Someone call DJ Khaled and let him know that Jeep owns the rights to Another One! The exquisitely designed 2022 Grand Wagoneer is named the Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year by AutoGuide.com. The Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year is one of many in a library full of accolades for the legend who sustains unbeatable 4×4 capabilities.

“Our judges gave the Grand Wagoneer high marks across the board, more consistently than any other finalist. The Grand Wagoneer is all-American luxury writ large, with acres of smooth Palermo leather covering nearly every surface. Those that aren’t are either tasteful chrome or gorgeous open-pore wood. If your tastes lean more techy, Jeep® will fit up to seven high-definition screens inside the Grand Wagoneer. A 23-speaker McIntosh sound system offers up studio-level audio quality. Uconnect 5 remains one of the best touchscreen interfaces on the market, crisp and clean and brimming with customization options. The reborn GW isn’t just about creature comforts, either. An available night vision display keeps you and yours safe on pitch-black back roads.

-Managing Editor for AutoGuide.Com, Mike Schlee

The Grand Wagoneer’s return provides a more romantic side to Jeep’s more rugged appeal. The luxurious interior is just one of many factors that attract Jeep enthusiasts to the Grand Wagoneer. For instance, under the hood rumbles a 6.4-liter V8 generating 470 horsepower. The engine’s paired with the Quadra-Drive II 4WD system and the Quadra-Lift air suspension.

There are three available 4×4 systems to create some luxurious off-roading. The 4×4 systems instill legendary capability. Its body-on-frame structure facilitates the class’s best towing capabilities with up to 10,000 lbs.

The Grand Wagoneer is the catalyst of premium SUVs. The premium Jeep SUV is a home away from home, a modern American appeal intertwined with intricately crafted finishes and innovative technology.

“The Grand Wagoneer is such a pleasant space to spend time. It’s all too easy to imagine driving across the continent in it, with only the hushed woofle of the V-8 up ahead. Erase all doubts: Jeep can build a true large luxury SUV to take on the world’s very best.”

 -Editor for AutoGuide.Com, Kyle Patrick

“Expert validations, such as this Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year award from AutoGuide.com, are further proof of Grand Wagoneer’s world-class character. Since its rebirth one year ago, Wagoneer has attracted new customers, thanks to its suite of unmatched refinements, technology, comfort and safety executed at the highest levels.”

Can someone ring up DJ Khaled because Jeep just won “Another one!” Once again, the Jeep brand receives accolades for its legendary 4×4 SUVs. Newsweek acknowledged the 80-year vet (Jeep) as the Best SUV lineup at the publication’s 2021 Auto Awards.

The all-new 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L took home the Best Family SUV award. The Grand Cherokee L provides an array of extraordinary features and attributes sure to entice the entire family.

Newsweek praised the SUV for its spacious third row, exceptional infotainment system, groundbreaking technologies, and rare passenger comfort, proving the Grand Cherokee L a clear winner above the rest.

“The Jeep Grand Cherokee L does more than expand the Grand Cherokee family. It elevates the three-row SUV experience, making it possible to transport family members in comfort and style thanks to an outstanding list of standard and available features paired with classic Jeep 4×4 capability.” – Eileen Falkenberg-Hull, Senior Editor of Autos for Newsweek.

The 2021 Jeep Grand Cherokee L persists with the legacy of the most awarded SUV ever. For the first time, the new Grand Cherokee L hosts up to seven passengers. In addition, the newly introduced L variant carries three rows of cozy passenger seating for the entire family and even the extended family. Not only is the Grand Cherokee L spacious but equipped with a rear-seat monitoring camera, so when the kids are feeling frisky, the rear-seat monitoring camera serves as eyes in the back of the driver’s head.

Many SUVs fall short of ample comfort, especially with third-row seating, but the Cherokee L is far from the other disappointments.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee L holds premium craftsmanship from the front bumper to the back bumper. In addition, the SUV features over 110 advanced safety and security features.

