GM has unveiled its future electric vehicle plans in its 10th sustainability report, and one of the most striking projects is Chevrolet’s BET Truck. This will be Chevy’s first full-size electric pickup truck and General Motors has listed its electric-mile range to surpass 400 miles. Unfortunately, that’s all General Motors has revealed about its plans. Some have speculated that the Silverado has the chance to be the first pickup that gains the electric capacity or a brand new model. Not that the Silverado needs any more support to surpass the competition. The lofty goals are taken very seriously by GM, as even the president of GM, Mark Reuss has revealed he drives a Chevrolet Bolt to commute to work. When looking into the plans for Chevrolet, the goal is determined straight from the top.
Chevrolet Investments Are Set
The early reports had Chevrolet introducing the new EV pickup truck by 2021, but this might be pushed back since the global Coronavirus pandemic has continued longer than expected. General Motors has actually proposed 20 electric vehicles will be produced and on the road by 2023. The pledge by GM included nearly an entire lineup of EVs by 2030. The $2.2 billion investment will see GM’s Detroit-Hamtramck plant turning into the first assembly plant solely focused on EVs. Chevrolet will also make new EV vehicles and keep some of the gasoline models for the near future, but across the board, this won’t be the case for long. While there hasn’t been an electric vehicle made since the Bolt in 2016, this upcoming decade will see the production of EVs starting with this new pickup EV. The growth of EV will take place globally for GM by 2040. Another goal is ensuring the recycling of 100 percent of end-of-life EV batteries.
General Motors Leads the EV Way
The goal for Chevrolet is not only to add its first-ever electric pickup, but to add a mid-sized electric SUV and a possibly a new look to the Chevrolet Bolt, converting the famed electric car into an SUV or crossover design. General Motors will also work to add three-row luxury electric SUVs. Through their GMC and Cadillac brands, expect GM to add other EV models, including an electric Hummer, but the large focus remains on the Chevrolet brand to lead the way for GM.
“The past several months have been difficult and our world has changed. As we move through the world in a new way, GM is as determined as ever to create solutions that lead to a better future for all. GM remains focused on delivering on our vision of a world with zero crashes, zero emissions, and zero congestion while becoming the most inclusive company in the world,” -CEO Mary Barra

Chevrolet is updating it’s Chevy Colorado for the future, but soon enough the 2021 Colorado pickup will debut with V6 powertrain options. However, Muscle Car and Trucks has reported that this may be one of the last Chevy Colorado pickups to offer a V6 or a turbo-diesel powertrain under the hood. Currently, the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado offers a 3.6-Liter V6 and 2.8-Liter turbodiesel four, but the expectation is the current base engine is going to be changed as well. The base trim is a 2.5-Liter four-cylinder engine and could switch to a 2.7 L turbo engine that is currently used in the Silverado. A new 10-speed automatic transmission is expected to be used as well going forward.
What Else Is Staying, Being Modified or Leaving the Chevy Colorado?
Look for the update of the Colorado to bring about good news and for advancements in technology as well as fuel efficiency. Currently, the 2020 Colorado has a solid 3- highway mpg. Some changes are inevitable whenever a vehicle receives an update. The expectation is both the rear- and four-wheel drive options will continue to be available. The 2.7-Liter engine gives owners 310 horsepower and 348 lb-ft of torque when it’s bolted in the Silverado’s engine bay. The future owners of the Chevrolet Colorado are sure to receive a pickup that provides ideal power and Chevy hasn’t lost sight of making the vehicle a powerful one.
Other Brands Look To Enhance Their Pickups
Chevrolet will not be the only automaker that is looking to make changes to its midsize truck segment. As for the future of where Chevrolet goes with the Colorado, we can only expect it to become stronger and lighter as most brands have done with their pickups. The success of Ram with its Ram 1500 has done wonders for sales, despite being lighter than it has ever been. In regards to the future, Chevrolet hasn’t confirmed the details of the Muscle Car and Truck report, as it has been unverified for a 2023 release date. The truck is expected to be a part of the Chevrolet 2024 model year line-up. Curious what driving a Chevrolet Colorado is all about? The 2020 Chevrolet Colorado starts as low as $21,300 MSRP (Plus destination fee). We have them ready to go at Miami Lakes Automall today.

