Stellantis Growing Their Dodge, Other Brands By Leaps and Bounds
Thursday, March 3rd, 2022

Profits are showing up for Stellantis, the fourth-largest automaker in the world, and its brands. Stellantis has recently announced things are looking quite dazzling. They have declared plans to double its revenue to 300 billion euros ($335 billion) by 2030, according to CEO Carlos Tavares. The biggest reason is the double-digit operating profit margin is likely thanks to its move to all-electric vehicles. The 25% to 30% dividend payout ratio and plans to repurchase up to 5% of outstanding common shares from now through 2025. The more extensive plan is to see the Stellantis company, the parent company of Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler, among others, be carbon-neutral by 2038 with as considerable as a 50% of outstanding common shares through 2025. Dodge recently announced a plan to construct a new EV plant in Michigan.
“We are moving, and we are moving fast to be a mobility-tech company,” Tavares said.
More EVs Coming From Stellantis Soon
When Stellantis saw their double-digit profits, the main reason is thanks to expanding its portfolio. The world is interested to see more EVs and find them in their driveways. Saving money on the exploding prices of oil lately has helped grow some interest in EVs. Ram is getting prepared to offer their first-ever fully electric Ram 1500 EV, possibly known as the Ram Revolution, as the Stellantis brand will see. Intriguing to note, Dodge will soon announce their first-ever Chief Donut Maker. Yes, that’s a real job being filled. Dodge is giving the winner a part-time brand ambassador for the carmaker, a side gig that will grant them $150,000 to showcase all the pleasure of the Dodge SRT Hellcat trim experience. What Was the Dodge Polara Muscle Car?
Friday, December 17th, 2021
Dodge is expanding to new EV efforts, so many customers are speculating if they will still pack the same power the brand has offered for decades. The long-time fans of the brand might be shocked to see an electric Dodge muscle car. Those who remember the 1960s will know the Dodge golden era of muscle. The 1960 Dodge Polara was the first-ever muscle car made by the Dodge brand in the 1960s and wound up being the most successful Dodge nameplate with success lasting the entire decade. The stretch from 1960 through 1970 when the Dodge Challenger overtook the Dodge brand as its top-flight Dodge vehicle. The Dodge brand has seen their muscle car sales grow to figures that are comparable to pre-Covid-19 numbers.
A History of the Dodge Polara
The Dodge Polara saw its first-generation range from 1960 to 1961 and after two years, the second-generation was presented as the figures from 1961 declined 50% from the year before. The 1962 Dodge Polara was the start of a smaller muscle car that saw its wheelbase shortened to 116 inches. The Dodge Polara would offer its third-generation from 1965 and 1968 with the muscle car going into a full-size C platform build. The Polara replaced the Dodge 880 and was the top vehicle for the brand. The Dodge Polara ended with its fourth-generation that came out in 1969 and served for five years. The 1973 Polara was the last one made as the Dodge brand formed the Monaco to supersede the vehicle in 1974. The Dodge Polara was vended as a Classic car for $18,113 on October 14th, 2020 at an auction in Toronto, Canada to give buyers a notion of the tremendous resale significance affixed to all Dodge vehicles.
Dodge Muscle Cars Are Changing For the Better
Dodge has seen their muscle cars of today expand to wild horsepower numbers, as much as 800 horsepower with modern help ramping up the final product. Dodge has put a lot of stock into making their vehicles maximize their prospects by withdrawing certain trims or vehicles to get the most out of the brand. One vehicle that might alter is the Durango that could pivot into a new vehicle. Look at the modifications coming, but know the awards the brand has garnered has pointed to the right direction with distinctions being named for the brand quite often.

