4 Reasons to Consider The 2022 Chevy Camaro

Friday, June 10th, 2022

As of late, Chevrolet has been busy updating its lineup with new improvements and more features. Iconic vehicles like the Chevy Corvette have received new powerful engines to help keep them ahead of the competition. Chevrolet has also been working on producing electric vehicles like the 2024 Chevy Equinox EV and 2023 Chevy Silverado EV. With so much going on, it’s a surprise that Chevy has still been able to keep up with some of its older vehicles. One such vehicle is the Chevy Camaro which is reportedly set to be replaced by an electric sedan. This coincides with General Motor’s goal to transition to an electric lineup by 2035, but if the Camaro is phased out, many fans will surely miss the sports car. As an affordable sports car, the Camaro has remained iconic with its great handling and high performance. As a sort of last hoo-rah, we’ll detail four reasons why the 2022 Chevy Camaro should be still considered despite the strong push toward EVs.

1. The 2022 Chevy Camaro Has Great Performance

The 2022 Chevy Camaro offers several engine choices. These include the base 2.0L turbocharged engine that’s capable of 275 horsepower and 295lb-ft torque. There’s also a 3.6L V6 engine capable of 335 horsepower and 284lb-ft of torque and a 6.2L supercharged V8 engine that’s capable of 650 horsepower and 650lb-ft of torque. These engines depend on the Camaro trim level, but all offer quick acceleration with 0-60 mph times of 3.5 seconds to 5.4 seconds. The Camaro also has a dual-exhaust option as well as magnetic ride control which provides unparalleled stability and responsiveness.

2. The 2022 Camaro Has a Noteworthy Interior

Looking inside the 2022 Chevy Camaro, owners will note a modern interior with quality materials. The front seats are comfortable and the Camaro features a host of driver-assist features. These include a head-up display that provides drivers with data such as mph, rpm, and fuel level. Drivers can also make use of a driver mode selector which features several modes like sport, snow/ice, tour, and track. There’s also a performance data recorder that lets drivers keep a record of their time if they take to a track. For its infotainment system, the Camaro has an 8-inch touchscreen that supports Chevrolet’s Infotainment 3 system. This system is intuitive and supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

3. The 2022 Camaro is Reliable

A third reason to consider the 2022 Camaro is its reliability. Chevrolet offers a powertrain warranty for five years or 60,000 miles as well as a limited warranty for three years or 36,000 miles. Aside from this, according to its reliability ratings, the Camaro has a score of 80 out of 100. For a high-performance sports car, that’s quite impressive as it means owners will save on trips to a mechanic.

4. The 2022 Chevy Camaro is Affordable

The fourth reason to consider the 2022 Chevy Camaro is its affordability. The high-performance sports car starts at an MSRP of $25,000 (plus destination fee). For a strong muscle car, this is a great price point given its capabilities. Those looking for more power and performance can opt for more expensive trims like the LT1 which has an MSRP of $34,000 (plus destination fee). From there, owners can go even higher in trims all the way to the ZL1 which starts at an MSRP of $63,000 (plus destination fee). For its power and performance, the 2022 Chevy Camaro is a great choice as a sports car that should still be considered in a wave of EVs.

Chevrolet has a brand new package coming for the new 2021 Chevrolet Camaro. The Chevy favorite is adding a new paint color, confirmed in a release found in the General Motors fleet ordering guides. Going into detail on the new “Wild Cherry Design Package”, this is a color that can be found on the exterior with a darker, deeper shade than the Chevrolet Camaro’s current Garnet Red color base. This new package will be available for customers to add to nearly all 2021 Camaro trims when the Camaro Wild Cherry package is officially released for both the coupe and convertible forms of the Camaro. This change is expected to debut with the 2021 Camaro, as this is only an appearance package that introduces two main options for buyers.

