“24 Months of Muscle” Rollout Started

Wednesday, January 26th, 2022
Night Dodge Miami Lakes Automall

For large brands, they know when they are moving past the competition; Dodge is one of those brands. Dodge remains a leader in the driver’s seat within the muscle car segment in 2022. The plans remain to keep this going as the two-year business plan deemed to drive more customers over from other companies has started. This rollout is now known as the 24 Months of Muscle countdown, signifying the last two years before the first official electric muscle car created by the Dodge brand is offered.

“The Dodge brothers were scrappy go-getters. Never content to follow the trends, they were the seekers of a better, faster, more outrageous way of doing things. And we’re looking to hire someone just like them as an ambassador of Never Lift,” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge.

Dodge Gearing Up For Big Changes

Dodge desires to create new owners by delivering a new two-year business plan that is dubbed “Never Lift”. The 2022 Dodge line-up will gain an encouraging promotion that will help educate customers about the coming changes for the brand. The Dodge muscle car lineup contains plenty of edge on the rival brands, as sales showed last year. The 2022 Dodge Charger and 2022 Dodge Challenger are gaining more attention as the various perks are evident with its stock 292-horsepower engine for the base trims as owners can acquire as much as over 800 horsepower for the high-end SRT Hellcat Redeye trim. There are several choices between the various trims and packages that contain unique body color options. The marketing plan underway is going to be stretched out over two years. Dodge has been picking a fight with the Ford Mustang, noting the 5.0-Liter Coyote V8 engine that doesn’t surpass the 6.2-Liter V8 HEMI engine inside of the Charger and Challenger muscle cars.

Glancing At the Successive Actions For Dodge

Dodge understands they are ahead of the competition, serving as the leader in the driver’s seat within the muscle car segment. The next two-year business plan to drive more customers from other brands has created, known as the 24 Months of Muscle countdown, indicating the last two years before the first official electric muscle car made by the Dodge brand. We know the massive investment the parent company of Dodge, Stellantis, has placed into making the new generation of EVs come this decade. For fanatics of the Dodge Durango though, don’t think Dodge is shifting away from the Dodge Durango SUV just because the SRT Hellcat is not extended a trim for the new 2022 Dodge Durango

The brand will continue to survey how customers feel concerning the changes, but they know their developments best and strive to educate shoppers about their approach going onward. The next two years, known as the 24 Months of Muscle for the Dodge brand, will allow for more expansion in getting individuals to notice the plans and achievements.

Dodge Leaps and Bounds Ahead of Chevy and Ford

Thursday, January 6th, 2022
2021 Dodge Kendall Dodge

The Dodge Challenger was the leading muscle car of 2021, ending up ahead of the Ford Mustang for the first time since 2015. The Dodge muscle ride sold 54,314 vehicles, a 3% growth over its 2020 tally. The Ford Mustang sold 52,414 muscle vehicles and it slowed down 14% from 2020. The changing of the guard has been coming for a long time and the Dodge brand is happy to know it’s sold more than the Chevrolet Camaro as well, a vehicle that only sold 21,893 vehicles in 2021. We can’t even imagine how much higher the sales will be after the Dodge EV lineup comes out.

From the Top Selling to the Most Unique Sales of 2021

At the beginning of every year we look back at some of the sales totals from the previous year. There were quite a bit of tempting choices that were sold as new vehicles from Stellantis in 2021. Among the options were four new Dodge Viper vehicles, as many as 10 Dodge Darts and even more vehicles that have been concluded. The Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler 200, and Jeep Patriot were also moved in 2021 as well. There was a time when the Dodge Viper sports car was a sizzling hot option, but half a decade has gone by since the last production vehicle debuted as the 2017 Dodge Viper. The Dodge Dart on the other hand, the Dart has not been in production since last being built in 2015. The Chrysler Town & Country dealt only four vehicles, but the Town & Country was last made in 2016.

Jeep Patriot Sells More

The Jeep Patriot SUV crossover ran its course and the production run ended in 2016. The Belvidere Assembly Plant last saw one roll off the production chain in December 2016. There were actually 16 units sold in 2021 and that was an outstanding 433% difference from 2020. Not that Stellantis is going to revive any of these vehicles as they have provided customers with a wide slew of options. The 2022 Jeep lineup contains more choices than ever before for shoppers. The new year has brought many perks for those looking to upgrade their current ride and we can’t wait to help put on some smiles on the faces of our customers at Miami Lakes Automall.

