Stellantis Vehicles Get Major Props From Hispanic Motor Press

The multinational automaker, Stellantis recently got some major brownie points during the 11th annual Hispanic Motor Press Awards (HMPA) at the AutoMobility LA Virtual Media Day with the Motor Press Guild (MPG) in Los Angeles.

The 2021 Dodge Challenger, which is considered to be the quickest and most thunderous muscle car, was awarded Sports Car of the Year. In 2015, the automaker’s Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat also received these accolades.

“The Challenger SRT still embodies the spirit of the original 1970s car,” said Ricardo Rodríguez-Long, president and founder of the Hispanic Motor Press Foundation. “The Dodge Challenger, in all its V-8 forms, is the best current example of what a true American sports car is about. The most powerful and fastest machine at the lights, pressing the throttle pedal to the floor is a unique experience. Just add a white T-shirt, jeans and you will be ‘cool’ from central Michigan to Pomona.”

America’s favorite minivan, the 2021 Chrysler Pacifica, became the first vehicle in its segment to offer both gas and hybrid powertrains. These efforts were proved to not be in vain, as it received the Family Car of the Year, which was also won by 2018 by the gasoline engine and 2017 by the hybrid.

“Hispanic families need spacious accommodations and the Pacifica offers that in style and with many tech amenities,” said Rodríguez-Long. “We found it to be very smooth on the road and capable around traffic and long trips. Being a former winner, it shows that Chrysler really understands what families need when transporting their family.”

Since its debut, the 2021 Ram 1500 TRX has also been named Adventure Car of the Year.

“Today, we are living a much more active lifestyle, which includes weekends,” said Rodríguez-Long. “The Ram TRX is capable of taking you to unusual locations to experience the outdoors in a very different way. Before, you had to endure the trip to enjoy a particular place. Now the experience is getting there with over 700 horses galloping under your control. Without doubt that becomes an adventure in itself.”

Over 20 automotive experts at the foundation were there to determine the top 10 best new vehicles for Hispanic families. The panel selected one model from each category that exhibits the best value in the market for its particular clientele. Worthiness was established based on design, driving satisfaction, technology, safety, environmental impact, mechanical reliability, and value.

2021 Dodge Challenger

The record-breaking Dodge Challenger SRT Demon will continue to be a limited-production model for a year. The Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, which was an influence of the SRT Demon, is the guiding light of the Challenger lineup, outpacing its rivals in the traditional horsepower bloodsheds.

2021 Chrysler Pacifica

The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica continues to set the standard for minivans by offering the most standard features of any of its class, as well as being the pioneer of offering both gas and hybrid powertrains. Then, with its top-tier Pinnacle trim, it has unmatchable features, a new FamCAM interior camera, wireless charging, next-generation Uconnect5 connectivity, a sporty design, and plenty of comforts that everyone can enjoy.

2021 Ram 1500

The 2021 Ram 1500 is a no-nonsense truck when it comes to stability, technology, effectiveness, performance and convenience, also encompassing features that are unique to this pickup. The pick-up compromises up to 12,750 pounds of towing capability and 2,300 pounds of payload. The eTorque mild hybrid system has advanced in its fuel efficiency for its standard V-6 engine, as well as its V-8. Additionally, the diesel variant is unmatched with 33 mpg on the highway, providing up to 1,000 miles of range on just a single tank of fuel.

2021 Chrysler Pacifica vs 2021 Toyota Sienna

Since its reintroduction in 2016, the Chrysler Pacifica has become one of the most, if not the most beloved minivan on the market. Credited with having the most standard interior features and highlighting Stow’ n Go seating, as well as a unique all-wheel-drive system, the Pacifica is the perfect all-in-one vehicle for families.

However, with any good car model, there’s tough competition and for the 2021 Pacifica, this rival is undoubtedly the Toyota Sienna. This van shows that it means business, as it has recently added a hybrid powertrain and already has a four-wheel-drive system. Let’s see how they stack up for 2021.

The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica helped break the cycle of previously unflattering station wagons and into an incredible renaissance for its segment. The Pinnacle model stands out in a good way thanks to its larger grille and restyled taillights, both of which can nearly trick a person into thinking that it’s a crossover. Adding the 20-inch wheels along to the incredibly sleek and contoured van will make anyone jealous in the carpool line.

