The Dodge brand has grown in popularity and offered seemingly better and better muscle car options for customers. The truth is Dodge really has upped the ante for vehicles in terms of production and horsepower, among other qualities its customers embrace. Looking back at just the last half-decade we can see just how improved the Dodge muscle lineup has grown. When the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was introduced, it was a landmark effort. The first SRT Hellcat would offer 707 horsepower and hit a remarkable 11.2-second quarter-mile effort. Dodge would surpass this total with more recent efforts in the following years. Let’s take a look at where the Dodge brand has grown and exceeded previous efforts with unmatched gusto.

Looking Back At the 2015 Dodge Challenger

The first SRT Hellcat would offer 707 horsepower and hit a remarkable 11.2-second quarter-mile effort. Dodge would surpass this total with more recent efforts in the following years. Let’s take a look at where the Dodge brand has grown and exceeded previous efforts with unmatched gusto.

Former President and CEO of Dodge and SRT Brands, Tim Kuniskis, remarked when the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat debuted that Dodge was “reaching deep into our history and bringing back the notion from the muscle car ear of the street and strip dual-purpose cars”. This was just the first effort to embark on a path that includes new muscle cars for new customers to fall for the love of racing and the muscle Dodge provides. The goal for Dodge was to make a muscle car serve two purposes and this would further be realized when the following year Dodge offered the 2016 Challenger.

Dodge Improved Challenger In New Ways For 2016 and 2017

Dodge had redesigned the Challenger the year prior, but when the 2016 model year came out it offered the most muscle ever offered in a production vehicle. The supercharged 6.2-Liter HEMI SRT V8 engine offered 650 ft-lb of torque and hit a top speed of 199 mph. While this would see to be impressive, as the rival brand Chevrolet and its Camaro only hit 455 horsepower and the Challenger was over 700 horsepower, the 2017 model year was even better. The 2017 Dodge Challenger GT was the first all-wheel-drive muscle car and offered launch control to help ensure an easier start on drag strips. The following model year offered something we’re still talking about to this day.

The Most Impressive Dodge Challenger Models Yet

The 2018 model year for the Dodge brand offered the rare and exclusive 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon. This was the fastest production muscle car and it wasn’t topped by any vehicle since, with the exception of the new 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock. The 2018 Dodge Challenger offered the SRT Hellcat and the SRT Hellcat Widebody, but the star vehicle was the SRT Demon. With high-octane fuel, the output for the engine was 840 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque. The Dodge brand wound up creating cousins of the SRT Demon in the following years with muscle cars are just as exclusive as the SRT Demon. Look no further than the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

More Demon Parts For Customers To Enjoy

Dodge wound up earning lots of attention when parts of the SRT Demon found its way into both the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye and this year’s 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock. While the SRT Hellcat Redeye offered “only” 797 horsepower, the SRT Super Stock hit over 800 horsepower and became only the second Dodge vehicle to offer customers such unique strength and power. In fact, the SRT Super Stock is perhaps the most impressive Challenger ever made. So, what does Dodge have in store for buyers in the coming years? We can expect only remarkable results and some of the world’s finest engineering for the company responsible for putting muscle cars back on the map in the past decade. Want to know what its like behind the wheel of a vehicle like the Dodge Challenger

The 2021 Dodge Durango Is Far Superior to the 2021 Explorer

The new 2021 Dodge Durango has proven to be far superior than its closest competitor, the Ford Explorer ST. Customers sometimes need a reminder about how much better one brand can be over another. While Ford has enjoyed great success across its landscape of vehicles, we can see how much greater the Durango SRT was made. As an overview, when compared the 2021 Dodge Durango is not only faster, offers more horsepower and torque, but can also brake earlier than the Ford. The infotainment system setups are comparable and yet the Durango can also cost less. In the battle of the three-row SUVs, we can identify a clear winner.