Dodge Spending Billions To Improve Software & Technology

Thursday, December 9th, 2021

The changes of the pandemic are widespread, both for consumers and automakers. The one constant is the hope to see life change for the better and quickly, but luckily we are seeing the results of new goals and future endeavors of massive brands pumping tons of money into innovation. The results are beginning to show as Dodge is moving away from traditional, same ol’, same ol’ entries with new energy and creations for buyers. The truth also can be found that currently, there are not enough vehicles to go around as demand is growing rapidly for these new vehicles.

How the CEO Approaches New Challenges

The CEO of Stellantis, Carlos Tavares, has addressed this as recent as this week a few weeks before 2022 arrives, how popular this year has been for car sales. When speaking before journalists, Tavares had this to say. The next move for the brand is ramping up production towards the electrified muscle cars, but a large focus is knowing many people want the current vehicles Dodge has.

“My order book is going through the roof. People want to buy cars. It’s amazing. It’s as if we have all discovered through the COVID crisis how important it is to protect our freedom of mobility. And therefore, what’s the best way to protect my freedom of mobility is to have a car,” Tavares remarked while at a former Dodge Viper plant now known as the Conner Center.

Dodge Moves Ahead With Software Upgrades

The collection of Dodge vehicles has changed from cars like the Dodge Viper to more consumer-approved, fuel-friendly options. Over the course of this next decade, we will see even better options added for consumers. Battery electric vehicles are more expensive to manufacture; they are as much as 50% more expensive. The source of Dodge and other Stellantis brands’ innovation comes from software expansion. The better they are strategizing, the better the vehicles will be for consumers. There is no doubt the Dodge brand is making waves. Dodge has put together $22.6 billion dollars towards upgrading their software and changing the driving experience with “software-enabled products” and subscription services. The Stellantis brand is also trying to build on its autonomous vehicle development with its established partnerships with both BMW and Waymo. In total $34 billion has gone into electrification and these software developments through 2025.  For those interested in driving the new Dodge muscle cars, check with us at Miami Lakes Automall!

The Dodge Journey Is Sticking Around Worldwide

Thursday, October 7th, 2021

The Dodge Journey might have been moved from the United States, but the vehicle isn’t done with Stellantis just yet. The 2022 Dodge Journey has returned to be sold in North America, but this vehicle will only be sold in Mexico and China as well. The vehicle has made its way out to China to be produced for future entries. Back in 2008, when the Dodge Journey was first released, the production growth for the vehicle swelled. By 2020, the Journey was on the way out, but only in the United States. These Journey vehicles are to be made in Hangzhou, China. They will be made by a Chinese automaker known as GAC.

More On the Future of the Dodge Journey

The joint-venture between China and the Stellantis brand will help grow the Dodge brand elsewhere, specifically China. The SUV is going to carry a 1.5-Liter turbocharged engine that offers 169 horsepower and 188 lb-ft of torque. The powertrain is paired to a six-speed automatic four-wheel-drive vehicle. Three trims will be offered including the SXT, Sport, and GT trims. The GT will supply larger 19″ wheels, a 360-degree camera and 12.3″ digital gauge cluster, plus hands-free trunk release. There’s still a  focus on the Dodge Journey as it stays around for a new market. This is news to the board at hand spending the money to make this venture work between the Dodge brand and GAC.

“(This is) a new way for us to ship our vehicles to the overseas market by cooperating with international automobile giants,” said General Manager of GAC Motor Zeng Hebin.

Production Continues Through 2021

GAC is aiming to sell about 4,000 of these Dodge Journey vehicles. GAC is responsible for providing vehicles to 26 countries with over 35,000 vehicles sold overseas and exported in just 2020 alone. Considering this kind of expansion, the Journey will continue to make its name known. The nameplate will exist for at least the 2022 model year and perhaps beyond. Dodge is used to making vehicles that can last the test of time, look at how well the Dodge Charger has fared with plenty of classic Dodge muscle cars still around and the newest Dodge muscle cars have never been better. Come check out what we have to offer our costumes and learn about the next steps Dodge is making towards offering a brand new Dodge electric muscle car by 2024. The automotive landscape will look very different by then. At Miami Lakes Automall, we could even have a brand new Dodge SUV ready for our customers soon. For now, shop with us to find the Dodge vehicle that works best.

Dodge Is Pushing Ahead With Electric Plans, Revealing New Details

Friday, August 20th, 2021

The particulars of all the innovations coming to Dodge have somewhat been announced with its “Never Lift” program being recently declared. The sixth-annual Dodge Roadkill Nights, an automotive celebration held in Pontiac, Michigan, took place on the third weekend of August earlier this month. During the event, a press conference was held that gave Dodge fans, enthusiasts, plus media workers the chance to talk to the Dodge brass about anything their hearts desired. One such subject made was the electric plans that have been teased and announced to a degree for the muscle car brand. The growth of Stellantis is directly tied to the electric future of the Dodge brand.