The latest Sienna isn’t too shabby itself with modern touches like its swanky taillights and incredibly large grille. From the profile, it’s a bit more obvious that it’s a minivan than the Pacifica, especially with its big, sliding doors and miniature wheels, but if you pick the right color, like Sunset Bronze, it pulls everything together.

Inhouse, Chrysler doesn’t disappoint. Once again, the Pinnacle model is the most regal, especially when highlighted with its Nappa leather seats and black suede roof. To top it off, there is a set of matching throw pillows for the second-row captain’s chairs that are both chic and comfortable. Contrasting with Sienna, it gains some brownie points with its intricate detail on its dashboard and plastic trim pieces resembling wood. However, the Pacifica still adds that needed level of sophistication.

Fuel Economy

Chrysler was previously the top-dog for its engine quality due to its plug-in hybrid version, which of course allows for improved fuel efficiency than its gasoline versions. However, with the 2021 Sienna, buyers are guaranteed both an all-wheel-drive and a hybrid system, at its standard. This results in a fuel economy of 36 city/ 36 highway as opposed to the regular Pacifica’s 19 city/ 28 highway. Even if you were to get the Pacifica’s Hybrid model, it would still reach just under Toyota’s numbers.

The Sienna gets its energy from a 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine that musters up a respectable 189 horsepower with 176 lb-ft of torque, and thanks to a little electrified assistance, that number makes a dramatic boost to 245 horsepower. The hybrid doesn’t struggle when cruising through traffic and fair well when passing, however, the continuously variable transmission (CVT) makes the drive feel like it’s missing something.

The Pacifica picks up some speed with its traditional 3.6-liter V6 engine, which drives on 287 horsepower with lb-ft of torque. It’s Hybrid, still keeps things fresh, as it has an output of 260 horsepower. The 9-speed automatic transmission also adds an exciting pick-me-up to the van and fairs better in its movements.

When comparing their top-tier models, both vans bring their A-game when it comes to features. Equipped with goodies like high-quality sound systems, advanced navigation, automated tailgates, and power-operated rear sliding doors quickly stuns with its wow factor.

Both vans also share their consideration for middle-row occupants when it comes to entertainment. The Sienna provides a large single screen that folds down from the ceiling, but may also serve as a blocking point for the driver. The Pacifica’s screens have been strategically placed behind the two front seats, and allows two separate screens for both passengers, as well as built-in video games for the kiddos.

Although Toyota’s minivan is quite plentiful in its features, it still scratches the surface when compared to Chrysler’s.

While the Pacifica is certainly impressive in its amenities, the Sienna does bring home the bacon when safety is concerned. Its laundry list of safety features such as lane-keeping assist and lane-departure alert, automated braking with both pedestrian and cyclist detection, and adaptive cruise control (that even works off the highway). Automatic high-beam control is also standard with the van’s headlights. The car has even received a Top Safety Pick+ award from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS).

The Pacifica certainly doesn’t skim when it comes to its safety features, however, the only ones that are worth getting excited about require spending a little extra doe on its high-ranking Pinnacle model.

The 2021 Pacifica or 2021 Sienna?

The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica and the 2021 Toyota Sienna outrank the competition easily with their dynamic engines, high-quality features, and eye-catching design. However, the Pacifica still takes the cake with its intricate packaging, strategic design, and better overall user-friendliness.

Fiat Chrysler and Archer Partner Up To Create A Vertical “Flying Car”

Fiat Chrysler and Archer Soar In Their Innovation Pursuits

In order to cut the cost of their electric “flying car,” Minivan-God” a.k.a Chrysler, is joining forces with air mobility company Archer. The automaker’s latest novel venture is better known as an eVTOL aircraft, which has the ability to take off and land vertically.

This agreement involves the Archer company getting access to Fiat Chrysler’s supply chain, high-grade composite material powers, engineering, and craftsmanship experience. So far, the duo has refused to release the financial impact of this alliance.

This aircraft is unlike regular helicopters or jets, which use a massive spinning rotor, as this Jetson car will use electric motors to activate rotating wings or smaller rotors. Since this setup will enable vertical takeoffs and landings, it can easily be compared to a drone…but far more advanced. Overall, the aircraft is intended to be used as air taxis, with the hopes of relieving road congestion.

