Miami Lakes Automall Most Loved SUVs

Like the annual J.D. Power Initial Quality Study, every year Strategic Vision measures an owner’s experience with their vehicle after 90 days of ownership. But instead of measurements for quality, Strategic Vision’s evaluation is based on how much love a consumer has for their vehicle.

Love is hard to quantify, but Strategic Vision’s survey asks for ratings on over 120 vehicle aspects, ranging from simple stuff like the operations of the door handles to the overall performance of the vehicle. This year, Kia, Chevrolet, Dodge and Jeep are among the SUV brands that consumers love the most, and all four of those vehicles are available at Miami Lakes Automall!

Mid-Size CUV: 2016 Kia Sorento

Everyone likes a crossover, and why not? It’s a great combination of the maneuverability of a smaller car and the toughness and cargo space of an SUV. The Kia Sorento is available as a five- or seven-passenger vehicle and it offers as much as 100 cubic feet of storage space for five passenger models and a 110 cubic feet for seven-passenger models. Kia is also known for its top safety standards, making the Sorento a great choice for families.

With seven trims available, there are many options a buyer can utilize to customize their new Kia Sorento. There are a range of standard features, but there are some optional high-end finishes and tech features available as add-ons.  Plus, the amount of features to make the Kia Sorento a convenient vehicle are large and plenty, making it a top choice and a CUV to love. Starting MSRP at $25,400.

Kia Soul’s Best Buy Award and the New NiroBot

Miami Lakes Kia NiroBot

Kia has been killing it this year. Throughout 2016, they have won awards, released new innovative models, and they even had some pretty nifty vehicles to show off at SEMA this year. However, they’re not stopping anytime soon, seeing as how they just won another award and are continuing to reach out to their consumers.

2017 Kia Soul Earns Best Buy Award from Consumer Guide Automotive

The 2017 Kia Soul was introduced just in time for the 2017 Consumer Guide Automotive Awards. Being a part of the subcompact car segment, it went home with the Best Buy award – for the third year in a row! This is a shout out to the past when earlier this very year, Kia received the number one spot in ranking during the J.D. Power and Associates Quality Study.

Miami Lakes 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid Fuel Efficiency

2017 Kia Optima Hybrid Gets 10% Fuel Economy Increase

Miami Lakes 2017 Kia Optima Hybrid Fuel Efficiency

Fuel economy is one of the largest issues auto manufacturers are dealing with today. Fuel emission standards change, customers want to go further with less fill-ups, and if we can reduce our carbon footprint, all the better. That’s one of the reasons hybrids popped up, and PHEVs and EVs are becoming a big deal. So when Kia released the Kia Optima Hybrid, that got a lot of people’s attention.

This year, the 2017 Kia Optima Hyrbid was unveiled, and it has been completely redesigned. For three generations, the Kia Optima has been powered by internal combustion engines ranging from 1.6-liters to 2.4-liters, with possibly the best fuel economy in the lineup at 28/39 mpg city/highway. The Optima Hybrid is powered by a 2.0 hybrid system and has an EPA-rated fuel economy of 39 mpg in the city and 46 mpg on the highway. That’s nearly a 30 percent increase in the city and almost 20 percent on the highway.

Miami Lakes 2017 Kia Soul Turbo

New Turbocharged 2017 Kia Soul

Miami Lakes 2017 Kia Soul TurboThe 2017 Kia soul is finally getting some oomph! Yeah, that’s right. Since its birth in 2010, the Kia Soul has had many hurdles to jump, some of which were because of its aesthetics. Well, for the 2017 model, Kia is taking charge, making some changes, and adding a little more power under the hood —  you could go as far to say they’re turbocharging its appeal.

New Engine

The first big change for the 2017 Kia Soul is its new turbocharged engine. Originally, the Kia Soul Plus (+) and Soul Exclaim (!) shared the same 2.0-liter I4 engine, generating about 164-horsepower. It also had a combined EPA of 27 mpg. The new 2017 Kia Soul Exclaim will come standard with a 1.6-liter turbocharged I4 engine, increasing its horsepower to 201 horses, and its torque to 196 lb-ft. Contrary to popular belief that more power sacrifices fuel economy, the 2017 Soul model actually gets a slight boost in fuel economy to average out at 28 combined mpg. Read the rest of this entry >>

Miami Lakes 2017 Kia Soul Sema

Kia Debuts Innovative Niro + 2 Self-Driving Concepts at SEMA

Miami Lakes 2017 Kia Sedona Sema

Once a year in Las Vegas, automakers tend go “all out” and show off their newest creations at SEMA. Having won many awards and making noise during 2016, is it any wonder that Kia is also bringing a few surprises to SEMA this year? The auto brand has three vehicles to debut, and they’re looking pretty great.

The SEMA trade show, or the Specialty Equipment Market Association trade show, an organization that deals exclusively to the vehicle aftermarket, holds a show every year in Las Vegas so automakers and buyers can see what’s on display, discover new auto parts, or just attend seminars and network with the right people. It started November 1, and only lasts four days. The SEMA Show attracts more than 100,000 industry leaders from more than 100 countries to discuss and share profit opportunities in the automotive, truck and SUV, and other auto markets. However, it’s not open to the general public.

We’re not here to talk about it anyways. We’re here to discuss Kia’s new vehicles being brought to light. First up is a vehicle we’ve been waiting for, but with a couple of modifications – the new Kia Niro.

New Kia Niro Concept

On display at SEMA is a really cool modified version of the all-new Kia Niro (pictured above). On Kia’s Facebook page, they state “…[we] wanted to make a car as tough and versatile as a triathlete with the comfort of a day spa.” It’s a little odd at first, but think it over – a vehicle that can do anything with a buff exterior, but on the inside is comfy and cozy. However, the Niro is looking nothing like the original concept.
