Dodge Promotes A Slew of Sleek New Appearance Packages

Thursday, October 28th, 2021

Dodge has been doing rather well lately, but they aren’t stopping with new rollouts any time soon. Dodge is ready to push sales towards their Dodge Charger and Challenger. The 2022 Dodge muscle car lineup will receive new styling packages that include the HEMI Orange and SRT Black Package appearance packages. The 2022 Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger look extra sleek with the dry-paint job with a unique single line that goes off center from the front bumper to the back bumper. The distinctive look of the HEMI Orange adds orange accents outside the muscle car with full-length outstretched orange accent stripe. Orange stitching can be observed on the flat-bottom steering wheel, console lid, instrument panel, across the doors and armrests, plus the shifter boot. There’s one more package that is also a particularly popular choice for Dodge muscle car drivers.

Go Widebody For Greater Grip + Additional Style

Owners can opt for a Scat Pack Widebody package that includes orange Brembo six-piston calipers that are matched with carbon black 20-inch Warp Speed wheels. The theme and detail provided with these packages are a throwback to the 1950s classic HEMI engine vehicles. Customers will note the bolstered seating has the embroidered Dodge logos. The Scat Pack Widebody includes a “392” added to the instrumental panel as a badge and costs $1,500. The black-out interior accents are found on the vent rings and the cup holders as well. Both the Dodge Charger and Dodge Challenger offer the “Widebody” trim treatment.

Owners can opt for the SRT Black package that will turn the SRT Hellcat and SRT Hellcat Redeye trims into even more sharp and sophisticated looking muscle cars. The SRT Black appearance kit is just $695 and Dodge has announced the Dodge Durango SRT will gain this package as well. The SRT exterior badging is found on the fender, grille, as well as on an added spoiler or decklid piece for the Charger.

Not Just Attractive, Wicked Fast, Too

The styling only helps owners decide to go with one of these options. After all, the performance is already high-octane and invigorating for drivers as the remarkable handling makes all the difference. That difference is helping Dodge move ahead of rival brands as sales have gone higher and surpassed the Mustang so far in 2021. Dodge is celebrating its latest award win with their 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat being named MotorWeek’s Drivers’ Choice award. For any person who has driven or even been inside of a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, they can attest to the wonderful performance, speed and power that the Challenger has always embodied. Of course, that’s exactly what makes the all-new 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye so attractive to consumers.

With the limits of maximum horsepower in a muscle car being pushed every year, Dodge has been awarded for their efforts to provide the customers with the best muscle cars on the planet. MotorWeek‘s Drivers’ Choice Award was for “Best Performance Car” and that is exactly the embodiment of Dodge. Pure performance and sleek design carry the Dodge muscle car lineup, most notably the new 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye.

Race With the Redeye

No other production vehicle comes out of the gate as fast as the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. The reason for the speed is thanks to the supercharged 6.2-Liter V8 engine that produces 797 horsepower with 707 lb-ft of torque. Unbelievable performance includes 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.4 seconds, a quarter-mile time of merely 10.8 seconds at 131 mph, and a considerably wicked top speed of 203 mph, even faster speed than the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon in the same amount of time. Parts of the illustrious Dodge SRT Demon made its way into the Hellcat Redeye to make it so remarkable. While Dodge is looking to find ways to add electric power to enhance their muscle cars, currently this is not the case for the Dodge Challenger.

What Makes the Redeye Stand Out?

Aside from its lighting fast speed, the muscle car is built like few vehicles ever. In fact, it is built like only one vehicle; the SRT Demon. The all-new 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye added the Demon’s Torque Reserve, pistons, high-speed connecting rods, and valvetrain. The same Dodge engineering team helped make the latest carnation of the Challenger. With all these parts making up the SRT Hellcat Redeye, there are no other vehicles that compare to the newest muscle car on the block built by Dodge today. (The Dodge SRT Demon is already out of production after its lone year and 3,300 total vehicles produced.)

“It’s awesome to know the muscle car spirit of the Demon lives on in the Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye,” said John Davis, creator and host of MotorWeek, television’s longest running automotive magazine show.

So, what is the starting price of the SRT Redeye? Drivers can get their hands on the SRT Redeye for $71,045 MSRP (plus destination fee). We’re excited to mention that newest Dodge Challenger, the phenomenal SRT Hellcat Redeye is available at Miami Lakes Automall.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has new plans for the shape of the upcoming 2020 Dodge Charger. The latest details include finally providing customers with a widebody version for the 2020 Dodge Charger. While Dodge has stated they do not comment on vehicles that aren’t announced, they have no comment, there’s always a way for details to arrive before the official launch. Everyone is clamoring for news regarding their favorite vehicles around this time of year as the new year always brings chatter and speculation. This year is no different, with news being released right before the longest running auto show in Chicago in February (2019). Ready to know how the widebody will be added to the Dodge Charger?

