Dodge Charger Carries Half Value A Decade Later

Monday, April 4th, 2022

When we speak about the Dodge brand, we are usually inclined to note the tremendous resale value Dodge muscle cars keep. The news came this week of a decade-old Dodge Charger Daytona that was first introduced as an emblem of the racing legacy from their famed 1960s era muscle cars. Keep in mind that the Charger was prohibited by NASCAR 50 years ago. The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona was an enormous hit and the V8 HEMI put in this Dodge helped make the vehicle a massive triumph. In fact, the Daytona was recently produced again by Dodge and offered more than 200 mph speed! So, ten years afterward we are interested in the ROI (return on investment) for this 2013 Charger Daytona.

The Expansion of V8 Strength

What started as the Dodge muscle car delivering strength became consumers eventually having entry to superiorly robust engines with the expansion of V8 motors. Those V8s began a movement from those initial Chargers to the ones that symbolized ever so noticeably how far Dodge had come with the 2013 Daytona back then and in the SRT, SRT Hellcat, and SRT Hellcat Redeye assortment of muscle cars we see today. While we have witnessed the special plans Dodge has made to push forward electrified technology in their muscle cars, let us examine the 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona further.

Dodge Excellence Remains

Of course Dodge has discovered ways to rejuvenate and drum into previous generations, delivering throwback appearance packages of their famed vehicles, just like the 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona. The 2013 variation held four body color options including pitch black, bright white, billet silver, and Daytona blue. Owners enjoy the 5.7-Liter V8 engine that races from 0 to 60 MPH in 6 seconds. The nifty 20-inch polished aluminum wheels sold with glossed back inlays, gloss black wing mirrors, front grille, side skirts, and various rear bumper inserts. The interior carries the Nappa leather selection still found in the highest tier muscle cars produced by Dodge. Owners note a not-bad-for-2020-standards with their 2012 produced 8.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system, however the 10 speaker, 552 watt Beats audio system still maintains as outstanding no matter how much time goes on by. Dodge is skilled at offering vehicles that last the test of time.

Dodge Maintains Value For Years

Sometimes the greatest way to keep people intrigued is by staying ahead of the game or offering a unique vehicle option. Only 2,500 of these 2013 Dodge Charger Daytona models were created in 2012, acting as a way to offer upscale cars to help garner appeal. The result is about 50% value retained, even after a decade passing by. The $15,000 price point is quite impressive, as the vehicle was $32,000 MSRP in 2012. The value might increase to even loftier peaks with the EVs coming and gasoline cars set to become an infrequent find as this century goes on. For those glancing at the upcoming future of the Dodge line-up, like the 2023 Dodge Hornet anticipated to come out this year, we have all the news breaking and vehicles ready to go at Miami Lakes Automall!

A Hurricane Is Coming To Future Dodge Vehicles

Friday, March 25th, 2022
Hurricane Miami Lakes Automall

Dodge is ready to gear up for a new engine to be added in its vehicles. The 500 horsepower I-6 engine will also join fellow Stellantis brands, including the Jeep and Ram brand. The twin-turbo Hurricane engine carrying a 3.0-Liter powertrain will be featured in power trucks and SUVs for years to come for drivers. The Stellantis outreach will ensure owners are gaining a fast, powerful engine. The EV overhaul going on within their brands, including most notably Dodge with its upcoming EV muscle car in the works, is not going to upend plans to make better powertrains. Stellantis has said this future Dodge engine will offer “more than 400 horsepower and more than 450 lb-ft of torque,” at a max of 5,800 rpm. The high output variant will offer “more than 500 HP and more than 475 lb-ft of torque” at up to 6,100 rpm”. While not as much as 1,300 horsepower, this is a practical amount that is more than satisfactory for owners to have.

Breaking Down the Hurricane Engine’s Strength

The 90 percent of peak torque found in 2,350 rpm will be offered according to engineers. We are used to seeing HEMI powered engines and the future will contain powertrains that offer such beastly projections and strength. Purring loudly in a Dodge vehicle is a rite of passage and we know the Dodge brand will continue to offer vehicles that supply a gorgeous appearance and sound with their vehicles.

“As Stellantis aims to become the U.S. leader in electrification, with a 50-percent battery electric vehicle (BEV) sales mix by 2030, internal combustion engines will play a key role in our portfolio for years to come and we owe it to our customers and the environment to provide the cleanest, most-efficient propulsion possible. The Hurricane twin-turbo is a no-compromise engine that delivers better fuel economy and an important reduction in greenhouse gases without asking our customers to give up performance,” said Micky Bly, Stellantis Head of Propulsion Systems.