The new decade has arrived with impending changes bound to affect the automotive landscape. Changes include greater technology like what is found in the new 2020 Chevrolet Bolt. The latest Chevy EV nows joins a crowded field with the introduction of the Kia Niro EV, Hyundai Kona, Telsa Model 3 and Nissan Leaf, among others. The truth remains, few compare to what Chevy has included in the new 2020 Bolt. The range for the Bolt is now 259 miles, which is more than any of the vehicles listed above. The Bolt recharges at a superior rate that includes 4 mph with a 120V plug, in just 10 hours using a 240V home charger. The Leaf Plus takes longer at 11.5 hours. The Chevrolet Bolt pulls ahead with the ability to charge up to 100 miles in just half an hour.
Improvement From Within For the 2020 Chevy Bolt
The acceleration has improved with the Bolt as well with an impressive 200 horsepower and 266 lb-ft of torque that is stronger than most gasoline cars on the road today. For those that imagine the Bolt is purely an EV capable of only providing great fuel economy that is wrong as the Bolt proves its quite effective at maintaining its power even when driving over steep hills or passing other vehicles. The Bolt can go from 0 to 60 seconds in 6.3 seconds. An array of standard features include SiriusXM Radio, a keyless start with push-to-start button and LED daytime running lamps, plus LED taillamps, 6-speaker audio system, 6-way manual driver seat and passenger seat with 60/40 split-folding rear seat. Enjoy technology that makes driving more enjoyable with 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capabilities. An available Bose premium 7-speaker audio system and automatic heated steering wheel.
Accolades and Discount
The Chevy Bolt was the 2017 Motor Trend Car of the Year, the 2017 North American Car of the Year and Green Car Report Best Car to Buy, among many other awards. The 2020 Chevrolet Bolt looks to be no exception. This is an affordable option for many customers at $36,620 MSRP (Plus destination fee). An 8 year, 100,000-mile warranty is about as strong as they come in the industry. The Federal Tax Credit will provide up to $1,875 in savings through March 31, 2020 on any Bolt EV purchased.
“The Bolt is not just a great electric vehicle but also a great commuter vehicle in every respect. … Well done, GM. You are now the leader.”

The growing anticipation for the upcoming 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is hitting a fever pitch. The latest news for the upcoming “C8” has been focused on the imminent start of production. For the masses, the Chevy Corvette will begin to start its roll out soon enough. The first production 2020 Corvette has been made and already sold for a robust $3 million cost to Rick Hendrick, dubbed the King of Corvettes. He claims he won’t ever drive the vehicle. However, the biggest news has come in the form of fuel efficiency.
Better Than the Previous Generation Corvette
The upcoming mid-engine car has recently learned the final highway mpg rating at a remarkable 27 highway mpg. This rating is better than both the 2020 Porsche 911 Carrera S and the previous generation, the “C7”. The previous Corvette was rated at 25 highway mpg. The reason owners aim to drive a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is to drive at fast speeds. Customers will love knowing the C8 Stingray can launch from zero to 60 mph in only 2.8 seconds with a maximum speed of 184 mph. But production is still yet to start (for now).
Production Is Ready To Ramp Up
The new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette will begin rolling off the assembly line next month after experiencing delays. The current orders are frozen, so customers looking for the 2020 Corvette will have to wait. Custom orders that have come in include widespread similarities like the battery protection package and the Z51 package with MagneRide. For an additional $5,000, buyers get a revamped suspension, performance exhaust, greater engine cooling, an electronic limited-slip rear differential, and more power. MagneRide is a $1,895 upcharge.
More On the 2020 Corvette
The base trim of the 2020 Corvette utilizes a 6.2-Liter LT2 V8 producing 490 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque. Buyers receive solid power from even the base trim, but many customers have decided on gaining the Z51 pack that bounces those numbers to 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. As of January 2020, the new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is hard to find for purchase, but that will soon change.
The 2020 Corvette has a starting price of $59,995 MSRP (Plus destination fee), while the popular 3LT trim that starts at $72,000 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and adds some excellent touches like extra carbon fiber bits, GT2 seating, microfiber inserts throughout the interior, to name a few extra goodies. Want to drive a new Chevrolet? We can help today.

