The Affordable Chevy Bolt
The 2023 Chevrolet Bolt will soon serve as the most inexpensive electric vehicle that can be bought in North America.
Recently, the parent company, General Motors (GM) released pricing for the upcoming 2023 model. The entry-level 1LT and better-supplied 2LT models are going for $26,595* and $29,795* respectively, which the company says is a price reduction of $5,900 per model as opposed to last year.
The larger Bolt EUV will get an even bigger cut, (nominally speaking), with $6,300.
The price for the regular Bolt EV model signifies a considerable price cut of 18.5% from a year ago, during a time when everything from components to labor costs are seeing a considerable rise in the country.
GM is even saying that with this large price cut, no features have been taken out or cut out compared to the 2021 model.
“Nothing has been removed,” GM product specialist Shad Balch told the Detroit Free Press. “This reflects our ongoing desire to make sure Bolt EV/EUV is competitive in the marketplace. As we’ve said, affordability has always been a priority for these vehicles.”
While pricing for 2023 has not been announced yet, the upcoming Nissan Leaf, which was the most affordable EV offered in the States, has a starting price of $27,400, (plus destination fee). If you’re not including the federal tax credit of $7,500 that Nissan still accounts for, but GM doesn’t, the 2023 Bolt EV is the more affordable car in the States.
Technically speaking, the Bolt EV is the cheapest electric model in America when it goes on sale next year, not considering the federal tax credit (bringing the Nissan Leaf down to a considerable $19,900). The troubling news for Nissan is that its cumulative total U.S. sales for the Lead model are close to 175,000 units, and when it reaches 200,000, the threshold for the federal tax credit will be cut in half.
Another disadvantage for the Nissan Leaf is that it only has 149 miles of range (according to the EPA), whilst the cheapest Bolt EV has a brand-estimated 259 miles. Buyers would need to upgrade to the Nissan Leaf S Plus in order to even reach 226 miles of EPA-rated range, but that model has a starting price of $32,400, (plus destination fee).
The main idea here is that the company is making many moves to bring an affordable, mass-market EV option with a suitable electric range to the average consumer who wants to transition to an electric model. This is part of the market with a slew of options, with the Nissan Leaf S Plus acting as its only competitor. Alternatively, Fisker (FSR) may seem promising for its electric Ocean EV, which will start below $40,000, (plus destination fee) when it makes its way sometime in 2023.
If the White House ends up hitting its goal for the U.S. to achieve its sales of fully electric cars by 2030, North American buyers will need several more affordable electrified options.

The 2023 Chevrolet and Suburban have become the latest vehicles of General Motors to offer the brand’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist technology. However, this is more of an intention rather than a definite reality…
“Due to current supply-chain shortages, certain features—including Super Cruise—have limited and late availability,” a spokesperson wrote in an email to Car and Driver. When asked by car review site, Car and Driver if Chevrolet may eventually need to push the debut of the Super Cruise technology in the Tahoe and Suburban to the 2024 model year, the same spokesperson replied that Chevy is “continuing to monitor chip availability and will make this determination when our business deems appropriate in the model year cycle.”
It seems clear to use that Chevrolet is remaining quite optimistic about its ability to get the necessary amount of semiconductor chips to get the Super Cruise system to the full-sized Tahoe and full-size Suburban SUVs for their 2023 model year. If not, it’s likely that we would have heard an announcement from the company pushing back this information until they got a better grasp on handling this pickle with the semiconductor chips.
On the other hand, some are speculating that there is the possibility that Chevrolet has released this information under the pretense of hoping for the best-case scenario while preparing for the worst. If the worst does indeed happen, and the company is forced to pull Super Cruise from the options sheet of the two big SUVs, then buyers of the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban will have a new car but with very minute changes for that model year. This includes three new exterior hues added to the two vehicle’s color options (Silver Sage Metallic, Sterling Gray Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat), and a new accessor grill that does away with the classic bowtie badge, which will be available on LS, LT, RST, and Premier trims.
Having said that, if Chevrolet is successful, in fact, successful at implementing the Super Cruise on the 2023 Tahoe and Suburban, then buyers of these SUVs should expect to spend a pretty penny…but money well spent, on the Level 2 driver-assist system, especially since it’s only meant for the high-ranking Premier and High Country trims.
