Bondurant Takes SRT Drivers Back to School

Miami Lakes Bondurant Driving School SRT

Attention SRT drivers and enthusiasts! You’ve got the horsepower. Do you know how to use it?! At the Bondurant Racing School, anyone who purchased a 2015 model-year (or later) SRT vehicle after April 1, 2015 can get free driving lessons on how to master all that power under the hood. Got a Dodge Challenger SRT 392 hot off the lot? Itching to test the limits of a SRT Hellcat? The Bondurant Racing School is the official racing school of Dodge SRT, and they show drivers how to harness the true potential of a SRT vehicle.

What is the Bondurant Racing School?

Popularly known as the Bondurant Racing School of High Performance Racing, this establishment provides a one-day experience for SRT owners and enthusiasts to attend four driving modules. Each has its own objectives for the driver attending, who will actually be behind the wheel of a FCA-supplied SRT vehicle. The modules consist of: accident avoidance, maintaining control in a skid, a cone avoidance course, and of course driving on a proper race track. Attendees can also ride in with a Bondurant Racing School Instructor for some fast laps around the track.

Pennzoil’s Awesome Tribute and Farewell to the Dodge Viper

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zrehQjsz5ck

In a tribute to the production of the last few Dodge Viper models, Pennzoil created a short film and it definitely reminds us of all of the reasons why we will miss the Viper.

Speed, looks, V10 engine, and extreme handling, the Viper has it all.

The Viper is equipped with an all-aluminum 8.4-liter V10 engine and pushes out 645 horsepower and 600 lb-ft of torque. The 2016 Dodge Viper ACR accelerates from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds.  Before Dodge announced the 2017 model year would be the last for the Viper, the Viper ACR traveled around to various tracks around the country and after all was said and done, the Viper became the “ultimate street-legal race car” with more track records than any production car in the world — a total of 13 road course lap records as certified by the Sports Car Club of America. Dodge Cars Can Do More than Drive Fast

Miami Lakes Dodge Charger Ice

Dodge muscle cars and sedans – they’re fast. The Dodge Challenger and Charger will change your insurance bills just by the name alone, and that’s because they’re notorious for being driven by speed demons. That statement will ring truer than ever before once the SRT Demon comes out, but before it does, we’d like to talk about what else a Dodge vehicle can do besides go fast like Ricky Bobby ‘round the race track. How about an off-road Dodge Challenger?

Joey Ruiter’s Dodge Challenger A/T

The Dodge Challenger A/T, or “all-terrain”, is a Challenger you may never see on the streets. Why? Because it’s a post-factory vehicle, constructed and designed by product designer Joey Ruiter. He took a Dodge Challenger, it’s unclear what trim, and turned it into an off-road vehicle.

How? The modifications are more simple than one would think. Building it is the hard part. For the Dodge Challenger A/T, Ruiter added longer suspension arms for increased lift when hitting rocky terrain and body armor to protect the body of the vehicle if facing a little impact. Speaking of impact, the exhaust at the back of the car was moved to another location so it doesn’t get crushed from a rough landing, and a light bar was integrated into the lower grille for spotting large obstacles when the sun goes down.

Miami Lakes Scat Pack Dynamics Package

New Scat Pack Dynamics Package for Dodge Charger and Challenger

Miami Lakes Scat Pack Dynamics Package

The Dodge Challenger and Charger SRT Hellcat models are the most powerful muscle cars in the auto market. Both SRT Hellcat models generate 707-horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque, and they can cover a quarter mile in seconds – but all that power comes with a high price tag. For some, $60,000+ is a little too rich for performance. Now, with Dodge’s new Dynamics Package available on the Charger and Challenger Scat Pack models, high performance becomes more affordable.

Alright, so the only way to get the kind of performance an SRT vehicle provides was to get a Dodge Challenger SRT 392 or SRT Hellcat. However, not everyone can throw down that kind of cash. To smooth things over, Dodge gave muscle-car enthusiasts with a budget a winning lotto ticket when they decided to release the R/T Scat Pack and 392 HEMI Scat Pack Shaker models. The power of an SRT engine on a budget? Yes please! How could it get any better than that?

It just did. The new Dynamics Package is a much more affordable way to get some of the performance parts used on the SRT Hellcat models onto the Scat Pack models.
