Miami Lakes Kia Voice Recognition Kakao

Kia Motors and the Hyundai Motor Group are going to be bringing some pretty interesting vehicles and technology to the road in the coming years. In 2020, Kia Motors will get its very own hydrogen fuel cell vehicle, and soon enough, Kia vehicles will also have artificial intelligence (A.I.) technology, too. Partnered with Kakao, a well-known technology firm in Korea, the Hyundai Motor Group (which includes Kia Motors) and Kakao are working together to bring A.I. tech to cars.

Kakao, best known for its messaging app “Kakao Talk”, is a business built around communication, media and content, entertainment, transportation, and really anything that makes one’s lifestyle a little better and a little easier. These days, many auto brands are hooking up with outside sources to improve their lineup with state-of-the-art technology. Lately, it would seem Mitsubishi Motors and Kia Motors are racing to see who will bring out A.I. self-driving vehicles first, with the technology in the Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross already pushing the envelope.

Kia Motors is one automotive brand that has fully embraced the green market. There are several hybrid vehicles in their lineup, including the popular Kia Optima and brand spankin’ new Kia Niro crossover. Wouldn’t you know, with how well Kia has been doing so well in the past two years, showered with awards and earning the top spot in the JD Power Initial Quality Study, Kia has recently outpaced Ford to take the number two spot for hybrid vehicles in the US market.

Part of the Hyundai Motor Group, both Hyundai and Kia sold 4,796 hybrid vehicles in July alone. Looking for some of the best brands in the automotive world? According to Jumpstart Automotive Media, an organization that highlights the vehicle segments, makes, and models that captured the largest share of online car shoppers during the first half of 2017 points out Toyota, Tesla, and Kia Motors. This year alone, to date, Kia has raised its overall brand share to 3.1 percent, which is a 36 percent increase compared to June of last year. Much of this can be thanks to its recently launched new 2017 hybrid subcompact SUV Niro, its redesigned Rio model, along with the popular Kia Soul and Sorento models.

“New and redesigned models will often win the attention of car and truck shoppers, especially when new styles, features and performance are highlighted … That being said, we’re keeping a close eye on the subcompact utility space, which offers a unique blend of versatility, comfort, value and functionality that appeals to a wide range of consumers.” – Libby Murad-Patel, Jumpstart vice president marketing and strategic insights.

Kia Cee’d Spied, More Details Coming after Frankfurt Motor Show

Miami Lakes Kia Cee'd

Kia Motors is back at it again. We’re starting to think they’re in competition with Mitsubishi Motors, because with every vehicle announced by either auto brand, another follows. First we had the Kia Stinger, then the Kia Niro hybrid crossover, then the Kia Stonic said to also have a PHEV variant, and now we have an upcoming Kia Cee’d hatchback.

The Kia Cee’d was teased earlier this year, but there was not much to say aside from the Kia brand tiger nose grille and sleek headlights. Today, we can see there is a little more style coming out for this new vehicle. Kia has already claimed to be heading in a newer sportier direction, keeping up with their philosophy on style and design. They’ve also discussed releasing sportier looking vehicles like the 2018 Kia Stinger and new Kia Rio and Rio5 models. Based on the camouflaged picture above, one could easily mistake the hidden Cee’d for a Kia Rio5 hatchback model.
