Find Out What Makes the Kia Cadenza So Great

Compared to the rest of the lineup, the 2018 Kia Cadenza is the definition of “flying under the radar”. The Kia Cadenza is often left in the shadows due to the Optima’s boost in sales and the latest breakout star, the Kia Stinger. However, once consumers sit inside, they will be pleasantly surprised. Ranked by Car and Driver as the second best full-size sedan and also the best car interior available under $40,000 (plus destination fee), lets see why consumers should consider the Kia Cadenza for the 2018 model year.

The 2018 Kia Cadenza is a perfect example as to why the Kia brand continues to redefine the meaning of “near luxury”. Offered in three different trim levels, Premium, Technology, and Limited, the biggest surprise to most consumers is how spacious the interior cabin is. After taking a seat inside, the cabin’s “visual flare” is immediately evident. The interior of the Cadenza is outfitted with quality standard materials like a power driver’s seat, power front-passenger seat, and heated front seats. For consumers who want additional luxury, some optional interior features include power-adjustable pedals, heated steering wheel, memory driver’s seat, heated rear seats, cooled front seats, and a head-up display.

As previously mentioned before, the interior cabin of the 2018 Kia Cadenza is incredibly spacious. The long roofline delivers plenty of rear-seat head room for those taller passengers. The legroom is spacious and “limo-like”, and for additional small-item storage, the center console and door pockets offer added cargo space. Included on the Technology and Limited trims, the driver seat has a power leg bolster that slides out for better support to taller drivers. The wide doors, tall door openings, narrow side sills and unobtrusive seat bolster make it easy to get in and out of the front seats.

The interior cabin of the Kia Cadenza also offers an exceptional infotainment system. A 7-inch screen display powered by UVO features AM/FM/MP3/SiriusXM audio system and Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto capabilities, all standard features. In addition, steering-wheel with manual tilt and telescoping and motor driven power steering (MDPS) also come standard. The Technology and Limited trim levels include an 8.0-inch display with the above features, an  electronic parking brake (EPB) with auto hold, an auto-dimming rearview mirror with homelink and compass, a power rear window sunshade, and rear side window sunshades.

According to IIHS, the Kia Cadenza is a Top Safety Pick for 2018. All three trim levels share numerous safety features like dual front advanced airbags, dual front and rear seat-mounted side airbags, driver’s knee airbag, anti-lock braking system (ABS), vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, traction control system, electronic brake-force distribution (EBD), and high-line tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS). Another safety feature that may attract parents is how easy the Cadenza’s child-seat LATCH anchors are to use. Once the car seat in installed, there is still sufficient room for either the drive or front-seat passenger to sit comfortably.

In the end, the 2018 Kia Cadenza is not only captivating, but surprisingly efficient. Consumers are given to opportunity to enjoy luxury without breaking the bank. Kia Niro EV Gets 280 Miles

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Niro EV Range

News about Kia Motors new electric vehicle, the Kia Niro EV, keeps popping up as we get closer to its release date. What was first unveiled as a concept at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas quickly took off as a new production vehicle for Kia Motors to expand their alternative fuel vehicle lineup. First, the 2018 Kia Niro hybrid crossover came out in early-mid 2017, followed by the Kia Niro Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) at the very end of 2017, and now Kia is taking this crossover and going all electric – it could even be great competition for Tesla in the all-electric crossover market today.

We’ll see more of 2018 Kia Niro EV at the 2018 Paris Motor Show in September, but here’s what we know so far. The original concept of the Kia Niro EV was sporting a unique front bumper, an exclusive radiator grille, futuristic sporty air intake, arrowhead-shaped LED daytime running lights, and flush-mounted grille and subtle geometric pattern that houses the vehicle’s electric charging port. With Kia Motors working on wireless electric vehicle charging, they may not even need a port soon enough, but that technology is a little ways off at the moment. The rest of the concept design took a bit of a slim approach with a sleek profile, but also gives the EV an aggressive look to it.

2019 Kia Sorento Shines in New Marketing Campaign

Miami Lakes Automall 2019 Kia Sorento Marketing

Well, it seems like Fiat Chrysler Automobiles aren’t the only automotive group making ads for this summer’s advertising campaign. FCA may have just kicked off its 2018 Edition with Apple Music, but Kia Motors is also joining the fray with their newly refreshed 2019 Kia Sorento SUV. Couldn’t pick a better vehicle, really.

What’s Good About the 2019 Kia Sorento?

We think the refreshed 2019 Kia Sorento is the perfect choice to get some air time for Kia Motors for a number of reasons. For one, it’s a perfect chance to show off the SUVs safety features, having received a Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). A vehicle only receives this award if it passes all five crash tests with a “good” rating, the highest rating the IIHS uses for their crashworthiness and crash avoidance/mitigation tests. The Kia Sorento was also ranked highest for the Midsize SUV segment during the 2018 J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, just saying.