According to Morgan Stanley, an investment banking company, the market for urban aircrafts could be worth as much as $1.5 trillion by the year 2040.

“Electrification within the transportation sector whether on roads or in the air is the future and with any new and rapidly developing technology, scale is important,” Doug Ostermann, Fiat Chrysler’s head of global business development, said in a statement. “Our partnership with Archer has mutual benefits and will enable innovative, environmentally friendly transportation solutions to be brought to market at an accelerated pace.”

The drone-like aircraft is aimed to carry those on board for 60 miles and at speed to 150 mph, also keeping noise at a minimum. Archer’s airship may be considered quite revolutionary since it’s figured to be the first manned-aircraft with a pilot. The unveiling of the avion, as well as its demonstration, is set for later this year. Following this will be an FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) certification by 2024, as claimed by the company’s co-founders and co-CEOs Brett Adcock and Adam Goldstein.

“For us, it’s a monumental point in time where we get to partner with a global powerhouse company that enables us to mass manufacture. It really enables us and gives us a lot of the credibility also that we need to be one of the major players in this space,” Goldstein told CNBC.  “We’re super excited about the relationship.”

Marc Lore, Walmart’s e-commerce chief and founder of the e-commerce company,, is Archer’s largest investor. Adcock and Goldstein, have also gotten in on the action, as they’ve built-up and sold an online recruiting marketplace for a bit over $100 million in 2018. In addition to this, Archer has funding from a number of others who have not been revealed.

“As we think about this business for us, in order to achieve real scale, we have to manufacture our aircraft like the autos manufacture cars today,” Adcock said, referring to safety, mass manufacturing, and other similar attributes.

It’s worth noting that this venture is not a first for an automaker, as Hyundai announced plans to develop electric air taxis with Uber. Other companies like Joby and Wisk (supported by Boeing) have already established themselves. However, if Chrysler is as innovative as they are with their game-changing Pacifica minivan, then we are confident that they will be leading the pack.

Chrysler 300, Dodge Models are Here to Stay for a Few More Years

In 2014, Italian and American automakers, Fiat and Chrysler joined forces and their merging ultimately led to them becoming the 8th largest automotive company worldwide. Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) now has a multitude of brands underneath its umbrella and for FCA US, those brands include Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram, and even the Mopar service and parts organization.

Three beloved models from two of Fiat’s brands are making headlines this week after it was announced that they’re probably staying in the automotive market. The Dodge Charger, Challenger, and Chrysler 300 will likely continue their road trippin’ adventures with us until at least 2024. In spite of numerous rumors of upcoming Dodge cars for the next-generation, it appears that the multinational company wants to keep the production of the vehicles at the main assembly plant in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

News of the extended lifespan of these models came to light with the new three-year labor agreement of Canadian auto union Unifor and FCA. This labor agreement encompasses an investment worth up to $38 million on FCA’s part, with their role being to bring “multiple derivatives” of the Charger and Challenger to life at the Brampton plant. All things considered, this investment isn’t considered to be a large one, as FCA established $1.2 billion separately in Canada, therefore this is the reason why any significant changes are considered to be a few more years away. The automaker refused to comment further in regards to the “derivatives” mentioned by the union.

Chit-chat concerning the future of the next-generation Charger and Challenger have whirled starting towards the end of the previous decade. There were some indications that seemed to signal a restyling of the muscle cars on Alfa’s Romeo’s Giorgio platform, which supports the Giulia sedan. Then, it appeared that a Maserati platform could be in the works. Soon before the late FCA CEO Sergio Marchionne’s passing two years ago, he said the cars could continue on their present LX platform with dealings involving Daimler. On the other hand, he also hinted the platforms would be thoroughly overhauled. Presently, it is not known what FCA is planning for the cars, and who knows if plans will change again with the merging of France’s PSA Group next year.

If there is anything that we can be sure of, these cars will be here to stay for the next few years with a new agreement taking place and money being invested in their assembly plant.

Miami Lakes Chrysler

For luxury models, the Chrysler 300 sedan is undoubtedly the brand’s most favored vehicle. This muscle car has everything to offer such as an interior that a great deal of legroom and comfort, user-friendly technologies, timeless styling, and of course its infamous V8 powerhouse engine option. The Hemi V8 has 363 horsepower and 394 lb-ft of torque. For a ride that is absolutely thrilling, it’s recommended to combine the available engine with all-wheel-drive.