The flagship of the Jeep brand is the iconic 2022 Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, the catalyst of premium SUV interiors. The interior of the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer support the lifestyle of an active family.

In addition, both Wagoneer models feature best-in-class for overall passenger volume, total volume, third-row headroom, and second and third-row legroom.

“The Wagoneer brand is back, bringing with it a new way to experience full-size three-row SUVs. The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer punch above their price tag weight, delivering the types of features, capability and design that families are seeking. On top of that, both models are incredibly easy to drive.” -Falkenberg-Hull.

The Wagoneer delivers the best towing capabilities in its class with up to 10,000 lbs. The towing capacity assures that any big-boy toy trails behind with little to no effort. In addition, the Grand Wagoneer raises the bar on luxury from its genuinely handcrafted Satin American  Walnut Wood trim, Palermo leather-trimmed seating, leather-wrapped instrument panel, consoles, and door panels fitted with accent stitching.

All three Jeep SUVs come equipped with the critically acclaimed U-Connect 5 infotainment system, in-car technology, and a customization experience like never before.

Jeep Chose McIntosh’s Audio System Here’s Why

Audiophiles are obsessed with McIntosh audio systems, and it’s easy to understand why. But, unfortunately, the McIntosh name isn’t a household name. But first, understand that McIntosh keeps the home audio segment on lock. The New York-based company set out its journey to quality audio in 1949. Then, in the mid-’90s, McIntosh waltzed into the car audio arena, but unfortunately, it took two to tango.

Automotive Transition

Initially, McIntosh introduced the MX406 Audio Center Control. The Audio Control Center included AM/FM Tuner and a CD Player. In addition, the single-DIN unit incorporated speakers with the trademark McIntosh blue meters.

The millennium strikes and McIntosh premiered the 200-watt McIntosh Audiophile Sound System for the third-generation Subaru Legacy and a Harley Davidson motorcycles system. By 2005-2006 the Ford GT received a customized audio system from McIntosh, but the relationship wasn’t lasting, and McIntosh retreated from the automotive audio industry.

The Lessons of ‘Failure’

McIntosh set out a goal, arousing interest in the home audio arena. So they bought a Jeep Grand Cherokee and installed a reference audio system. Next, McIntosh took the Jeep to Detroit and demonstrated the home system to the Stellantis dream team: Executive automobile designer Ralph Gilles and Former CEO of Fiat Sergio Marchionne were captivated by the audio system. Both knew the McIntosh to be the perfect fit for the new Grand Cherokee L and the re-energized Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer

McIntosh MX1375

Available solely on the Jeep Grand Wagoneer, the entertainment system appears standard on the Obsidian and Series III models and optional on the Series II models. With 1,375 watts over 24 channels to 23 speakers stationary to 16 locations in the cabin. There are also 6×9-inch woofers in each door, four 2-inch ceiling mount speakers, and a 12-inch dual-coil subwoofer in the cargo.

McIntosh MX950

The audio system comes standard in the Grand Wagoneer, premium trims of the Grand Cherokee L, and optional in the Wagoneer Series III. The entertainment system consists of  950 watts over 17 channels through 19 speakers in 12 different locations throughout the vehicle. The speakers in both setups illuminate with the McIntosh logo, the volume and tuning knobs with ribbed edging similar to the home systems.

The Sound of Music

Attention to detail was the mantra. Jeep and McIntosh enriched the vehicles with quality sound and a vigorous bass in every trim level, starting with the trim fasteners and isolators on the interior panels. Jeep engineers also created a “low noise floor,” acoustically laminated glass, active noise cancellation, with sound restraining pads enclosed in the doors. The low noise floor stipulates a vehicle that sounds consistently impeccable, whether 80 mph or at a complete standstill.

Jeep Isn’t Tapping Out With the All-New Wagoneer

Tuesday, August 24th, 2021

Miami Lakes AutoMall Jeep Grand Wagoneer

The all-new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer transition into a luxury market. Jeep progresses with the intention of a potential sub-brand for premium SUV buyers.

