It’s here! Miami Lakes Chevy has the all-new 2017 Chevy Bolt available! Unlike any other all electric vehicle on the market, the Chevy Bolt has an all electric range of 238 miles on a full charge and it is priced under $37,000.

The Chevy Bolt EV just hit the U.S. market in December 2016 and since its launch, there have been a whopping 8,000 units delivered. Last month, the Bolt’s sales were at an all time high — 1,642 units were sold. Sales are expected to grow as the vehicle reaches more markets and some dealers may have a hard time getting the Bolt, but luckily Miami Lakes Automall has two models available!

Why the Chevy Bolt?

  • The Bolt’s 60 kWh 350 V lithium-ion battery is able to go a very long distance between battery charges (238 miles). That is more than any Tesla model currently on the market.

Future of Self-Driving Cars With The Autonomous Chevy Bolt

General Motors (GM)  has some big news and we are super excited. GM is the first U.S manufacturer with a facility to mass produce self-driving cars and their first batch of mass produced cars was 130 Chevy Bolt EVs. The Chevy Bolt is already the longest range electric vehicle and now it is making even more strides.

This is what we know:

  • In 2016, GM invested a whopping $500 million in the ridesharing company, Lyft, and this is around the same time GM started talking about their interest in self-driving vehicles. Lyft is planning on having a self-driving driver service by 2021.
  • By 2018, GM plans to have “thousands” of self-driving vehicles roaming the road. Currently there are 50 Chevy Bolt EVs driving in three U.S. cities.

Introduced to the 2017 model year, the Chevy Bolt was and still is the most affordable long-range electric vehicle (EV) and new Bolt models are going to be at Miami Lakes Chevy in August.

General Motors (GM) recently announced that Bolt models will be in dealerships across the nation ahead of schedule. When the Bolt was first released, it was only selling in the EV friendly states of Oregon and California. Then, GM released the cars to about a dozen other states. OnStar Basic Plan

Though the standard OnStar Basic Plan is free for the first five years of ownership, it is a pretty comprehensive plan. The basic plan includes “smart driver,” which is a feature that helps coach drivers into being better drivers (which can help lower car insurance premiums) and it includes a few features that informs drivers of the vehicle’s “health” as well as when it is in need of repair or routine maintenance. Owners can also use the OnStar basic plan to sync their vehicle up with a smartphone app, which makes it possible for users to remotely lock and unlock their vehicle. The basic plan also comes with OnStar AtYourService, which users can use to find the locations of restaurants, entertainment and shopping.

The Colorado ZR2 is equipped with DSSV dampers that provide a two-inch lift. The truck has unique front control arms and its modified rear axle has a 3.42:1 crawling ratio.
