iSeeCars Study Finds 2022 Chevy Tahoe Likely to Reach 200,000 Miles

Friday, March 25th, 2022

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe was recently categorized as one of the top vehicles to reach at least 200,000 miles in its lifetime. This analysis comes from the automotive research site iSeeCars. The online site focuses on data analysis to determine the various qualities of different vehicles. In order to discover whether the Chevy Tahoe could go beyond 200,000 miles, iSeeCars analyzed sales and registration data as well as the percentages of vehicles that surpassed the mile threshold. Several other Chevy models made the top list as well. This is good news for General Motors (GM) which has been in the spotlight recently for its all-electric 2023 Chevy Silverado. Like many automakers, GM has been focusing on electrifying its lineup. Despite the focus on EVs, we’re glad to see GM still prioritizing its gasoline models.

Chevy Tahoe Can Reach 200,000 Miles

According to a recent top 15 list by iSeeCars, the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is more than capable of reaching 200,000 miles within its lifetime. This analysis comes from the automotive research site iSeeCars which utilized sale and registration data to determine the capability of the Chevy Tahoe. The online site also utilized the percentage of units from specific models that had surpassed this mile threshold. About the Tahoe, iSeeCars analyst Karl Brauer said,

“All manufactured by General Motors, the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, and Chevrolet Tahoe share a platform and many common parts, confirming why these popular family vehicles are all likely to last 200,000 miles,” Brauer said.

According to iSeeCars’ top 15 list, the 2022 Chevy Tahoe placed seventh. This means that of all the Chevy Tahoes currently registered in the US, 4.4 percent of them have 200,000 or more miles. As a family-size SUV, this reliability is a great asset for the Tahoe. Other GM vehicles also made the list. These included the Chevy Suburban in 3rd place with 6.6 percent and the GMC Yukon XL in 4th with 5.2 percent.

The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe starts at an MSRP of $50,200 (plus destination fee). The full-size family SUV was revamped for the 2022 model year, so it features improved handling, a more spacious interior, and GM’s advanced safety features.

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe’s Greatest Hits

Monday, February 14th, 2022

The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is a force to be reckoned with. This full-size SUV can easily haul families and all of their cargo supplies without fear of being cramped. It blends in well with the other aristocrats at high-end restaurants.

New features include a standard 12-inch digital driver information display, Buckle to Drive technology, Reverse Automatic Braking and Enhanced Trailer View available on the two upper trims, optional Sports Performance Package on the RST, and the Off-Road Performance package offered on the Z71.

Interior

As one may be able to guess from the exterior, the Tahoe’s cabin is indeed spacious, with plenty of room within its three rows and unbeatable comfort. There is plenty of room offered on the second-row seats, especially with its ability to slide and recline during long road trips. There are even optional dual 12.6-inch infotainment screens.

The independent rear suspension is a major plus for this SUV, as this is useful in expanding cargo space. Luggage space amounts to 25.5 cubic feet, only to expand to 72.6 cubic feet when seats from the third row. Second-row seats can also make a split, increasing the cargo room to an incredible 122.9 cubic feet of space. Clearly, this model is no one-trick pony.

Standard Features

The base-level LS trim invites standard features like 8-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, rain-sensing wipers, heated side mirrors, side steps, keyless entry/ignition, remote start, 3-zone automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, two 120-volt outlets, programmable Teen Driver key, and power-adjustable front seats.

Safety features are plentiful with standard forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance/lane-departure warning, rear seat reminder, front/rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, and even the new Buckle to Drive.

Passengers can enjoy comforts like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, six USB ports, satellite radio, and Bluetooth.

While all of these features are great, it’s still recommended to at least upgrade to the LT, as this will welcome the new-for-2022 12-inch digital driver information display, memory settings for the driver’s seat, heated front seats, self-dimming rearview mirror, universal garage door opener, hands-free liftgate operation, and wireless charging. This trim also has the Bose 9-speaker audio system and navigation.

V8 Engine and Performance

The 2022 Tahoe offers three powertrains: 5.3-liter V8 (standard), 6.2-liter V8, and the 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel. High Country’s 6.2-liter has the best capability regarding speed and strength, delivering an output of 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It’s also optional on the RST, Z71, and Premier models.

The 10-speed automatic transmission takes advantage of this power by making quick yet inconspicuous shifts. These components manage to provide a stunning performance without feeling too busy.

Another impressive feature is the SUV’s towing capability. Again with the 6.2-L, the four-wheel-drive (4WD) model can haul up to 8,100 lbs, and when rightfully geared, it can max out at 8,400 lbs.

