2022 Chevy Corvette C8 Gets Some Sporty Improvements

General Motors subsidiary Chevrolet recently brought on a small selection of new color options for their 2022 C8 Corvette Stingray and is even offering a  limited appearance package based on the 2021 IMSA GTLM champion C8.R race car. The company also enhanced the sporty vehicle’s fuel and engine management interworks, however, this doesn’t mean that the C8 is going to muster up any more power than it already has. On top of this, its starting price has been heightened to $62,195, (plus destination fee), which is over $1000 more than the 2021 model year.

The upcoming Corvette’s engine is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter LT2 V-8, which is geared with a new fuel pump and fuel injections that gives way for running higher fuel pressures. The output remains the same at 490 horsepower (really 495 if you have the performance exhaust) with 470 lb-ft of torque. It’s geared with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In Car and Drivers testing, the Stingray got up to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and zoomed through the quarter-mile at 122 mph in 11.2 seconds. The more advanced Active Fuel Management system makes it possible for the cylinder deactivation to be able to perform at lower speeds, however, estimates regarding the fuel economy have not yet been released.

Limited to just 1000 cars is the new IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package. Its starting price is $6595 and is available on 3LT models fixed with the Z51 Performance package. It also has two available colors, which are Accelerate Yellow w/ gray accents or Hypersonic Gray w/ yellow accents. Finished in the Carbon Flash color are the spoilers and mirror, while the wheels are painted black w/ the brand’s Racing “Jake” skull emblem on the center caps and yellow brakes.

These special-edition models have an exclusive Strike Yellow and Sky Cool Gray interior with GT2 buckets seats paired with yellow seat belts. One can also select the special Competition seats, and there is even a C8.R Special Edition numbered plaque that you’ll find between the chairs. They are accompanied by a distinctive car cover that mirrors the style of the Corvette C8. race car.

What’s more, Corvette cars that aren’t geared with the track-equipped Z51 package are now available to order with a new low rear spoiler, along with a Z51 front splitter.

Excitingly enough, the C8.R race car was revealed for the first time at Detroit’s Belle Isle on Saturday, June 12. Eager Chevy enthusiasts of the upcoming C8 Stingray, as well as the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package, can place their order on July 1st.

Chevrolet Reveals Three Cool Colors For The 2022 Corvette C8

New Corvette Colors For 2022

Although the All-American Chevrolet brand has a great deal of vehicles under its belt, without question, their Corvette sports car is their main squeeze. Now more than ever, with its recent C8 Corvette entering its third model year, the car has gained widespread popularity. While changes in design have been relatively haven’t been too dramatic, they still add just enough excitement.

Recently, the automaker announced that there are three new color options available. The three new color options include Amplify Orange, Caffeine, and Hypersonic Gray. At least one of these colors is viewed as a premium color, with Amplify Orange being a bit more expensive.

It seems as though the colors Caffeine and Hypersonic Gray are standard. The Caffeine color appears to look brownish, and the shared image from the brand appears to have hints of metallic gold elements to it once it hits the sunshine. The color is very subtle for the Corvette. Hypersonic Gray also serves as a metallic color option, and slightly comparable to the silver that was previously available to the vehicle.

All of next year’s Corvette models will encompass standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as new display options for the digital gauge cluster, such as a tachometer in Track mode. These standard gadgets were presented in the 2021 model year. Buyers of the 2022 C8 models can also select the magnetorheological dampers as a standalone option that doesn’t necessitate buyers to choose the Z51 performance package.

For the time being, no new changes will be applied to the motor, as the Corvette will continue to make use of a 490 horsepower 6.2-liter V-8 engine. The company confirmed that orders for the 2022 model will start by early July.

The drivetrain shifts over from previous years with the 6.2-liter V-8 engine producing 490 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. Car and Driver states that the C8 can reach 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and run the quarter-mile in 11.2 seconds at 122 mph. The 2-door vehicle uses an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox. The entry-level price for the 2021 Corvette was $60,995, (plus destination fee), with the 2022 C8 likely following suit.

Corvette’s Color Of The Year

The 2021 Corvette already has an exciting group of 12 exterior colors. At the present moment, the fan favorite of the bunch is Torch Red.

For loyal Corvette followers, the popularity in the Torch shouldn’t come as a shock, as GM Authority previously reported that this option was the most desired exterior color for the 2020 Corvette, specifically making up 25 percent of all of last year’s models that were produced. Arctic White came in as the second most popular 2020 Corvette color, making up 15 percent of the sales, while Black came in third place at 12 percent. Finally, with 7 percent each, Sebring Orange and Elkhart Lake Blue came in fourth and fifth, respectively.

