Minivans (until recently) have gotten a bad rap. People think they are only the “soccer mom” vehicle with no style. However, that is no longer the case! Over the last decade Chrysler has been killin’ the minivan game. Don’t believe us? The facts below will make you want a minivan no matter who you are (mom, dad, teen, and the list goes on).
- Chrysler’s long-standing success – Sure, there are other minivans past and present from brands other than Chrysler. The Honda Odyssey, Nissan Quest, Kia Sedona and the list goes on. However, for years now, even with the Chrysler Town & Country, Chrysler has run the minivan world. Chrysler’s minivans are always above average when it comes to style, tech and safety and are always affordable.
- Safety – Minivans in general are safer than a SUV, sedan or other “family-friendly” vehicle. Think about it, they are built for families, and with families safety is always a top priority. In fact, the Chrysler Pacifica has over 100 safety features both standard and available to protect your family.
When searching for a new vehicle what is your first step? For most people it is research! When researching the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid, you will find plenty of amazing reviews. One of our favorite recent reviews was written by Aaron Turpen from New Atlas. Aaron refers to the Pacifica Hybrid as “plug-in goodness for the whole family.”
Keep in mind this minivan is not only responsible for changing the game and making “minivans great again,” but it is literally the only hybrid minivan on the market. How awesome would it be to have a capable, child friendly, safe and spacious van that is also the most eco-friendly minivan on the streets? The review is pretty lengthy and really in depth. However, there are some main points we would like to reiterate!
- The 3.6-liter V6 engine paired with dual electric motors, a electronically variable transmission and 16 kWh battery provides plenty of power to the hybrid. In fact, the vehicle is able to produce up to 260 horsepower.
FCA (Fiat-Chrysler Automobile) brands seem to be jumping on the electric and hybrid car game recently! The reason for this is the consumer’s growing need for environmentally friendly vehicles. Diesels have always been the option many chose over gas as it is more fuel efficient than gas. However, this shift is changing now that the popularity of electric and hybrid vehicles has taken off.
Hybrid and electric vehicles are no doubt better for this environment than gas or diesel. With that being said, FCA is aiming to please! Their first go around with electric vehicles started with the Fiat 500e Electric Car. Then of course came recently the Chrysler Pacifica Hybrid.
The Pacifica was already the most talked about minivan, and with the hybrid drivetrain it is unbeatable. Infact, there is no other hybrid minivan on the market. This incredible hybrid comes with a 3.6-liter V6 engine (same as the gas model), but is paired with dual electric motors and a 16 kWh 360 V lithium-ion battery. Together this combination allows for 84 MPGe, over 500 miles between gas fill ups, and 33 miles of pure electric range. Read the rest of this entry
