Dodge’s heritage is one of those things that will always make Dodge vehicles like the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger unmistakable from the other muscle cars in the market. With 2018 heading into the summer, that means vehicles for the 2019 model year will start to make their appearances. With that comes the teasing and debuts of many concepts and changes for some of our favorites. Most recently is the tease Dodge gave us about the new 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.
From what one can see in the image below, the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat will be getting a new retro dual-snorkel hood scoop inspired by classic Mopar designs to pay tribute to its heritage way back when the Dodge Challenger first began. The first Dodge Challenger made its introduction in 1970. It was the first-generation Dodge Challenger that also introduced the Dodge Challenger Trans Am, or T/A for short, along with the R/T (Road/Track) trim. Both of these vehicles were made for racing on the strip or driving in the streets – sound familiar?