All Corvette color options currently include:

  • Sebring Orange Tintcoat
  • Arctic White
  • Ceramic Matrix Gray Metallic
  • Black
  • Accelerate Yellow Metallic
  • Shadow Gray Metallic
  • Rapid Blue
  • Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat
  • Elkhart Lake Blue Metallic
  • Silver Flare Metallic
  • Zeus Bronze Metallic

Inhouse, the 2021 Corvette currently offers eight interior colors, such as:

  • Jet Black
  • Sky Cool Gray
  • Adrenaline Red
  • Natural
  • Natural Dipped
  • Tension with Twilight Blue Dipped
  • Morello Red Dipped
  • Sky Cool Gray with Strike Yellow

The Chevy Corvette Commands Authority With High Market Share During Q1 2021

The 2021 Chevrolet Corvette has experienced incredible highs in the United States and in Mexico during the first sales quarter of 2021.

Chevrolet Corvette Sales – Q1 2021 – United States

In North America, deliveries for the Chevrolet Corvette summed up to 6,611 units in Q1 2021, which is about a 73 percent increase as opposed to the 3,820 units sold in Q1 2020.

Chevrolet Corvette Sales – Q1 2021 – Mexico

In Mexico, the deliveries for the Corvette model consisted of 36 units in Q 2021, which means there was a growth of about 140 percent as opposed to 15 units sold in Q1 2020.

Chevrolet Corvette Sales – Q1 2021 – Canada

In Canada, however, the Vette did experience a slight decrease in sales, as its deliveries amounted to 281 units in Q1 2021, which brought its numbers down to about 2 percent as opposed to 288 units sold in Q1 2020.

Competition Sales Comparison (USA)

The significant increase in the Chevrolet Corvette’s North American sales during the Q1 2021 prompted the iconic sports car to maintain its position as the best-selling model in its segment. Essentially, the famous Stingray outpaced all of its other competitors in the sales race, including that of the Porsche 911, Porsche 718, Mercedes-AMG GT, Mercedes-Benz SL, Mercedes-Benz SLC, Audi R8, Nissan GT-R, Ford GT, Acura NSX, and BMW i8.

Sales Numbers – Premium Sports Cars – Q1 2021 – USA

The Corvette’s impressive numbers signify a considerable improvement over figures that were similarly admirable in Q3 2020 in addition to Q4 2020. Throughout these quarters, the 8th-gen model made up over 50 percent of shares for its segment. It’s worth noting, however, that most candidates are much pricier than the Corvette and therefore, it’s less likely this will contribute to the lower volume of buyers.

The Chevy Corvette was able to increase its segment shares up to 51 percent opposed to 43 percent in 2020. Coming in second, is the highly popular and big-time rival, Porsche 911; This car comprised about a third of the Corvettes sales with 22 percent segment share, which is a decrease of 29 percent in the quarter a year ago. Then, Porsche’s 718 line, encompassing the 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster, came up third with a 12 percent segment share, with an increase of 4 percent from a year ago. The remaining contenders like the Audi R8, Nissan GT-R, Ford GT, Acura NSX, and BMW i8, all saw an increase of 1 percent or less in their segment share.

The segment for luxury sport vehicles increased an average of about 44 percent to 12,876 units in Q1 2021, which means that Corvette sales outsold the segment nearly two-fold.

The Hybrid Corvette C8 Is Rumored To Be Named The E-Ray

Just when you thought the legendary Chevrolet C8 Corvette couldn’t wow us any more than it already has, the company surprises us with a hybrid variant.

The American automaker proves itself to be a powerhouse once again, as they plan on putting to use the name “E-Ray”, as claimed in a report from the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). The parent company, General Motors (GM) already trademarked this name about six years ago, so perhaps this new electric venture has been in the works for quite some time. Reports also say that not only will the name be used for the first hybrid Corvette model, but the sports car could make its grand entrance into the 2023 lineup.

According to the website, The Trade Group, the E-Ray will make its appearance in two model years, in the same place where the spot was initially saved for the Grand Sport trim package in previous generations of the Vette’. The new hybrid will be energized by the 6.2-liter LT2 V8, the same engine that was on the base Stingray model, also encompassing two electric motors, which will both be fixed on the front axle. The new engine will certainly be more impressive than the regular gasoline-powered motor, but it will provide that final wow factor due to its significant upsurge in power from 490 horses and 465 ft-lbs of torque to a facelifting 600 horses and 500 ft-lbs of torque.