Just as Nike owns Jordan (the shoe that is), Stellantis looks to unleash additional features that will subsequently lead to the new brand-within-a-brand. Of course, nothing is officially set in stone, but the next phase of the Wagoneer will take some time. As eager as consumers may be, even the caterpillar took time to be a butterfly. Likewise, the Wagoneer needs time to grow before adding volume.

Premium Future

Tall side windows and upright pillars are just one of many amenities envisioned in premium variations of the SUV. Leather and wood greet consumers with the beautiful integration of the McIntosh audiophile sound system and Amazon’s streaming Fire TV technology. Amazon Technology is the first video screen providing the front seat passenger to browse the market.

Premium Horsepower

The Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer are equipped with Jeep’s most powerful engines ever. But the automotive world is gearing toward an electric future, and Stellanis is no different.

Future Jeep’s will see electric technology, and it doesn’t matter if the vehicles are conventional plug-ins, plug-in hybrids, or fully electric. Jeep intends for 70% of its models to be electrified by 2025.

With the SUV’s fuel economy numbers for the city being a young teen, the Wagoneer should see a plug-in drive system.

The Wagoneer will also transition platforms to the new Stellantis STLA frame. The skateboard style frame will face customization, which is needed to endure Jeep’s infamous off-road capabilities. The customization won’t be an easy task for the skilled automaker as Jeep will look to incorporate the SUV’s premium features when creating the Wagoneer sub-brand.

Premium Market

A subbrand was always within the foreseeable future for Jeep, similar to Jaguar Land Rover with its Range Rover. Finally, JJeep is reaching out to the consumer that isn’t afraid to above six figures. A Jeep sub-brand seems natural, but an iconic brand with such a heavyweight name, Jeep must be cautious not to let it dissipate.

The difficulty Jeep faces moving forward is carrying the legacy of the traditional Jeep badge. It won’t be too hard for the Wagoneer and the Grand Wagoneer since the vehicles are the most extensive and most expensive by far.

Other Jeep vehicles have spiked in price as the all-new top-of-the-line 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee L Summit Reserve midsize SUV debuted around $65,000.

Premium Rolls

Successful sub-brands exist, like the Land Rover Range Rover and the Mercedes-Benz with Maybach, AMG, and future all-electric EQS family. Unfortunately, many have failed to generate a successful sub-brand, such as Chevrolet’s Geo and Toyota with Scion in 2016. Jeep is heeding the precautions and making sure it doubles down on grand success with this premium SUV.

There’s Nothing Small About the 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer

Tuesday, August 24th, 2021

Jeep alleges as far as driving; it has the smallest big car amongst the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer. But the smallest should be removed anytime anyone refers to the Wagoneer or Grand Wagoneer. The premium SUV stretches 214.7-inches long. The SUVs are constructed on a full-size pickup frame, and it includes a V-8 powertrain that makes for a powerful box.

No vehicle this grand is ever as simple. The big Jeep is built on the same frame as the Ram 1500, but the Wagoneer gains privilege from placement, the independent rear suspension employs a large amount of aluminum. The Wagoneer’s also implement a few chassis tweaks, which work to improve its on-road capabilities.

The Wagoneer is not a lightweight truck. With a composite liftgate, aluminum hood, fenders, and doors, the driver is lugging around 6200 pounds of beauty. Additional features on the Grand Wagoneer will move the weight of the SUV upward of 6450 pounds, which makes for nothing small on the voluptuous beauty.

Around town, the Wagoneer climbs some structural bumps, especially on twisting roads. Letting the Wagoneer settle in a specific position is recommended before transitioning in the opposite direction. The Wagoneer demands a lot of attention. But if life is a highway, the Wagoneer is the perfect vehicle to ride it all night long, simply smooth sailing.