We recently witnessed the award season kick-off to start 2020 off with the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray earning the 2020 North American Car of the Year award. While the 2020 Chevrolet sports car is the very first 2020 Chevrolet Stingray has officially had its first sale to the tune of a whopping $3 million at an auction in Scottsdale, Arizona. The first-ever Chevrolet Corvette to carry a mid-engine build (this means the engine is literally in the middle of the vehicle, rather than under the hood) has a base price of $55,900 MSRP (Plus destination fee), but this is the only first ever built Chevy C8 Stingray. The event hosting this sale was a Narrett-Jackson auction with every bit of the transaction going to charity.
All For A Good Cause
The Detroit Children’s Fund, a not-for-profit organization, is responsible for the earnings. The money will be distributed across public schools in Detroit. The focus of Detroit Children’s Fund is to improve the quality of education in the city where General Motors has its main headquarters and thousands of workers. The sale was completed and sold to Corvette collector Rick Hendrick. Hendrick is apart of the Corvette Hall of Fame, being inducted in 2015. Hendrick owns a total of 94 dealerships, but among all the vehicles he owns, he says he won’t ever drive this first-ever C8. The first debut of the vehicle was launched with the help of actual astronauts to unveil the vehicle. The new mid-engine design, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe is one of the most sought after vehicles to hit the market in recent memory. The auction was actually the biggest success in the 49-year history of Barrett-Jackson Auctions with $141 million produced.
“I’ve been going to those auctions for 25 to 30 years and I’ve bought a lot of No.1s at auction for charity. But nothing like this car. This had bidders from all over the world. It was so much drama. When you have the CEO of General Motors on the stage, that’s a big deal,” Hendrick told the Free Press.
More On the “C8” Corvette
The winning vehicle will carry an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic with automatic shifting. The advantages that have pushed the latest Chevrolet to another level include technology upgrades. The engineers have added new performance components that come standard for each Chevrolet Corvette that allows the vehicle to have 25 percent more oil cooling than the previous-generation Corvette. This is thanks to the new chassis design, part of the changes to a new mid-engine design. The “C8” Stingray is the start of an all-new generation of Corvette vehicles that are fastest and strongest than ever. Engineers added in the legendary 6.2-Liter V8 powertrain that delivers 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque.
“Corvette has always represented the pinnacle of innovation and boundary-pushing at GM. The traditional front-engine vehicle reached its limits of performance, necessitating the new layout,” said GM President Mark Reuss.

Mustang? Over the Chevrolet Camaro? Chevrolet is betting drivers of the Ford Mustang will prefer driving the latest Camaro, the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro. General Motors (GM) believes that so much they have a new deal in place to get new Camaro owners. Mustang owners, this is the prime opportunity to experience the sleek-looking new Camaro. Currently, through September 3rd, 2019, owners of a Ford Mustang, can get an extra $2,500 off when purchasing a Chevrolet Camaro. All buyers are also eligible for $500 in customer cash. What else can customers expect with the upcoming 2020 Camaro? Let’s get into the new details.
Reasons For the Sale
Chevrolet has already sold more than 25,000 units of the 2019 Camaro through two quarters of 2019, which is a 3% drop from this same time last year. Thus, this was a smart incentive by Chevy to add more sales and steer buyers away from the competition. This incentive program works for any owner of any Mustang to gain a massive opportunity. Chevrolet is fairing better than Ford whose numbers show a 9.2 percent reduction from last year. One reason this may be the case? The products are not as spectacular; with the Camaro being the exception.
Changes to the Camaro
The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro will have a new look for the SS trim and differs from those who did not like the refresh of the 2019 model. The largest difference can be found in the grille with a nice body-color crossbar and the bowtie decal is higher in the upper section. While the 2019 Camaro had a contrasting black piece in the center and the logo in the middle. This was a welcomed difference for Chevy fans that have closely paid attention to the Camaro. They will also notice the 2020 Camaro will cost less for the base trim at $34,995 MSRP (plus destination fee) for the LT1. The LT1 comes with the 3.6-Liter V6 that now has the upgraded 10-speed automatic transmission. Owners can choose from a coupe or convertible and new color options including Rally Green as well as new wheel designs.