“When you make a big change, there’s going to be people that just aren’t going to follow you, at least initially. But a lot of those people will return eventually when they see we’re serious, and we’re going to be Dodge first,” remarked Tim Kuniskis.

More News Coming Ahead of the EV Debut In 2024

The calendar of introductions for the Dodge brand will include official dates for the trim line changes to each particular Dodge vehicle in the subsequent months, new appearance-based trims that will offer meaningful upgrades as well as the eventual date for the end of the current platform used on their muscle cars. The Charger and Challenger have been built and ridden on the same platform since their debut the decade before last (2006 and 2008 respectively). We have already discovered the latest Dodge vehicle, the first all-electric Dodge muscle car set to become introduced by 2024. This date will come by sooner than most customers realize!

“The new car comes in 2024. We didn’t say that the current cars are going to die in 2024. There might be a little overlap, but you’re not going to have years and years and years of the classic and the new one at the same time.” said Tim Kuniskis, Dodge CEO

When To Expect More Dodge Muscle News

The fourth quarter of 2021 begins in just over a month and a half and at some point is when we will see what is to come from the brand. Dodge saw their Challenger surpass the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro earlier in 2021. So progress has continued for the brand in 2021. The forthcoming “Never Lift” program is sure to be a success for all Dodge fans and owners alike. Keep in mind, the celebrated run for the mean Dodge muscle machines has persisted as long as it has this time around thanks to high-powered manufacturing and plans that includes over 800 horsepower stock in some of these vehicles. The next two years will include more than trim packages with appearance upgrades; as we’ve been told before. Will there be something to rival the 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye? We are anticipating more accounts on the subject, but let us offer some exceptionally quick options at Miami Lakes Automall.

Dodge Brings Their Best to Texas

State Fair of Texas Miami Lakes Automall

State Fair of Texas Miami Lakes Automall

Everything is bigger in Texas. That’s a true statement, especially when Dodge rolls into the 2019 State Fair of Texas with its largest line-up ever. Dodge brought along the latest Grand Caravan, Journey, Charger, Challenger, and Durango for customers to see and behold. Drivers that want to spice up their daily driving routine would not only get a bargain on excitement but one of the best-produced vehicles on the roads in a current Dodge. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has worked hard to put together a top-notch group of vehicles and no brand represents their work quite like the Dodge brand.

How FCA Has Made All Their Great Vehicles

Vehicles made by FCA and Dodge are possible thanks to the engineers and automakers that have a passion to bring out the best in each other. FCA has also done their best to reward their employees. For the 11th year in a row, FCA was named by the National Business Group on Health (NBGH) for their commitment to their employees. The award from the NBGh is the 2019 Best Employees: Excellence in Heath and Well-being Award. This is the ninth consecutive time that FCA is the only automaker to win this distinction.

Not Just Muscle Cars Go Fast

Very few vehicles are able to handle quite like a Dodge, whether it’s their muscle cars or their Dodge Durango SUV. The Durango also carries an SRT version. The Street Racing Technology added to the SRT trim of the Durango and thus created the fastest three-row SUV in the world. Speaking on behalf of FCA, the parent company of Dodge, Steve Yandura, the Director of the Southwest Business Center for FCA US added this statement.

“We are bringing our best lineup yet to the State Fair of Texas, Texas Auto Show. Every year, we work to build on our past success at the fair and this year fair attendees will thoroughly enjoy our displays and interactives,”  – said Steve Yandura.

Experience the Acceleration of the Dodge Line-up

Don’t wait any longer to experience driving a Dodge vehicle. Amongst the many cars that have been produced for the muscle car segment, few offer as much value for the price as the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger. The latest editions from Dodge punctuate the strength of the brand. Dodge took the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye to show off at the State Fair of Texas. For drivers hoping to show off a vehicle of their own, driving the new SRT Hellcat Redeye is not a bad way to start. The 797 horsepower fitted from its remarkable 6.2-Liter turbocharged engine makes the SRT Hellcat Redeye stand out. This Dodge product is likely the most aggressively fast muscle car most car owners will ever drive. Want to know what these vehicles are like? Made with love and ready to be driven by owners who love them, we have the latest collection of Dodge vehicles today at Miami Lakes Automall.

