Dodge is a company that never stops moving. Just like the famed muscle cars that aim to move faster than any other production vehicle on the road, Dodge has made moves to still finish with good numbers despite the Coronavirus hit. For the second quarter in 2020, Dodge has new plans to help keep the positive numbers going. Dodge will change the finish of the wheels across its premium Dodge muscle cars. All 2020 Dodge SRT muscle cars will have a new option; Devils Rim aluminum wheel design in Brass Monkey finish. This finish will apply to both the Challenger and Charger models. Mopar Insiders has revealed the updated option is available as soon as Dodge begins production again. The backlog of Dodge muscle cars is a result of the Coronavirus hold on workers in factories, so production is off limits. That doesn’t mean Miami Lakes Automall has run out of volume of Dodge inventory, though! We remain committed to serving our community and helping others with their vehicle needs, from servicing to selling, and continue with appraisals online, as well as leasing and purchasing any of our vehicles.

Updates To Dodge SRT Hellcat Options

Dodge has provided the largest changes with new trim options and special packages since debuting the latest generation Dodge Charger and Challenger models. The latest entry will be the 2020 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, the first time this vehicle debuts for the Charger. The Challenger has had the Redeye model since 2018. However, minor changes have come. The latest example is changing the standard fit on the Dodge Charger and Challenger to include a 20-inch Low Gloss Black Performance wheel. Customers can choose options that add a 20-inch Machined with Granite Pocket wheel or a 20-inch Matte Vapor SRT aluminum wheel. There are different choices for the widebody trims, including a standard fit of 20-inch Carbon Black Aluminum wheels, or the choice of a 20-inch Warp Speed Granite wheel. The Warp Speed has the same design as the Matte Vapor except with a tad different finish. The 20-inch Brass Monkeys is the second option on widebody trims of the Charger Hellcat and Hellcat Redeye. The Brass Monkey is making a comeback in place of the 20-inch Matte Vapor SRT Aluminum rim and will be available on the non-widebody trims.

Dodge Updates Ongoing

For any customer using the Dodge configurator, note the online tool does not include the Brass Monkey options for the base trim Dodge Challenger and the Dodge Charger Hellcat Widebody models. Mopar Insider has said they will eventually gain the option soon for customers to select. The wider versions of the Challenger Hellcat bolt on a set of 20-inch wheels that reach 11 inches wide. The base trim Dodge muscle cars will add the Brass Monkey rims, set at 20 x 9.5 inches. The 2020 Dodge Charger Hellcat comes in only two widebody versions, which both fit the 20×11-inch Brass Monkey wheels, but the options are not listed on the Dodge configurator currently. This leaves owners with the Carbon Black Aluminum and Warp Speed Granite wheels. The optional wheels on the Challenger all cost $1,095 MSRP, the Charger’s upgrades cost $1,295 MSRP. Production for the Dodge muscle car wheels will begin again in Brampton, Ontario and Dodge will offer all-wheel choices and as well as new exterior badges with a new Black and Dark Bronze finish upon reopening. Dodge Still Sees Strong Performance Numbers In First-Quarter of 2020

The automotive industry is feeling the effects of a prolonged halt to the economy, as reflected in the first quarter of the results of 2020 that were just released. However, despite the closing of nearly every dealership in the traditional sense, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) saw growth with the Dodge Durango. The Dodge Durango grew 5% in the first quarter of 2020. With 17,805 units sold, the Durango was a popular choice for buyers nationwide. Few vehicles in any brand can report recording growth with the month of March showing slow sales growth due to COVID-19 impacting businesses and customers alike. When looking at the numbers, it’s impressive to note how Dodge still generated business and found customers looking for new vehicles.

Results of the First Quarter of 2020 For Dodge

FCA joined General Motors and Ford with announcing their success via quarterly sales reports. Up until the third quarter of 2019, FCA had released monthly sales. We’re sure the sales for April will be much lower, but there is hope for certain vehicles to prevail over the summer when dealerships around the country are expected to open fully. Dodge is one of the bright spots despite the slowdown. In fact, had March not seen slower traffic amid the rise of the Coronavirus outbreak, the Dodge Challenger and Charger models might have seen a higher sales total in the first quarter of 2020, ahead of the same quarter in 2019. Even with the shutdown, the Charger sold 18,628 vehicles and the Challenger moved 12,138 vehicles. The decrease was a mere 10% and few would believe Dodge wouldn’t have made up that difference with another three weeks of sales. That amount lost is equivalent to a quarter of the sales Dodge would have had.

The Dodge Grand Caravan is set to end its run in May 2020, so its lower than expected sales numbers brought down the Dodge brand’s overall sales numbers. We still believe the Dodge Grand Caravan is a solid option as it has been a staple of the Dodge lineup for over 30 years. We’re proud to offer a wide range of different Dodge vehicles, including nearly all the muscle cars and trims offered.

Dodge Muscle Cars Still Shine

We can show off all the reasons why Dodge muscle cars are still going strong this many years into their run. Few movies ever become successful enough to come up with a sequel, but one can’t recall any other series to spawn over nine-films plus a spin-off film except for Star Wars. This is the case with the Fast and the Furious movie franchise. Now Lego has produced a 1:13 scale replica of the famed 1970 Dodge Charger R/T from the series. This is the muscle car owned by the main character in the first half of the Fast and Furious series, Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto. The sleek, polished black 1970 Dodge Charger R/T is the latest Lego Technic kit to join the new Lego “Technic” line. The vehicle is a memorable cast-member in some respects to the Fast and the Furious film. A memorable ’70 Charger R/T from the first film of the long-running franchise.