Speed Is Key

The speed of 0 to 60 MPG is just 3.5 seconds with a top speed of 180 mph, whereas the Ford Explorer ST takes 5.6 seconds to hit 60 mph. If an owner opts for the V6 engine of the Durango, the Dodge product is 3 seconds faster in a quarter-mile than the Explorer ST. As we mentioned earlier, the 60-to-0 mph brake time is 110 feet for the Dodge SUV versus the 114 Ford Explorer ST. The Dodge Durango carries the available Brembo monoblock calipers that help brake the vehicle quickly and efficiently.

Pricing Comparisons Between the SUV

The Ford Explorer ST when topped out can cost as much as $65,000, while the 2021 Dodge Durango begins at $31,765 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The high-end 2021 Durango SRT Hellcat costs $82,490 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The superior choice between both vehicles, the SRT Hellcat has a nice supercharged 6.2-Liter HEMI® Hellcat V8 engine with its unrivaled 710 horsepower and 645 lb-ft. of torque. This will be for a lone year of production, so buyers will only have this once chance to secure their own. By comparison, the best engine offered with the Ford Explorer ST is the 3.0-Liter EcoBoost V6 engine that only provides just over half what the Durango SRT Hellcat provides. The ST engine hits 400 horsepower with 415 lb-ft of torque; not quite as impressive.

The Interior Differences

The 2021 Dodge Durango has a new look and interior. The luxurious leather and high-grade materials found in the Durango look sharp and are crafted better than the Ford SUV.  The style of the Durango is taken from the new Charger Widebody.  As far as the infotainment offered, the available 10.1-inch touchscreen is a wonderful centerpiece for owners and passengers alike to enjoy. Both vehicles carry this large 10.1-inch touchscreen, however for the Durango it is available on the GT, GT Plus, R/T, and Citadel trims. The Ford Explorer only offers the touchscreen for the two highest trims.

As far as interior cabin spacing goes, the 2021 Dodge Durango has a cabin that provides space for as many as 30 suitcases of space according to those who tested the spacing at MotorTrend. The Explorer only held as many as 25 suitcases inside. Now that we’ve painted a clear picture of these two vehicles, we know which vehicle our customers can hope to drive when they debut later in 2020. The 2021 Durango is set to be ready for shoppers starting next month in October. Can’t wait to drive one?

2021 Challenger Drag Pak To Offer Drivers 1,200 Horsepower

The Dodge brand has found a way to push the limits of the world’s fastest production muscle car. Formerly that illustrious title belonged to the 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, but today the newest Challenger will gain that recognition. Dodge has announced the 2021 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak is ready for customers to reach out to purchase this all-new trim. However, there is one thing to keep in mind, there is an extremely limited amount of these Challenger Drag Pak muscle cars being made.

The Exclusive Dodge Challenger Drag Pak

Buyers contemplating whether or not to try and own this absolute speed monster will not have a large amount of time to decide. The Dodge brand is set to produce just 50 of these new Drag Pak Challengers and orders began this week. The good news for those lucky enough to afford and purchase one is how much horsepower and strength that will be offered for this unique Dodge vehicle. We last saw the Challenger Drag Pak back in 2015 and it has been improved to surpass any Challenger that came before. A new special supercharged 5.8-Liter engine was added and it was chiefly created and manufactured for racing. The exact specs of this Dodge muscle car are anticipated to give owners a lot to love.

What Can Drivers Expect With the 2021 Drag Pak?

While we have questions about all the perks that have been added to this year’s Drag Pak, we know some things that are expected to be included. The correct figures of the powertrain have not been revealed just yet, but the previous Drag Pak made granted 1,200 horsepower and we can expect this one to offer the same or even more. The Drag Pak increases drag racing equipment that provides a driver to possess complete control of the Challenger with a manually-shiftable three-speed automatic transmission and solid rear axle. Like any vehicle that makes runs on a drag strip, the Drag Pak carries including a roll cage, wheelie bar, and even a parachute.