The report from SAE’s also brings attention to the fact the center tunnel on the mixed-material chassis seems to have an extensive amount of space for one of the automaker’s Ultium battery packs, while the front of the Corvette has space for two electric motors. The suggestion is that there will be two potential disadvantages to the hybrid powertrain with one being the adding of weight and the other the loss of cargo space in the front truck. Nevertheless, it is estimated that the variant will have a starting pricing for around $100,000, (plus destination fee).

Only loyal Chevrolet fans would know that this isn’t exactly the first time we’ve heard rumors of an eco-friendly Corvette, however, it’s important to note that the company hasn’t exactly confirmed…or denied that they are going through with the moniker. A representative from the automaker told Robb Report said, “We’re not going to engage in rumor and speculation.”

Despite GM playing coy, there has been more fuel added to the fire of the E-Ray rumors less than a month after the company announced their plans for electrifying their Corvette. Toward the end of January, the automaker revealed its plan to begin switching out internal combustion engines and its effort to eventually only sell battery-operated vehicles by the year 2035. Theoretically, the E-Ray still has an internal combustion engine, but it is a very important step on the journey to transition to an all-electric C8.

Chevrolet Designers Show Off Their Unofficial Split-Window Design For The Corvette C8

Chevrolet Designers Seem Split On Their Unofficial Window Design

Chevrolet’s Corvette sports car had quite an incredible career in the automotive market spanning more than 60 years. Since its debut, it’s been considered one of the preferred cars by adrenaline enthusiasts, more particularly with the automaker’s Corvette Sting Ray, which was famous for its 1963 split-window. Designers of General Motors (GM) were close to bringing back this classic style element onto the mid-engine C8 Corvette but pulled back from the idea. However, it appears that the creators have had a change of heart, more particularly Rain Prisk, by attempting to tack on a split-window design to the mid-engine Corvette.

This restyling includes modifying the C8’s engine hatch, or rather completely getting rid of it. Alternatively, the roofline is now extended right to the rear end, highlighting the coupe-like style. It makes the Corvette look a bit more curvaceous, even comparable to a Bugatti from the rear-three-quarter angle. The longer roof also alters the car’s B-pillar layout, substituting the small piece of triangular trim with a couple of intake embellishments. The stretched roof is highlighted with a glossed spine curving from the roof to the letter “Corvette” at the rear, separating the rear window and reinstating an icon.

The C8’s rear is a bit more refined in the rendering as opposed to the production car Chevrolet on the market, however, it misses out on the high-mount brake light midway. On the other hand, that could be added somewhere else. When GM was constructing the new C8, it made attempts to include the split-window design. Still, according to Chevrolet Performance Exterior Design Director, Tom Peters, these efforts “came across as focused”. The company’s artists couldn’t figure out how to get the split-window design to flow well with the rest of the car’s sharp-edged set-up.

On the flip side, it might be for the best that the automaker left the split-window in its original placement. The 1963 Corvette is considered a classic because of its differentiating feature. The company did away with the split-window design the following year after receiving much flack about the visibility of the rear, unintentionally creating an icon of sorts. The Corvette’s mid-engine design helps in neutralizing some of those concerns since rearward visibility was never on par to start with. At the current moment, it still appears that the split-window wouldn’t mesh well with the C8, but who knows if things will change for the Corvette C9.

How It’s Made: After 60 Years The Mid-Engine Corvette Finally Gets The Limelight

The Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C8, otherwise known as “America’s Sports Car,” has been the symbol of ultimate freedom and adventure for automotive enthusiasts everywhere since its debut. This year marked the first time this supercar was powered by a mid-engine rather than a front-engine, proving enhanced handling abilities. As revolutionary as this may seem, it isn’t the first time the brand has experimented with a mid-engine for the C8. The idea of the new engine started in the early ’60s, and finally picked up steam in 2011.

The production of the first-generation Corvette C1 started in 1953. Its knockout styling made it easy for it to draw the public’s attention. However, General Motors engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov (better known as “Father of the Corvette) envisioned a much brighter future for the car. That same year, the automaker hired Arkus-Duntov after the C1’s debut. After gradually climbing the ranks, he became the brand’s high-performance director in just two years. In 1955, the Corvette was released with an available 4.3-liter V8 engine.

