The 2022 Chevrolet Camaro Is Near and Ready To Surge Ahead

Rapid Miami Lakes Automall

Chevrolet is preparing the 2022 Camaro to come out with perks that would satisfy any pony car enthusiasts. The 6.2-Liter LT1 V8 powertrain is intense and offers high-octane strength that makes owners rush to jump back into its comfortable seating. The popularity of the Chevrolet brand extends to the arena known as the Great American Race, aka the Daytona 500. Some surprises will be showcased at this year’s Daytona race. Looking to learn more about all the perks coming to the Chevy brand?

The 2022 Chevrolet Camaro Makes Debut

The 2022 Chevy Camaro brings out the best in the Chevrolet brand. There will be a freshly added color for owners to choose from with the addition of the Rapid Blue exterior color. The debut of the Camaro in Rapid Blue will take place at this year’s Daytona 500. The price point for the color is not listed yet, but considering how attractive it looks, owners will opt to add it. Chevy has previously priced the paint color option like this one at $495. We expect the Corvette and Silverado to offer this color along with the Camaro. The plan for General Motors is to offer the Camaro for only so long as a gasoline-powered vehicle. The goal is to ramp up its electric-vehicle count to every single vehicle sold by the Chevy brand by 2035. The technology of the 2022 Chevrolet Camaro has been revamped to include wireless capabilities for owners including Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a 7-inch touchscreen.

Is the Camaro Ready To Surge Again?

In more recent months, we’ve seen the popularity rise for the Camaro. In the 4th quarter of 2019, Camaro saw a climb of 3% growth and sold over 7,500 Camaros to close out the last quarter before the COVID-19 outbreak took out the Camaro sales in 2020. However, the 2021 Camaro did not reach the sales goals of General Motors. This is why the next model year (2022 model year) will contain more to offer. Originally, the Chevrolet brand was rumored to offer a 55th Anniversary Edition, but that does not seem to be a possibility. The 2022 Camaro starts at $35,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee).

Chevrolet Bolt Finishes 2020 As Second Best-Selling EV

2021 Chevrolet Miami Lakes Automall

What separates the Bolt from the rest of the vehicles in its segment? The results of the 2020 sales year included 20,754 vehicles sold, which was over 4,300 more than the previous year. This past year provided a significant jump in sales. The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt is going to see an increase in sales yet again if the previous years indicate the future. There is less mystery involving the abilities of EVs as more buyers opt for better mileage and improved EV designs rather than traditional gasoline engines. The Tesla Model 3 finished on top, but before long we might see Chevrolet pull ahead as its engineering and technology grows.

Chevrolet Is Aiming For Number One

Chevy did sell more Bolt EVs than Tesla sold of its Model S vehicle. Even against non-EVs, Chevrolet is proud of the accomplishments done by the Bolt. The Bolt EV sold more than twice that of the Nissan Leaf sold and almost three times the amount sold over rival Audi and its e-tron and e-tron Sportback EVs. The good news for readers looking for the Chevrolet Bolt, the next model year will see a mid-cycle refresh.

Upcoming Chevy Bolt

The refresh for the 2021 model year was pushed back to the 2022 model year. The COVID-19 outbreak is the reason to blame for the skipped model year. The rise of EVs is expected to reach as much as around 40 percent of General Motors sales within just four years. As soon as 2025 is here, the world will look very different. Word on the street, according to GM Authority, is General Motors will also carry many more models that will promote EV capabilities. For our readers, let us know what you think on social media

2021 Chevrolet Silverado Gains New Realtree Special Edition

2020 has been an interesting year in the automotive industry. We’ve seen disruptions due to COVID-19, resulting in some production delays across the entire landscape of auto manufacturers. The difference between Chevrolet and the other brands is how fast are customers returning to purchase a brand’s vehicles. The Chevy brand has actually posted higher percentages with the Silverado HD posting a 9.1 percent increase in the third quarter over the second quarter of 2020. The Chevrolet Blazer also increased up a massive 45.2 percent along with the Chevrolet Corvette gaining 33.3 percent, and the Chevrolet Spark that went up 26.6. The compact Chevrolet Sonic sedan went up 102.4 percent over its results from the previous quarter.