The Wagoneer provides some reminiscing with the two-spoke steering wheel, and it offers an opaque connection to the tires and a feel that is light as air. There are a combined seven trims for the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

The Wagoneer comes in three variations, all of which are powered by Chrysler’s Hemi 392-horsepower 5.7-liter V-8. The Wagoneer’s system is supported by Chrysler’s 48-volt eTorque hybrid system and the eight-speed automatic transmission. The preliminary throttle application powered by an electric assist provides 130 lb-ft of torque, providing a flawless start-stop system experience. An optional 3.92:1 axle ratio provides the Wagoneer mass to maneuver intelligently.

The Grand Wagoneer is equipped in four variations and a beautiful 6.4-liter V8. The Grand Wagoneer carries 471-horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque; that’s 14 horses and 20 lb-ft less than the infamous Scat Pack Challenger. But, unfortunately, the Grand Wagoneer has no hybrid system. As a result, the Wagoneer jumps from 60-mph in less than 6 seconds. However, the Wagoneer with electric assist claims 60-mph in 7.3 seconds.

The fuel economy numbers carry a reading of 15 mpg within the city and 20 on the highway. That’s a combined total of 17 mpg combined. The Grand Wagoneer reads 13 mpg city, 18 mpg highway, and 15 mpg combined.

Standard with the Wagoneer, a load leveler setup for the rear suspension. Quadra-Lift air springs come standard on the Grand Wagoneer Series III. The springs lift the truck by 1.7 inches giving the SUV 10-inches of ground clearance and 24 inches of water traversing capabilities. But, of course, what goes up must come down, and the SUV lowers while driving 0.6 inches to enhance its aerodynamics. The SUV can also be reduced by an inch when parked for ingress and egress.

The Grand Wagoneer provides a captivating experience not just in comfort but an exceptional interior design. Wood flows through the dash and center console. Not interested in the American Walnut? Don’t worry, there’s also the aluminum trim. The seats are spacious, and every row is easily accessible. The start button is also leather-wrapped along with coat aluminum gear-selection knobs.

The box shape of the SUV it’s sure to leave guests and onlookers astounded. The SUVs’ headroom and legroom are so spacious. If anyone throws anything from the backseat, the optional camera for the front row will catch it all.

There are four screens located at the front of the Grand Wagoneer. There’s also a digital gauge cluster accompanying a 12.3-inch for the Grand Wagoneer and a 10.3-inch touchscreen for the Wagoneer. Below the touchscreen is a smaller screen for secondary controls for the heater and massage. The bottom screen can also flip to reveal a storage area with power outlets.

Jeep’s titan of a vehicle offers bountiful surprises that will continue to leave Wagoneer consumers surprised every time they push the leather start. Each trim provides a unique experience—Amazon Fire TV integration provided in the middle row screens and two quality McIntosh audio systems.

Referring to the SUV as a big small car is a step in the wrong direction, especially with the pricing structure. The Wagoneer Series II and III arrive within the next few weeks, and pricing begins at $72,995 and $77,995, not including destination fees. The Grand Wagoneer will start at $88,995, with the Series III starting at $105,995.

Sharing a Wealth of Knowledge on the Grand Wagoneer

What to Know Before You Know

The Jeep Wagoneer first launched in 1962, but its production came to an end by 1991, eclipsed by the rising popularity of minivans at the time. Without the creation of the Wagoneer, many luxury SUVs of today would not exist. SUVs like the Lincoln Navigator, Cadillac Escalade, and Porsche Cayenne would be mere blueprints. Just thinking of a Ferrari or Lamborghini SUV would’ve been a laughable matter in 1991.

Two decades later, many brands offer the top-tier luxury SUV of the moment. Jeep is ready for a comeback with the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Jeep Wagoneer for the 2022 model year. As technology continues to evolve, so does innovation. The Wagoneer is looking to appeal to a new consumer. Here are five things to anticipate with the new 2022 Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer.