Five years later, Arkus-Duntov orchestrated the CERV I, Chevrolet Engineering’s first research vehicle. Contrasting from the production Corvette, CERV I has a mid-engine layout on par with a Formula 1 racing vehicle. Highlighting the genius of Arkus-Duntov, as he knew that next-generation performance racing cars would eventually build upon a mid-engine chassis structure.

From the early 1960s to the mid-1990s Chevrolet only strummed up at least nine mid-engine prototypes for their Corvette before getting the C8 Corvette ready for production. The carmakers constructed various scale models and three clay renditions in actual size before giving it the final clearance. As far as we know, the Corvette with the spirit of the mid-engine supercar was the out-turn.

Now, at long last, the front-engine finally retires in favor of its successor. Presently, all C8 Corvette models sport a 6.2-liter small-block LT2 V8 engine breathing out 490 horses with 465 lb-ft of torque. If that isn’t enough, the Z51 Performance Package tacks on five more brownie points with both its horsepower and torque. Still staying true to its nature, the car is rear-wheel-drive, though a manual stick isn’t an option. The standard eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox is still beneficial.

According to executive editor Chris Davies of car site, Slash Gear, the C8 Corvette Convertible was visually impressed with the engine’s engine’s supercar-beating merit. “The Stingray leaps ahead like a beast scalded, monstrously quick and with a soundtrack to match,” said Davies. This is indeed a supercar, as it goes from zero to 60 mph in 2.9-seconds and has a top speed of 194 mph.

This month, (Dec, 12), Chevrolet released one of a two-part documentary series “Revolution: The Mid-Engine Corvette Development Story,” in which the company’s design team discuss what inspired the design of their new mid-engine. The second part of this documentary will air next year on January 4th at 1 p.m. ET.

The 2021 Ford Ranger and 2021 Chevrolet Colorado Have An Off-Roading Face-Off

The 2021 Ford Ranger and the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado are two rivals that just can’t quit each other in their mid-sized truck segment, but that’s what makes it so much fun! This time around, it’s a very tight race against the top-spot as they are both very efficient with their towing abilities and customizations. However, one of these brands has a little extra something that the other just can’t compete with, keep reading to find out!

2021 Ford Ranger

The 2021 Ford Ranger is re-introduced for the midsize truck segment with moves that are quite versatile and adaptable in a way that can quickly erase the memory of the previous model. It’s energized by a turbocharged 2.3-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that makes up to 270 horsepower with 310 lb-ft of torque and is paired to a 10-speed automatic transition. This powertrain is the only one that is offered by the two available cabbies, but this doesn’t mean that the powertrain isn’t adept in its abilities. For those who are more focused on carting passengers than actual gear, it’s recommended to opt for the SuperCrew rather than the two close for comfort SuperCab.  The inventive Blind Spot Monitoring has been augmented for towing, and it does this by having the system pay special attention to whatever the truck is hauling. Another exciting option is the Bang & Olufsen 10-speaker Audio System. Available on all models is the brand’s Co-Pilot360 safety suite, though standard on the XLT and Lariat trucks.

2021 Chevrolet Colorado

From the outside looking in, the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado is obviously a truck, but once the driver and their passengers step inside of the vehicle, it will be easy to mistake it for a comfort-focused SUV. The reason for this is because this Chevy truck doesn’t have that overly-energetic bounce that many vehicles in this segment have and it’s also great with steering. Though Colorado provides comfort in its cabin, it certainly doesn’t get too comfortable in pushing out high-ranking performance. Buyers of mid-sized pickups have the unique ability to opt for a diesel powertrain, with the automaker’s 2.8-liter Duramax incredibly skilled with towing and excellent with its mileage. It’s 2.0-liter inline-4 and a 3.6-liter V6 also has 2- and 4-wheel-drive drive systems. Off-road enthusiasts can make use of the Z71 and ZR2 trim levels owing to their rough and tough terrain capabilities. Additionally, the truck has off-roading accessories like a raised suspension, wider track, revamped bumpers, and a serviceable skid plate, that allows for an incredible adventure of a lifetime.

Similarities and Differences

The Ford Ranger and Chevrolet Colorado are comparable with their tough body-frame, varied selection of cabbies and beds, and near-identical towing capacities. With this in mind, one really has to squint to really differentiate one truck from the other, but the 2021 Ranger outranks its rival with its advanced features, fuel economy, as well as the New Tremor package which enhances the truck’s off-road abilities. On the other hand, the 2021 Colorado has the unique advantage of having a diesel option, top-ranking towing, and a noteworthy amount of possible customizations. With the Ranger unable to compete well enough against the Colorado’s diesel, it’s for this reason why it takes the modest but respectable second place trophy in our rankings.