Kia Sorento Marketing Campaign

To make a point of showing off the versatility, advanced technology, and comfort of Kia Motors best-selling and most capable SUV, the automaker has produced a series of videos for various multimedia channels in both English and Spanish. These videos will be placing a focus on the available all-wheel drive system, standard three-row seven-passenger seating, and the more upscale cabin with new technology. One of these we’ve actually already seen, when the Kia Sorento tackled Hell’s Gate in Moab, Utah.

https://youtu.be/VYl42dcJeLM

“This campaign mirrors Kia’s mindset as a challenger brand, as Kia and the Sorento have overcome roadblocks, both real and perceived. From off-roading up a mountain to commuting back and forth to work, or a weekend full of running errands, these are the hurdles that drivers conquer every day…As a brand, Kia has conquered our own mountains, especially over the past four years by ranking as the ‘Highest Mass Market Brand in Initial Quality’ in J.D. Power’s Initial Quality Study. And the Sorento, assembled in West Point, Georgia, has played a major role in our success by being named the top Midsize SUV in initial quality the last two years.” – said Saad Chehab, vice president, marketing communications, Kia Motors America.

The other two advertising spots can be viewed below:

Conquer Your Mountain

This video shows off the all-wheel drive capabilities of the 2019 Kia Sorento while driving through rocky terrain. A voice over talks about mountains and highlights the versatility of the SUV.

https://youtu.be/6fr3VmJTX_s

Ready to Be Conquered

Nearly the same video with additional footage, the narrator in this spot highlights the passenger space and technology of the 2019 Kia Sorento SUV.

A little on the tame side, but that’s alright. Kia Sorento owners may never take their own SUVs to Moab, Utah to scale mountains, or even go off-roading, although the new Sorento is fully capable of doing so. It’s just interesting to see the 2019 Kia Sorento go “to Hell and back” literally and figuratively. It has been refreshed after all.

Take a Peek at the Kia Niro EV Interior

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Niro EV Interior

When the electric vehicle variation of the Kia Niro debuted at the 2018 Consumer Electronics Show (CES), there was a lot of interesting information to learn. Kia Motors just keeps pushing the envelope when it comes to their alternative fuel vehicle lineup, continuously expanding it whenever they have a winner on their hands. We can’t complain – honestly, it feels good to go green, and if we can drive a fancy car and help the environment, then why not? During the initial debut, the Kia Niro EV was just a concept, and much of the interior was like a cardboard cut-out. Recently, a more fine-tuned prototype of the Kia Niro EV was revealed in Busan, South Korea, and a savvy commentator, Jose Guerrero, took the chance to make a video and upload it for everyone to enjoy. Thanks, Jose!

Recap of the Powertrain Details

During the initial debut of the Kia Niro EV concept, the powerain details were pretty hush-hush at the 2018 CES in Las Vegas. Kia called it a “next-generation electric powertrain [with] new production technologies earmarked for near-future EVs from Kia [with a 64 kWh battery] paired to a powerful 150-kilowatt ([200-horsepower]) electric motor.” With an entirely new 64-kilowatt-hour battery pack and a rated 238 miles of range, that’s not too bad for an all-electric vehicle. That’s the same range for the 2018 Chevrolet Bolt EV.

So the Kia Niro EV concept is said to share the longest-range of an affordable electric car with the Chevy Bolt EV. The concept had some style changes, doing away with the tiger-nose grille, and replacing it with a pair of very thin lamps and a smooth, front bumper with a recharging outlet on the driver’s side of the front fascia. Kia said the interior would have a “”pure, minimalist, and digital [approach to provide] an innate sense of space and calm [while inside the car].”

Kia Motors Has Style, Power, and Now, Safety in the Bag

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Rio Safety IIHS

If the auto industry was a game of billiards, and the balls were safety features, Kia Motors would win, because they’ve been racking up awards from various automotive safety organizations for the past few months. In May 2018, eight models from Kia Motors were awarded a Top Safety Pick or Top Safety Pick+ from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). Later in May, two organizations named several Kia vehicles for their safety on their safe car lists, and again in June, there were two more reports of Kia vehicles being named for their safety. Now we’re in July, and to keep the pattern going, we’ve got one more Kia models with some notable safety features for the 2018 model year.

The eight Kia models that got in the good graces of the IIHS were the 2019 Kia Sorento SUV, 2018 Kia Forte sedan, 2018 Kia Optima sedan, and 2018 Soul compact car for a Top Safety Pick+ rating. The other four vehicles, the 2018 Kia Cadenza sedan, 2018 Kia Sedona minivan, 2018 Kia Sorento SUV, and 2018 Kia Sportage crossover all received a Top Safety Pick from the IIHS. It wasn’t the first time either – Kia models have been winning safety awards since 2016.

