Miami Lakes Automall Jeep Grand Cherokee L

“The all-new Jeep Grand Cherokee L presents a great opportunity for customization and personalization. Across the entire Jeep Grand Cherokee L lineup, we offer 75 factory-backed, quality-tested accessories.” -Mark Bosanac, Vice President of Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care

Introduced in 1937, Mopar began its career as a source for antifreeze products. But by the muscle-mania era, Mopar looked to expand on curating performance instruments that enhanced speed and control. Mopar would later blossom into a zealous force in service, parts, and customer-care operations worldwide. Mopar currently distributes over 500 accessories in the Jeep lineup.

Below is just a select few of Mopar accessories for the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L

New Side Steps

The new side steps flow with the vehicle’s design. The side steps fasten with three mounting brackets plus stud plates on each side, and no rocket science is not required. Constructing the side step consists of black galvanized steel with stainless steel and chrome-flashed overlay. The steps are then powder coated for a lasting finish once the overlay is complete.

Roof-mount cargo basket

The cargo basket provides that much-needed storage capacity when there’s not much room in the back from all the camping gear. The Canyon version roof basket stretches 44 inches long by 39 inches wide and a height of 6.5 inches premiering the Jeep logo. The maximum load capacity is 150 pounds. Keep that in mind when the in-laws start to agitate.

Roof-mount cross bars

The black roof-rack crossbars are essential for the roof-mount cargo basket. The roof rack comes equipped with two per kit, and attachment is plausible on vehicles containing production side rails.

New 21-inch wheels

The 21-inch wheels are granite crystal wheels featuring a five-spoke, triple-split design with the Jeep logo affixed in the centerpiece.

Watersport Carrier

The watersport carrier supports the transport of a kayak, surfboard, or even a sailboard. The carrier also includes multi-position cradles for flat or curved hulls. There are also latching and push-button nylon to contain cargo. The watersport carrier easily attaches to the roof-rack bars listed above.

“The Jeep brand continues to shatter expectations of the full-size SUV segment with the all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Now with a third row of seating for the first time, the newest iteration of the most awarded SUV ever is designed and engineered to deliver an unmatched combination of even more legendary 4×4 capability, superior on-road refinement, premium styling and craftsmanship inside and out.” -Vice President of Jeep Brand North America Jim Morrison

Jeep Gladiator Joins the Dual-Door Group

Jeep Performance Parts (JPP) unveiled its new half doors for the 2021 Jeep Gladiator. Offering a heightened sense of open-air freedom, the new half doors enable an already invigorating off-road experience.

“Open-air freedom is a hallmark of the Jeep brand. Following our introduction of new half doors for Jeep Wrangler earlier this year, we are now giving passionate Gladiator owners an opportunity to let even more of the outside in.” – Vice President of Jeep Brand North America, Jim Morrision

Dual-Door Group

The factory innovated, examined, and supported the new half-door option, enriching the Gladiator’s production style, protection, and passenger safety. Before the Dual-Door, The Jeep Gladiator received the highest rank in midsize pickup within the J.D. Power 2021 Initial Quality Study (IQS). As a result, Jeep wishes to sustain the heavyweight title with lower window ledges and half doors, providing heightened visibility when maneuvering on and off the road.

Full doors and half doors are available from the new Jeep Gladiator Dual-Door Group on all Jeep Gladiator trims through the Mopar Custom Ship as part of new vehicle purchase. The weightless, heavy-duty aluminum half doors come packaged within the vehicle.

The new half doors are compatible with these features: power mirrors, blind-spot detection, passive and nonpassive entry handles, and power locks. Alternate from full doors to half doors in mere minutes. Just utilize the existing hinge locations and wiring connections.

Upper-Window

The new upper window concocts a weather-tight seal that features zippered plastic windows for simple removal. The upper windows come in two different materials: base-model vinyl similar to the Gladiator’s soft-top roof or premium acrylic that resembles the pickup truck’s premium soft-top roof. In addition, an easy tool-free dual-guide post feature comes equipped for the installation and removal of each upper-door frame.