Miami Lakes Chevrolet

Now that you know which off-roader truly takes the cake, why not make the final purchase at Miami Lakes Automall? Our dealership carries a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles, including the 2021 Chevrolet Colorado. Those who are interested in this model or any of our vehicles can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

Chevrolet Might Be Advancing Release Date For The 2021 Corvette C8

The production of the brand-new Chevrolet Corvette C8 has been going through hell and high water to come into completion since 2019. This tumultuous affair started when the United Auto Workers Union arranged a strike and shutdown from state-to-state at GM facilities for about 40 days, putting a pause at the start of production. The global pandemic that followed afterward only worsened the situation.

Presently, it seems as though things are on the up and up for the making of the C8 since Corvette Action Center reports that production has stabilized with two shifts producing an average of 186 cars per day, which is an increase from where it was just a month prior. Due to this, the production start date of the 2021 Corvette is being moved up a lot sooner.

An update of the production was released Thursday of last week (Nov, 6) with General Motors (GM) saying that the making of the 2021 Chevrolet Corvette is now set to start December 8, which is about a month earlier than it was expected that it would begin. It’s plausible that GM might still produce the 2020 and 2021 models at the same time as the automaker is attempting to hit its original 20,000-unit production target for the model year, but this could only happen if the orders prove to be outstanding. In fact, last month, GM took down its configurator for the 2020 Corvette and put up one for the preference of the 2021 Corvette.

The shift from the Corvette production in 2020 to 2021 should be one that is far less stressful, especially since only minute changes have been introduced. On top of this, two new exterior colors have been added as well as new stripe options. There is also a new color scheme in the interior, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and magnetorheological dampers as a standalone option.

To sum up what that means for customers, those who made their purchase for the 2021 Corvette C8 could possibly get their cars sooner rather than later, and in some instances, it could be their new Christmas present…from themselves.  If you ask us, there’s nothing like a new sporty muscle car that indicates a sign that things are looking brighter for the new year.

Cool Features To Look Out For

  • Highly advanced technologies like wireless phone charging, NFC (Near Field Communication), backing for over-the-air updates and a 1080p Performance Data Recorder.
  • Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are now standard.
  • A new Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 Plus system, with an 8.0-inch touchscreen and Bluetooth audio streaming, as well as a 4G LTE mobile hotspot.
  • A Magnetic Ride Control 4.0 suspension system for aiding driving with potholes or slanted driveways.
  • An all-new Full-Length Dual Racing Stripe is available for sprucing up the cosmetics. Specifically comes with blue, orange, red, or yellow stripes. Also has a new gray and yellow color arrangement involved in the options.

The Chevrolet Corvette Becomes The Pace Car For The 2020 Indy 500 For The 17th Time

With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, new ways of living and adjustments have been made in order to slow down the spread of the virus, and one of those ways includes the absence of spectators at various sporting events, specifically in this year’s Indianapolis 500 race. However, fans will still see a familiar face, which is the Chevrolet Corvette acting as the 2020’s pace car for the fourth year in a row and the 17th time overall.

Simply put, the role of a pace car is to set the tone for the racers for at least a couple of laps before the race and then finally turning off to the pits prior to the drop of the green flag. They are also used in cases of caution on the track such as with some crash debris or difficult weather conditions. Therefore, it’s safe to say that this Corvette won’t get its wheels too dirty.

The specific model being used will be the Torch Red Z51 with a spoiler and ground effects package, it will also include exterior accents and available GT2 bucket seats. Unsurprisingly, this Corvette will sport (pun intended) a distinctive Indy 500 livery, however the automaker has not mentioned whether or not a replica package will be available to customers.

GM president Mark Reuss will act as the ceremonial pace car driver leading the field of racecars to the green flag, and said this in a statement:

“It’s truly an honor to have the opportunity to be behind the wheel of the mid-engine Corvette Pace Car at such a historic race as the Indy 500. The 2020 Corvette Stingray is the result of a close collaboration between the Corvette Racing and production engineering teams, setting a new benchmark for supercars around the world.”

