Kia Telluride Lands on Another Best Interiors List

It’s not hard to keep the 2020 Kia Telluride, the largest SUV in the Kia Motors lineup, in the spotlight. Just about every automotive journalist, media outlet, and news source is drooling over this one-of-a-kind, all-powerful and adventurous SUV. Recently named the 2020 New England Motor Press Association Winter SUV of the Year during its annual Winter Vehicle Driving Event, the Kia Telluride has also been celebrated by well-known name Autotrader. Having popped on two lists, Autotrader has placed the Kia Telluride on its Best New Cars of 2020 List and put the Kia Telluride on its Best Interiors Under $50k List. Now, another well-known name amongst automotive journalists just sank its teeth into the Kia Telluride and also found that it has a really nice interior cabin. WardsAuto placed the Kia Telluride on its “10 Best Interiors List”.

The 2020 Kia Telluride is definitely not alone. Also riding with this large SUV are the 2018 Stinger, 2015 Sedona, 2014 Soul, 2013 Forte, and 2011 Optima – all of which have also landed on WardsAuto “10 Best Interiors List” for their respective model year. 2020 Kia Telluride Named on Autotrader’s Best Interiors Under $50k List

Does the name “Autotrader” ring any bells? It should, with the current Vikings commercials airing. Two Vikings are comparing a price they paid for a sled, and then another appears in a truck or SUV and announces that they “should’ve gone with Autotrader”, as well as a nod to Kelley Blue Book. Having been in the business of the automotive industry for more than 20 years, Autotrader is like many organizations that provide consumers with trustworthy information and reviews about vehicles to buy and/or sell. Like other review sites, Autotrader also puts together “Best of” lists for consumers looking for something specific, like a really nice interior. Recently, Autotrader put together the best interiors for consumers that have a little extra money to spend, because the 2020 Kia Telluride won a 2020 Autotrader 10 Best Car Interiors Under $50,000 award.

Tis the Season of Good News for Kia Motors

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Stinger Business Insider

The Kia Stinger sports car just can’t be beat. Winning award after award, the Kia Stinger will be forever etched into our minds as the Kia Motors vehicle that stole hearts all through 2017 and 2018. It’s not just performance that the Kia Stinger has, although U.S. News & World Report named the Kia Stinger as the Best Four-door Sports Car. WardsAuto also named the 2018 Kia Stinger for Best Interior. Most recently, the Kia Stinger won a Digital Ad Campaign Award for Kia Motors, and there’s even more good news to share. Sharing the spotlight with the Kia Stinger are four affordable Kia models.

Business Insider and the Kia Stinger

Boy, if you want an in-depth look at a vehicle, the Business Insider Car of the Year is the review to look at. Taking home the big trophy for 2018, the Kia Stinger is Business Insider’s Car of the Year for 2018. Having only presented the trophy four times before, Kia Stinger is officially the fifth car to receive the trophy and the award. This sports car follows the Corvette Stingray in 2014, the Volvo XC90 in 2015, the Acura NSX in 2016, and the Porsche Panamera in 2017.

“In the half-decade we’ve been giving out our Car of the Year award, there had never been a vehicle that established itself as an early front-runner only to maintain its perch all year. But as soon as Senior Correspondent Matt DeBord drove the Kia Stinger in the Bay Area at the beginning of 2018, he knew it was something special. On return to Business Insider’s New York office from the West Coast, he could barely contain his enthusiasm.” – Business Insider

Fast and Expensive Cars that Can’t Match the 2018 Kia Stinger

Miami Lakes Automall 2018 Kia Stinger GT

The 2018 Kia Stinger has a lot going for it. A new sports car from Kia Motors, many wanted to get their hands on the Stinger to make modified versions, one of which popped up at the 2018 Chicago Auto Show. Kia Stinger Limited Editions were also released by Kia Motors a year after its debut to celebrate their newest addition and achievement. The 2018 Kia Stinger has won many awards since its release, and most recently was just named by WardsAuto for the “Best Interior Trophy.” With a starting MSRP of $31,900*, the 2018 Kia Stinger is more affordable than many expensive cars known to drag race. The Kia Stinger GT is even faster, and we’re going to pit it against some of the fastest cars that should probably rethink their price tag when the affordable Kia Stinger GT does laps around them.

Kia Stinger GT

Starting at $38,350*, the middle trim of the 2018 Kia Stinger lineup is the Kia Stinger GT. Powered by a twin turbocharged 3.3-liter DOHC V6 engine that can generate 365 horsepower and 376 lb-ft of torque, the Kia Stinger GT has a powertrain optimized for success and high performance. The DOHC design stands for “Double Overhead Camshaft”, and it’s a design that basically splits the work of an engine’s cylinders (six in this case) in half to take stress off the engine and allow it to perform more smoothly. This engine has also been optimized with continuously variable valve timing (CVVT) technology to increase the frequency the V6 cylinders intake gas and air and exhaust the resulting fumes, and uses gasoline direct injection for faster fuel delivery into the combustion chamber. Idle Stop and Go has also been integrated to save fuel economy when the engine idles, such as in stop-and-go traffic.

The 2018 Kia Stinger GT is said to have a 0-60 mph time of 4.7 seconds. We know it’s power, and we know it’s price. Now take a look at some of its competitors that think “high-performance” equates to “more expensive.”

Porsche Panamera

Yeah, we all know a Porsche is a “great car”, maybe even one of luxury given the starting price of $86,050 (dang!) And that’s for the standard trim; the trim we’re putting up against the 2018 Kia Stinger GT starts at $90,650 and is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 engine that can only generate 330 hp and 331 lb-ft of torque (lol, really?) All that money for a weaker engine that accelerates from 0-60 mph in 5.2 seconds? Pffft, next!