Miami Lakes Automall is selling the 2020 Chrysler 300 for around $30,000, (plus destination fee). Those who are interested in this vehicle or any of our other vehicles can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

FCA and Waymo Expand Their Alliance As Their Efforts With Autonomous Technology Increase

Today (July 22), Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) and autonomous driving company, Waymo announced that they have made strategic and fundamental steps in the expansion of their thriving partnership.

At this time, Waymo will work mainly with FCA as its endeared partner in crime for the development and testing of class 1-3 light fleet vehicles. At first, the dynamic duo will focus on the incorporation of the Waymo Driver into the Ram ProMaster van, which is a technology platform that allows one access to a wide range of commercial customers on a global scale. This collaboration will make way for FCA and Waymo to take advantage of their particular strengths and capabilities to conclude how to successfully use autonomy to tackle the express needs of commercial customers, especially due to the swift expansion of product delivery services.

Additionally, FCA has chosen the Waymo company as its select, advised partner for L4 autonomous technology across its fleet models. In fact, FCA has already begun to work with Waymo to construct future products for their vehicles, which will be operated by the Waymo Driver.

“Our now four-year partnership with Waymo continues to break new ground. By incorporating the Waymo Driver, the world’s leading self-driving technology, into our Pacifica minivans, we became the only partnership actually deploying fully autonomous technology in the real world, on public roads. With this next step, deepening our relationship with the very best technology partner in this space, we’re turning to the needs of our commercial customers by jointly enabling self-driving for light commercial vehicles, starting with the Ram ProMaster,” said Mike Manley, Chief Executive Officer, FCA. “Adding Waymo’s commitment to partner with us to deploy its L4 fully autonomous technology across our entire product portfolio, our partnership is setting the pace for the safe and sustainable mobility solutions that will help define the automotive world in the years and decades to come.”

“FCA was our first OEM partner and we’ve come a long way together,” said John Krafcik, Chief Executive Officer, Waymo. “The Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivans were the first vehicles in our Waymo One fleet and, guided by the Waymo Driver, have now safely and reliably driven more fully autonomous miles than any other vehicle on the planet. Today, we’re expanding our partnership with FCA with the Waymo Driver as the exclusive L4 autonomy solution for this global automotive company. Together, we’ll introduce the Waymo Driver throughout the FCA brand portfolio, opening up new frontiers for ride-hailing, commercial delivery and personal-use vehicles around the world.”

In 2016, FCA became Waymo’s first OEM (original equipment manufacturer) partner, ensuingly, the two have stayed pretty close as they worked on fusing the Waymo Driver into FCA vehicles.  Their hard work has proven to pay off, since the creation of a highly-effective L4-equipped Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid minivan. This union also resulted in the first commercial autonomous ride-hailing service, as well as the offering of fully driverless service to riders, which made its way driving in several cities from various locations and difficult weather conditions.

2020 Chrysler 300 Highlights

Chrysler 300 New Marvels

The Chrysler is often known for its award-winning family-friendly features in its Pacifica minivans, but one shouldn’t overlook its full-size luxury sedan, the Chrysler 300. This particular model has been around through different generations and variants since 2005 and in spite of what previous reports that this ol’ crooner is putting in for its retirement, guess again!

Slowly but surely, Chrysler is still adding on new features, both design-wise and technological. For starters, the company added three new colors for the car’s athletic body, which are Canyon Sunset, Frostbite, and Amethyst. Moreover, our blog reported in March that Chrysler is adding on a Red S Appearance Package, in which owners would be offered new colors, prices, and package options. Notably, the accessories have darkened bits from the Sport Appearance Pack, which even makes way for a truly remarkable Red Radar interior, though of course with an additional cost. According to Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) “the 300 lineup offers segment-exclusive features and advanced technology at the driver’s fingertips.”

Moving on to the 300’s slew of premier tech features, the large sedan encompasses the highlighting Uconnect 4C infotainment system. It features an 8.4-inch touchscreen display, the largest in the division. It also includes standard Android Auto and Apple CarPlay abilities.

