2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk
Jeep has made a lot of new changes to their lineup for the 2018 model year, and one of the most dramatic changes was the addition of the 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk. The new Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the most powerful and fastest two-row SUV on the market. In addition to power and speed, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk also has high-end amenities and a signature style.
Max. Towing Capacity
The key to the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk’s record-breaking performance capabilities is its engine. The 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is the only Jeep model available with a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 engine. The engine is paired to a TorqueFlite eight-speed automatic transmission, and together the powertrain produces 707 horsepower and 645 lb-ft of torque, an amount of power that is not matched by any other SUV.
As a vehicle that’s built to dominate the track, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is equipped with the Jeep Quadra-Trac on-demand four-wheel-drive system. The advanced drivetrain provides the Jeep with excellent handling qualities as well as Standard Launch Control and a Torque Reserve system, which both contribute to the vehicle’s excellent acceleration abilities and performance on the track.
Thanks to the engine and advanced drivetrain system, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk flies. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.5 seconds, completes a quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds and has a top speed of 180 mph. To make things even better, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk also has excellent towing capabilities. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has a maximum towing capacity of up to 7,200 pounds.
There are several Jeep Grand Cherokee trims that are considered luxury vehicles, and the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk might just be the most luxury of all. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk features a spacious five-person cabin fitted with Nappa leather and suede seats. The front seats are heated and ventilated and the second-row seats are heated. Mimicking the design of most performance vehicles, various vehicle controls and vehicle data are easily accessible by the driver. Other interior features include Berber floor mats, a full-length floor console and Active Noise Cancellation.
The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk is equipped with an 8.4-inch touchscreen and Uconnect 4C with GPS navigation. To keep drivers connected and focused on the road, Uconnect 4C has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, so drivers can sync their phone up to the vehicle’s infotainment system and use Bluetooth voice command to do a variety of available tasks, including making phone calls and sending text messages. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk comes standard with a premium nine-speaker system, but buyers can upgrade to a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system if they wish. Another available entertainment option includes the addition of Blu Ray compatible dual screens for backseat passengers.
In addition to entertainment capabilities, the Uconnect system also includes Trackhawk Performance Pages. Trackhawk Performance Pages provide drivers with real-time horsepower and torque numbers as well as track times and insight to other engine data.
Jeep made several modifications to the exterior of the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk to help it achieve its maximum performance capabilities. The Grand Cherokee Trackhawk rides on 20x10-inch wheels and each wheel is equipped with high-performance Brembo brakes that give the vehicle the ability to go from 60-0 mph in just 114 feet. To help the vehicle’s intake and exhaust functions, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk has a redesigned front fascia and a quad-tip exhaust to maximize airflow.