More Insight On the Wild Cherry Package

There are two specific levels to the package that customers can opt into. While the package color images haven’t been released yet, we’ve learned that every trim in the Camaro, except for the 1LT and ZL1 trim can add the package. This package works in the coupe variation and the convertible version has all except the ZL1 trim. Owners of the 2021 Chevy Camaro will have the first level option that adds the Wild Cherry paint, including five-spoke wheels, plus a Camaro fender badge. The appearance of black hash stripes is added from the front fender through the back. Owners can opt for the second-tier of the package that adds Carbon Flash ground effects. The addition of a black fuel filler door with visible carbon fiber insert, black suede-covered knee pads and the choice of a center stripe. For the 2LT and 3LT the stripe can be black or silver-colored, whereas the 3SS can be black metallic or silver. This addition is included in the pricing, but the announcement did not include a price point for either package offering.

More News From Chevrolet

The Shock and Steel Special Edition will be removed eventually as this new package makes its debut later in 2020. The 2021 Chevrolet Camaro will include a $4,500 Track Performance package that adds a 10-speed automatic transmission, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Shock Package, which will be ending its run after the 2021 model year. Chevrolet has not announced when the new Wild Cherry package will debut, but we’re happy to share we have the popular 2019 Chevrolet Camaro as well as the new 2020 Chevrolet Camaro ready for our readers to check out. Secure them while you can with our help today!

Can The Corvette C8 Break A 10-Second Quarter-Mile Time?

Some diehard Chevrolet Corvette racing enthusiasts were skeptical about a mid-engine Corvette before its debut. For those that were committed to using their Corvette to fly down a drag strip, they can now opt to switch things up as one automotive specialist has done. Taking the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette, which is the first to feature a 15-inch wheel conversion, one Texan specialist team saw room for improvement. Let’s break down the changes to the new “C8” that has perked the ears of many racing enthusiasts in the Chevrolet community. Can the 2020 Corvette improve its time to go under 10 seconds on the strip?

How to Improve the Corvette For Drag Races

The thought behind changing up the all-new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is not taken lightly. With the first move, a change was made to see the 15-inch wheels being moved and pushed back to ride on the rear axle. This allows for the considerably more generous tire sidewall to help provide traction for that all-important jump once a drag race starts. Note that the Chevy wheels come with a beadlock feature. For those who are used to drag racing, they are used to rubber being burned, but this move should help keep the rubber from burning fast. This move was supplied by Mickey Thompson. Anything to help tires keep rubber longer is a good thing. At least, that is the hope by this automotive specialist.

With the larger wheels added to the front, there will be more help to not only preserve a great start, but there is a chance to save the tires from burning out faster. The thicker 18-inch tires are built with a narrow form, as these skinnier tires generate less friction as the machine flies down the drag strip.

How to Make the C8 Fly Down the Strip

Many Drag Pack options have been compiled to improve the speed of the Corvette when racing them. Some have even involved 18-inch wheels on all four corners, but this mix of 18-inch and 15-inch tires converging is a first. Of course, this meant extra mods, since the smaller wheels required different brakes, along with added suspension work. The work was finished by Texan specialist LG Motorsport. Their work on the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is unique and impressive. They also took the extra step to render the vehicle with stronger axles as the extra-sticky hardware increases stress on the drivetrain, so this modification works to help relieve that pressure.

Not Everything Needed Modifications

In order to push the 2020 Corvette on a drag strip, no changes were needed to improve the 6.2-Liter V8 powertrain. However, the Corvette is not different from any vehicle that races and just like a vehicle in any Fast and the Furious movie, LG Motorsport added a nitrous setup. While numerous developers have included power adders to the LT2 motor of the C8, LG Motorsport has not changed the factory ECU. Looking to break the record for the fastest C8 Corvette in the quarter-mile is a task that has competition as the time has recently been improved upon. The fastest time ever recorded is just 10.495s at a ridiculously fast speed of 130.89 mph. Not quite under 10-seconds but this might happen someday with more modifications. We’re sure all this talk about drag racing in a Corvette gives our readers the need for speed.

Is The Chevrolet Camaro To Receive Mid-Engine Like The C8 Corvette?