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Stinger Police Cruiser

The Kia Stinger is Becoming a Police Cruiser

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Stinger Police Cruiser

First it was the Dodge Charger Pursuit made for Law Enforcement Officers (LEOs) looking to get a one up on criminals that think they can outrun the boys in blue. Then came the 2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit immediately followed by the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit. It was only a matter of time before the POs decided to look at other automakers and the fast vehicles they’re producing. Assuming no one wants to beat up a Chevy Corvette, the best choice for a sports car to get a badge is the one and only Kia Stinger.

There is no official name for the fleet of Kia Stinger police cruisers, but when it comes to the Queensland Police Service (QPS) in Australia, they surely won’t have any trouble catching up with the bad guys. Although the Kia Stinger GT trims are more powerful, to start, the Queensland Police will be putting 50 units of the 365hp 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6 Stinger into service this year alone. Seems police forces around the world are starting to discover the potential of Kia Motors.

There’s no word yet on what kind of modifications one would see on a Kia Stinger police cruiser. It could take some cues from the West Coast Customs modified 2018 Kia Stinger for a power boost and mods for better handling in tough road conditions. It would be wise to grab a few ideas from the current Pursuit vehicles in America, such as special door panels made from high-grade kevlar and able to withstand gunfire from a 44 Magnum and lower, performance-tuned suspension, larger brake rotors, high-performance tires, and the QPS may want to look into a couple of safety add-ons. The 2018 Kia Stinger V6 trims may come with a rearview camera with dynamic guidelines, and a front and rear park assist system, but for the Dodge police cruisers, these were upgraded to also warn the police officer if someone is approaching the vehicle and then engages safety protocols for maximum security.

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Motors Leading Brand

Kia Motors Leading Auto Brand in 2018

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Motors Leading Brand

For the past few years, Kia Motors has increasingly met and exceeded consumers expectations. Ever since their “The Curve Ahead” promo for the Kia Stinger, the automaker has been doubling up on their improvements to push the brand forward. Now, for the fourth consecutive year, Kia Motors is the highest ranked non-luxury brand according to the J.D. Power 2018 U.S. Initial Quality Study (IQS) results. Along with Genesis, Kia Motors is leading the brand, and four Kia models ranked highest in their respective segments.

J.D. Power 2018 U.S. Initial Quality Study

Every year, J.D. Power and Associates conduct the Initial Quality Study, a survey-based study that focuses on vehicle quality reported by drivers after 90 days of ownership. The study is conducted each year, with the survey period lasting from February to May, and the 2018 IQS is based on responses from 75,712 purchasers and lessees of new 2018 model-year vehicles. Miami Lakes Automall Kia Stinger Breaks Mold

How the Kia Stinger Breaks the Sports Car Mold

Miami Lakes Automall Kia Stinger Breaks Mold

Is there really anything else we can say about the 2018 Kia Stinger that hasn’t been said already? The 2018 Kia Stinger Continues to Win Awards from all sorts of big names in the industry, most recently the interior of the Kia Stinger Won the 10 Best Interiors Trophy from WardsAuto and was named by the U.S. News & World Report for “Best Four-Door Sports Cars”. The 2018 Kia Stinger is also an affordable sports car that beats the competition of expensive and “fast” vehicles. Is there really anything else? Well, sometimes it takes a keen eye and a little curiosity to notice the smaller things that make this sports car something unique.

Style

Let’s talk about style. The 2018 Kia Stinger is one sexy-looking machine, mechanophilia’s rejoice! Not only is the Kia Stinger immediately recognizable, but it can attract car enthusiasts and sports car lovers within a 50-foot radius (this actually happened, no joke). But there is something quite obvious about the Kia Stinger that we’d like to mention. The 2018 Kia Stinger is a sports car – not an SUV, not a crossover, not a truck. Thank the Automotive Gods we don’t have to deal with another SUV or crossover. Sure, the auto market is shifting towards crossovers, but we don’t all want a big car. So it’s nice to see a change by a well-known and loved automotive brand, Kia Motors.

And do you know why the 2018 Kia Stinger won the “10 Best Interiors Trophy from WardsAuto”? It could be because every trim of the Kia Stinger features leather upholstery; or because the Stinger, yet elegant, roomy, and athletic, takes some cues from the popular Kia Optima for a roomy and comfortable cabin; or because the interior is designed intuitively, giving drivers a sense of a second skin or an extension of themselves. Now that is something you won’t hear about most automobiles.
