J.D. Power recently released the results of the 2018 Dependability Study which examines 2015 model year vehicles and the 2015 Dodge Challenger was ranked the Most Dependable in the midsize sporty car segment.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger had better results than its competitor, the 2015 Chevy Camaro. The 2015 Dodge Challenger earned five out of five ratings in three of the four dependability categories, which include: Feature and Accessory Dependability; Body and Interior Dependability; and Overall Dependability.

J.D. Power Dependability Study

The J.D. Power Dependability Study examines the number of issues reported in the last 12 months by original owners of 3-year-old vehicles to determine which vehicles are the most reliable. Vehicles and brands are evaluated based on the number of problems per 100 models.

J.D. Power has been one of the most trusted resources in the automotive world and their surveys rely on data provided by tens of thousands of participants. In addition to the Vehicle Dependability Study (VDS), the other major automotive studies that J.D. Power conducts each year include the Initial Quality Study (IQS) and the Automotive Performance Execution and Layout (APEAL) Study.

2015 Dodge Challenger

There were a lot of enhancements made to the Dodge Challenger in the 2015, so we’re not surprised to see it earn the top spot in its class. In 2015, the Challenger lineup expanded with the addition of the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, and it became the most powerful V8 muscle car in the world (at the time, that title now goes to the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon ). The Challenger SRT Hellcat produces 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. In addition to the new Challenger SRT Hellcat, Dodge also introduced three new performance ‘Shaker’ models to the 2015 Challenger lineup, giving consumers powerful and affordable options.

The 2015 Dodge Challenger also earned numerous awards during its model year. In 2015, the Dodge Challenger was named Highest in Initial Quality in its class in .J.D Power Initial Quality Study, it earned the top spot in its class in the J.D. Power APEAL Study and it’s Best Retained Value Award in the entry sports car segment.