In the meantime, here are some other features to expect. The 2023 Tahoe can be expected to be filled with comfort features and conveniences such as a 10.2-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, onboard Wi-Fi, voice commands, and an incredible amount of 8 USB ports.
The 2023 Suburban can be expected to have just as many on-board features, along with a longer wheelbase, extra cargo room, and additional space for long-legged occupants to stretch while sitting in second or third-row seats.

Bolt EV and Bolt EUV
The parent company of Chevrolet, General Motors (GM), launched its new ad campaign, Friday (April, 8), with the hopes of rebuilding trust in its customers. This process of gaining back trust is necessary when regarding the Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV, as numerous production halts and pricey battery recalls pestered the company for more than a year.
Last year, multiple reports of battery fires forced the multinational automaker to issue a hefty recall for all Bolt EVs that were made at the start of production in 2017. It was an estimated $2 billion in the cost of swapping out batteries created by its partner LG Energy Solution.
Twenty-four incidents were made aware to federal regulators, while GM said that they were aware of 19 related car problems.
Last week marked the start of a new rollout of ads via a national television campaign…that doesn’t mention the recall.
According to Newsweek, Shad Balch, director of Chevrolet communications, said that the campaign is intended to show the ease and convenience of having an electric vehicle.
One spot conveys the Bolt’s range to the viewers’ by showing a driver listening to his mother’s chatter-box during a long drive. Meanwhile, another ad titled “Life Changes,” shows a mom-to-be learning about the charging process.
In regards to what potential buyers should consider when thinking about purchasing Bolt despite its previous battery issues, Balch said that the EV represents a focus on gaining consumer trust and a positive entry point for drivers considering swapping their gasoline-powered cars for fully-electric ones.
“We have kept our customers first in every step of this process and will continue to reaffirm that commitment,” he said. “For consumers we will focus on the attributes that make Bolt EV/EUV the perfect choice to switch from gas to electric: long-range EV loaded with technology at an affordable price.”
He also said that the company is certain that it will set a sales record for the Bolt and transcend that projected record in 2023.
Last year, the company sold 24,828 Bolt EVs and EUVs.
It was in November 2020 when the first recall notice went out, with GM saying that 50,932 vehicles that were produced from 2017 to 2019 had a fire risk, warning its customers not to charge their cars with high-voltage lithium-ion batteries to full capacity.
It was after a series of reported fires that involved the battery, the company lengthened its recall in August 2021 to involve every Bolt made since 2017.
Although customers waited for the defective batteries to be replaced, the company instructed drivers to lessen their battery capacity to 90 percent, keeping the battery charged to 70 miles or range, at the minimum, along with parking their vehicles outside and not charging them overnight.
In December, the American car manufacturer released a software update that automatically sets the Bolt’s top charge limit to 80 percent, enabling drivers to leave the car charging overnight and to park indoors.
Throughout this process, production was also halted due to supply chain issues intruding with the manufacturing of replacement batteries. This caused GM to issue production halts for the Bolt line, which was extended until production restarted this month, in April.

2023 Chevy Blazer
Towards the beginning of this year, Chevrolet revealed that they would release their mid-size Blazer in 2023, in an electrified form. However, before this SUV dumps the gasoline pump, the automaker is still giving its standard Blazer a revamp for next year, involving the enhancement of its styling on the outer body and augmenting the interior with a larger touchscreen.
While the visual details for the upcoming Blazer are nearly inconspicuous, the interior shakes things up with its high-mounted LED running lights, which are sleeker and bleed into a new grille design. This grille design is now mated to the central headlight unit through a C-formed trim piece.
Going to the back, you’ll see that the taillights receive new LED light signatures. There are also new available wheel designs: 18-, 20-, and 21-inch. Along with these new kicks are a slew of paint colors, which encompass Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat.
Inhouse, all upcoming Blazers will receive a 10.0-inch infotainment screen, which is an upgrade of 2 inches. It’s also getting wireless charging capability. The RS model will also get a Nightshift Blue interior. The mid-sizer will continue to have its offering of a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four, with an output of 228 horsepower, or a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 308 hp. Both powertrains will still be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel-drive (FWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) offerings.
SS Performance Variant
Recently, the division of General Motors announced that on top of its electrified version for the Blazer, it will be releasing a performance-centered SS trim. A teaser video that was released last week, (March 9), showed the SUV following a bundle of other announcements regarding electrics, encompassing the GMC Hummer EV and Chevy Silverado EV pickup trucks, which all use the brand’s Ultium battery technology.