“We work closely with our friends at Jeep to create and properly engineer new accessories. Across the entire Jeep vehicle lineup, we offer more than 500 quality-tested, factory-backed parts and accessories.” -North America Vice President, Mopar Service, Parts & Customer Care, Mark Bosanac

Duck, Duck, Jeep! Owners Get Creative With Their Jeep Vehicles

Duck Duck Jeep

Looking at Jeep, drivers can drive any other vehicle owners to envy. Just look at the Jeep wave. The Jeep wave is more natural than riding a bike. When two Jeep owners cross paths, it’s as if watching two family members embrace.  Jeep’s loyalty program, the Jeep Wave Program, is commemorating camaraderie. But seasons come and go, and muck like Summer fading to Fall, so has the Jeep Wave, with Jeep Ducking. The 2021 Jeep Ducking is the new craze systemic to sweep owners.

How One Small Gesture Brought A Wave of Rubber Duck Jeep Influencers Everywhere

Allison Parliament had no intentions of changing the world, but evolving the world is precisely what the Jeep celebrity did. So one day in June, Allison took a trip from Clanton, Alabama, to Ontario. Allison needed gas, so she stopped her 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara at the nearest gas station in a small Canadian town. Allison added a rubber ducky to the Jeep vehicle parked by her and the rest was history.

One Quacker to Change the World

Once Allison left the store, another beautiful Jeep lay in the parking lot. Allison inscribed “Nice Jeep” on the ducky and placed it on the stranger’s vehicle, and the owner noticed. “(He) came out and laughed. Said, ‘You need to put this on social media. We figured it would go around town, make a few people happy, and then fade out.” -Allison

That was far from the case. Instead, the spontaneous moment became a social media sensation, with Allison gaining 10,000 followers on Facebook. The rubber duckies appeared on Wranglers, Liberties, and Cherokees populating the US, Canada, and Mexico. Eventually, the rubber ducky traveled to Germany, Japan, and over thirty other countries. Jeep took notice of the notoriety and incorporated the new Wrangler Rubicon with the hashtag Jeep Ducking. Jeep Ducking unraveled a global game that’s prevailed beyond the Jeep, incorporating Subaru and classic cars.

“We don’t cap it off at just Jeep, Everybody needs kindness and I think the last year has shown that we need more kindness than normal.”-Allison

Ducks for Education

Allison observed the kindness she spread and wanted to go a lot deeper than that. So the Ducking creator created the non-profit “Ducky Grants,” educators can apply for funds upward of $100 to buy supplies for the classroom, which often comes from the educator’s own pockets.

“So many teachers give so much more than they have, we decided, why don’t we turn what good we have into something better.” – Allison

Ducky Grants sells t-shirts and decals, with all proceeds going to the grant program. With Allison making great preparations for the Duck Duck Jeep Invasion in Wetumpka, Alabama. The event serves a double motive: for the non-profit and reconstructing downtown, which was devastated by a tornado two years prior.  The Duck Duck Jeep Invasion runs from October 17th through the 19th, and tickets are available through the Jeep Ducking Facebook page. The Invasion will raffle off a $10,000 1995 Wrangler CJ with several mods, including a lifted suspension, to add more heat to the Flames.

Anticipation Builds for the Newest Jeep Gladiator

Wednesday, July 28th, 2021

Jeep continues to persevere as pioneers in a constantly evolving market. For example, Jeep now builds a desert racer in a market where the meanest off-road race machines can range from $500,000 to $1 million to make.

To be clear, the Gladiator does not compete with the likes of the 4×4 truck Larry Roeseler or “Mr.Baja,” used in the Baja 500. But the Jeep Gladiator Mojave is the first to don Jeep’s new Desert Rated badge. The Mojave withstands extreme heat and also the sands of desert racing.

While it is easy to compare the Mojave and the modified Rubicon, the upgrades are of two different worlds. Frames and axles are reinforced—the suspension system is designed for hard landings, and the suspension system includes a 1-inch front lift to support colossal wheel wells. Additionally, there are 33-inch Falken Wildpeak tires that enable climbing at accelerating speeds. The Rubicon only runs up to 30 mph in 4-Low, the Mojave up to 50 mph.

