Taking a Look at the Ram Special Editions



Ram already offers a variety of different trucks with different capabilities, as the 1500, 2500 and 3500 each provide their own specific features and capabilities. Of course, if you want to pay a bit extra to help spruce up your new pickup, you could opt for one of the brand's special edition trucks. There are several to choose from, with the majority of the options revamping the exterior style of your Ram.

We've taken a look at each of Ram's Special Edition pickups, and we've highlighted the main attributes of each below. Make sure you take a look at the guide before heading out to a Dodge Ram dealer.That way, you won't accidently overlook any of these exclusive models...


Black Ram 1500 Express



While trucks are certainly useful for hauling cargo, they're also known for delivering excellent power specs. When you're driving the Ram 1500 Express, you'll feel practically invincible, and there's no doubt that fellow drivers will be intimidated by the tall and muscular body. Want to add even more flash to your Ram pickup?

Considering opting for the Black Ram package, which will cover your entire exterior in black. This includes semi-gloss black aluminum 20-inch wheels, a black grille (with black hex-link), a black full front fascia (with fog lamps), a black painted ram's head on the badge, and a black rear bumper.

Of course, you can still expect excellent specs from the 1500 Express. With the available 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine, drivers can expect 395 horsepower and 410 pounds-feet of torque. These specs contribute to the 10,650-pound towing capacity. The unit can also deliver a solid 15 city/22 highway mile per gallon fuel efficiency.

Alternatively, you could go with the Black Sport Group package, which costs an extra $1,595. Besides the previously mentioned attributes, the truck also includes nine amplified speakers (with an accompanying subwoofer), halogen projector headlights, 275/60R20 BSW all-season tires, a sport performance hood, and a dual-zone automatic temperature control system. This package is also available for the Ram 2500 and the 3500.

Ram 1500 Outdoorsman Mossy Oak Package



With fishing and hunting season right around the corner, you're going to want a pickup trick that helps complement your adventurous side. That's why the Outdoorsman Mossy Oak Package may be the perfect option for you.

The vehicle provides plenty of places to store all of your tools and gear. Besides the truck bed, owners can utilize the under-floor storage system, which gives you some extra bit of space to perhaps hide some of your more valuable cargo. Furthermore, the bed's Rambox Cargo Management System provides a lockable area for you to store any of your equipment. You could even use the area to store food or drinks!

The package includes 17-inch wheels and LT tires, which pair perfectly with the impressive ecodiesel engine. The 3.0-liter V6 unit helps contribute to the 1,650-pound payload and the 10,160-pound towing capacity. Plus, you'll be able to enjoy all of your vehicle's amenities due to the impressive 27 highway mile per gallon fuel efficiency. 

The inside of the vehicle also offers a number of features. The remote starter will help heat up your truck on those rainy days at the lake, and the heated steering wheel will help prevent your hands from freezing. Once you've gotten warm, you can enjoy the UConnect system via the 8.4-inch touchscreen. The technology allows the driver to access a number of applications, including a revamped and improved Navigation system.

The package will actually play a role in raising awareness for the Farmers and Hunters Feeding the Hungry mission, which asks hunters to donate some of their food to help feed people in their community. The Mossy Oak package will help further promote the message.

Laramie Sport Appearance Group



This package is available for both the 2500 and 3500, with both coming in at $1,495. The gray/metallic special edition pickup comes with body-colored door handles, grille (with black insert), and bumpers. The 20-inch black paint aluminum wheels are included, as are a pair of LT295/60R20E OWL On-/Off-Road Tires. 

That's not it for inclusions, as the package also adds on black bifunctional projector headlamps, premium LED taillamps, foldaway exterior mirrors, and engine badge.
