2016 Chrysler 300 Details and Specs
The 2016 Chrysler 300 went through a huge redesign, which has a long time coming. The 2016 Chrysler 300 kept the same general exterior look from past model years, but some of its exterior features were refreshed to make the 300’s exterior look a little more sophisticated sharp. The Chrysler 300 has the best average highway fuel economy among other full-size V6 engines. The Chrysler 300 is available in all-wheel drive and has tons of innovative features.
Trims and Engines
The are four different trim options for the 2016 Chrysler 300. The different trims include the 300 Limited, 300S, 300C, and the fully loaded 300C Platinum.
There are two different engine options available for the 2016 Chrysler 300. The available engines include the standard 300 horsepower, 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine and an available 363 horsepower 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine. Both the standard 3.6-liter V6 engine and the available 5.7-liter engines are coupled with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Chrysler 300 comes standard with rear-wheel drive, but buyers can upgrade to an all-wheel drive system if they prefer.
The exterior of the 2016 Chrysler 300 maintains the 300’s classic look, but has a couple features that give it a smoother, more refined look. Basic exterior features include: automatic headlights, automatic climate control, daytime running LED lights, exterior heated mirrors, and 17-inch alloy wheels.
All that was just the base model! Upgraded trims come with features including different wheels designs including 18’ and 20’ aluminum wheels depending on the trim, a panoramic sunroof, and a 19 speaker system for the Platinum model.
The Chrysler 300’s interior features an all-new design that incorporates more comfort and luxury features than past model years. Some of the standard interior features on the Chrysler 300 are leather upholstered seats, front two heated seats, keyless entry with push button start, and a ParkView rear back-up camera.
The base model features excellent entertainment technology features that include satellite radio, Bluetooth audio and phone connectivity with voice control, an 8.4” touchscreen interface, and Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity.
Special-Edition Chrysler 300 Anniversary Edition
2015 marked the 90th year that Chrysler automobiles had been made and for that anniversary, Chrysler made a special-edition 90th Anniversary Edition trim on all of the Chrysler vehicles including the 300.
The Chrysler 300 90th Anniversary Edition builds on the 300 Limited model's list of standard features, adding the innovative UConnect 8.4N with an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, 3-D GPS navigation, AM/FM/HD radio, SiriusXM Radio, Bluetooth, UConnect Access, plus SiriusXM Traffic and SiriusXM Travel Link. Additionally, the commemorative 90th Anniversary Edition appointments include a startup splash screen logo and premium floor mats with embroidered logo.
The National Highway Traffic and Safety Administration (NHTSA) gave the 2016 Chrysler 300 a four-star overall safety rating. A few of the vehicle’s standard safety features include daytime running lights, engine immobilizer, auto-delay off headlamps, dusk sensing headlamps, passenger airbag occupant sensing deactivation, traction control and stability control.
Prices and Warranties
The base model price begins at $32,015 and exceeds $45,000 for the Chrysler 300C Platinum all-wheel drive.
Warranties include a 3-year or 36,000-mile basic limited warranty, and a 5-year or 60,000-mile powertrain warranty. In addition, Chrysler offers unlimited roadside assistance for five years or up to 60,000 miles.