Other standard features of this year’s Chrysler 300 model include an 8-speed TorqueFlite transmission, which is available throughout all trims. Shoppers can select all-wheel-drive powertrains supplied with added front-axle disconnect, as well as a V8 engine as an upgrade. This powerful V8 engine boosts 383 horsepower with 394 lb-ft of torque, providing an energetic ride of a lifetime.

Unfortunately, “America’s big and bold sedan” skims out the more capable 5.7-liter HEMI engine that is typically made ready as an optional engine for the 300 from coast to coast, except of course if you’re lucky enough to live in the U.S. However, one shouldn’t fret too much if the HEMI engine isn’t available to them, as the 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 is standard and very capable with 292 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. Another plus is the unbeatable 19 city/30 highway fuel economy that makes the Chrysler 300 the one to beat!

Here The Latest Features To Look Out For:

  • The Red S Appearance Package, which includes 20-inch Black Noise wheels, a Red insert located on the Chrysler wing badge, and Black Noise exterior badges.
  • A wild mixture of over 80 safety and defense features like Rear Cross Path detection, Blind-Spot Monitoring, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist and more.

Other newborn additions in the Chrysler sedan include the SRT Performance Appearance Package. This optional package adds on a performance-aimed front fascia and new side sills for a sexy wicked twist. It also includes LED fog lights for an added cost of $695, which can be offered on the 2019 300C trim. Despite the package being established on other SRT goodies, the 300 lineup will not include the 6.4-liter HEMI V8 engine. With many automotive critics discounting the Chrysler 300, we can see why the company is making great strides to deck out the vehicle’s overall design and capabilities. For now, we’ll have to wait and see if the Chrysler 300 can truly stand the test of time.

Miami Lakes Chrysler

In the meantime, Miami Lakes Automall is currently selling the full-sized 300 hunk for a price of around $40,000, (plus destination fee). We also sell plenty of high-quality cars similar to that of Chrysler’s cherished sedan and always for an affordable price. Those who are interested in any of our models can visit our online new car inventory on our dealership website and chat with an online representative for further assistance.

The 2021 Chrysler Pacifica’s User-Friendly UConnect 5 System Is The Best Yet

For a long time, SUVs and minivans have encompassed a trend of turning their vehicle interior’s into a sort of home away from home, and not just with their chic designs and comforts but their advanced technology. Chrysler is perhaps one of the most notable brands to adopt this trend, particularly in its Pacifica models, and year after year it wins accolades and awards for being a vehicle that is very suitable for families.

Just when it seems like Chrysler has reached its peak, the company introduces its new center infotainment screen on its 2021 Pacifica minivan. Its enhancements show that it intends to evolve with the times, as it has features that are compatible with mobile devices.

Fiat Chrysler statistics state that 51 percent of buyers of new cars specify interior-tech as one of their determinants.  Bearing in mind buyers who are cultured with different types of technology, the number is likely even greater, as 64 percent of rerun buyers claim the interior technology made them want to come back.

Car reviewers and even some automakers frequently make the assumption that when car buyers say that they prioritize interior technology that this means including a lot of gaudy features in the center console with entertainment features and other conveniences, while that can certainly be a plus, what most buyers really mean by value is a system that is user-friendly and not this flashy and complicated system they have to work with while trying to maintain control on the highway. Those who opt for a Chrysler vehicle will have hit the jackpot based on their tech needs since the company’s UConnect system is often favored for its ease of use.

The newest UConnect is 5 times faster than the previous generation. This takes care of the issues of earlier systems, as it would take a few seconds too long after the driver pressed a button, which really doesn’t help the issue of short attention spans during the digital age and can also prove to be very dangerous. For the first time, the system also includes wireless connectivity with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Another improvement of the UConnect 5 includes bigger fonts and buttons. As great as it is for automakers to add more features, it becomes more of an inconvenience if they start jamming all of these features in places where they cannot be located easily. Chrysler’s designer made sure that this doesn’t happen for next year’s model by making certain configurations that make buttons easy to spot by drivers, this is especially important since many studies have shown that drivers taking their eyes off the road even for a few seconds can increase the chances of a crash dramatically.