Every now and then it’s fun to speculate about where the automotive industry will go next. Once a brand decides on changing up its script, we can imagine a company extending its new approach to other vehicle segments using the same method. Take Chevrolet for example, Chevy has done the unthinkable once before with creating a mid-engine Corvette. This happened last year when the Corvette was changed with the “C8”. After seven generations of the Corvette and over fifty years of history, Chevrolet opted to place the powertrain in the middle of the vehicle. Now, one designer has modified the Chevrolet Camaro to have the same powertrain set up, dubbing his rendering the Chevrolet Midmaro.

Will There Be A Chevrolet “Midmaro”?

As of now, no. Keep in mind, the future is not written yet and no reports have confirmed that Chevrolet is truly considering moving the engine with the Camaro as well. However, just like with concept cars, this could be the spark that ignites the change for Chevrolet and its upcoming line-up. When rival brand Dodge introduced the Widebody concept to the Challenger, it was only a matter of time before the perks of the Widebody made its way over to fellow Dodge muscle car, the Dodge Charger. Chevrolet has a thing for dressing up its pony cars in a new light and this might be the result someday. The image above was rendered and created by Gabe Florido, the founder of Car Lifestyle. The Camaro rendering looks futuristic and sleek and adopts the same engine placement as the Corvette. If Chevrolet opted to produce a vehicle like this, with various powertrain options for drivers, this could help the Camaro compete with rivals like Porsche in the future. Of course, we all know about what Chevy is currently working on with an electric Camaro in the works. But, we know there are other possibilities that could always come as a result of accomplishment. The result of making the Corvette a mid-engine vehicle was quite a feat.

Why Would Chevy Consider Changing the Camaro?

Chevrolet has already made the change to arguably its most well-known production vehicle, the Corvette. The “C8” is a breath of fresh air for Chevy enthusiasts to enjoy. A mid-engine car allows for a slew of upgrades around the rest of the vehicle for an owner to enjoy its powerful 6.2-Liter LT2 V8 engine. Designers had to work extra hard with the challenges of never building a Corvette with such a set-up, but that difficult engineering feat is over with. Now, the fruits of those labors could be applied to another Chevrolet vehicle. We’re certain that a mid-engine Camaro could become a concept vehicle in the future at the very least. We ask our readers to talk to us on social media to see what they think about the Chevrolet Corvette C8, but also what they would think of the Camaro getting the same treatment. As always, for all things Chevrolet, check out Miami Lakes Automall to find and drive the best Chevy vehicles around.

Chevrolet Shifts Focus to Electric Vehicles

Miami Lakes Automall 2019 Bolt EV Charging

Well, there’s some interesting news going down over at Chevrolet, under the automotive umbrella of the General Motors group. If unawares, General Motors is starting to pick up their slack when it comes to getting on the bandwagon for zero emission propulsion and powertrains. With the upsurge of electrified and alternative fuel vehicles estimated in the coming years, GM is not one to fall behind, and with Chevrolet already having moderate success in alternative fuel with the Chevrolet Bolt EV, a large change is about to take place. Chevy will be shifting away from the Chevrolet Camaro to focus on electrified vehicles (EVs).

Competitor automotive group Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) has already unveiled their plans for going electric with many vehicles already underway. To keep up, GM is making some decisive moves. Car and Driver were there to report on the newest announcement.

“Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer and spiritual leader of the Chevrolet Camaro program for more than a decade, is moving to General Motors’ newly formed AV/EV organization to focus on zero-emission-vehicle development.”

Upcoming 2019 Chevrolet Camaro Is Striking

There’s a new sheriff in town and it’s the “Shock Yellow” colored 2019 Chevrolet Camaro. The latest Camaro is a stunning vehicle, not just by the new paint color, but for many reasons. As far as the refreshed Chevrolet Camaro goes, owners will be hard-pressed to find a better example of a modern sports car that offers the same combination of versatility and style as a Camaro. New accessories will be offered for the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro for others to enjoy, starting with the Recaro seats, Brembo six-piston front brake kit, new cold-air intake kits and a suspension upgrade from the intense 1LE Camaro models.

