Miami Lakes Automall 2019 Chevrolet Silverado Configurator Build

Are you ready for your own 2019 Chevrolet Silverado? An icon of the automaker, this pickup truck has made a name for itself over the last 100 years. The Chevrolet Silverado even got a special Centennial Edition in 2017, commemorating 100 years of Chevy pickup trucks. 100 years, and the good news still keeps pouring in. For one thing, Chevrolet has introduced a special edition for the 2019 model year that literally give us goosebumps – the 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss Z71 turned into the Chevrolet Hennessey Goliath. Now, with the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado heading to dealerships, consumers can finally build their own.

Building Your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado

Although shipped out, the 2019 Chevy Silverado is currently being delivered in low quantity (as of November 8, 2018). Dealership lots will receive more as orders are placed, but for now, enjoy the thought of building one. Known as the “all-new” Silverado, being in its fourth generation for 2019, the configurator (bit.ly/2DtM9y1) has been designed to show off some of the new features and available options, like modern technology or an off-road package.

Although the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado has a starting MSRP of $28,300 (plus destination fee), the first build to pop up in the configurator is for $49,795 (plus destination fee). This will give consumers an idea of the differences something as simple as the cab size, drivetrain, or engine can make, before even a trim is chosen. The default setup is a double cab with a standard bed, four-wheel drive, and the 5.3-liter EvoTec V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM). Changing either of these will show the consumer the new net price in the top right in real-time.

Why You Shouldn’t Perform Your Own Vehicle Repairs

Vehicle repairs can be expensive, yet there’s no way around having them done. If you ignore the problem for too long, you’ll just have even more problems down the road — problems that may be irreversible and cost you the investment of your vehicle. You may be tempted to perform your own repairs to save a little money, but that would be a mistake.

Here are a few reasons why you should always bring your car into a service shop, such as the one at Miami Lakes Chevrolet, one of the top Chevy dealers in Miami:

You Could Make a Mistake

Of course, the most important reason not to perform your own vehicle repairs is that you could make a mistake. No matter how much you read or how many YouTube videos you watch, you can’t perform vehicle repairs without the proper education and training. Vehicle engines and parts are just too complex to learn by reading a few tutorials over a weekend. Some mistakes might just be learning experiences, but others could cost you your car.

You Could Miss Something

Vehicle repairs often require a bit of detective work. The problem may not be immediately obvious. Even if you find something that clearly needs to be fixed, it could just be a symptom of an even larger problem. Again, you need the right training and experience. Without it, you could easily overlook something very important, leading to even more damages for your vehicle.

You Could Void Your Warranty

Some warranties make stipulations for how a vehicle must be cared for or repaired, including taking it to an authorized service center or a dealership for repairs. If you try to perform your own repairs, you could end up voiding your warranty. Even if you have a problem with the car that would have been covered by the warranty, you will end up out of pocket for it.

Your vehicle is too important an investment to take the risk of performing your own repairs. As one of the top Chevy dealers in Miami, Miami Lakes Chevrolet offers exceptional service for your Chevy or other vehicle, as well as competitive prices on quality parts. We can get you back on the road quickly while also saving you money.

Why You Should Buy an Electric Vehicle

Chevy dealers in Miami have a wide selection of quality vehicles from which to choose. While you might first think of rugged trucks when you think of Chevrolet, the manufacturer has actually also made gains in the electric vehicle market.

If you haven’t already checked out the Chevy Volt and you aren’t yet driving an electric vehicle, here are a few reasons why you should:

Save on Gas Costs

When you drive an electric vehicle, you won’t have to buy gas at all. If you’re like most people who have to fill up at least once a week, that could save you $60 or more per week, or more than $3,000 per year. That adds up to quite a lot over the life of the car.

Not only are electric vehicles affordable, but they lower your overall costs of car ownership, as well.

Help the Environment

By cutting back on your gas consumption, you’ll also be helping to do your part for the environment when you drive an electric vehicle. Gas consumption contributes to the depletion of natural, non-renewable resources. Electric vehicles and hybrid vehicles are helping to preserve those resources.

Other research is looking into the use of renewable resources like corn and ethanol as fuel sources.

Embrace the Future

Electric and hybrid technology is the future of the automotive industry. It may take some time before it becomes the norm, but it is inevitable that it will. While vehicles may still exist that consume gas, it is likely those vehicles will use alternative sources of fuel, such as biofuels. Electric vehicles are part of a push to use alternative energy sources that also includes solar and wind technology for homes and businesses.

Head down to Miami Lakes Chevrolet, one of the top Chevy dealers in Miami, to learn more about the Chevrolet Volt and to test drive it. Should you decide to buy a Volt, you will gain many benefits from driving an electric vehicle, and you will feel good about doing your part for protecting the environment. You’ll also be ahead of the curve, as this technology is sure to become the norm before too long.