The latest UConnect still has some familiarities that aids in accommodating all of the main features while reducing the number of digital knobs on one screen, like having more than one monitor to work with. Ultimately drivers can simply configure their most practiced functions onto the home screen, as well as other drivers in the household. The new Pacifica will also receive a bigger 10.1-inch, horizontal center screen.

Another first for the new UConnect is the ability for the car to collaborate with Smarthome features in the driver’s house like the thermostat or garage door opener. This system provides even more versatility now that it’s Android-based, which means owners will have possible admission to the largest third-party apps in the world.

While we are waiting for the 2021 Pacifica to be released, there is still another option. The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica provides comfort and ease for both drivers and passengers alike. Miami Lakes Automall has a plethora of different Chrysler models to meet and your families needs, feel free to check out our new online car inventory and chat with an online representative for more assistance.

Fiat Chrysler Gains Another Autonomous Partnership, This Time With Udacity

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), a.k.a The Godfather of Minivans, has consented to provide vehicles made particularly for Voyage Auto Inc, an autonomous automobile startup company, whose self-driving or “robotaxis” have been transporting senior citizens around a retirement section in San Jose.

The Voyage tech company that is currently established in Palo Alto, California, is a spinoff from the for-profit online educational organization, Udacity. The company has been making use of the altered Chrysler Pacifica minivans, more specifically that of the Pacifica Hybrid. These new converted variants have been precisely designed for autonomous driving and include new modifications such as redundant braking and steering that are necessary for driverless vehicles.

“Building a self-driving car requires a deep connection between software and hardware, and both pieces need to be considered in tandem,” Voyage CEO Oliver Cameron wrote in a blog about the deal. “This partnership connects Voyage’s self-driving technology with FCA’s deep expertise in building vehicles to launch truly driverless transportation services.”

This partnership is the most recent in a series that the Fiat company has made with autonomous startups like Alphabet Inc’s vehicles from Waymo, which provides custom-made Chrysler Pacifica models. The automaker is also pairing up with Pala Alto-established Aurora Innovation Inc, which is developing autonomous vehicles.

Last month in April, Voyage was granted a permit to shuttle passengers around California in its vehicles, also pairing up with autonomous companies like Aurora Innovation, AutoX Technologies, Cruise Automation,, Zoox and Waymo, which have all been given permission to provide rides around particular areas.

It has been alleged that those who reside in San Jose’s Villages senior community requested rides past its border limits at that particular time. Originally, Voyage started to charge for its shuttle services in the area, but that was before the COVID-19 pandemic came into fruition, and the company was forced to temporarily suspend its services. The company has also tried applying for a transportation charter permit, which is prescribed for limousines, buses and other third-party charters services.

In total, Voyage has raised roughly $51 million in backing from investors like Franklin Templeton Investments, InMotion Ventures, MS&AD Ventures, Chevron Technology Ventures and Khosla Ventures.

Miami Lakes Chrysler

It’s currently unknown as to when Udacity or other autonomous shuttle services will be able to provide their business in other and more heavily populated areas, but while you’re waiting on the future, why not look at the present with the 2020 Chrysler Pacifica minivan!

This vehicle has a 3.6-liter V6 engine matched to a 9-speed automatic transmission, it has  287 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque. The base Touring model comes with standard features like power liftgate, power sliding side doors, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, tri-zone climate control and a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.

The 2020 Pacifica also has plenty of optional features with the Advanced Safety Tech Group being the highlight, as it comes with active safety and driver-assistance features like collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, parallel-parking assist, bird’s-eye rearview camera and more for $995.

FCA and Chrysler Expand Their Partnership With No Kid Hungry

Why FCA Is Expanding Their No Kid Hungry Partnership

Recently in mid-March, as a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) decided to pay it forward by expanding its union with No Kid Hungry, a national campaign that is dedicated to ending child hunger in America. The FCA’s partnership with the organization would help to provide more than 1 million meals to children who rely on school meals, sometimes as their only means of getting wholesome food.

“There has never been a more important moment to help children and their families,” said Mark Stewart, Chief Operating Officer of FCA – North America. “FCA and the Chrysler brand are pleased to support No Kid Hungry in its mission to end childhood hunger.”

Slowly but surely the plan is being set in motion to No Kid Hungry’s recipients: schools, food banks and community groups across the nation are being supported with 640,000 meals during temporary school shutdowns, in which FCA’s partnership is instrumental.