Even with the Mojave’s stamp of off-road durability, it’s still an incredible ride for commutes and weekend fun too. Mojaves steering is also pretty silent compared to the Rubicon, and that’s because the tire treads are designed specifically for sands.

Consumers shouldn’t be afraid of not turning heads as the midsize pickup displays a beautiful hood with faux scoop, the Mojave decal, orange tow hooks, and orange accents (similar to the blue accents on the new Wrangler 4xe).

The Mojave contains the same engine as the Gladiator, a 3.6-liter V-6 that produces 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque. There are also different transmissions available: the 6-speed automatic and the 8-speed automatic. The 4-low also receives extra assistance from the 4WD transfer case by providing a taller ratio of 2.72:1. The Diesel variation of the Mojave was recently released, and it provides a 3.0-liter V-6 with 260 hp and a massive 442 lb-ft of torque.

Give the Mojave a little time, about 8.3 seconds worth, and she can go from 0 to 60 mph. Not the best, but don’t forget to add the sand. Shift into 4-Hi and tap the Off-Road+ button, and the sandy trail and dunes don’t stand a chance. Instead, consumers can coast as the system automatically adjusts the throttle, transmission, shift points, and traction control.

The New 2022 Jeep Compass

Monday, July 26th, 2021
Miami Lakes Auto Mall Jeep Compass

The new Jeep Compass was unveiled at the 2021 Chicago Auto Show. The Compass welcomed consumers to a new premium design, all-new interior, advanced safety, and security features. Additionally, with an abundance of next-generation technology, the autonomous driving joint provides the most technically advanced Compass Jeep has ever made.

The Jeep Compass is available in five trims:

  • Sport
  • Latitude
  • Latitude LUX (New)
  • Limited
  • Trail Rated Trailhawk

On-Road Performance

It doesn’t matter where the Compass travels; whether off-roading on a trail or navigating through the busiest street, the Jeep Compass is equipped to deliver quality performance. Off-roading capabilities are powered by two advanced, intelligent 4×4 systems that can provide 100% torque to any specific wheel. The Power-transfer unit (PTU) and rear axle sustain the 4×4 models with better fuel economy than ever before. In addition, the Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4×4 systems engage at any given moment when 4×4 traction is needed.

Jeep Active Drive

Through the PTU, the Jeep Active Drive is fully automatic and a seamless operation no matter the speed. No driver interference is needed, whether in or out of the four-wheel drive. The active drive comes standard on the Sport, Latitude, and Limited 4×4 models. In addition, the Active Drive can emit up to 100% of the engine’s available torque to the rear wheels, which allow for optimum grip in conditions of low tractions.

Jeep Active Drive Low

The Active Drive Low provides a 20:1 crawl ratio. The Jeep Active Drive and Active Drive Low 4×4 systems include the Jeep Selec-Terrain system with four modes Auto, Snow, Sand, and Mud, with the Rock Mode being exclusive to the Trailhawk model.

Interior Craftsmanship

The 2022 Jeep Compass showcased a technologically advanced cabin that presents a 10.1-inch Uconnect 5 center stack display and a 10.25-inch frameless full-color thin-film transistor (TFT) digital cluster. In addition, a team designed the interior of the Compass to ensure the compact SUV penetrates a premium experience not just outside but inside the cabin. Once inside the cab, the driver and passengers are welcomed to a new meaning of spaciousness.

The panel features a wrapped mid-pad, held by a sculpted, painted, or chrome-plated accent running the length of the panel, seemingly integrating slim HVAC vents. An appealing contrast sitting below the front panel highlights a painted or hydrographic applique adding textual richness. There’s also a Gloss Black center stack display that heightens the horizontal theme with either an 8.4-inch (entry-level) or 10.1-inch high-definition touchscreen. With the 10.1-inch screen being standard for the Latitude LUX, Trailhawk, and Limited.

The driver control center integrates several functional features. Starting with a streamlined cup holder, a new shift bezel with an integrated park brake, and a chrome-textured Selec-Terrain toggle. The front cabin also provides a USB Type-A and C port along with a wireless charging pad.

