
When you think about a record-breaking car, your mind probably wanders to supercars like the Bugatti Veyron, Ferrari LaFerrari, or McLaren P1. But while the exotic European masters are busy trying to make another limited production car for the super rich, Dodge has been busy creating one of the best track cars ever released: the 2016 Dodge Viper ACR.
Since November 2014, the upcoming Viper has set 13 production car track records across the U.S.
“The [Sports Car Club of America] has certified that the new 2016 Dodge Viper ACR holds more track records than any other production car in the world,” Tim Kuniskis, Fiat-Chrysler’s Head of Passenger Car Brands, said about the amazing feat. “We expected our new Viper ACR to be the fastest street-legal Viper track car ever. Now we know without a doubt that it is.”
Being the best, though, you think it would come with a hefty price tag. But the 2016 Viper ACR is actually at the low end of the supercar price scale. At only $118,795 MSRP, it’s a bargain for buyers at Dodge dealers in Miami who are looking for the highest performing track car.