Inside the Challenger Drag Pak

The 2021 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak will include race tires that were produced for implementing lighting quick times. The new Drag Pak will surpass any and all previously made Dodge Challenger on the strip without much of a contest. For those who are looking to acquire this new piece of muscle car history, the exclusive path towards owning one comes from calling 800-998-1110. The number went live for calls on September 9th, 2020 with a likely short term opening for customers to gain this piece of Dodge muscle car history. Our bet is on the Drag Pak selling out well before October 2020. After all, just look at how impressive the Dodge brand has grown its sales this year alone.

More Dodge Challenger Options?

Since Dodge will only produce 50 of these 2021 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, we know very few customers will be able to obtain this muscle car. Dodge has listed a steep price point, but they have good reasoning. With all the amenities and wicked-fast speed granted, it’s no surprise by Dodge has the opening price set at $143,485 MSRP (Plus destination fee). Keep in mind, there is no way the Drag Pak will be turned into a production vehicle. Dodge is not going to create this vehicle again after the order is placed for the original fifty. This is similar to the limited production run of the beloved 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon

We’re confident customers will be swept up by the joy provided with the 2021 Dodge Challenger Drag Pak, but understanding how rare this vehicle is, we know many readers might be too late to buy one. And although the 2021 Dodge Challenger is coming out soon, we can extend our customers the courtesy of the 2020 Challenger lineup. The 2020 Dodge Challenger is fierce and waiting to be driven, come find them today at Miami Lakes Automall.

The new and improved 2021 Dodge Durango will be rolling out soon. While many are waiting to see its top-tier trim, the all-new SRT Hellcat with its 707-horsepower engine, we’re just as excited for all the changes that have gone on with the Durango. Dodge has made sure to provide customers with plenty of options including rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive for each trim. There are some new perks that are worth breaking down as we approach the fall of 2020 when the 2021 Durango is expected to debut for shoppers. For those looking to aim for a reasonably priced vehicle that offers all the thrills of Dodge engineering, but isn’t afraid of driving the fastest-three-row-SUV on the planet, side with the Durango this model year.

Durango SXT, GT, and R/T Trim Breakdown

The base trim is the SXT RWD $33,260 MSRP (Plus destination fee), SXT AWD $35,860 MSRP (Plus destination fee), GT RWD $37,460 MSRP (Plus destination fee), GT AWD $40,060 MSRP (Plus destination fee). For the R/T RWD $46,800 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and R/T AWD $49,400 MSRP (Plus destination fee). There is also the R/T AWD Tow and Go trim that starts at $54,395 MSRP (Plus destination fee). There is a new rear hatch spoiler added to the Durango that comes standard for owners.

Breaking Down the Changes To the Durango

The higher trims run a bit more expensive but come with more features like the redesigned, driver-focused cabin that adds an 8.4-inch or larger 10.1-inch touchscreen. The remaining trims include the Citadel, which comes in RWD for $49,300 MSRP or AWD for $51,900 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The former highest-trim, the SRT, is now known as the SRT 392 (like how Dodge has it for its muscle car lineup) that begins at $64,490 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and its standard all-wheel-drive. The high-end 2021 Dodge Durango is the all-new SRT Hellcat that supplies standard all-wheel-drive and starts at $82,490 MSRP.

Upgrades To Citadel and Higher Trims

Dodge has given a big boost to the Citadel trim that gains new leather seating and standard ventilation to the heating function, the larger 10.1-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 5, and TomTom navigation with new safety enhancements and driver assistance capabilities. An owner gains adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane driver assist and forward collision warning with active braking. Dodge also has brought a new option to the fold for customers, a Trailer-Tow Group IV option for $1,195 MSRP. The integrated trailer brake switch also comes with a heavy-duty engine oil cooler, integrated brake controller, plus the Class IV hitch receiver and rear-load leveling shocks. or more information on the all-new 2021 Durango SRT Hellcat, we’ve got a lot to share.