Internet Is a Frenzy on Yellow Splitter Guards on Dodge Muscle Cars

Friday, June 14th, 2019
Splitter Miami Lakes Automall

Splitter Miami Lakes Automall

Every now and then, certain vehicles catch the attention of the public and gain serious traction. We’ve noticed one particular item of interest for buyers and readers when it comes to our Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger models. For those who are buying a new Dodge muscle car, we want to inform our customers we do, in fact, leave the yellow splitter guards on. An eyesore to true motorheads, but something appealing to quite a few car buyers, we have all the facts on both sides. For the pros and cons of the splitter guards, let’s go over them and share the truth behind a subject that has become a trending topic lately.

Dodge Splitter Guards?

First off, what is a splitter guard? Dodge places protective yellow splitter guards on vehicles that are shipped out directly from the factory onto large 18-wheelers to be delivered at dealerships across the United States. At Miami Lakes Automall, we actually leave the splitter guards on as they are protecting the splitter and help keep the vehicle safe when being loaded and transported. We believe the customer has the choice to take them off or leave them on, based on their preference. The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger will have them, for those curious.

Is It Safe to Keep a Splitter Guard On?

100% safe. Splitter guards are made to help protect the vehicle they are attached to. Removing them is easy, but keep in mind, while some see them as a decorative fashion piece, others don’t. However, one thing that is agreed upon from both sides is they are protective and help keep from any scrapes hitting on the side. Safety is not the question when it comes to splitter guards. It’s purely a matter of automotive taste.

Do Splitter Guards Come In Other Colors?

No. Unfortunately, there is only one color for the splitter guards. Yellow is the color of caution as the splitter guards take care of our vehicles when they are brought onto our lot. We would want to have the vehicle look as polished and protected as possible. Maybe one day there might be other colors, but for now, the answer is no. Splitter guards are sold on eBay for close to $100, which is something to keep in mind.

Why Leave the Splitter Guard On?

This is how we aim to present the vehicle and allow the customer to enjoy their experience of getting some of the fastest and most powerful cars with no alterations by us. For those who want to keep them on for a while, as a customer might do with a sticker on a new hat, we let the owner decide when to remove the plastic yellow splitters. It’s also not illegal to keep them on and drive with them, either. Protecting the low-mounted splitter of a vehicle is important to many drivers. Having a splitter guard will help to ensure there are no marks on the vehicle when parking or driving up or down steep parking ramps.

The Choice Is Yours

Want to know what it’s like to drive with a new Dodge muscle car? We have them at Miami Lakes Automall. Come check out the new Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger muscle cars available today. The New Red, White, and Blue: Drive the Dodge Stars & Stripes Edition Muscle

Wednesday, April 17th, 2019
2019 Dodge Stars Miami Lakes

All-American Performance: Dodge Salutes U.S. Armed Forces with Stars & Stripes Edition on Challenger and Charger

Dodge is welcoming service members and fans of the military to get a taste and sneak-preview of their all-new Stars & Stripes special edition package. The special edition package will be available for both the 2019 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger models. These prized muscle cars are going to be first shown at the 2019 New York International Auto Show opening on Friday, April 19th through Sunday, April 28th, 2019. Dodge declared their Stars & Stripes special edition vehicles will be available to reserve in May 2019 and hit dealerships nationwide later in the summer.

Step Into the Stars & Stripes Package

The Stars & Stripes package will provide these muscle cars with a detailed and polished look. The color choices are not the typical American red, white and blue, but instead, Dodge has given these vehicles a robust military appearance with the green and silver body color display. Each model will come with various aesthetic interior upgrades, including gloss black interior accents, unique black-on-black cloth seats. Dodge added an embroidered bronze star, a bronze instrument panel, and sharp bronze stitching into the whole interior. This is a vehicle that any military service member should consider, especially if they want some pure muscle car fun with each drive. The distinctive feature is a long matte, satin black and silver accent stripe that stretches across the middle of the vehicle. Many will note the American flag fender decals and 20-inch gloss black wheels, black badging and the fact this package isn’t for the base trims on either vehicle.

“We have a strong following of buyers who are in the military, as well as many buyers who are patriotic,” Steve Beahm, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Head of Passenger-Car Brands.

