Kia Motors is one auto brand that has been really blowing up lately. Whether it’s their newest hybrid and electric vehicles like the Kia Soul EV or the Kia Niro EV or the largest SUV in the lineup, the 2020 Kia Telluride, there’s been a lot of news surrounding Kia. 2019 has been a great year and with so many organizations and publications hosting award shows and putting together their best lists, we were happy to see how many Kia vehicles popped up, especially when it came to J.D. Power.
J.D. Power & Associates is a powerful name in the automotive industry, conducting many studies that cover many categories and features of vehicles every year. The Kia Soul ranked as the highest Compact Car by J.D. Power during the Multimedia Quality and Satisfaction Study that covers audio, communication, entertainment and navigation (ACEN) technologies, the Kia Forte was named highest ranking in 2019 J.D. Power APEAL Study that measures an owner or lessees’ emotional attachment and level of excitement in relation to their vehicle, and the 2018 Kia Stinger received J.D. Power’s first-ever “Engineering Award for the Highest Rated All-New Vehicle” award.
Kia Motors is currently doing really well in the auto industry. Winning awards and becoming the safest automotive brand in America, a new electric vehicle on the horizon a.k.a. the Kia Niro EV, and new isolated sound zone technology, there’s a lot of great things coming up for the automaker. With the new model year closing in and new models being added to the lineup, take a look at what’s coming up for Kia Motors in 2019.
The Kia Rio hatchback and sedan were redesigned for 2018, so we won’t see a huge difference until 2021.
The Kia Soul will get some enhancements in 2019. These include a standard 5-inch touch screen, rear camera display and voice recognition on the base model. In 2020, a pending redesign is already in the works, and we may even see a Kia Soul hybrid to complement the Soul EV (not available in the U.S.)
The 2018 Kia Stinger has some serious style, and this has brushed off onto several other vehicles, like the new Kia Forte. Making its way into its third generation, the Kia Forte has a refined powertrain, with new looks to the hood and tiger-nose grille. We may see this soon before the next model year.
