3.6L V6 Engine
The standard engine on the Chrysler 300 is the legendary 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine. Available on a number of other vehicles under the FCA umbrella, the 3.6L provides drivers with power as well as efficiency. The 300-horsepower 3.6-liter engine is paired to the TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission and together they produce 260 lb-ft of torque and best-in-class V6 highway fuel economy of 30 mpg.
5.7L HEMI V8 Engine
The other engine available on the Chrysler 300 lineup is the 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine. The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine offering best-in-class V-8 363 horsepower and 34 lb-ft of torque, and all of that power gives Chrysler 300 an excellent acceleration. The 5.7L HEMI V8 engine has the latest technology in the variable valve timing technology (VVT) that combines with the multi-displacement system to help save and provide greater gas mileage when driving at steady speeds whether on the highway or in the city. The 5.7L provides drivers with a highway fuel economy of 25 mpg.