“Customers spoke, and we listened. The overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Shock’s stylized design helped prompt its transition from concept to production,” said Steve Majoros, Director of Chevrolet Passenger Car and Crossover Marketing.

Witness the strength and power in the driver’s seat of the new Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD. Inside Chevrolet’s new heavy-duty Silverado, owners will note how the 2020 Silverado 2500HD has become stronger and larger overall. Equipped under the hood with a Duramax 6.6-Liter turbodiesel V8 that packs 445 horsepower and a healthy 910 lb-ft of torque, this Silverado maximizes strength owners require. Drivers will note the impressive acceleration offered inside this massive pickup and so much more about this new Silverado 2500HD. Allow us to break down all the facts and components that make the latest Chevrolet heavy-duty pickup a must-have.
Just How Fast and Strong Is the Silverado 2500HD
Owners can readily embrace its 6.5-second 0-60 time, which is leagues ahead of the competition. By comparison, the 2017 Ford F-250 Super Duty made a time of 7.1 seconds, and the 2019 Ram 3500 Heavy Duty is nearly two seconds slower at 8.4 seconds. Chevy has found a way to move the 2500HD’s 8,353-pound curb weight thanks to the remarkable powertrain paired to the new 10-speed Allison automatic transmission. Gain unmatched torque with the massive18,500-pound tow rating.
“What an amazingly quick truck. With the driveline set to auto (4WD), this HD leaps off the line like an all-wheel-drive sports car,” said Chris Walton, MotorTrend Road Test Editor.
Improvement Over the Previous Generation
The Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD has improved upon its self. With four more gears and the ability to tow more trailer weight, up to 12,500 pounds. There is 3-inch more rear-seat legroom and a 5-inch longer wheelbase. There’s a new 6.6-Liter gas engine with direct ignition. This new gas powertrain can tow 18% more than the previous Silverado 2500HD. Many would believe that with its fast acceleration and large size, this Silverado 2500HD has a 60mph to zero stopping distance of just 134 feet. That’s a refined change compared to the 2017 Silverado 2500HD, which can brake to a halt at 146 feet. Comparing the new 2500HD to the F-250’s remarkably longer 160 feet.
Nice Features To Go With Its Remarkable Strength
Not just a strong pickup, owners can find refinement inside the new Silverado 2500HD. The LTZ trim adds heated and cooled driver and passenger bucket seats, a LOUD upgraded audio system, and extended soft-touch trim throughout the interior. The 8.0-inch infotainment touchscreen is clear and responsive; owners can quickly lookup brake pad life, engine hours, and much more. A new camera system is remarkable for owners as the Silverado 2500HD has two extra rear bumper plugs for extra cameras as well as up to 15 camera views through the mirrors, cab, and tailgate that gives a great view through the trailer. What’s not to like with all the strength, improved interior and look? Come find the latest Chevrolet Silverado 2500HD with us at Miami Lakes Automall today.

Many muscle cars are well-known and respected, but few are the Chevrolet Camaro. The latest Camaro is considered one of the last great pony cars available. The Camaro was made famous with superior driving dynamics that have shaped the Camaro over the years. Unfortunately, all good things come to an end. For generations, the Camaro served as the premiere fast-car of the Chevrolet brand, but word has leaked that Chevy will be discontinuing the vehicle in 2023. The nearly 55 years of the Camaro will leave behind a lasting legacy. The Chevrolet Camaro faced a difficult time selling vehicles back in 2002 and was close to being shelved then. The Chevrolet Corvette has taken the top spot among the premiere, fast Chevy vehicle.
Step Into the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro
The latest Chevy models have various trims, including the 277 horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder base model Camaro 1LS up to the remarkable 650-horsepower Camaro Z1 trim. The high-end Camaro gives drivers the strength of the 6.2-Liter supercharged V8 DI engine that supplies 650 lb-ft of torque to go with all that remarkable horsepower. The latest Chevrolet Camaro also has heated and ventilated seating, the high-end Bose premium audio system and a steering wheel made with suede microfiber material. Stepping into the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, buyers will notice how well-made this vehicle is, inside and out.