Insider Information Has Leaked

Mopar Insiders have said the 2020 Dodge Charger is set to feature a very different appearance for both their front and rear fascias. It’s known that the widebody treatment can only come with new sheet metal added. The 2019 dual-snorkel grille is set to be redesigned for the sheet metal to be added to accommodate the wider fenders. There are also claims the 2020 Charger Widebody will carry the same hood that is currently used on the Charger Hellcat. The side sills are supposed to be redesigned to accommodate the widebody version. The report by Mopar Insiders also suggests the Charger Widebody is set to ride on 305/35ZR20 Pirelli tires, the same tires that are on the Challenger Widebody.

Multiple Charger Widebody Trims?

The Charger will always look powerful, it’s a muscle sedan that feels smooth when driving and carries the prestige of top-level craftsmanship. So how would a widebody addition help? There hasn’t been a widebody for the Charger, only the Dodge Challenger muscle car. Not only will this be special for Charger fans, but customers also won’t have to pay for the higher trim Hellcat model just to drive away with a Charger Widebody.

It is rumored that the Scat Pack trim will have the widebody feature available. This is huge for those consumers that are looking to save some money and still drive the Charger Widebody.

If there isn’t more news set to come out of the Chicago Auto Show, the 2019 New York Auto Show in April will most likely prove more insight. As Dodge remains mum on any news, we’ll hold our ear to the ground. However, to drive the latest Dodge muscle cars, check out all the new Dodge vehicles awaiting a test-drive at Miami Lakes Automall.

For any police officer that has wanted to drive the Batmobile, the closest example of that remarkable, bulletproof car isn’t a dream any longer. Impressive technology that can help save lives of police can be found in the armored Hellcat that’s being made by International Armoring Corporation, a Utah based armoring business that produces high-quality, custom protective solutions. Their bulletproof protection is offered across every platform of vehicle from crossovers, coupes, sedans and vans to SUVs, trucks and hatchbacks; there’s no vehicle they can’t upgrade. What makes this company’s touch on the Hellcat so incredible is the fact their armored protection can stop some serious heavy caliber rounds. These vehicles might become something that is adopted by police forces across the country.

What Kind of Unique Armor?

The Armormax company install the ultimate light-weight ballistic armoring material throughout the vehicles they equip. The armor produced by Armormax is capable of stopping up to B7 ballistic protection levels. Armormax has come up with their own rating system for varying levels of protection.

B4, B5, B6 and B7 are their various levels of armored protection.

  • B4 protection is capable of stopping hand guns,
  • B5 can handle up to AK-47 rounds
  • B6 is capable of high caliber rifle protection.
  • B7 level armor that provides armor piercing protection is a part of the unique armored Hellcat.

Regardless of the velocity of the damage coming, these superior vehicles are prepared to handle incoming fire. The International Armoring Company has safely protected over 8,000 vehicles around the world since 1993. Their protection allows drivers to feel more secure in their vehicle with Armormax, their lightest vehicle armor that has a 100% success rate in protecting their clients. The Joker doesn’t stand a chance against this kind of protection!

How Do They Protect The Windshield?

One spot that would appear to be very vulnerable for any vehicle upon any attack with a weapon would be the windshield. With the use of Lightweight Transparent Armor (LTA), a material used for all the armored glass in all its vehicles, there’s a superior level of protection from oncoming fire. LTA is International Armoring Corporation ballistic glass of choice. They offer their protective glass and armor at multiple facilities in multiple countries, including the United States, and use the highest quality materials to ensure safety and success against all sorts of guns and weapons.

Dodge vehicles, including the wicked fast Hellcat, are highly sought after vehicles. Any police force that is serious about protecting their officers would be wise to add these vehicles into their fleet. For the rest of us, there’s nothing wrong with owning a civilian grade piece of muscle car history. The latest 2019 Dodge Charger and the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat vehicles are available at one place. Who wouldn’t want to drive a SRT Hellcat with the powerful HEMI V8 engine that produces an utterly impressive 707 horsepower?!

SRT Past, Present and Future

Miami Lakes SRT Viper Dodge Hellcat

With Dodge coming out with the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon next month, we thought it was time to brush up on our SRT knowledge. We also thought our readers would like to know what’s so special about SRT vehicles anyways. Heck, what does “SRT” even stand for? Well, SRT has some pretty interesting history, and if all goes well, it’ll also have a pretty interesting future.

SRT Origins

Believe it or not, “SRT” wasn’t always called SRT, nor was it always a part of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA). Not a huge surprise, businesses and project teams go through changes, and that’s how SRT started – a high-performance automobile group, now working within FCA. The team was known as “Team Viper,” and wouldn’t you know they were in charge of designing and developing the legendary Dodge Viper. After a merge with “Team Prowler,” the developers of the Plymouth Prowler, they became known as Specialty Vehicle Engineering (SVE), then renamed as “Performance Vehicle Operations” (PVO), and then the group finally settled on the acronym “SRT” for “Street & Racing Technology”.

This acronym is usually in the title of a car that has an SRT engine, as well as in the name of the engine itself – usually. For instance, the Dodge Challenger T/A Plus comes with the SRT 392 engine, but “SRT” is missing from both, the title of the car and the name of the engine. Since its conception, SRT has made many vehicles with the SRT name, and some of them are still around today.