A short time ago, Chevrolet showed us the first images of its Equinox EV, an electric SUV joining the company’s other compact crossover in their electrified form. Strutting a unique design, the newest Equinox will go on sale by the fall of next year. It was also at this time that the automaker mentioned its EV version of the Blazer, bringing along with it a performance SS model.
It’s worth noting that the teaser video doesn’t reveal too much. It opens up showing a charger being disconnected from a port behind the front left wheel. The second shot shows the charging port while also revealing black plastic cladding around the wheel well and what seems to be a sharply sloped hood. One can also get a quick glimpse of the Ss badge at the button of one of the wheel’s six spokes.
Chevrolet says that the Blazer will be its first EV to receive a performance SS badge when it’s introduced later this year. While the company didn’t explicitly mention this, it’s presumed that that EV version will be offered in a way that’s centered on comfort. The Blazer SS is set to go on sale in the Spring of next year, and it’s also expected that it will include the Ultium batteries.
The exact pricing will be revealed as we get closer to the on-sale date, but it likely won’t change too much from the current Blazer’s price ranging from $34,595, (plus destination fee) to $45,195, (plus destination fee).

Automakers near and far are slowly making preparations to redevelop their platforms from gasoline-powered vehicles to those that are either fully electric or hybrids. This is especially so for pickup trucks, with this segment on course to becoming the most popular space for EV models. Some examples include Ford’s F-150 Lighting, Rivian R1T, Tesla’s Cybertruck, and more.
Another automaker throwing its hat into the electric pickup race is General Motors (GM), as they’ve already confirmed the resurgence of its Hummer moniker under the GMC brand, but as a fully electric truck. The main focus on the construction of this vehicle will be its 1,000 horsepower output and “luxury off-roading”, but for buyers who are looking for something a bit simpler and rugged, they can opt for the newly-teased Chevrolet Silverado.
Last week Wednesday, (Oct.6), Chevrolet said that it would introduce the electric version of the Silverado truck at the Consumer Electronics Show in 2022. The event, which is held annually in Las Vegas, Nevada, is one of the world’s prominent industry trade shows. Mary Barra, GM’s CEO is set to make the full reveal of the pickup in January, but in the meantime, here’s what you should know.
First and foremost, the Silverado will be powered by the brand’s new Ultium battery system. These packs will support the company’s next-generation electric models all across its brands, providing energy storage that range from 50 kilowatt-hours to 200 kWh. GM has said before that these batteries will provide “up to 400 miles or more on a full charge”, which mirrors the figure that the Silverado was given. This gives us reason to believe that the pickup’s battery will be the same size as the electrified Hummer.
The Silverado will be produced at GM’s Factory Zero plant by the side of the Hummer EV and the untitled GMC electric pickup.
Another point of interest is the truck’s glass roof. This optional transparent type of ceilings feeds off the recent trend of fixed glass roofs geared on vehicles such as the Tesla Model 3 and Ford Mustang Mach-E. The Hummer EV also sports a congruous “Infinity Roof”, at the same time, the Silverado’s roof will be mounted rather than removable like the Hummer’s top-frame.
In August, GM announced that the Silverado EV will involve a set of kicks going up as far as 24-inches, which is the largest pair of wheels that has ever been offered on a pickup from Factory Zero. This vehicle will also encompass available four-wheel steering, which in the same way as the electric Hummer’s system, can aid in maneuvering its way in tight spaces by lessening the turning radius and possibly even positioning the truck diagonally.
Mark Reuss, president of General Motors, made his expectations clear during a recent press call that its target customers for the battery-powered version of the Silverado will contrast from conventional pickup buyers. This would make sense as to why the company chose the CES to showcase the truck as opposed to a standalone event, but it may also indicate that what GM anticipates the truck market to evolve into as it transitions even more towards a luxury segment while keeping a considerable amount of utility. The carmaker also revealed the availability of a fleet version, which essentially is the draft horse within the lineup and usually has the groundwork as the retail model, just more centered on functionality and not so much about interior opulence.