Dodge Teases New Electric Muscle Car
Friday, July 9th, 2021

We have received the news we were waiting for; Dodge has first introduced the first image of the future Dodge EV yet to be named. This will be the world’s first all-electric production muscle car. Dodge delivered a new teaser image of what buyers will fantasize about till more is revealed. Currently, the 2021 Dodge Challenger is the freshest Dodge muscle car, but not for long as we know over the summer the next model year, the 2022 Dodge Challenger will debut. The shift has now shined brightly to the newest creation set to debut in 2024. We can expect the next generation of Dodge muscle cars, both the Charger and the Challenger to not only ride on a new platform and offer an entirely new experience both inside and out, to start in less than three short years. As we’ve covered, the electric future of the Dodge brand, as well as the automotive industry as a whole, was a cavalier move we considered to be important to the muscle car segment. Now, the first step of progress has finally been revealed.
Dodge Looking To Curb Climate Change
The new crop of the Charger and Challenger models, if they are the ones selected to offer an electric experience, are a welcomed sight to drivers and dealerships alike. Dodge will offer up the electrified trim to be named as Stellantis, the parent company of Dodge, has declared a tag line to go with the muscle car brand. “Tear Up the Streets, Not the Planet” and the electric Dodge car will commence the means of moving away from gasoline-powered muscle cars to newly made electric vehicles. The Dodge brand offered a comment that included “Dodge will not sell electric cars, but will sell American muscle” as the brand maintains their designers have attained the end of what they can produce from internal combustion motors. The Dodge brand “has an obligation to embrace” electrification for a more all-embracing high-performance future. There is some consideration that the first-ever electric muscle car made by Dodge (or anywhere else) will be designated as something brand new.
We have our view the Dodge brand will increase its EV skills to both the Charger and the Challenger and even build a new EV nameplate, either through improving an older title or creating a new one. The next judgment will be up to the buyers to decide how much they want to drive a Dodge EV. We’ve focused on this story, as the Dodge EV articles from our database show, but we are happy to see the newest results.
The New 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Has Demon DNA
Thursday, July 5th, 2018
Back when we received a tease about the 2019 Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat trims, there wasn’t much Dodge seemed inclined on sharing. There were two teaser images, a profile for the Challenger SRT Hellcat and a look at its new hood, and another teaser image for the Charger SRT Hellcat with a focus on its front fascia grille. There was talk about improving horsepower, maybe a new Hellcat engine, and even some SRT Demon bits thrown in to keep the gates of Hell open a little longer. Summer is here, and as promised, Dodge released more news about their 2019 high-powered sedan.
Recap of What’s New
In case we’re not all caught up here, there is a lot of talk about stretching the horsepower of the Dodge SRT Hellcat trims by a little for 2019. With the not-so-amazing reception of the SRT Demon, Dodge is using the experience and the technology used to develop the SRT Demon engine to improve upon what already works – a muscle car that is more inclined to be used on the street, but can still burn up the race track. With this in mind, it can’t be a coincidence that Dodge is also going with a more iconic look to pay homage to its heritage, once again, for 2019.
Dodge Grand Caravan: the Ultimate Tailgating Party Vehicle
Friday, June 29th, 2018
Aren’t tailgating parties fun? And no, for those that were previously unaware, it’s not a party where a bunch of cars tailgate one another like ants. A tailgate party is actually a social event that takes place usually before or after a game of sports, like football, in or around the stadium or arena where the game takes place. Many people will park in one location, usually around a main center area where people will set up grills for barbecue, provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and whatever else to add to the good times. Most consumers may think a truck or an SUV is the perfect solution, especially with the RamBox Cargo Management System, but when it comes to big parties, minivans might work just as well.
Tailgating With the Dodge Grand Caravan
Yes, it’s a minivan, but the Dodge Grand Caravan was practically made for tailgating. Mainly, we’re talking about the Grand Caravan SXT trim, with a starting MSRP of $31,750* that has the third row Stow ‘n Go tailgate seats. Yeah, that’s right – the second row and third row Stow ‘n Go seats may be standard across the lineup, but the 60/40 Stow ‘n Go split-bench double as tailgate seats in the Grand Caravan SXT. Simply flip the seats back, and that’s two front-row seats to the tailgate party.
Then there’s food, beverages, and party favors. Where can we keep all of this stuff? Depending on the party guests, thanks to the Stow ‘n Go seats that also double as split-benches, we can load up one or both sides of the Dodge Grand Caravan. With the second and third-rows stowed away, a total of 140 cubic-feet of free space opens up. That’s enough for a cooler or two, some sports gear and party favors, even a stereo for sick beats if looking to provide some music without draining the car battery.
2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit Debuts
Friday, June 22nd, 2018
The 2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit was unveiled not too long ago, May 2018, and it was another welcomed vehicle by police and law enforcement officers (LEOs). Like the Dodge Charger Pursuit, the Dodge Durango Pursuit was tailored as a vehicle for the police force. Evildoers will want to think twice about their next high-speed chase – Powered by a HEMI V8 engine, the Dodge Durango Pursuit may as well be a battering ram. Now, with 2019 details having been leaked for the Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger, Dodge debuted the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit at the National Sheriffs Association Show.
For the 2018 and 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit models, the powertrain is made up of a 5.7L HEMI® V8 engine paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. Both model years also come with the same standard all-wheel drivetrain (AWD) to handle all types of terrain. If things get a little bumpy, the 2018 and 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit are outfitted with a two-speed transfer case for true low-range off-road capability. The 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit also offers a 3.6L Pentastar V6 engine option for 293 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque and a highway fuel economy of 25 mpg versus 22 mpg on the highway with the 360hp 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine.
The body and chassis of the Dodge Durango also received modifications for its entrance exam into the police academy. For instance, the 2018 Dodge Durango Pursuit includes the segment’s longest wheelbase (119.8 inches) to provide added stability and improved handling, 8.1 inches of ground clearance, and larger, heavy-duty anti-lock brakes. Assuming these changes carry over to the 2019 model, the 2019 Dodge Durango Pursuit has a pursuit-rated brake package that features 13.8-inch rotors up front and 13-inch units in the rear for impressive stopping power.
Next Generation Dodge Challenger, Viper, and Chevrolet Corvette
Monday, June 11th, 2018
Back in 2017 when the Dodge brand released the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon, it was definitely a pinnacle of achievement for a factory-manufactured vehicle. Outfitted with a a supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI Demon V8 engine modified with over 90 new parts, the engine had the ability to generate up to 840 horsepower and 770 lb-ft of torque with a little 100+ high octane fuel. Since then, many wondered what was next for Dodge. At the same time, Chevrolet and other brands kept claiming they could beat the Dodge SRT Demon. For every brand that swats at the “fastest car title,” Dodge swats back.
2019 Dodge Challenger
For those who thought the Demon was it for the Dodge Challenger, don’t worry just yet. A teaser for the 2019 Dodge Challenger was released in May 2018, with more details being revealed in the summer. The teaser showed us a new design for the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat that gives the muscle car a new retro dual-snorkel hood scoop inspired by classic Mopar designs to pay tribute to its heritage way back when the Dodge Challenger first began. The first-generation Dodge Challenger featured the Dodge Challenger Trans Am, or T/A for short, and we think the revival of the T/A for recent Dodge Challenger model years may be linked to bringing back the retro look for the new 2019 Dodge Challenger.
The new hood scoop will also be functional, said to feed air into the supercharger lurking underneath. More air means more power, and of course bigger competition. Enter the next-gen Chevrolet Corvette.