Chevrolet Brings Back the Realtree Edition

Chevrolet has just announced a new Realtree Edition that is back for the first time in five years. This Realtree-themed pickup is made for the outdoors and carries the off-road perks of the Trail Boss trim. The powertrain is solid with its 355 horsepower effort from the 5.3-Liter V8 paired to a six-speed automatic transmission. There is also an optional 6.2-Liter V8 that is tied to the 10-speed transmission that equals 420 horsepower for owners to embrace. The apparel of driving a new Chevrolet Silverado is found in its off-road capabilities for this special edition trim.

The perks of the Silverado Realtree Edition adds a suspension lift of two inches and the added Z71 package’s Rancho off-road-tuned shocks, added skid plates, automatic locking rear differential, and hill-descent control. Wrapped with mud-terrain tires on 20-inch wheels, we think this pickup is the bee’s knees for any driver that wants a secure off-road experience in a stylish and modern cabin experience.

More On the Appearance of the Silverado

Overall, the 2021 Silverado is as gorgeous as it has ever been. The exterior perks of the Realtree Edition include cues from the outdoorsy theme with camouflage-pattern “Timber” decals, also located on the sides of the bed and on the hood as well. The bed has a liner that includes the Realtree logo. The exterior includes black badging, black exhaust tips, and side steps. The interior carries further camouflage patterns across the door panels. The 2021 Silverado has a starting price of $28,600 MSRP (Plus destination fee), which is way lower than the 2021 Ford F-150 and 2021 Toyota Tundra. Chevrolet Trailblazer Increased Sales By 183% From Last Year

2021 Miami Lakes Automall

The Chevrolet Trailblazer has grown a massive following according to the manufacturer. The sales increase for the Trailblazer has increased by an unreal 183% from this time last year to now. This is true not just for the sales in the United States, but elsewhere in Canada and Mexico. The Trailblazer is built in Mexico and currently only has a 28-day supply left. The normal amount is around 60-days for most manufacturers. While we knew about the Chevy Trailblazer becoming a hot vehicle, we’re impressed it has sustained its growth. What has helped make the sales leap so much inside of a year? Let’s break down how the success has happened for the Chevrolet SUV.

What Has Helped the Growth of the Trailblazer?

Certainly, when Chevrolet brought back the Trailblazer in 2016, no one would have expected this growth. Word of mouth and solid reviews are helping to pave the way. Perhaps, drivers enjoyed the perks offered by the Chevrolet SUV. Owners can opt for all-wheel-drive and hold up to five passengers. 54.4 cubic feet of space is available for owners, a decent amount for a mid-size SUV. Want to know what buyers can expect for the trims offered by Chevrolet? Allow us to reveal the various standard highlights and differences across the spectrum of choices.

Perks of Each Trim Level

Chevrolet has made the trim levels simple to understand for buyers. The five trims are L, LS, LT, Activ, and the RS. Owners can enjoy upgraded features that help the Trailblazer hold its own in the competitive SUV segment. The Trailblazer supplies Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 system that offers a standard 7-inch diagonal color touchscreen, Bluetooth audio streaming for two active devices, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities. The perks of the newest safety enhancements come with standard Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Available options like the improvement 6-speaker audio system and fold-flat front passenger seatbacks and 17-inch aluminum wheels are offered for the LS trim and the LT comes with standard heated power-adjustable mirrors and a remote vehicle starter system.

The two highlights of the Trailblazer are found in the Activ and RS trim. The ECOTEC and RS both supply the 1.3-Liter three-cylinder turbocharged engine that creates 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain offers improved fuel efficiency with its Variable Valve Timing (VVT) ability. The Active supplies LED taillamps and sport terrain tires, while the RS adds the 18-inch high-gloss black machined wheels and dual-outlet exhaust with round polished tips.