GM still has more in store with its Silverado, some that we’ll have to wait a little longer for. However, with recent revelations relating to the company’s semi-autonomous driving functions, the pickup may be likely to become a knockout with future pickup buyers. Be on the lookout in January for the unveiling of the truck at the CES, and in the meantime…

Recently, the Chevrolet company published a design patent that demonstrates what could possibly be the next-generation of their Chevrolet Equinox electric SUV. The revamped platform will alter its design and technologies, and we can guess that this new crossover will have to carry a different moniker, but for the time being, it’s certain that this mid-size vehicle will be the electric equivalent of the current model.
Taking into account General Motors’ (GM) position on electrics versus hybrids, we can deduce that these recent publications of the Equinox crossover are a direct reflection of a vehicle that totally does away with relying on gasoline. To further explain, the car company already said that it wants to hone in on efforts towards vehicles that are fully electric, and that its studies reveal customers don’t particularly love hybrids.
Moreover, the illustrations show that the vehicle has a closed front end, which almost mirrors that of the Chevrolet Bolt EV and EUV, along with the Cadillac Lyriq. On top of this, the drawings don’t depict that it will make room for an exhaust system, which is obviously needed for a hybrid vehicle.
On the other hand, other elements that support our theory that this electric Equinox to-be. For example, last November, CEO Mary Barra, said that GM would upgrade its financial undertaking to electrics and self-driving vehicles of $7 billion with the aim of releasing 30 new electrics worldwide by 2025. Even before this statement, the automaker said the GMC Hummer EV pickup truck, and eventually went on to develop the Hummer EV product line together with the Hummer EV SUV.
GM also disclosed the refashioned 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV and its brand-new and larger relative, the Bolt EUV, coupled with the upcoming Cadillac Lyriq luxury crossover. That being the case, Barra went further in explaining that the ongoing microchip shortage won’t affect the company’s rollout for their electric vehicles, however, it has slowed down production of the upgraded 2022 Chevy Equinox SUV until the middle of August.
It’s almost a given that this type of vehicle will make use of the company’s Ultium Drive And Motor Technology, which are made for a wide range of implementations, such as front-wheel-drive, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, and can even be utilized by vehicles of high-performance and off-road capabilities. This highlights Barra’s view that GM has the ability to “put everyone in an EV.”
Although the patent was indeed filed by SAIC-GM (Shanghai General Motors Company) for the market for China, most of the Ultium Drive workings like the castings, gears and assemblies will be constructed with parts that are globally sourced at GM’s current global propulsion facilities on collective, adjustable assembly lines, which means that this model may eventually wander on to the States; Which is safe to say would be aligned with GM’s motivations for global coverage.
While we’re waiting for the new and improved Chevrolet Equinox, as well as other electrified vehicles in the works, Miami Lakes Automall has a plethora of vehicles like the gasoline version of their crossover SUV, as well as a variety of other different models that range in various shapes and prices. Those who are interested in any of our vehicles can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is a mean and aggressive pickup that earns its props for its off-road capabilities. The midsize pickup’s spool valve shocks are serious executors of their job, while the underside is geared up to be able to tackle more difficult situations and increase function. The high-quality Colorado model is just what the doctor ordered on a nice off-roading day, and the optional turbodiesel engine isn’t too shabby either. Now it appears that the automaker wants to implement this work of genius on its full-size 2022 Silverado, which would move a step above the Trail Boss trim in the lineup.
It’s questionable whether this upcoming Silverado ZR2 will increase in its strength, but decrease in its speed, or perhaps get the best of both worlds. For the moment, we’ll have to wait until the automaker releases the engine specs, especially because it’s certain that it will have particular features that will be unlike many pick-ups on the market, if not all of them.
One thing that should be expected is that the shock absorbers of the Colorado’s Multimatic-acquired Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve play a key role, as they make way for highly accurate damping control, better cooling, and increased travel. In the Colorado, there is an extra spool valve that is only involved during very large suspension movements. Altogether, the dampers perform better over a vast range of conditions rather than a conventional shock, and that’s whether it’s on or off-road.
Elements that make the Colorado ZR2 stand out are the elevated lift, augmented armor, rock sliders, and re-shaped bumpers to boost angles for approach and departure. There is also a toughened fully-boxed frame, along with its standard front and rear locking differentials. It’s certain that the Silverado ZR2 will have a better lift in contrast to the Trail Boss, brawnier skid plates, and similar number treatment as its miniature family member. The extra frame support may or may not be needed. Judging from Chevrolet’s teaser video, it seems that Silverado ZR2 will keep its rear leaf spring setup, like the Colorado, opposed to employing the arrangement of the F-150 Raptor and Ram TRX.