Decorative effects of the front cabin provide a slim headrest with heated and ventilated essentials. Heated seats will be available for second-row seating.HVAC vents are repositioned in the second row, and rear passengers will be able to access an optional 115-volt power outlet and up to two USB ports.

Black and Steel Grey interior with Sepia-wrapped accents on the mid-panel and doors adding a distinct finish to the Limited models. The front cabin’s door trim panels are soft to touch with an eye appeal to match. Redesigned door handles are 360-degrees, surrounding a Piano Black bezel.

Safety and Security Features

There are over 75 features to accompany the new Jeep Compass. Starting with the Highway Assist, a semi-autonomous driving system. The system utilizes multiple sensors, radars, and cameras, controlling the vehicle on approved highways.

Another new feature is Traffic Sign Recognition, and this feature displays the speed limit sign information to the driver. Traffic Sign Recognition will be available for the Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude models.

Pedestrian/Cyclist Automatic Emergency Braking comes standard in every Compass trim. Radar technology is used to identify potential frontal impacts. So when the system detects a pedestrian and senses a collision, it will activate the vehicle’s brakes if the driver does not respond.

A surround-view camera is available on the Latitude models above, offering a 360-degree, bird’s-eye view of the vehicle and its surroundings. In addition, the system is enhanced through ParkSense front and rear park assist. Parallel and Perpendicular Park Assist are also available for the Limited, Trailhawk, and High Altitude models using ultrasonic sensors to guide the driver.

The Compass is scheduled to arrive in the US in the fall of 2021.

Autonomous Off-Roading Anyone? Jeep Says Yes!

Thursday, July 15th, 2021

Miami Lakes Auto Mall Jeep Wrangler 4Xe

On July 8th (2021), the parent company of Jeep, Stellantis, organized an EV day event. On this day, Jeep declared it would electrify every single model by 2025. Jeep already maintains the number 1 best-selling PHEV, the Jeep Wrangler 4Xe. But Stellantis stated the Wrangler would need to morph into an electric vehicle to survive far beyond this decade. Jeep didn’t unleash any fully EV vehicles for the event, but they did provide a detailed release video that promised an array of Electric Jeep’s.

The video begins with the very first Jeep; the 1945 CJ then comes the love story. In 2021, viewers follow two Jeep lovers hit with love at first sight at a solar charging station in the wilderness. Fast-forward to 2025, and the boyfriend proposes in a beautiful lake with an even more beautiful electric Wrangler in the background.

Two variations of the Jeep were presented during the video, the four-door and two-door Wrangler. When the two-door model receives some solo shine, viewers can see the words “Freedom” inscribed on the side of the hood. In addition, the text “Concept BEV model shown” is also captured at the bottom of the screen, which coincides with Jeep’s new slogan “Zero Emission Freedom,” which implies the vehicle has an electric powertrain.

There is a lot to take away from the 2025 scene. To begin, the future Wrangler will be equipped with biometric recognition. The lovely couple walks towards the vehicle, and it recognizes the boyfriend’s face, unlocks, and the Wrangler starts up. Peer-to-peer charging is also demonstrated when the girlfriend plugs the two-door into the four-door. The 2025 segment ends with the couple’s drone flying above, providing extra light on the nighttime off-road travel—another monumental scene to promote the future of Wrangler’s drone pairing capabilities.

After 2025 comes 2030, where the couple camps with the accompanying four-door model. While the couple is hiking, the four-door Wrangler is seen piloting through the off-road trails, to the amazement of a fellow Jeep owner driving in the opposite direction. This scene suggests the Wrangler will be proficient in autonomous off-roading by 2030. The final clip is the EV Jeep promoting flat-seat stargazing with the couple engulfed in each other watching the sky while the Jeep drives them to their destination.

“Future models and features may vary,” this is what Jeep annotates at the bottom of the screen to inform viewers that futuristic technology is not promised. Nevertheless, the video provides some insight into what could potentially be next for the Wrangler EV and gives viewers a taste of what off-roading may look like for the future.