A Hurricane Is Coming With More Horsepower For Owners

The Hurricane engine name was first used for the old Willys I-4 engine used in the CJ-3, CJ-5, and CJ-6 Wrangler vehicles offer the years. The metal-on-metal bond is a unique and special coating that is thinner than previous attempts and the details are still coming out regarding this new engine choice. The standard and high-output variants of this engine share 96 common parts. The plant set to make these vehicle engines is expecting to produce 250,000 Hurricane engines per year, starting with the full production to begin later in 2022, possibly as soon as the summer. Remarkable 1,300 Horsepower Dodge Charger

Wednesday, March 16th, 2022
Helljet Miami Lakes Automall

The Dodge brand has been in the news making waves and all sorts of noise to a positive response with its EV muscle car set to debut in less than two years. We can be assured the Dodge brand is set to offer a slew of outstanding vehicles that are electrified and awesome, but for now, the latest news is focused on what we have today like the 1,000 horsepower engine found in a modified 1970 Dodge Charger or the 1,400 horsepower Dodge SRT Demon made a few years back. We’ve shown off some of the most impressive tuneups that Dodge owners have done to modify and upgrade the stock versions of their Dodge muscle cars. A recent example has come out with Westen Champlin’s new creation where the uniquely modified Dodge Charger has been revealed on their YouTube channel. Built out of passion and using premium Mopar parts to improve the already powerful Dodge muscle sedan, the YouTuber has crafted quite the outlandish Dodge muscle car build. Westen chose to coax a Dodge Charger Hellcat with nearly double the force Dodge supplies customers with, that’s what took this car to an upper echelon.

Dodge Charger Now and Then

Today, the seventh-generation Dodge Charger has been around since 2011 and will be phased out when the newest generation arrives sometime after next year. There was a refresh back in 2015, the same model year as the one this team changed up. Nowadays, the 2022 Dodge Charger starts from $33,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee) with a V6 engine, from $40,000 MSRP customers can acquire the 5.7-Liter V8 R/T version but at $75,000 MSRP the Hellcat sedan is available. Dubbed the HellJet, this outlandish invention supports a uniquely styled khaki green matt paint, a HellJet logo, labeled 777 on the sides, and jet-fighter teeth behind the front wheels. Those wheels are located in black, but the standout feature would have to be the bullhorns up front, though that’s still not all.

Perks of Something Special and Fierce

Westen does a burnout inside an active garage with exotic cars and has the goods revealed under the hood to reveal a tremendous new powertrain. The HellJet harbors the most recent supercharged 6.2-Liter Hellcat V8 that has also been twin-turbocharged with a Hellion turbo kit for a total of 1300 total horsepower, roughly 583 more horsepower than granted on the standard Dodge Charger Hellcat. They also moved a retired Dodge police vehicle, pushed up the engine output from 370 horsepower from the mid-tier 5.7-Liter V8 engine to a brand new Hellcat engine that delivers 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque. The entire build was all done from scratch, each part by part and crafted with time and some love. Owning a vehicle comes with the freedom to drive and enjoy the experience, but don’t put up with nagging noises, on-going engine troubles, or neglecting to tune up and prepare a vehicle for safer travel. We do more than just oil and tire changes at Miami Lakes Automall!

Stellantis Growing Their Dodge, Other Brands By Leaps and Bounds

Thursday, March 3rd, 2022
Stell Miami Lakes Automall

Profits are showing up for Stellantis, the fourth-largest automaker in the world, and its brands. Stellantis has recently announced things are looking quite dazzling. They have declared plans to double its revenue to 300 billion euros ($335 billion) by 2030, according to CEO Carlos Tavares. The biggest reason is the double-digit operating profit margin is likely thanks to its move to all-electric vehicles. The 25% to 30% dividend payout ratio and plans to repurchase up to 5% of outstanding common shares from now through 2025. The more extensive plan is to see the Stellantis company, the parent company of Jeep, Ram, Dodge and Chrysler, among others, be carbon-neutral by 2038 with as considerable as a 50% of outstanding common shares through 2025. Dodge recently announced a plan to construct a new EV plant in Michigan

“We are moving, and we are moving fast to be a mobility-tech company,” Tavares said.