As for the engine components of the Silverado ZR2, more than likely the regular L87 6.2-liter V-8 that produces a healthy 420 hp and 460 lb-ft will be used, and will still be a worthy competitor against the Ram Rebel’s 5.7-liter.
One should know that the Colorado ZR2 also offers a Duramax turbo diesel option, and if the automaker wants, it can also offer the Silverado ZR2 with that powertrain’s larger sibling: the highly effective Duramax I-6 turbodiesel. Though it only produces 277 horsepower it makes up for it with 460 lb-ft of torque, and also has excellent fuel economy figures.
We should know more about what Chevrolet has in store for its truck enthusiasts by this fall but in the meantime…Miami Lakes Automall is selling vehicles in various shapes and sizes from the automaker such as the Silverado and the Colorado trucks. Those who are interested in any of our vehicles can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

General Motors subsidiary Chevrolet recently brought on a small selection of new color options for their 2022 C8 Corvette Stingray and is even offering a limited appearance package based on the 2021 IMSA GTLM champion C8.R race car. The company also enhanced the sporty vehicle’s fuel and engine management interworks, however, this doesn’t mean that the C8 is going to muster up any more power than it already has. On top of this, its starting price has been heightened to $62,195, (plus destination fee), which is over $1000 more than the 2021 model year.
The upcoming Corvette’s engine is a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter LT2 V-8, which is geared with a new fuel pump and fuel injections that gives way for running higher fuel pressures. The output remains the same at 490 horsepower (really 495 if you have the performance exhaust) with 470 lb-ft of torque. It’s geared with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. In Car and Drivers testing, the Stingray got up to 60 mph in 2.8 seconds and zoomed through the quarter-mile at 122 mph in 11.2 seconds. The more advanced Active Fuel Management system makes it possible for the cylinder deactivation to be able to perform at lower speeds, however, estimates regarding the fuel economy have not yet been released.
Limited to just 1000 cars is the new IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package. Its starting price is $6595 and is available on 3LT models fixed with the Z51 Performance package. It also has two available colors, which are Accelerate Yellow w/ gray accents or Hypersonic Gray w/ yellow accents. Finished in the Carbon Flash color are the spoilers and mirror, while the wheels are painted black w/ the brand’s Racing “Jake” skull emblem on the center caps and yellow brakes.
These special-edition models have an exclusive Strike Yellow and Sky Cool Gray interior with GT2 buckets seats paired with yellow seat belts. One can also select the special Competition seats, and there is even a C8.R Special Edition numbered plaque that you’ll find between the chairs. They are accompanied by a distinctive car cover that mirrors the style of the Corvette C8. race car.
What’s more, Corvette cars that aren’t geared with the track-equipped Z51 package are now available to order with a new low rear spoiler, along with a Z51 front splitter.
Excitingly enough, the C8.R race car was revealed for the first time at Detroit’s Belle Isle on Saturday, June 12. Eager Chevy enthusiasts of the upcoming C8 Stingray, as well as the IMSA GTLM Championship Edition package, can place their order on July 1st.

Three Chevrolet vehicles are losing their entry-level L trims for the 2022 model year, and they are the Traverse, Blazer, and Malibu. It has also been revealed that the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse won’t even have the L trim as an available option, which now makes the LS trim the new base model.
The current 2021 Traverse SUV offers almost all of the same standard features for the L and LS models. The main distinction between the two is that the LS trim has a lot more available options for buyers to choose from. For example, one can bring on either 18-inch or 20-inch gloss wheels, specifically black-painted aluminum wheels, along with a black finish grille and black badging on the exterior. Inward, the Traverse LS also has available cargo nets, floor liners, and packages that you wouldn’t find on the previous base models. It is expected that the LS trim should continue to have all of these aforesaid conveniences available for the upcoming model year.
One con, however, of the 2022 Traverse L’s retirement is that more than likely, the mid-size crossover will now have a higher starting price. The 2021 Traverse L is currently priced at $30,995, (plus destination fee), while the 2021 LS is priced at $34,395, (plus destination fee). It has not yet been confirmed by the automaker whether the starting price of the LS trim will stay the same for the following model year.