Will the Camaro Nameplate Be Retired?
General Motors has confirmed they did not make a decision yet. Time will tell, but the Camaro has seen sales slide in more recent years. This is despite Chevrolet and General Motors placing a lot of effort to make the latest Camaro vehicles the best pony cars on the market today. The Ford Mustang is also seeing low numbers, so it is not just General Motors and Chevrolet that is experiencing lower sales for their flagship cars. However, the truth remains that Chevy has not listed the Camaro as a vehicle that will be updated or given a new generation past 2023, as currently listed.
“While we will not engage in speculation, we will remind you of our recently announced updates coming to the Camaro lineup this fall. An all-new LT1 model will provide customers V8 power with the design and affordability of our LT trim. The award-winning SS model will feature a new front fascia from the Camaro Shock concept. All of our updates are customer-driven to improve the car and its driving experience.” According to General Motors.

Chevrolet has decided to be creative with ways to provide their L87 6.2-Liter V8 engine in the hands of more drivers. How could they do that? General Motors (the parent company of Chevrolet) worked on adding the strong powertrain with more Silverado trims. Now customers can experience the massive Chevy V8 powertrain and its remarkable 435 horsepower with three more trim options. Considering a new pickup? We loved the latest Chevrolet Silverado, which was redesigned as the all-new 2019 Silverado 1500. The upcoming 2020 Silverado 1500 is going to surpass this pickup in more ways than one giving customers more options than before.
Changes to the Silverado
Chevrolet made their all-new Silverado 1500 lighter, yet stronger with the 2019 version. Reports have come out that the towing technology will be improved and more powertrain availability is expected. More than half of the trims for the 2020 Silverado 1500 will have access to the available 6.2-Liter V8 engine with its 10-speed automatic transmission. The Silverado will offer three body styles and eight trim levels to choose from, as there is a perfect fit for all customers to drive. The Work Truck is the base trim that is the only single-cab configuration. The Custom is the next higher trim that adds 20-inch aluminum wheels and LED taillights. Custom Trail Boss trim adds a two-inch suspension lift and the available Z71 package that can be added to higher-end Silverado trims is standard. The package adds Rancho shocks, skid plates, Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac tires, and a locking rear differential to safely handle going on roads less traveled. This is one of the trims, along with the LT Trail Boss that can opt for the monstrous 6.2-Liter V8 engine.
Opt for the LT trim, which adds an 8.0-inch touchscreen and available leather seats for a more traditional pickup look. The RST, like the LT, gain access to the 310 horsepower turbocharged inline-four powertrain. This is the first ever turbocharged four-cylinder engine in a full-size pickup and only the LT and RST have the option. The RST can also add the 6.2-Liter V8 engine should a driver want. The strength of the RST was improved as its towing capacity reaches 13,400 pounds with the new powertrain option, thanks to its 435 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque.
Higher End Trims of the Silverado
The most flexible trim might be the LT Trail Boss because of the Off-Road prowess and its standard 5.3-Liter V8 engine paired to an eight-speed transmission. Looking for the luxurious Silverado option? The LTZ is decked out in chrome from the grille to the door handles, wheels and mirrors. The LTZ supplies the 5.8-Liter powertrain and the 6.2-Liter V8 and the turbo-diesel straight-six engine as available choices. The head of the class for all trims is the High Country, which adds bronze accents throughout and integrated dual exhaust tips, fine leather seating, and available 22-inch wheels. Chrome highlights mix in with the bronze to provide a sleek look on the gorgeous High Country trim.
Under the Hood Is Where the Gold Is
Chevrolet is expected to offer their 469 lb-ft of torque V8 powertrain with optional Performance Upgrade Package that will also include a cat-back exhaust and a different air intake for customers. The 3.0-Liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine arrives for the first time with the 2020 Silverado, offered on the LT, RST, LTZ and High Country trims. Owners opting for the diesel engine gain 277 horsepower with a powerful 460 lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet introduced the 2.7-Liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engineered specifically for pickup driving. All of these upgrades only add more reasons why customers should consider the latest Silverado. The Silverado 1500 has always had so much to offer drivers, but we hope to have our customers come in for a test-drive to find out firsthand.
