The wall charger units power any Jeep Wrangler 4xe, Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, and Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid models. Each charging unit is Energy Star certified plus smart-grid optimized. The charging units are a perfect balance of availability, efficiency, and feasibility for customers. The charging stations’ inexpensive cost ensures customers reduce energy costs through low-rate times. In addition to the low rate times, the Mopar chargers participate in energy credit programs where applicable.

The wall chargers are portable, lightweight, securable, and even waterproof for indoor and outdoor charging. In addition, every charging unit is universally compatible and backed through a three-year warranty. The suggested retail price for the time-saver is $599.

The Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe

The all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe is the first Grand Cherokee to deliver plug-in hybrid capability. The Grand Cherokee 4xe attains an all-electric estimated range of 25 miles. The Jeep Grand Cherokee hybrid returns an estimated 57 miles per gallon-equivalent (MPGe), with an estimated total range of over 440 miles. The Cherokee 4xe will arrive in the US very shortly, in the early months of 2022.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe

A monstrous SUV with the heart of a silent ninja, the new Jeep Wrangler 4xe renders 21 miles of relatively quiet, zero-emission. The Wrangler’s 4xe, electric-only propulsion holds an EPA rating of 49 MPGe so that the all-electric commuter can grace the roads without the fear of any range anxiety.

The Brazil Preview Heard Around the World for the 2022 Jeep Renegade

Jeep

Rare sightings, but the internet remains undefeated. Spies captured the 2022 Jeep Renegade prototype back in September (2021). Testing for the Renegade commenced some time last year, and speculation gathered that the vehicle would reach the US sometime this year (2022). Yet, in true undefeated behavior, the internet leaked a video of the 2022 Renegade. The leak forced Jeep Brazil to “officially” reveal the subcompact SUV through a series of photos.

For now, everything known about the Renegade is limited to its exterior and brief glimpses of the cabin. First, the subcompact Jeep receives a facelift, giving the SUV a narrower grille than its predecessor. In addition, turn signals and the daytime running lights (DRLs) reveal an integration into the headlights. The new integration left room for Jeep to alter the fascia on the lower section. Additionally, the fog lights receive a new rectangular shape placed higher than the previous model.

At the back of the Renegade is the LED taillight, but this time around there’s an alteration in the taillight graphics. The bumper also received a redesign featuring an enlarged faux skid plate and slimmer lights at the corner.

The Renegade’s cabin also revealed a humble redesign. Although the dashboard layout for the outgoing trim remains consistent, the SUV features an updated steering wheel from its older brother, the Jeep Compass. In addition to the new steering wheel, the Renegade gains a fully digital 7-inch instrument panel and an 8.4-inch infotainment screen.

There’s little information about what’s underneath the hood other than the fact that Brazil will eliminate the diesel-powered option for the 2022 model. Additionally, the 1.3-liter Turboflex T270 engine will premiere in the crossover. The Turboflex engine generates 185 horsepower with ethanol. The Renegade’s standard powertrain is front-wheel-drive paired with a six-speed manual gearbox.

The 2022 Jeep Renegade will premiere in the South American market by January or February of this year (2022). The US debut will happen sometime this year, but no one knows the official date for now.

The Four Wheeler SUV of the Year Goes to the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392

The Wrangler Rubicon 392 with its V8 engine is the pinnacle of premium off-road SUVs. Other automakers try, but they can’t compare no matter their efforts. So, when others thought Jeep peaked, the automaker broke out the factory option.

The 2022 Wrangler Rubicon 392 encompasses the best of the best when it comes to the V8 engine. The 6.4-liter HEMI V8 is the largest engine in the catalog, and the Wrangler’s fenders create a beast of a Rubicon. Once the V8 pairs with the iconic off-road hardware of Jeep’s Rubicon package and the Xtreme Recon package, it’s difficult to deny the 392 is the king of the off-road jungle and the 2022 Four Wheeler SUV of the Year.