Pricing For the 2021 Trailblazer

The difference between the L versus the high-end RS is only $6,500. The L trim begins at $19,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee), the LS starts at $21,600 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and the LT can be had for $23,700 MSRP (Plus destination fee). The Activ trim begins at $25,500 (Plus destination fee) and the RS begins at $23,500 (Plus destination fee). Chevrolet Has Set Next-Gen Equinox For 2025

2020 Miami Lakes Automall

The plan for Chevrolet regarding its popular Chevy Equinox crossover has remained the same since it first debuted 15 years ago; to make shoppers fall in love with more space. Back in 2005, the debut model helped to usher in a new wave of car buyers to appreciate the convenience of a larger vehicle. Chevrolet helped lead the automotive trend towards larger and more spacious vehicles rather than cramped and aged car models. Now the Equinox has reached its third-generation, which came out a couple years ago for the 2018 model year. The word on the street is the fourth-generation will come out in 2025, after a refresh comes for this crossover. What can we expect?

Breaking Down the Changes Ahead

When Chevrolet introduces its fourth-generation Chevy Equinox, it will be produced on a new platform. By 2025, the vehicle will have been using its current platform for eight years. The next-generation will use the VSS-F vehicle platform, differing from the current model, which rides on the General Motors D2 platform. Chevrolet has used the VSS-F vehicle set as the backbone for numerous General Motors vehicles like the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer, whereas the older GM D2 platform is currently used by other GM vehicles.

But First, A Refresh For the Equinox

For customers that don’t want to wait till 2025, as we’re sure most readers wouldn’t want to either, the current-generation Chevrolet Equinox will gain new perks with a refresh set for the 2022 model year. The Equinox was originally due for a refresh for the 2021 model year, but unfortunately, those details were pushed back due to Coronavirus pandemic. As such, the refreshed Equinox will go on sale earlier than usual for a new vehicle when it comes out next year in 2021. New spy shots should break out this fall for what the vehicle will gain.

General Motors had scheduled a number of styling upgrades to the Chevy Equinox for the 2021 refresh. We expect the changes to involve fixtures that offer new headlamps and tail lamps, a larger front grille, an revamped lower front fascia, new fog lamps, and a change to the length of the rear bumper. GM also brought the Equinox a new RS trim. This trim will offer a different appearance that carries its own front and rear fascia, new black badges and accents, 19-inch wheels with a dark finish, and quad exhaust tips. This trim will sit up high on the Equinox trim ladder as the RS will gain red contrast stitching and a matching RS shift knob. What else can we expect for the upcoming 2021 model year?

Improvements To the New 2021 Chevy Equinox

The earliest reports from GM Authority mentioned the 2021 Chevy Equinox will no longer carry the turbocharged 2.0-Liter I4 LTG engine option. For future buyers looking for a solid engine choice, the turbocharged 1.5 Liter I4 LYX the only powertrain available. Buyers opted to go with the 2.0-Liter engine for just seven percent of the total Equinox sales volume in 2019, which is intriguing because that engine gave 82 more horsepower and 57 more pound-feet of torque than the 1.5-Liter engine. The removal of the 2.0-Liter LTG comes after the discontinuation of the 1.6-Liter I4 LH7 turbodiesel with the 2020 Chevy Equinox model year. Of course, Chevrolet is looking forward to offering customers what they want most and improving the Equinox between now and 2025. Drivers looking for a smart pick to drive will take a closer look at the upcoming Chevrolet Equinox

Chevrolet Produces the Fastest-Selling Vehicle In the United States Today

2020 has not been the year for car sales that anyone would have predicted. However, the landscape of automobile transactions shows a clear cut winning so far through two quarters and Chevrolet is on top. A recent study by the folks at iSeeCars.com has shown the average amount of days a car sits before being sold after sitting around 96.9 days, as the data collected from March 2020 through June 2020 showed. The average was far less before the Coronavirus broke out. The same length of time would only last around 57.8 days back when it was measured from November 2019 to February 2020.

“The effective demand for these vehicles has slowed in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic due to lockdowns and downturns in the economy, but the change was much more dramatic for new vehicles than for used vehicles,” added iSeeCars CEO Phong Ly.