A Closer Look Into the New 2019 Chevrolet Camaro

An incredible piece of engineering with a redesigned front end and a fresh approach with the front boasts better outward visibility. Far from dated, Chevrolet is moving the Camaro series ahead with the stunning body color paint options, including a Satin Steel Gray, Shadow Gray Metallic, Riverside Blue Metallic and the aforementioned Shock Yellow. Chevrolet addressed feedback to remove the Chevrolet logo, the bowtie emblem, from the middle of the front bumper beam to the upper section of the grille. The grille was also previously marked with a black plastic rim that has been changed to match the same body color as the vehicle, which is up to the owner’s choice. Additional changes were made like adding some style in the carbon-fiber fuel-filler door and black Camaro badges. A black rear wing and a lush elongated front look command attention like few other vehicles deliver.

How Strong Is the Latest Camaro?

Few vehicles are as exhilarating and exciting for drivers to enjoy on a daily basis; the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro is not one of those vehicles. Offering up to 650 horsepower in the powerful 6.2-Liter supercharged V8 engine is one way to drive up excitement. Owners of the new Camaro will be thrilled to take one for a spin and embrace the refinement and power. (How does a 0-60 speed of just 3.5 seconds sound?) The other powertrain options include the trusted Pentastar 3.6-Liter V6 that gets 335 horsepower or the 455 horsepower 6.2-Liter V8 engine – how much horsepower a driver wants is up to the owner’s discretion. The base model, 1LS coupe begins at only $25,000 MSRP (plus destination fee) while the base model convertible is just $31,500 MSRP (plus destination fee) as both models carry the new turbocharged 2.0-Liter four-cylinder that offers 275 horsepower. We’d opt for the strongest engine, but that’s just us.

All trims are stunning and offer fantastic speed and power. The 10-speed automatic is optional for all V8 engines, while the eight-speed automatic transmission is available for all trims. Chevy loyalists will rejoice as this Camaro really provides each owner with a winner.

More About the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro

The interior of the Camaro includes a standard 7.0-inch touchscreen with the available 8.0-inch touchscreen option. The latest Chevrolet infotainment system is the Infotainment 3 system that provides optional navigation, a standard backup camera that has been enhanced to include a wider view with the user able to zoom and adjust the brightness levels of the view. The 2019 Chevrolet Camaro has decent gas mileage for a vehicle as high-performance as the Camaro is. Owners will gain 22 city and 31 highway mpg starting with the base model Camaro 1LS. To find out more about this incredible vehicle, which will arrive in early 2019, we hope you reach out to Miami Lakes Automall today.

Among the fastest and strongest vehicles, there are many that exist at outrageous prices. However, we know most of our customers want to drive something affordable as well as exciting. For anyone looking for a new vehicle, there’s no denying the fun of driving a fast and furious vehicle, but there’s not as many that offer affordability attached to the impressive speed. Today, we’ll examine the best cars with the most horsepower for under $100,000. From that price point and below, our showcase will feature some of the top vehicles in the industry.

SRT vehicles, produced by Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, are highly capable of providing the rush of high-performance driving and pair with friendly pricing. Not every vehicle that is a Street & Racing Technology (SRT) is a muscle car, as we’ll point out some vehicles that match with maximum horsepower, but stay well below the $100,000 price point. So, in keeping wallets full and excitement levels extremely high, let’s get into it.

The Most Horsepower For Under $100k

How does 797 horsepower sound? Thanks to the latest monster made by Dodge, the 6.2-Liter supercharged V8 engine with Dodge SRT Demon parts to increase the horsepower. After last year’s celebrated Dodge SRT Demon, the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat Redeye has the highest horsepower offered in a muscle car for under $100,000. This incredible muscle car has a 0-60 speed of 3.4 seconds. Owners will experience an overwhelmingly difficult time when choosing to leave their Hellcat Redeye in the parking lot. It’s just too powerful and amazing not to enjoy. This special and unique SRT vehicle begins at $71,350 MSRP (plus destination fee). We dare our readers to try and find any car that comes close to matching the horsepower offered by Dodge for this amount of money.