Ramp Travel Index RTI and Track Data

Under the hood of the Rubicon 392 lies a hell-raising 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. The engine yields 470 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, which garners the title of the most potent Jeep produced thus far. The V8’s support system is the TorqueFlite 8HP75 eight-speed automatic transmission and the MP3022 Selec-Trac transfer case. The full-time transfer case is phenomenal for traction.

The 5,200-pound Jeep skyrockets from 0-60 mph on the track in less than 5 seconds. The Wrangler Rubicon jolts through 1,320 feet in less than 14 seconds, dashing across the finish line at 101.3 mph, which makes the SUV the quickest and fastest SUV MotorTrend has ever tested.

Similar to the Wrangler Rubicon, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, the 392 dominated the RTI ramp. With the front anti-roll bar engaged, both Wranglers climbed to 63 inches. When the 392 disconnected the electronic front anti-roll bar, it made an additional 18 inches (81 inches) up the ramp.

Time to hit the Off-Roads

There’s a notable contrast between the Rubicon 392 and the typical Wrangler Rubicon, and that’s gearing. The 392 harbors so much power that Jeep offers a 2.72:1 low range gear instead of the standard 4.0:1. The axle gears also see an alteration of 3.73:1 instead of the 4.10:1.

The 35-inch tires are a circulation of force with locking differential at both ends, a disconnecting anti-roll bar, rock slides, and skid plates, an unstoppable force on the off-road. As a result, the Jeep easily persevered through the steep, rutted hill climbs and rocky trails.

Although the Wrangler Rubicon is an award-winning SUV, the addition of the Xtreme Recon package and the 6.4-liter V8 engine proves that Jeep engineered the perfect off-road king. At the heart of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 392 is a vehicle eager to dominate, holding three of five spots in the judged categories.  It’s an honor to declare the Wrangler Rubicon 392 MotorTrend’s 2022 Four Wheeler SUV of the Year.

The Best Features of the Jeep Wrangler 4xe

Jeep

Jeep continues to embark on the path less traveled. A road that other automakers explicitly divert from. ‘Go Anywhere, Do Anything’ is so much more than a motto; it is Jeep’s vigorous effort to bridge the gap between practicality and electric efficiency.

The 2022 Wrangler embraces a new powertrain known as the 4xe (4-by-e). The Wrangler 4xe is everything the Wrangler stands for with increased power, economy, and borrowed eco credentials from the Toyota Prius.

Once the Wrangler 4xe launched, Jeep unveiled a new electrifying plan for its lineup. As a result, vehicles like the Renegade, Cherokee, and Compass will boast a new powertrain by 2025. But, until that time, there’s nothing wrong with breeding a little familiarity with the Wrangler 4xe; after all, it is the most rugged approach to a rechargeable adventure.

Capability and Economy

The Wrangler 4xe is a nice-sized compact SUV, tottering between small and medium with a weight that leaves anyone saying, “is it really that heavy!?” The Wrangler carries 4000-4200 lbs of curb weight for the 2-liter gas engine. But the Rubicon V8 isn’t shy about its size, with a weight of 5100 lbs. The 4xe isn’t too far behind the V8 in poundage as the 2.0-liter turbocharged 270 horsepower engine with 295 lb-ft of torque adds 800 lbs because of the hybrid gear.

An 8-speed automatic and power invigorate all four wheels while vented discs enforce the brakes. Combining electric power with the internal combustion engine yields 375 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque, which is exceptional since the Rubicon 392 holds a 6.4-liter engine that generates 470 hp and 470 lb-ft of torque.

Customized Luxury

Aside from the powertrain, there are a ridiculous amount of trims and options to sift through. For example, the Wrangler 4xe is available as a Sahara, Rubicon, even High-Altitude. The base model (Sahara) features 20-inch wheels, an 8.4-inch display, and leather seats, to name a few. Customizing the Wrangler’s isn’t impossible because there is a superabundance of add-ons, such as the American flag sticker for the hood. The High Altitude model features blind spot cross path detection, remote keyless entry, dark interior accents, a rear-window wiper, and a 3-piece hardtop just for upgrading.

The Jeep Wrangler 4xe is a tremendous step forward for users reluctant of zero emissions.