  1. Let’s Talk Engine and Models

When 2022 rolls around, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will make their grand debut on the same platform as the Ram 1500 pickup, the Wagoneers will also incorporate a rear suspension for a tranquil ride for the people in the back. In addition, both vehicles will accommodate a V8 engine.

The Wagoneer will receive a 5.7-liter V8 with 392 horsepower. A 6.4-liter and 471 horsepower power the Grand Wagoneer. With the V8 engines, the powerful SUV catapults to 60 mph in only six seconds.

Where the two Wagoneers differentiate is on the inside. The Wagoneer’sWagoneer’s interior teeter-totters on luxury while the Grand Wagoneer pushes into opulent territory.

  1. The Inside that Counts

Emphasis on luxury here, but many customers were saddened to find no option to include the infamous faux wood trim from the previous Wagoner. Anticipation builds as Jeep may have a change of heart for the Wagoneer as the faux wood meshes into the interior of the Grand Wagoneer. The burnished walnut provides a look that integrates the seats to the door and heightens the look and feel of being inside a warm chestnut. Just open the doors, and seven interior screens will span the dashboard and the rear seats.

  1.  Wagoneer Destinations

Three variations of the 4×4 system are available, and they can traverse through 24 inches of water. The Jeep Quadra-Lift air suspension adds inches in height to the Grand Wagoneer’sWagoneer’s 8-inch ride height. The approach angle is 25 degrees, 24 departure, and 22 breakover.

The Wagoneer can’t receive a trail-rated badge because it’s too big. 214.7″ long by 83.6″ wide, the Wagoneer’sWagoneer’s tire print obscures the Yukon and the Navigator’sNavigator’s. In addition, the Wagoneer provides a towing capacity of 10,000-pounds. Who said heavy lifting couldn’t be luxurious.

  1.  Movie Theatre On Wheels

The Wagoneers will both feature the Amazon Fire TV for Auto. Passengers will be allowed to stream content from several interior screens. McIntosh provides quality, equipping the Wagoneer with 23 speakers and a 1375-watt amplifier controlled with Jeep’s Uconnect system. Once Wagoneer consumers find themselves at home, they can walk inside and continue exactly where they left off.

  1. Where’s the Jeep?

Look anywhere, and the Jeep logo won’t be there. Look at the steering column, doors, tailgate, even the grille; you won’t see Jeep anywhere. Jeep’s ambitious when it pertains to familiarity, with its picket-fence and grille as settle reminders. Jeep will begin with the production of both Wagoneer’s and work to expand into the Wagoneer sub-brand.

What the future holds for Wagoneers has not been confirmed. No official announcements were declared, but speculation builds on the potential of a larger model and a plug-in hybrid.

What We Know About the 2022 Jeep Grand Wagoneer

Thursday, December 31st, 2020

Jeep made waves a few years ago when the brand announced that it would be reviving its Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer nameplates in upcoming three-row SUV models. The original Wagoneer, something more akin to a station wagon than an SUV, ceased production in 1991 after 29 years on the market. According to the late-CEO Sergio Marchionne, the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will fill a gap in Jeep’s lineup that’ll directly compete with the likes of the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator. Here’s a little of what we know about the upcoming Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer models. (more…)

The Jeep Grand Wagoneer Debut is Only Days Away

Friday, August 28th, 2020

Jeep has spent the last few weeks teasing the hotly-anticipated Jeep Grand Wagoneer model. The brand brought its teasing to an end when it revealed a simple message across its social media channels: “Coming Sept. 3.” Now we know when Jeep plans to reveal the long-awaited three-row SUV behind the curtains. In recent videos posted on the brand’s Twitter feed, the brand referred to the upcoming SUV as “the shape of premium.” The video, of course, doesn’t reveal much, but viewers do get a glimpse of the Grand Wagoneer’s silhouette with a backlit skyline as the shot quickly pans out. The only thing the video reasserts is the fact that the Grand Wagoneer is likely to be a much beefier Grand Cherokee.  (more…)