Just As Fast and Powerful, the Hellcat and Hellcat Widebody

The latest 2019 Dodge Challenger Hellcat and Hellcat Widebody carry the impressive 6.2-Liter supercharged V8 engine. The incredible V8 makes other engines seem small and unimpressive by comparison. There are very few powertrains in any muscle car that can compete with the 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque provided by the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat and Hellcat Widebody. The remarkable quarter-mile time of 10.9 seconds with this muscle car is nothing short of spectacular. The starting price for the 2019 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat starts at $58,650 MSRP (plus destination fee.) The Widebody package costs an extra $6,000.

Horsepower For The Whole Family

For those looking for strength and speed in an SUV, the 2019 Dodge Durango SRT provides 475 horsepower. With a 0-60 time of just 4.7 seconds, there’s no debating how impressive this vehicle is, especially when considering that the Dodge Durango seats seven people. The starting price for the latest 2019 Dodge Durango SRT is just $62,995 MSRP (plus destination fee.) The strength of the Durango SRT provides an impressive towing capacity of 8,700 lbs, which is more than a lot of vehicles of the same size, simply due to the fantastic engineering offered by Dodge.

2018 Chevrolet Camaro-Hot Wheels Edition Miami Lakes Automall

Hot Wheels replica car toys served as the first toy for many children across many generations. One of the most popular Hot Wheels replicant toys was the Chevy Camaro, debuting as both a production vehicle and Hot Wheels toy in 1968. After a half-century of producing Chevy Camaro diecast muscle replicants, Chevy has decided to produce a special Camaro Hot Wheels Edition muscle vehicle to commemorate the 50 years of this iconic vehicle.

A promotional video by Chevrolet has come out showing the new Hot Wheels edition in all its glory. Many generations can relate to owning car toys like the Camaro replica, as the video notes the memorable “diecast, shiny orange paint, sculpted windscreen, finger-assisted acceleration” that comes with every Camaro Hot Wheels toy. The latest 2018 Chevrolet Camaro is a true testament to high quality engineering, no matter what scale.

Now You Can Own Your Favorite Toy Car

Being the first of 16 Hot Wheel toys created in 1968, the Chevy Camaro diecast stood out back then and stands out even more today as a real-life vehicle. What does the sixth-generation Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels Edition bring? Available with the 2018 Camaro Coupe and Convertible 2LT and 2SS models, there’s quite a list of bold features. Included are the Exclusive Crush exterior body paint color, 20-inch Satin Graphite machine-faced wheels (2SS models include summer-only tires), Satin Graphite stripe with Silver Metallic accents, Satin Graphite effects and a Hot Wheels 50th Anniversary fender badge. This is a vehicle that shows off in more ways than one, including its unique grille with Galbano chrome inserts, front orange brake calipers for the LT, black Chevrolet bowtie emblem and exclusive Jet Black leather-appointed interior with orange inserts and accent stitching.

Inside the Chevy Camaro Hot Wheels Edition

The feel of the Camaro is spectacular and drivers will enjoy the feeling of a suede-wrapped steering wheel. Complete with orange accent stitching and premium carpeted floor mats with orange stitching and ghost stripes, knee bolsters and seat belts, the interior is clean. Illuminated door sill plates with Hot Wheels Anniversary badge look sharp, putting the cherry on top of the coolest Camaro offered by Chevrolet today. The Hot Wheels package is an option to the Camaro 2LT and 22 coupes for only $4,995.

Coupes get a unique spoiler, but the convertibles must retain the stock wing due to the various radio, telematics antennas and GPS capabilities. The 2SS Camaro provides a strong 455 horsepower, 6.2-Liter LT1 V8 engine for a heart-pounding experience with each drive. Thanks to the dual-model performance exhaust, customers have the available option ($895) of being able to set a stealth mode to activate valves (aka bypass exhaust values) in the exhaust so they don’t have to wake the neighbors upon leaving their house. This is, after all, the most powerful Camaro ever according to Chevy that pushes to 60 mph in 4 seconds with the eight-speed automatic transmission equipped. So, for those that want a loud vehicle, both in style and due to the nature of owning the real-life Hot Wheels Camaro, this special edition 2018 Hot Wheels Camaro purrs quite prolifically.

