The 2020 Ram 1500 is Now the Truck of Texas

The 2020 Ram 1500 has barely rolled out at dealer lots across the nation, but its accolades keep on piling up. At the annual Texas Truck Rodeo, hosted by the Texas Automotive Writers Association (TAWA), the 2020 Ram 1500 was the star. Ram Named the “Best Truck Brand for 2020”

U.S. News & World Report has handed Ram Truck its latest accolade — it named the pickup maker as the Best Truck Brand for 2020. The award, aptly titled “Best Vehicle Brand Awards” evaluates 35 different brands with the aim of recognizing industry-wide excellence in every segment, including cars, SUVs, trucks and other luxury vehicles.

“At Ram, we’re focused solely on building the best trucks and commercial vehicles in the market. This award from U.S. News & World Report acknowledges that effort. In a highly competitive segment, Ram is committed to innovation and powertrain leadership. By offering more content, more comfort and segment-leading features Ram is building trucks that meet and exceed the needs of the widest range of buyers,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand.

Reliability, safety data, test drives, and credible published reviews are all taken into account by U.S. News & World Report. A subsequent in-depth analysis follows so that the publication can issue its rankings. “The Ram 1500 has the capability of a work truck with the interior of a luxury SUV. It’s one of the few trucks that can do almost everything you ask of it, and do it all well,” said Jamie Page Deaton, Executive editor — U.S. News Best Cars.

U.S. News Best Cars determined award winners by averaging the overall score of individual automakers’ products in each award segment. Once the tallies were complete, the brand with the highest overall average score was named the immediate winner in the segment. Where do the overall scores come from? From the publication’s Best Cars rankings which are based on a combination of reliability data, consensus of the automotive press, and awarded safety scores.