Feel the Awesome Power of Dodge Muscle

Customers can’t go wrong with either vehicle they decide on. The 2019 Dodge Charger is the fastest-sedan muscle car available today, and the 2019 Dodge Challenger presents a two-door experience that is comparable for owners. Both vehicles offer extraordinary speed, high-performance engine power and an outstanding ride to enjoy.  The GT trims carry the well-known and trusted Pentastar 3.6-Liter V6 engine that produces 300 horsepower and 264 lb-ft of torque for the 2019 Charger and 305 horsepower and 268 lb-ft in the 2019 Challenger. A step up from the GT are the R/T trims, which have the mightier 5.7-Liter V8 engine that outfits 375 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque for both the Challenger and Charger. The Scat Pack trim combines the even more notable strength as the powertrain supplied is a 6.4-Liter V8 that drives up to 485 horsepower with 475 lb-ft of torque for both vehicles. Now that’s some serious muscle any Dodge fan can enjoy.

Select Special Edition Pricing

For those considering this special edition package, the Stars & Stripes edition is available for an extra $1,995 for the following models: 2019 Dodge Challenger R/T Scat Pack and Charger Scat Pack; 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger R/T models; and 2019 Dodge Challenger and Charger GT RWD models. Good news for any active or retired military service members, Dodge will offer a $500 military bonus cash incentive on select purchases and leases. This discount is available thanks to the FCA Honoring Those Who Serve program. When contemplating if either the Dodge Challenger or Dodge Charger is a perfect choice, we know where you can go to test them out and be better informed.

Similarities + Differences Between Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger

Friday, April 6th, 2018

2015_Dodge_Charger_Challenger-miami-lakes-automall-similarities-differences

Just like some people have a hard time being able to tell twins apart from one another, some people have a hard time distinguishing the Dodge Challenger from a Dodge Charger, but just like twins, the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger both have their own unique qualities, but they also have a lot in common, too. If you are one of the people that just can’t seem to ever remember which Dodge muscle car you see whizzing past you, here are a couple similarities and differences between the two.

Size + Doors

The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger are very similar in size and they are both five passenger vehicles. The Dodge Charger is just over 198 inches and the Dodge Challenger is a hair under 198 inches, however, the Dodge Charger has four doors and the Dodge Challenger has two doors.

Exterior Design

The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger have pretty different exterior designs, but one thing that’s for sure is they both have an aggressive look that lets people know they are muscle cars without ever hearing the sound of the engine. Specifically speaking though, the Dodge Challenger has a more of a traditional muscle car look and the Dodge Charger has a more modern look.

From the front to the back, the Dodge Challenger is designed to look like a blocky, widebody muscle car. Just like the original designs of the Dodge Charger and the Dodge Challenger, the 2018 Dodge Challenger has a front grille, headlights and taillights that stretch the entire width of the vehicle.Just like the original Dodge Challenger, the 2018 Challenger has four round headlights and the taillights are two long rectangles that are separated in the middle of the vehicle by “DODGE.”

Additionally, Dodge took the Challenger’s traditional muscle car look a bit further for the 2018 model year. Instead of just making the Challenger look like a widebody muscle car with its blocky design, wide grille and wide tail lights, Dodge actually made two widebody Challenger models. The new Challenger models that have the wider stance are the Challenger SRT Hellcat Widebody and the Challenger SRT Demon, and they both have fender flares that are 3.5 inches wider than non-widebody Challenger models.

In comparison to the Challenger, the 2018 Dodge Charger has a curvier front end and the headlights aren’t round, there are only two instead of four, and they don’t look like they are embedded into the grille like they do on the Challenger. In the rear, the Charger has a long strip of tail lights, which is a trait of the original Dodge Charger models.

Engines

Up until the 2018 model year, the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger had identical engine lineups. The Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger were both available with the same four engines, the 3.6L V6 engine, 5.7L HEMI V8 engine, 6.4L HEMI V8 engine and the supercharged 6.2L HEMI SRT Hellcat V8 engine. However, in 2018 a new engine was added to the Dodge Challenger lineup, and it is the most powerful engine Dodge has ever made. The new engine is the supercharged 6.2L HEMI Demon V8 engine and it produces a record-breaking 840 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque.

Drivetrain

Starting in 2017, the Challenger and Charger were both offered with rear-wheel-drive or all-wheel-drive. Previous to 2017, AWD was only an available option on the Charger, so that gave the Charger a bit of an edge over the Challenger for consumers living in places that experience ice and snow, but now customers can get the same handling with either model.

Shaker Hood

If you ever see a modern-day Dodge muscle car and it has a “thing” sticking out of the middle of the hood, that is a shaker, and the model you are looking at is a Dodge Challenger. A shaker is a air intake that is mounted on the top of the hood, and it is only available on the Dodge Challenger.

You can come take a look at the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger at Miami Lakes Automall. Once you see both vehicles up close, you’ll be able to figure out which one you want to take home.