2018 Chevrolet Camaro 1LE Track Options

Thursday, March 15th, 2018

2018-Miami-Lakes-Automall-Chevy-Camaro-zl1

The Chevy Camaro is a legendary vehicle. In 2017, the Camaro celebrated its 50th anniversary and the vehicle still pushes levels of performance to new records and exceeds expectations. To help consumers get exactly the Camaro they want, Chevy offers the Camaro in a couple different trims, engines and packages, and one of our favorite packages is the 1LE Track Package.

1LE Track Package

The sixth generation Chevrolet Camaro is available with the 1LE Track Package and it shows Chevy’s unwavering dedication and determination to give drivers more comfort, speed and value. If you’re going to drive on a race track anytime soon, adding the 1LE Track Package would be an excellent addition with the purchase of a new Camaro.

Standard Features of the 1LE Track Package

The interior provides a comfortable setting that is noticed instantly. Suede-wrapped flat bottom steering wheel that compliment the suede-wrapped knob for comfortable control come with this package.

Standard Magnetic Ride Control suspension is a detailed performance-oriented chassis that helps stability with improved cornering and overall speed. To help ensure great handling, 1LE packages are provided with a track mode that stiffens suspension and quickens steering and throttle progression and opens up the exhaust for optimal performance when driving. To slow the car down when hitting incredible speeds, the package includes Brembo brakes which supply high-performance braking power. Standard Performance Data Recorder allows drivers to look over their driving history and performance in any Chevy Camaro model.

2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE: A Name of Speed

While the names of the trims might not make it obvious there’s something unique or special, there’s two words to classify what this package for the Camaro. Upgraded speed!

Something special was built with the 2018 Chevy Camaro ZL1 1LE. A one-piece exposed weave carbon fiber wing, integrated front dive planes and multiple adjustable exterior performance parts. From the rear stabilizer bar to the camber plates, this package gives drivers the option for how they shape the Camaro’s look. But what’s included inside shows off the pure power given to Camaro owners. Downforce-producing aerodynamics included those carbon fiber rear wing and specific air deflectors on the front fascia produce grip-generating downforce to help the vehicle sharply stick hard and fast turns.

With a zipping fast supercharged 6.2-liter LT4 V8 engine rated 650 horsepower, 6-speed manual transmission with Active Rev Matching this powertrain has no shortage of capable speed. Added track cooling package with engine oil, differential and transmission coolers and dual-mode exhaust system supplies addtional value. Recaro performance seats come standard on the Camaro ZL1.

Costs for this vehicle start at $69,995 MSRP (Plus destination fees). As noted by Chevy cars and crossovers marketing director, Steve Majoros, “In the long and storied history of Camaro performance, there’s never been another model that matches with the capability of the ZL1 1LE.”

2018 Chevy Camaro V6 1LE

Among the latest lineup of vehicles built by Chevrolet is the 2018 Chevy Camaro V6 1LE. Complete with a 3.6-liter V6 engine that delivers 335 horsepower coupled to a 6-speed manual transmission, this is an impressive vehicle in it’s own right.

Included all the same with these models are the standard suede steering wheel and shorter-throw shifter, dual-mode exhaust system and track cooling package with engine oil differential and transmission coolers.

Summer-only Goodyear Eagle F1 245/40R20 front tires and 275/35R20 rear tires are also included with this new 2018 Chevy Camaro. A prize to be sure for any driver, this is one vehicle that grabs attention and doesn’t let go. The price for a 2018 Chevy Camaro V6 1LE starts at $32,895 MSRP (Plus destination fees).

2018 Chevy Camaro SS 1LE

Not every vehicle can supply drivers with enough power and cutting edge performance that they require or want. But when a special vehicle arrives like the 2018 Chevy Camaro 1LE with 6.2-liter LT1 V8 engine that supplies 455 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque and a 6-speed manual transmission, drivers know what they’re getting.
