Jeep is known for SUVs, heritage and customization and in 2016, there are a variety of special-edition trims based on those characteristics. While the Jeep Wrangler Freedom Edition and the Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice trims are special-edition trims that are exclusive to the model, this year’s special-edition 75th Anniversary Edition is available across the entire lineup. Here’s a look at three of the special or limited-edition Jeeps available in 2016.
This year Jeep celebrated its 75th anniversary and to celebrate Jeep created 75th Anniversary Edition trims across all seven models. The features vary from model to model, but there are some options that are the same on each of the special anniversary trims.
To pay tribute to Jeep’s roots as an military army green vehicle, all 75th Anniversary models will be available in an exclusive green hue that varies by model. All models will have Low Gloss Bronze wheels, Bronze and Orange exterior accents, unique interiors, including exclusive seats with embossed 75th Anniversary logo or one-of-a-kind Ombre Mesh fabric, and a 75th Anniversary exterior badge.
Another limited-edition model available in 2016 is the Freedom Edition, which has been available on the Wrangler lineup for a couple years. The Freedom Edition is available on the two-door Wrangler or the four-door Wrangler Unlimited and comes with a a Sunrider soft top.
Other unique features include sparkle silver-painted 17-inch alloy wheels, Mineral Gray-painted grille and front and rear bumper inserts, a prominent “Oscar Mike” star-in-circle fender badges and decals, rock rails with matching black tail lamp guards and a Mopar fuel fill door. The interior is fitted with black seats with rugged tectonic fabric, and “Oscar Mike” logos as well.
The vehicle comes with a couple upgraded technology groups such as the connectivity group and the power and convenience group. The connectivity group comes with a UConnect system, tire pressure monitor, and a vehicle information system. The convenience group focuses on safety features like power locks, heated exterior mirrors, remote keyless entry, an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a security alarm.
Inspired by this year’s superhero movie, Batman v. Superman Dawn of Justice, is the Jeep Renegade Dawn of Justice Edition. This trim is a real-life replica of vehicle driven by Bruce Wayne in the movie. If that isn’t already cool enough, the interior and exterior features and unique logos make this Renegade trim stand out from the others.
Buyers of this special trim have the option of black paint (like the one in the movie) or a dark-gray color. Other exterior features include unique Dawn of Justice logos, black gloss wheels, and a black top with black roof rails. Interior features include metal diamond trim throughout the interior, dark black cloth seats with the 7-slot Jeep grille logo embroidered the headrests and an available Beats audio system.