More EVs Coming From Stellantis Soon

When Stellantis saw their double-digit profits, the main reason is thanks to expanding its portfolio. The world is interested to see more EVs and find them in their driveways. Saving money on the exploding prices of oil lately has helped grow some interest in EVs. Ram is getting prepared to offer their first-ever fully electric Ram 1500 EV, possibly known as the Ram Revolution, as the Stellantis brand will see. Intriguing to note, Dodge will soon announce their first-ever Chief Donut Maker. Yes, that’s a real job being filled. Dodge is  giving the winner a part-time brand ambassador for the carmaker, a side gig that will grant them $150,000 to showcase all the pleasure of the Dodge SRT Hellcat trim experience. A New Crossover Is Taking the Dodge Hornet Name

Friday, February 25th, 2022

The famed Dodge Hornet we reported about in earlier posts has come to light with new elements. The Alfa Romeo brand, a part of the group of brands from Stellantis, is going to see one of their vehicles function as the base for the vehicle. The Hornet nameplate, previously found on a 2006 Dodge mid-size SUV concept for a new crossover SUV, was created. The Alfa Romeo Tonale SUV, the crossover platform chosen for this Hornet ride, has had some photos shown from the manufacturer. We have witnessed the Alfa Romeo Tonale platform successfully carried over to the Dodge Hornet with changes. A rebadged creation is what we see for this new Dodge crossover that is foreseen to deliver 256 horsepower from a 2.0-Liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. This news shines a light on the all-new Dodge vehicle we learned was first demonstrated to be made about back in 2020. The production value for a new Dodge crossover would be huge.

“I’m super excited about the future of electric because I think it’s what’s going to allow us to not fall off the cliff. Without that technology, without electrification. This is 1972 right now, this thing is going to end.” said Tim Kuniskis, CEO of Dodge.

More About the Stunning 2023 Dodge Hornet

When taking a deep look into the interior of the crossover, we have seen the modifications that include a similar shape from the previous look, but we noticed some changes. The highlights are horizontal air vents, an infotainment touchscreen that looks like the Tonale, with a similar button layout. The 2006 Hornet concept is all but forgotten when comparing them both inside and out. Of course, even the Dodge CEO said a new PHEV Dodge option would arrive by 2024. We are not sure if this is the vehicle they might use, but Dodge is listed on this vehicle.

A Dodge brand name can be noticed on the red brake caliper, but the automaker has made sure to blur the lines that make the images of the vehicle a mystery. The dramatic change to the design is two new nostrils cut into the front hood with a look that draws quite a bit of attention. According to Mopar Insider, the report has said the expected production of the Dodge Hornet is set to see a production run that starts in Italy for the 2023 model year. The Dodge and Alfa Romeo brands are both adding EVs to their line-up and this crossover might be the right contender to raise the bar high with its debut. This crossover hybrid would be an instantaneous magnet for customers looking for a new vehicle. We know Dodge continues to develop changes to their vehicles, as we expect the Hornet to be no different, but it will have massive strength and world-class engineering.

Dodge Will Change the Opinion of What EVs Are By Next Year

Wednesday, February 23rd, 2022

Dodge has known the competition has grown in the last few years in the EV segment. While the Dodge brand currently doesn’t have any EV vehicles currently; this is about to change.  Many automakers have recently created some short-term noise during this month’s Super Bowl, also known as an annual A-list commercial event. Dodge is ready to pounce later this year with an electric muscle car that will be a first for the automotive industry. Some brands are trying to put a new EV vehicle out there, a common error of hoping to enrich their portfolio without making a real impactful launch. Here are some of the ways that have helped Dodge do things differently than the competition has in 2022.

Reshaping the Electric Vehicle Dynamic

Mayn EVs are simply not exciting enough to establish ownership with buyers. Dodge is setting up the timing for the release of their brand new muscle car; the first of its kind. This will help to build growth for the brand. As their focus to put together this industry first muscle EV, they knew the brand would have to have customers learn they were not removing any horsepower just for the sake of an electrified power. They are currently promoting a new marketing campaign titled “24 Months of Muscle” to hype customers up about their current lineup of V8s.

