Consumers looking to upgrade the Grand Cherokee Trailhawk with a more powerful engine can do so with the 5.7-liter HEMI engine (360 horsepower, 390 lb-ft of torque).
The Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is equipped with a heavy duty off-road system – Jeep Quadra-Drive II 4×4 System with rear Electronic Limited Slip Differential (ELSD). Equipped with a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine, the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk also has the option for consumers to upgrade the engine, and its available upgraded engine is a 3.2-liter V6 engine. The standard 2.4L engine produces 184 horsepower with 171 lb-ft of torque, while the 3.2L engine produces a more powerful 271 horsepower with 239 lb-ft of torque. The Cherokee Trailhawk has an estimated fuel economy of 18 mpg in the city and 24 mpg on the highway plus a maximum towing capacity of 4,500 pounds.
The Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk is equipped with the Jeep Active Drive Lock 4×4 system. Included in this system is a Selec-terrain Traction System, real axle disconnect plus brake lock differentials. Also, the Cherokee has a Trail Rated mechanical rear axle lock and a 56:1 crawl ratio – NOT BAD!!
As a five-passenger SUV, the Cherokee Trailhawk has 24.6 cubic feet of cargo space in the trunk and once the second-row seats are folded down, the cargo space volume increases to 58.9 cubic feet.

Jeep Renegade Trailhawk
The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk has a standard 2.4-liter 4-cylinder MultiAir engine that produces 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. The 2.4L engine is a fuel efficient engine and it gives the Renegade Trailhawk an average fuel economy of 21 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The Jeep Renegade Trailhawk has a maximum towing capacity of 2,000 pounds.
Equipped with the Jeep Active Drive Low 4×4 system, the Renegade Trailhawk’s 4×4 system includes a rear axle disconnect, brake lock differential and Selec-terrain system. The Selec-terrain system has four driving modes – auto, snow, sand and mud. In order for the Renegade Trailhawk to accomplish the best off-roading experience for each terrain, traction is distributed to the correct wheels according to the driving mode.

The Compass Trailhawk has a five-passenger maximum seating capacity, as well as 27.2 cubic feet of truck space and a total cargo volume of 59.8 cubic feet once the second-row seats are folded down.
With an 8.5-inch ground clearance, the Compass Trailhawk has a 30.3 degree approach angle, 33.6 degree departure angle and 24.4 degree breakover angle.