The 2022 Chevy Traverse will also get a slightly refashioned design for the exterior, which will encompass modified headlamps and taillamps, a revamped front fascia, and developed grille options. Additionally, buyers will be able to select between Cherry Red Tintcoat, Northsky Blue Metallic, and Silver Sage Metallic for the three new paint colors. This makes up for the fact that Cajun Red Tintcoat, Satin Steel Metallic, and Graphite Metallic will no longer be a part of the color palette.
The Chevrolet Safety Assist package is filled with driver-assistance technologies, which will be standard on all 2022 Traverse models. Our favorite safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist w/ lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.
The standard automatic emergency system will intuitively apply the brakes if the system senses an impending collision and the driver doesn’t react. Lane-keeping assist (also standard) warns drivers if their vehicle is drifting too much in the other lane and also has the means to keep the SUV centered. Moreover, the optional blind-spot monitoring warns the driver if there are other vehicles on the side.
Lastly, drivers will be able to connect his or her phone to the infotainment system thanks to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. A couple more exciting comforts include the brand’s subscription-based OnStar-connected services with 4G LTE and in-vehicle Wi-Fi, which both come standard.
When the time comes to purchase the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse SUV, be sure to do it at Miami Lakes Automall. We carry an extensive range of vehicles from the brand in a variety of different styles and prices. 2022 Bolt and Bolt EUV Police Cruiser
The 2022 Chevrolet Bolt, as well as its SUV version, the Bolt EUV crossover, is offering a brand-new, factory-fixed Special Service Vehicle (SSV) package, making them a highly important feature for law enforcement offices that are trying to make the shift towards electric vehicles. Having said that, it’s highly unlikely that you’ll see these vehicles being used in high-speed chases. The parent company, General Motors (GM), tend to serve the agencies this technology for parking control and detective cars, however, Police Pursuit Vehicles (PPVs) are cop cars that are tougher and have more quickness to them.
The automaker didn’t have to make a wealth of changes to ready the Bolt and Bolt EUV for public duty. As stated by car site, GM Authority, the SSV package involves two extra electrical circuits, one that measures 20 amps and the other with 30 amps, for things regarding strobe lights and police radios. The Bolt SSV group will also encompass a surveillance mode that turns off lights from the exterior and in the interior to maximize inconspicuousness during nighttime stakeouts.
With the shift to meter-mobile, the electrics don’t lose anything in exchange for range. The Bolt SSV can travel up to 259 miles between charges, while the EUV SSV can reach 247 miles. Obviously meant for support undertakings, the non-pursuing law enforcement vehicles maximum speed of 93 miles per hour.
The SSV-equipped EVs are only attainable for orders having to do with fleet or government, somewhat geared to try and satisfy civilian oversight communities. For instance, 16-inch wheels are a standard feature, at the same time, SSV isn’t offered with the Comfort, Driver Confidence, or Convenience packages (bundling features like leather, blind-spot monitoring, heated and ventilated seats, and other amenities). Regardless, the Bolt SSV involves a power driver’s seat, complete with a four-way adjustable lumbar, so it has a bit of happiness during a rather serious event on the job.
As great as they are, the electric hatchback and SUV aren’t the pioneering vehicles that have been offered to government agencies. Ford brought in the Police Responder sedan, which is a cop-fitted Fusion hybrid until sometime this year, and swapped it with the adventurous Police Interceptor Utility hybrid. Some municipalities also make use of the electrics such as the Nissan Leaf, as it’s helpful for duties surrounding traffic control and parking. Yet and still, the Bolt and Bolt EUV just might be the first specifically geared all fully electric law enforcement vehicles.
Miami Lakes Chevrolet
As for the rest of us average citizens, the 2022 Bolt EV and Bolt EUV encompass a variety of gadgets and gizmos for us to take advantage of like the LED headlights and taillights, cruise control, a 10.2-inch touchscreen, and a configurable 8.0-inch color gauge cluster, cruise control, and a dual-level charging cord.
More specifically, the EUV has the brand’s Super Cruise technology, which allows for hand-free driving about 200,000 miles on North American and Canadian highways. It’s worth noting that you shouldn’t take this as an opportunity to sleep, since the system will activate visible and audible alerts to notify the driver to take control of the larger Bolt.