“The electrification movement, the infotainment movement, the autonomous movement — it’s getting more interesting. You look at it as a mature industry but it’s actually quite the opposite. It’s evolving more than ever. The current suite of EVs out there tend to be a little bit bland and uninspiring — great performing vehicles but not necessarily heart-pumping in the cultural or aesthetical sense. So trying to find a way to make them desirable and affordable,” said Ralph Gilles, Chief Design Officer of Stellantis

Anticipation Grows Ahead of Concept Debut

As of February 2022, the nameplate for the electric muscle car is unknown, but a Challenger or Charger nameplate is an expected choice for name recognition. Whichever comes first, we will see. Dodge sales are doing better than ever after leading all other muscle brands in 2021. Stellantis is moving all their respective brands towards an electrified push. By spring time next year the portfolio for Dodge will look vastly different than what we offer now. Dodge could offer vehicles with range extending trims, which would be an industry first as well. That’s the path fellow Stellantis brand Ram is making by giving customers a leg up on the competition. For those who know their daily drives are shorter, they might be interested to opt out of the less range effective trim offering. The details are yet to be fully revealed for the next generation of Dodge vehicles, but they are bound to renew the dominance Dodge has started this decade establishing

Dodge Finally Adds New In-Line Engine Option Over HEMI V8s

Friday, February 11th, 2022
Inline Miami Lakes Automall

Dodge is dashing ahead to gain a substantial leverage point beyond the competition. The first electric muscle car the world has ever witnessed is one way, but another action being driven is the proper approach to replace its aged HEMI V8s with a more practical and efficient all-wheel-drive, inline-six engine. Will we see these changes being made at the 2022 New York Auto Show? This could be a realistic chance, after all this is another move from the 24 Months of Muscle rollout that has started for the Dodge brand..

Dodge Returning To the Big Apple For 2022 New York Auto Show

The great return of the massive automotive event is set to enjoy a week-long run for the first time since 2019, since the days before COVID. The next action is set for a Stellantis and Dodge backing of its next powertrain. The date we are lingering for is April 15th through April 24, 2022. The next chance Dodge gets to show off the new wave of new Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger muscle cars, they will. We know the Dodge brand is revving towards a decisive push just as they did last year to produce the top-selling muscle car mark for the first time with the reborn Dodge Challenger. The famed Dodge Challenger was brought back and has enjoyed a lengthy run from 2008 now. A patent has been recorded for Stellantis. Dodge has been operating on adding these new in-line six engines as part of the five-year strategy made back in 2018. This is a report we’ve tracked for more than three years.

Dodge Customers Can’t Wait For the New EV

Dodge is creating a new EV line-up that comes with PHEV choices, notable not only for their muscle cars but new changes are coming out for fans of muscle cars to appreciate shortly. To begin 2022, the Dodge brand is bringing out new appearance packages for buyers. The HEMI Orange and SRT Black appearance package create a surprising dry jet black body color paint that has an immaculate finish. The loud look of the HEMI Orange adds orange accents outside the muscle car with full-length orange accent stripe that goes bumper to bumper. Orange stitching can be discovered on the flat-bottom steering wheel, console lid, instrument panel, across the doors and armrests, plus the shifter boot. Review the newest Dodge muscle cars that are prepared for these customers at Miami Lakes Automall.

The Dodge brand has surged ahead of rivals to finish in first place among all muscle car sales last year.

The Dodge Hellcat spec or more elevated for these Chargers, Challengers, and even the Dodge Durango SUV. Amazon was one business that gave away a Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat. This respective winner is the lone one that hasn’t been revealed yet. As for the other 25 winners, they were all revealed with their first name and the first letter of their surname only. These People Earned the Fastest Dodge Products

The winners of the Dodge SRT giveaway includes; Lorenzo P from (Nashville, TN), Blake J (Olive Branch, MS), Jamarion T (Hillside, IL), Joshua G (San Antonio, TX), Katie J (Anoka, MN), Patrick N (Pittsburgh, PA), James S (Morgantown, IN), Regan C (Tacoma, WA), Stefon G (San Diego, CA), Lizbeth M (Spokane, WA), Kaylynn P (Roseville, MI), Kjetil S (Talkeetna, AK), Isaac S (Staten Island, NY), Christopher D (Strongsville, OH), Jenn C (Wentzville, MO), Doug P (Granite City, IL), Jeremiah K (San Antonio, TX), Jeremy H (Cuero, TX), Laith K (Bentonville, AR), Raimundo L (Richmond, TX), MaKayla D (Carlisle, KY), Nate C (Austin, MN), Becky D (Tallahassee, FL), Isaiah C (Travelers Rest, SC). Intriguing to note, Dodge is still exploring for a Chief Donut Maker. Yes, that’s a real title. They are going to choose the hire sometime after February 28, 2022. Dodge Outpaces Competition Everywhere