Relevance of the Dodge Charger

The black muscle car that went head-to-head with an orange Toyota Supra, the 1970 Charger R/T, stands out for many reasons. Remember, the 2020 Dodge Charger is still available in its current form. As owners of any muscle car can tell you, owning one is one of the most memorable and happiest feelings a driver can experience. The popularity of the Fast and the Furious franchise is not stuck on just a single vehicle, but no other vehicle stands out as a way of bringing to mind the origin of the “Fast” story. Drag racing and seeing who could win, whether by an inch or a mile, winning is winning” as Toretto famously said. We know all about winning with the fresh, new line-up of Dodge Charger and Challenger muscle cars waiting for our customers.

Breaking Down the Lego Technic 1970 Charger

Fans of Lego Technic and Fast and the Furious are sure to love this replica. It’s a 1:13 scale, 1,077-piece kit that includes a replica V8 engine with actually moving pistons. The kit also provides a wheelie bar and the well-known NOS tanks that are placed in the trunk. Even more hilarious is the toy fire extinguisher is kept inside of the cabin. This replica is fun to build and show off. After being assembled, the product is an accurate depiction of the old-school Charger.

Even though the Dodge Charger vehicles of the 1970s were very popular, the Dodge brand is enjoying its greatest run currently with surging success. Lego Technic choose the right vehicle at the right time and did a solid job of bringing out the Charger design. In regards to the Dodge Lego Technic, the final product looks fantastic. The details can be spotted even all over including the iconic headlights and taillights. Any person who loves the Fast and Furious franchise will appreciate this new Lego product.

Fast and the Furious Charger Still Popular

The Fast and the Furious franchise is still gaining fans. Fans of the film, especially those with young kids, definitely would love recreating the old-school Charger R/T provided with this Lego kit that has begun taking offers and is expected to start its sale date on April 27, 2020. The next Fast and the Furious is set for a pushed back release date, however. The next movie, Fast and Furious 9, saw its original date of May 22, 2020 pushed back to next year. The ninth installment will come to theaters in April 2021. Our readers won’t have to wait that long to drive new Dodge Muscle cars. Curious to get started in that process? What the Future Dodge Muscle Car Designs Might Look Like

Dodge Miami Lakes Automall

Speculation has run rampant for years regarding what changes Dodge will make for its muscle car line-up. The Dodge Charger has not altered its design since being brought back in 2006. The same can be said for the Dodge Challenger, revived back in 2008. Dodge has found greater success with these muscle cars in 2019 than any previous year. So, why change the design if these vehicles are still selling well? Of course, all vehicles are due for an upgrade and in order to make this possible, changes must occur. The world-famous Dodge muscle coupe and sedan models are way overdue for a complete redesign. A new sketch that highlights what could happen to the look and shape of these Dodge muscle cars in the future was posted by none other than FCA design chief Ralph Gilles on social media. Gilles added that his futuristic orange body-colored design has an “experimental design of a Dodge of the future”.

Why Won’t This Image Stand As the Future Design?

While the Gilles rendering was not seen as the official future design will look different, it is impossible to know the exact future that Dodge would be going for. One thing that plenty of Dodge enthusiasts caught upon looking at the image is the addition of the yellow spiller guard. This was seen as a humorous addition by Gilles. “We had a really good laugh about it”, he wrote in his Instagram post. Gilles reiterated he does not unveil future Dodge products on social media, but has added about the on-going controversy of owners of the Dodge muscle cars who keep the notorious splitter guards on. The future Dodge Charger and Challenger muscle cars will in fact have the color pink replacing the part that is yellow on the splitter guard. The main reason owners should not keep the splitter guard on their vehicle is due to the paint that can be ruined the longer the guard stays on the vehicle. For any readers that currently still have the splitter guard, we recommend they remove it.

This Design Looks Impressive, But Is It Realistic?

The 2023 model year will showcase the new designs for both Dodge muscle cars. A futuristic design is to be expected as the vehicle will not be changing any time soon after the design is finalized. The job shown by Gilles is a wide, long muscle car with seemingly low ride height. Keep in mind, the mid-2000s Dodge muscle cars were not very futuristic upon their debut. Designers keep a strong resemblance of the Dodge muscle car design from the 1970s with a more bold design added. We can expect the upcoming Dodge Charger and Challenger final products to cater to the future and have their own bold appearance. In just a few short years, the landscape of the Dodge Challenger and Charger will look different, but expect just as much horsepower.

Dodge Is Ready To Produce Faster Vehicles

The most recent years have produced some of the fastest Dodge muscle cars yet. No other vehicle had more horsepower than the 2018 Dodge Challenger SRT Demon or the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye. Dodge is selling more muscle cars in recent years than ever before. Our readers are free to debate about how the future Dodge muscle cars will look like in the next generation, just talk to us on social media about it. We’re curious to know what our readers hope to see happen. Could there possibly be another Dodge muscle car to join the Dodge Challenger and Charger?
