2018 Ram ProMaster City
Like the Ram ProMaster, the Ram ProMaster City is designed for getting work done and making the best use of one of Ram’s more commercial vehicles - vans. The ProMaster City is like a more compact version of the ProMaster cargo van, with the ability to act as a small business or a passenger vehicle.

There’s a single powertrain that powers the four trims of the 2018 Ram ProMaster City, a 2.4-liter Tigershark MultiAir I4 engine. Two models make up the four trims, the Tradesman and Wagon, known as the Tradesman, Tradesman SLT, Wagon, and Wagon SLT. Features between each model type per trim are similar if not the same, and all trims are equipped with front-wheel-drive.
For those who noticed, “MultiAir” is actually a hydraulically powered variable valve timing (VVT) system. This is a system that controls the frequency of the intake of gas and air and the exhaust of the resulting fumes via an engine’s cylinders, altering it for optimal performance. Paired to a nine-speed automatic transmission standard, 2.4-liter Tigershark engine can generate a total of 178 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque and enhanced fuel efficiency.
The Tradesman and Wagon models looks like most wagons would when it comes to the Ram ProMaster City. Sliding drivers and passengers side-door and rear doors without glass, a 180-degree opening rear hinged door, remote keyless entry, and security panels for the sliding doors and rear doors all come standard. Consumers can opt-in for doors with vented glass if they desire, as well as an upgrade for deep tint sunscreen glass and power heated exterior mirrors on select trims.
If looking for additional cargo space, the Ram ProMaster City can come with adjustable roof rack crossbars, roof rack side rails, or a three bar utility roof rack. All trims ride on 16-inch wheels, constructed from aluminium or steel depending on the options selected. Color choices for the exterior include Blue Nite Metallic, Deep Red, Black metallic, Bright White, Silver Metallic, Earth Brown, and Quartz Grey Metallic.
For 2018, the Ram ProMaster City offers various options for cargo and seating capacity. The Ram ProMaster City cargo van has seating for two people and a large maximum cargo capacity of 131.7 cubic feet, and the Ram ProMaster City wagon van has seating for five passengers and a maximum cargo capacity of 101.7 cubic feet. Both share many of the same standard features, such as a 60/40 fold and tumble rear seat, cloth upholstery, a cargo compartment, and a rearview day/night mirror.
Select trims have the option to upgrade the interior with front all-weather floor mats, a GPS antenna input for navigation, LED cargo area lighting, and two cargo packages to make storage and organization easier. The two ProMaster City SLT trims are available with a leather-wrapped steering wheel. More glory lies within Ram upfits.
The standard entertainment setup in both trims is a 4-speaker system with a 5-inch touchscreen display and integrated voice command with Bluetooth. The ProMaster City SLT can upgrade to a 6-speaker system. Both trims come with Uconnect 3 but can upgrade to Uconnect 3 with navigation. Steering wheel mounted audio controls are standard on the ProMaster City SLT trim and optional on the base trim.
