If there’s one vehicle that can do it all, the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica can make a case for being it.” – Kelley Blue Book
It doesn’t come as a surprise that the Chrysler Pacifica is on Kelley Blue Book’s list of “12 Best Family Cars.” The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica has been a huge hit since it was introduced last year, and its popularity continues to grow with the recent release of the hybrid option. The Chrysler Pacifica changed the minivan game.
Reasons why the Chrysler Pacifica is the best family car:
– Both of the Pacifica’s powertrain options are above and beyond what consumers expect for a minivan. The 3.6-liter engine option is paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that make the vehicle powerful yet fuel efficient, especially when considering the vehicle is a minivan. The V6 engine is able to produce 287 horsepower, 262 lb-ft of torque, and gets 19 city mpg and an impressive 28 highway mpg.
– The other powertrain option is available on the Pacifica Hybrid. This engine is a modified 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 engine paired with a 16 kWh 360 V lithium-ion battery and dual electric motors. This engine and battery combination helps the vehicle achieve a city/highway combined average of 84 MPGe (miles per gallon equivalent), and a total range of 570 miles. When only powered by a battery, the vehicle can travel up to 33 miles. Read the rest of this entry