Ever since the nationwide closing of schools in the midst of the pandemic, a considerable number of susceptible children are at risk of losing the healthful meals that they rely on, but thankfully, No Kid Hungry has plans on how to go about feeding them. As part of its relief efforts, the organization is giving emergency grants to schools, food banks and community groups nationwide. It will also veer staff and its resources to the communities in which this problem has taken the worst toll.

“We are incredibly grateful to FCA and to the Chrysler brand for stepping up even more so for America’s kids,” said Tom Nelson, President and CEO at Share Our Strength, the organization behind the No Kid Hungry campaign. “This incremental support will help us feed more vulnerable kids who are currently missing the school meals they rely on.”

Along with FCA’s national collaboration with No Kid Hungry, the family-friendly automobile company is working with more than 40 local nonprofit organizations that are also giving meals to children in communities around its primary manufacturing plants in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan and Ohio. Comparable programs are afoot in Canada and Mexico.

What You Can Do To Help

Additionally, Chrysler supplements these endeavors by working with families by easing their financial burden through Chrysler Pacifica Family Pricing.  Family Pricing eliminates the need for negotiating when buying a vehicle by allowing all customers the same remarkable discount.

If you were already looking for a family-friendly vehicle, a Chrysler Pacifica model is undoubtedly the best one on the market and with the company’s collaboration with No Kid Hungry, there is no time better than right now.

The 2020 Chrysler Pacifica and 2020 Pacifica Hybrid provide comfort and ease for both drivers and passengers alike. It also comes with advanced tech features like power liftgate, power sliding side doors, 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, tri-zone climate control and a 7-inch touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity for the Touring and an 8.4-inch touch screen and a digital instrument cluster for the Hybrid.

Chrysler 300 Ups Its Game With New Package Options

Fiat Chrysler aims to keep its 300 model in the limelight by providing new color, price and package options. Since sales for this Chrysler vehicle have bottomed out at 29,213 U.S. deliveries in the last year, some critics are saying that its time to put the model into retirement. In spite of this, Chrysler is sending a message that there’s still some fight left in the ol’roaster and apparently thinks that its disappointing loss isn’t a good enough reason for the automaker to abolish the age-old tradition of trying to entice a few more customers with new upholstery and different badging styles; both of which will be available for purchase this year, along with the required paint updates.

Chrysler’s sedan also sees price increases nearly widespread. Some will barely notice the difference in most rear-drive trims, while all-wheel-drive models add on an additional $250-370 against last year’s pricing.

For those looking for the biggest discounts, it may help in trying to find holdovers from the 2019 model year.

It was reported by Mopar Insiders about Chrysler’s new Sport Appearance Package, and since then, it has emerged on the brand’s website for an added $1,495. It includes the black 300S grille, 20×8-inch Black Noise Aluminum Wheels black headlamp bezels, darker badging and some black intensification on the exterior. If you don’t like black, there is a similarly priced chrome appearance package that is the polar opposite.

Furthermore, the 300 model is supposed to get a Red S Appearance Package that accessorizes with all the darkened bits from the Sport Appearance Pack (with a red insert on the Chrysler logo) and makes way for an exceptional Red Radar interior. It has not yet been established on Chrysler’s website yet, which indicates that the company may be saving it for later in the year when the rest of the new paint colors are released.

The color Frostbite, which is already offered on Dodge’s Challenger and Charger, has been included in the 300’s central lineup of colors for this year. It is an attractive, teal Sapphire type of shade, which is available now, but it doesn’t come at a premium. It will be succeeded by colors (later in availability) Amethyst and Canyon Sunset, which both aid in giving the model a paint listing that brings the nostalgia of the late 1990s. Maximum Steel and Ceramic Metallic will both be done away for this year, but you can still get the 300 in Silver Mist and Granite Crystal Metallic. According to Mopar Insiders, the new red interior will be congruent with all paint options with the exception of Frostbite and cost has an added price of $300.

Surprisingly, the FCA has already shown photos of the new content, so now it’s certain its in the works. If you’re set on getting the Red S Appearance Package you should check with your dealer. The price for the 2020 Chrysler model has a starting price of $29,590, (plus destination fee) with the finest-trimmed 300 C entering at $41,995 (not including options).