Friday, October 22nd, 2021
EV Miami Lakes Automall

It’s almost 2022 and Dodge is preparing a significant push ahead into the limelight this month and the forthcoming year. Dodge will enable the brand to advance forward to the new EV future anticipating customers. Stellantis is evolving into its own with the report of an agreement for a joint venture opportunity with LG Energy Solution to produce new battery cells and modules made in the United States. The North American plant will grow in the automotive capital of the nation, Detroit, Michigan. The production volume is set at 40 gigawatts hours for the product. The goal is set to have ground broken in the second quarter of 2022. The production of the EV batteries is set for the beginning of 2024, precisely when Dodge is going to launch the brand’s first-ever, all-electric muscle car. The Dodge Challenger has made waves for decades in this industry, as they are managing sales over the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro, and Chevy Corvette through three quarters in 2021 total sales. The Dodge Challenger is treading forward of the Ford Mustang by almost all of 2021.

Ford and Chevrolet Know They Are Losing To Dodge

For any one that looks at the numbers, Dodge has moved ahead. The Dodge Challenger muscle car has sold exactly 44,142 vehicles a bit ahead of the Mustang’s 41,065 vehicles purchased. Not only is Dodge moving ahead of the Chevrolet Camaro as well, which only has sold 15,084 vehicles in 2021.  The Dodge brand hit a top spot on J. D. Power’s Initial Quality Study for the second-year-in-a-row. As far as the new Dodge EV, we are still not assured if the nameplate will be a Challenger, Charger, or something else remains concealed. Aside from this vehicle, the new Stellantis plant will manufacture batteries for Stellantis factories established throughout the region for EVs and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

“Today’s announcement is further proof that we are deploying our aggressive electrification road map and are following through on the commitments we made during our EV Day event,” said Stellantis CEO Carlos Tavares.

Experience the Thrill of Current Dodge Vehicles Today

Dodge is moving ahead for the customer and critics alike. Despite the onset of the future Dodge EV collection, we will nevertheless sell impressive muscle cars of today, as Dodge CEO has affirmed multiple times. We’re just sure the days of the electric muscle will grab the attention of many shoppers, but early on they might not be too keen on the product. Customers that are looking for the appropriate choice, enjoy the sound of a fierce Dodge engine that we have ready to go. While we expect for more electrified news, buy or lease with us to find the Dodge that is atop the automotive world currently and ready to move.

Dodge Hornet Is Set For 2023 Model Year And Debuts In 2022

Thursday, October 7th, 2021
Dodge Hornet Miami Lakes Automall

Well, well, well, Dodge is making the Dodge Hornet after all. We had long speculated, most recently earlier this summer in 2021 about the return of the Dodge Hornet’s famed nameplate making a comeback. Now we know more about the production coming towards the Stellantis owned Dodge brand making its latest SUV a Hornet offering. Rumors have listed the Hornet to be a crossover effort that will be the first all-new vehicle option since the 2013 Dodge Dart first made its arrival. However, small cars have become a thing of the past, especially non-electric small cars. The SUV and pickup segment is still high on gasoline powertrains and popularity for now, but this will pass as well as the entire automotive industry urgently opts for more savvy and fuel-efficient ways to drive forward.

News On the Upcoming Dodge Hornet SUV EV

The last report to come out has the Dodge Hornet to use the Alfa Romeo Tonale as the basis for the vehicle’s distinct look and feel. The arrival of the Hornet will help the brand offer a new SUV for the first time in nearly a decade. This upcoming spring we expect all the details to be shared. The Hornet will have a plug-in hybrid powertrain and offer a turbocharged 2.0-Liter inline up as the gasoline engine; two choices for customers to select from. The base trim is set to offer impressive returns, but those looking for all the bells and whistles will have to opt for the high-end Dodge products. The 2023 Dodge Hornet should arrive by late 2022 as the production is slated to go with the Alfa Romeo Tonale product. This is still reported by Mopar Insiders and not official through Dodge, but we still see the creation as a serious possibility.

Dodge Goes All-In Towards EV Creations

Dodge is ready to provide a new class of vehicles with the Dodge muscle car that is unnamed, but set for an electric vehicle trim, whether it’s the Dodge Charger or Dodge Challenger or a new entry. Consider the Dodge brand and its plans to offer a future EV for a muscle car? While this might seem like a wild idea, the brand is focused and is insisting on offering a Dodge EV trim for every vehicle at some point this decade. The goal to offer more PHEVs is growing into a fast reality for the Dodge and Stellantis automakers. Let’s just hope customers are on board with getting the cleanest, most powerful new electric vehicles set to be made in the United States soon enough.