A Closer Look At the Numbers

The sales number represents around 9 million new and used cars sold from November 2019 through June 2020. On the list of the ten fastest-selling cars in the U.S. during that period, with the exception of pickups, Chevrolet landed two vehicles on the list. The 7th and top spot belong to the Chevrolet Bolt EV and the Trailblazer.

The Chevrolet Bolt EV clearly stands out as its only the non-SUV and the lone fully electric vehicle on the list. The list, according to iSeeCars, has the Chevrolet Bolt EV selling in just over a month at 41.7 days as the average length of time before a purchase is made. Compared to the Chevrolet Trailblazer, the customers flock to the popular Chevy SUV with the average only being 19 days before it is off the lot.

Chevrolet Has the Top Selling Vehicle In the U.S. Today

Today, the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer reached its fast-selling rate in the United States market due to its affordable price at under $20,000 MSRP. Today, customers can drive the new 2021 Trailblazer and it’s five-trims starting at $19,995 MSRP (Plus destination fee) for the base L trim. The LS, LT, Activ, and RS trims follow. All-wheel-drive is optional for owners on all trims except the base L trim. The mid-size SUV is spacious and offers customers plenty of technology and solid fuel economy at an EPA estimated 29 mpg.

“The ISeeCars study validates all of our research to bring the Trailblazer to market with the right design, the right features, the right performance, at the right price. Early sales are exceeding our expectations, led by the RS trim, which has doubled our forecast. We are very pleased with the consumer reaction to the all-new Trailblazer,” said Brad Franz, senior marketing manager, Chevrolet SUVs.

General Motors Offers Customers All-New 350 Small Block Crate

Crate Miami Lakes Automall

General Motors has made new plans to offer customers a new 350 cubic-inch small-block V8 crate powertrain. Any owner that is looking to add more power and strength to replace an engine can opt for this new crate. GM has this crate box to serve as an option for trucks, vans, and SUVs built from 1987 to 2002. Updated with CNC machining, renewed part designs, and a warranty, it’s set to be the go-to replacement for owners searching for a new engine and years of service ahead. While General Motors and Chevrolet are planning on expanding their EV lineup, they have this 350 small block option for those who want to keep older vehicles running.

More On the 350 Small Block Engine

General Motors has built the 350 small block before, going back multiple years and generations of different vehicles. The engine was produced originally back in 1967 for the Chevy Camaro. The 350 small block would end up becoming an engine option across the entire Chevy lineup.  The engine would eventually become updated and modernized. The Chevrolet’s current crate engines actually still take after the 350 small block as a base engine. Since 2005, GM has produced and sold over a quarter-million 350 crate engine to various companies and buyers. The design is over 40 years old today, but if it isn’t broke, don’t fix it. This is the testament to the strength of GM’s engineering.

Gain the Power of the 350 Crate Sooner Than You Think

Concerning the crate offered today, it is an updated design that is entirely brand-new; the powertrain is not remanufactured or refurbished in any way. CNC machined block castings and cylinder heads, as well as forged steel crankshafts, new valve covers, new oil pans, and new timing covers. Customers have the choice of three trims available that will work across various GM vehicles including a standard Gen 1 for trucks, vans, and SUVs built from 1987 to 1995, a Gen 1e LD for light-duty trucks from 1996 to 2002, and a Gen 1e HD for heavy-duty trucks from 1996 to 2002. Keep in mind, every new 350 block crate will come with a standard 3-year/100,000-mile warranty; whichever comes first. GM hasn’t announced the pricing, but has revealed the engines are available to order through dealerships starting in August 2020.

2021 Chevrolet Malibu Gains New Special Edition, Safety Features

In the automotive landscape, the sedan is a vanishing segment – lingering as a surge of demand has arisen for both trucks and SUVs. However, General Motors has not stopped making new sedan vehicles. The automaker is doing everything in its power to keep selling cars like the Chevrolet Malibu. The Malibu is currently at its ninth-generation. The Malibu is expanding with a new spec as it enters its sixth year on the market with a new 2021 Sport Edition package. There is some speculation the Chevrolet Malibu might eventually be made into a new crossover SUV at some point. The Chevrolet Impala was discontinued, so if the Malibu doesn’t change, it might be discontinued. Chevrolet is also incorporating new safety features to help address ongoing issues.