Remarkably enough, the C8 Corvette isn’t even the first mid-engine car that will grace the Indy 500 track, as that distinction was already given to the Pontiac Fiero in 1984. Furthermore, along with the 17 Corvette pacers in Indianapolis and a Chevrolet vehicle as performed as a pace car 31 times, which outranks any other automaker starting with the Fleetmaster convertible in 1948.

Initially scheduled for May 24th, organizers planned to postpone the race to the current race date of August 23rd and with a spectator capacity of 50 percent. Unfortunately in June, this number dropped to 25 percent, as the virus has not seen a significant slow down as of yet. Additionally, it was announced that all on-track activities will be inaccessible to the public.

Miami Lakes Chevrolet

For all of you vehicle enthusiasts, you’ll be pleased to know that Miami Lakes Automall has a great abundance of Chevrolet vehicles geared towards different wants and needs, and one of which happens to be a spanking new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray for around $86,000, (plus destination fee).

Another Chevy model that is slightly less pricey, but still just as sporty is our 2020 Chevrolet Camaro, with its highest trim going around $66,000, (plus destination fee). If you are interested in any of these models, feel free to view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

Cool C8 Features To Look Forward To

The arrival of the Chevrolet Corvette C8 is highly anticipated by car enthusiasts all around and next up on its agenda is the development list of the performance variant and the first of its kind. Tracing back from 1963, the Z06 is targeted towards those who intend on whipping their new speed racer on the track. The car certainly has some big shoes to fill from its 2019 predecessor, the C7 Z06. However, we don’t doubt that it will in fact one-up its older sibling, better yet here are some Cool C8 Features To Look Forward To.

Hypersonic Transmission

More than likely, the production version of the Z06 won’t be the same as the C8.R’s Xtrac grand tourer racing transmission. However, the production vehicle will have a 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transaxle gearbox, which is far more reasonable on the main road. Its frenzied power paired with its race-inspired transmission are sure to cause a scene. Additionally, one should see improvements on the straight-line speed as it cuts around corners.

New Aerodynamics And Upgrades

It’s more than clear that the Z06 will get a brand new aerodynamic package, also encompassing active aerodynamics. Not long ago, spy shots were able to catch a glimpse of the new prototypes, which flaunted an immense rear wing, sparking a bit of nostalgia of the Koenigsegg Agera R. It’s been rumored that the wing will be a standard feature, but there is some speculation that it will be apart of the Z07 package. There is also an expectation that two extra packages will be involved and with airflow that is far more intense.

Tires That Never Tire With Their Grip

In order to deliver the utmost power while heightening its grip as it cuts through corners, it’s important that the new Z06 has some tires that are quite clingy on the pavement. There have also been some reports that the brand is making use of  Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R tires, which is sure to achieve the desired result. The Michelin will be wrapped around the 20-inch front wheels, while larger 21-inch wheels are mounted on the back. Furthermore, there is talk that there will be available. light-weight, carbon-fiber wheels.

Significant Upgrades For Motor

The C8 has already proven itself to be content and efficient, especially with its -dynamic- chassis, which aids in its strong grip. Some sources are saying that the Magnetic Ride Control system will be switched out for a version of General Motors Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve (DSSV) system. Even now, it’s being used in different performance models by GM, and has been put to work in motorsport applications. Additionally, brakes will be the center focus, and will probably sport comparisons to the C7 Z06’s ceramic-matrix system.

Super Speedy Performance

Another anticipated feature of the C8 Corvette is overall a faster performance, specifically an even faster rate than 2.8 seconds during its 0-60 mph run. Moreover, with more improvements being made like with air being used to push the car down, a refined suspicion, stronger brakes, and a flat-plane crank engine, it is probable that the new vehicle will turn out with an unmatched level of execution.

Interior

The C8 won’t shy too far away from its Z06 origins with its two-seat and track-centered materials. The cabin will also rock some badging and minimal but strategic accenting. Other materials that will be used include leather, real metal, a likeness of suede, and stitched headliner. It will also come with a removable roof that fits in the Corvette’s trunk. Buyers who choose to upgrade to the 3LT package will be gifted with premium-like materials like sewn leather on many interior surfaces, including carbon-fiber trim.

Miami Lakes Chevrolet

Setbacks came as a result of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and the company was forced to cut down its scheduled production year for its 2021 model.  There is a likelihood that the new model will not arrive until 2022, and when that time comes, be sure to make your purchase at Miami Lakes Chevrolet.

Those who are interested in this vehicle can simply chat with an online representative for further information. Also, feel free to also check out other great models at our dealership, such as the Silverado or Tahoe, until you find something that suits you best!
