For those interested in full-size SUVs, few stack up like the all-new 2021 Chevrolet Suburban. Among the options for this all-new model of the Suburban comes the Z71 trim. The rise of full-size off-road-ready vehicles in the SUV segment is the latest trend for customers. The all-new Suburban Z71 puts an end to the conversation for the greatest vehicle of this booming trend. For those who have wanted a vehicle that can seat eight guests and still handle the rigors of off-roading, there are few vehicles like the 2021 Chevy Tahoe Z71. What does this Chevy SUV provide that is unlike any other full-size large SUV? It’s one of the big boys on the road that provides more than most vehicles can. Luxurious and space with tons of options for owners, let us explain how Chevy has pulled out all the stops.

Nothing Like A Suburban Z71

Chevrolet wanted to provide customers who opt for the Suburban with multiple strong V8 options. The high-end Z71 is built with the ability to take the roads less traveled. Friendly approach and departure angles for those that want to enjoy its 4×4 aspects were added along with its impressive power, this is a vehicle that is built for extreme travels. Complete with BF Goodrich all-terrain tires, the Suburban Z71 is ready to go where an owner wants to take it.

Regarding engines, the Suburban Z71 comes with the option of a 5.3-Liter V8 and the robust 6.2-Liter HEMI V8. A 10-speed automatic transmission and two-speed transfer case are standard, as is Hill Descent Control, this feature is not available for the lower LT trim. Rounding out the Z71 trim are front and rear tow hooks, trim-specific styling that includes a unique grille and a host of special badging.

More Spacious Than Ever Before

Keep in mind, the 2021 Suburban’s interior cargo space has increased by an impressive 19 percent just from last year, while total length has increased by just over one percent. Much of that can be attributed to the model’s new independent rear suspension, which is perhaps the single largest upgrade in GM’s family of new SUVs—from the Tahoe and Suburban to GMC’s Yukon range and the Cadillac Escalade. similar in style to its Chevy Tahoe cousin. That’s not to say the Tahoe is a similar perse. The Suburban Z71 holds a wheelbase that’s nearly 14 inches longer. Not to mention, there’s more space for guests in the Z71 compared to the Tahoe with its additional 16 cubic feet of additional cargo space behind the third row. For those looking to drive the upcoming, all-new 2021 Suburban Z71, it will have a starting price of $63,195 MSRP (Plus destination fee).

Interior Perks For the Whole Family

New 2021 Corvette C8 Rumors A Full-Go

Friday, April 10th, 2020

The newest details are coming out about the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette C8. A General Motors document was leaked containing information that shows a list of items. The expected changes for the second model year of the eighth-generation Corvette, named the C8, include some surprises. Among the new changes, Magnetic Selective Ride Control is set to become a standalone option for drivers. A delayed production start during the initial model year for the first-ever mid-engine Corvette also saw a slowdown no thanks to the Coronavirus pandemic. General Motors had to cease all production at its Bowling Green factory just when demand had reached its highest point. As of now, buyers can no longer order a 2020MY Corvette, so the focus has now shifted to orders for the 2021 Corvette C8.

Good News For Those Who Held Out

From the looks of the leaked document, the 2021 Corvette will have some key additions to help drive sales. The information is sourced from the Global Connect Order WorkBench, a software that dealerships often rely on to collect orders for new vehicles. Customers will have the choice of two new body color options including Red Mist Tintcoat and Silver Flare. Both of which, according to Corvette Blogger, shall be in place of Long Beach Red and Blade Silver. It’s a bit unusual to see such a change after just one model year, but it appears Chevy is open to update the available color options to meet demand. A noticeable carbon fiber finish for the high-wing and the door intake trim will be ready for the 2021 Corvette C8, as well as a slew of body stripes that can be selected to match a wide array of colors. For now, the visible carbon fiber ground effects are not available for customers to select for now. The addition of the Magnetic Selective Ride Control as a standalone option means customers no longer have to opt for the Z51 package.

Interior Changes Come As Well

There are some modest adjustments that will be found on the inside as well. Fantastic options like wireless Apple CarPlay are set to become standard across the entire line-up.  The 3LT will be available with a couple of new seat combinations for customers to choose from. New all-weather floor liners are also included, as well as a car cover depicting the C8.R race car. Another listing is the “Stingray R”, but the details to that are not known. Corvette Blogger has this item as a possible special-edition model with visual upgrades taken directly from the C8.R. While these are some of the minor details that will make up some of the changes, we know the timing of the 2021 Corvette C8 is set to start later in the fall of 2020.

Production Is Nearing For 2021 C8

The beginning of assembly of the 2021 Corvette is scheduled to ramp up by September 2020. That’s if production isn’t slowed down by that point due to the coronavirus aftermath. We have hopes the slowdown will not hinder production of the mid-engined sports car, making it back-to-back years of a slowed roll out. There has been speculation and reports that have placed the Chevrolet Corvette sports car at a new starting price over last year’s considerably low $60,000 MSRP for the base model. Chevrolet actually loses money with the sale of the low-end C8 trims. Thinking about driving the premiere Chevrolet product?

Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 LT5 Crate Engine Is Ready For Customers

For those looking to add some serious performance to their vehicle, a new crate by Chevrolet has been announced that will give car owners the chance to upgrade their engine. General Motors confirmed at the 2018 SEMA Show in Las Vegas that they have plans to introduce the LT5 engine from the C7 Corvette ZR1 as a new crate engine package for customers to purchase. Prepared as a crate engine from the company’s performance parts division, the first orders are currently being placed. With companies like Mopar releasing engine crates for classic cars, it comes as no surprise that General Motors and their performance parts department are also offering installation packages. Engine crates and engine crate kits make installing a modern engine in a classic muscle car more manageable and not as difficult as one would expect.

Thinking of Adding Premium Performance to Your Classic Ride? The Price Has Been Revealed

With the introduction of the LT5 crate engine, a remarkable 755 horsepower and 715 lb-ft of torque can be added to any project car. The price for this remarkable engine crate has been announced by GM, and the cost is for those looking for a true powerhouse engine and won’t settle for less – it’s cost is $19,995 MSRP. For a limited time, the price is currently set at a discounted mark of only $17,915.

Worth the Hard Work

Hoping to get this bad-boy crate? General Motors Performance Parts will be offering a plug-and-play wiring setup and a unique 6L80 automatic transmission to make the LT5 swap simpler, but right now, it seems that buyers will have to manage all of the installation difficulties on their own. Though many won’t mind getting a chance to work towards adding the large LT5 engine, those proficient builders who are only interested in the engine itself rather skip the experience and would prefer the help.

It’s rare that an engine comes in a crate for sale, especially an engine like the LT5. The closest example to this General Motors product would be the HellCrate HEMI from Mopar that provides 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque at $19,530 MSRP. That puts the LT5 in the same basic ballpark as the other high-performance engine offered as a stand-alone product. For any person looking to massively change their vehicle’s performance, there is a new option in town to make that happen. Giddy up!

Strongest and Fastest Pickups on the Market

Thursday, August 9th, 2018

Every pickup truck is measured by a few categories. One of the most important features any pickup truck should aspire to have is overpowering strength. With high-level strength comes high-powered engines with increased tow ratings among the beasts on the market; there’s more than one choice and we have our favorites. The 2018 Ram 3500 Laramie pickup is a massive option, the Ford Super Duty F-350 holds its own, but the 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 High Country is the clear cut winner for strength and speed and is superior to its competition.

In a test conducted to, a 4,9000 pound Big Tex dump trailer was filled with 8,100 pounds was connected to each pickup and driven through the hills and turns on an Arizona highway. The Ram 3500 Laramie faced off against the 2018 Silverado 3500 High Country and 2018 Ford Super Duty F-350 Lariat. Let’s look at the results, shall we?

Up the Hills We Go

The challenge for these three pickups started with the Davis Dam Hill Climb. The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 hit a speed of 74 mph and finished the path in two minutes and three seconds. Not far behind was the Ford Super Duty F-350 that finished a second later; 13 seconds behind the Silverado was the 2018 Ram 3500. This run was exactly 2.23 miles at 7 percent grade.

Keep in mind, 7% grade is the slope of the road. Percent means per one-hundred so 7% grade is 7 per one-hundred. If the road is climbing then this means for every 100 units you travel horizontally you increase your altitude by 7 units. They tested a second run to see how fast the 40-to-60 mph climb would take from 4th gear start. Chevy won there as well, hitting 18.23 seconds, Ford Super Duty F-350 finished in 18.31 seconds and lastly the Ram 3500 hit a time of 18.76 seconds. The total weight of what each truck pulled was 13,000 pounds.

The 2018 Ford Super-Duty F-350 hit a top speed of 72 mph and the 2018 Ram 3500 hit a top speed of 68 mph. The Ford pickup felt slower to the editors even though it finished not far behind the Chevy Silverado. The editors noted that the Ford had trouble with bumps that would set the truck into an aggressive fore-aft motion, running less smooth than the Chevy or Ram pickup. While the Chevy and Ford finished faster, the Ram pickup did not struggle to climb and felt “the most commercial-truck feek” according to the editors that completed the testing.

Descending Hill Run

The 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 easily dropped speed from 65 mph to 45 mph without struggle and could comfortably handle the rigors of hauling the heavy cargo without exhausting the brakes. Just as impressive was the Ram 3500 that broke with a deep, big-rig sound and held its own when shifting and braking on the run. Towing is such an important part of owning a pickup truck. When considering your choices, there’s more than one option.

Miami Lakes Automall Has Your Truck Needs Covered