More on the Malibu Special Edition

Drivers who opt for the Sport Edition will gain a black nameplate badge, black bowtie emblems, and black-painted alloy wheels including 19 inches in diameter, encased in 245-section all-season tires. The Sport Edition is based on the LT trim level, a slight downgrade from Premier trim. Chevrolet has added a Jet Black exterior paint option More is expected to package, the Malibu is also set to get a couple of other fresh changes for 2021. Namely, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are going wireless, where before a USB cable connection was required, and a newly available safety feature has been added to all Malibu models to inspire seat belt use.

New “Buckle To Drive” Feature

The new safety feature, entitled “Buckle to Drive”, will eventually find its way into multiple General Motor vehicles. So far it has been added to the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse. This system works to help drivers ensure that are securely fastened with their seatbelt. In fact, the driver can not shift out of park until the car recognizes that their seat belt has been fastened. This is an available feature, should an owner not want to include this new addition, but GM will be moving this safety precaution as a feature to more vehicles. The system was designed for teen drivers and won’t allow the car to go into gear unless the driver’s seatbelt is buckled. GM also has another safety feature called Rear Seat Reminder, which alerts the driver to check the back seat once the ignition is turned off if the rear doors were opened sometime during the trip.

“Buckle to Drive is Chevrolet’s latest feature designed to encourage young drivers to develop safe driving habits right from the start. Buckle to Drive is embedded in Chevrolet’s Teen Driver system and is aimed at helping remind teens to buckle up every time they get behind the wheel,” said Tricia Morrow, Chevrolet safety engineer.

More Safety Features Coming

GM has also introduced a new Rear Seat Reminder safety feature. This is an important feature that can be used to help drivers with small pets or babies, as many times there have been accidents where an owner forgets to check the vehicle. Eventually, the U.S. Congress might make car child alerts mandatory in all new vehicles. The bill being proposed by Congress would expect the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to address new laws for automakers early this decade. These laws would define “a distinct auditory and visual alert” to caution drivers to check their back seat when leaving a car. For our readers, let us know what you think on social media

2021 Chevrolet Colorado Has All the “Wow” Options That Customers Crave

Colorado Miami Lakes Automall

Chevrolet has made some changes to its upcoming mid-size pickup, the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. The 2021 model year will launch with a brand new Custom Special Edition as well as other goodies Chevrolet fans have waited for. Along with this special edition is an array of Colorado options including an enhanced ZR2, the return of the ZR2 Bison, and the addition of the 2.8-liter turbodiesel inline-4 engine. All Chevy Colorado trims have noticeable cosmetic upgrades to the front and rear, and an 8.0-inch touchscreen is standard on all but the base WT trim. The nameplate came back in 2015, but the Chevy Colorado is helped by this refresh to go up against the growing mid-size truck segment that includes the Ford Ranger, Jeep Gladiator, and a refreshed Toyota Tacoma.

More About the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado

Chevrolet has added “Chevrolet” lettering instead of the bowtie over the grille across all four trims. The bowties will be updated to match the bigger grilles where the “Chevrolet” lettering is present. A new Sand Dune Metallic paint will be available on all Z trims.

As Chevy pledges a wider differentiation between trims, the WT, LT, and Z71 trims all have gotten some tweaks. Owners will spot new center bars, lower bumpers, and added for protection are front skid plates. The Custom trim available on the base WT adds body-color grille, mirrors, door handles, and rear bumper, as well as 18-inch aluminum wheels. Owners can opt for a newly introduced Chrome Appearance Package available for the LT model. This will fit the Chevy Colorado with chrome across the grille, door handles, rear bumper, belt-line molding, and on the heated manual-folding side mirrors, although the pricing for this package hasn’t been listed.

ZR-2 Gains the Most Enhancements

The ZR2 off-road variant has added more than any other trim.  The first way to tell is from the front, regarding the high mesh grille.  Along with the “Chevrolet” bar branded across the middle, drivers will spot the lower fascia is more extensive and smooth with the upper bumper. This trim also brings standard red tow hooks in the front.