Miami Lakes Chevy

When it comes to the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe, the world is truly your oyster. There are also plenty of factory options that can be had such as the Driver Alert Package (LT, RST, and Z71), new Off-Road Performance package (Z71), and new Reverse Automaking Braking (Premier and High Country).

There is even a Luxury package with a 360-degree camera system and rear pedestrian alert, plus self-dimming side mirrors, power-adjustable steering column, heated steering wheel, and heated outboard second-row seats (three higher trims).

You can enjoy all of these features by making your purchase of the latest Tahoe SUV at Miami Lakes Automall. We sell a wide range of vehicles from the brand ranging in various shapes and sizes. Those who are interested in this vehicle can simply view our online new car inventory for assistance.

J.D. Power Esteems The Chevy Tahoe With Its 2022 ALG Residual Value Award

Monday, December 6th, 2021

The Chevrolet Tahoe was acknowledged by American data analytics and consumer intelligence company, J.D.Power in the establishment’s recent U.S. ALG Residual Value Awards for 2022.

In determining the vehicles deemed worthy of acknowledgment for the J.D’s Power Awards, car models looked to have the most potential in holding the highest percentage of their MSRP after three years of ownership are evaluated. These awards were accessed by ALG, a division of J.D. Power.

Chevrolet’s full-size SUV was ranked highest in the Fullsize Utility segment of the recognitions. Other notable competitors include the Subaru Forester in the Compact Utility segment, the Jeep Grand Wagoneer in the Premium Fullsize Utility Segment, and the Ford Bronco in the Off-Road Utility segment.

For the latest 2022 Residual Value Awards, J.D. Power had a total of 284 different models assessed, with 29 individual vehicle segments acknowledged. On top of this, the data analytics company evaluated 16 different brands for awards in either the Mass Market segment or the Premium segment, with the former segment being secured by Honda, and the Lexus getting the win in the latter.

J.D. calls attention to the fact that there are a number of factors to consider when accessing the residual value of a vehicle over a multi-year lease term. A few examples involve mileage, quality and reliability, equipped options, and the broader macroeconomic environment.

“Accurately forecasting residual values in the auto industry is a key factor in assessing an estimated $225 billion lease portfolio of vehicles in the United States,” said vice president of ALG, Eric Lyman. “The brands and vehicle models that rise to the top demonstrate that they score well across the award program’s criteria, including manufacturers’ superior design and quality.”

One should be reminded that the 2022 Chevy Tahoe is in its second model year for the 5th-gen nameplate, derived from General Motors T1 body-on-frame platform. Powertrain options include the naturally aspirated 5.3L V8 L82 gasoline engine, the naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 L87 gasoline engine, and the 3.0L I6 LM2 turbodiesel Duramax. GM’s Arlington assembly plant in Arlington, Texas will host the production of this award-winning SUV, and when the time comes for the car to hit dealers…

Come and visit Miami Lakes Chevrolet, we carry a wide variety of vehicles from the car company including Tahoe SUVs. It also comes with entertainments like a 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, six USB ports (including Type-C), satellite radio, and Bluetooth. 5 Sensational Features of The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe

Thursday, November 11th, 2021

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that SUVs and crossovers have all but taken over the car market, and each year this interest in these types of vehicles grows even more, with the Chevrolet Tahoe serving as one of the main leads in its segment. This full-sized SUV is back for the 2022 model year, and it’s introducing a more powerful engine and a slew of new and exciting features. Here are 5 Sensational Features of The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe!

Expanded 6.2-Liter V8 Engine

The base engine on the upcoming Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V8, which has an incredible output of 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Then for daredevils, Chevrolet also provides its Tahoe buyers with the option of a larger 6.2-liter V8 that produces a magnificent 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Even still, the car still manages to get a combined average of 21 mpg.

Transparent Trailer View

Due to the length and weight distribution of a trailer, towing these campers can prove to be quite difficult for driving, and even more so with the blocked view. In the same way as its kinsman, the GMC Sierra, the new Tahoe implements a translucent trailer view system, which ensures that the driver can see through the trailer by the use of attachable cameras. This is together with the 13 available camera views surrounding the vehicles, making dead angles virtually impossible when driving.

Seamless Infotainment System With Google services

The Chevrolet company is very adept in providing advanced in-cabin features, particularly when it comes to infotainment. This is even more expected in its luxury vehicles like the Tahoe. For this model year, this concept is taken even further with its effective stand-alone technology that necessitates very little connection with your phone due to the built-in Google functionality. Some examples include Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play.

Android users will also appreciate the Android Auto systems, which enables one to download his or her apps into the infotainment system, making them accessible through the 10.2-inch touchscreen. This helps to alleviate the distraction of messing with your phone while zooming on the freeway.

Magnetic Ride Control (MRC)

The Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) is an incredibly innovative technology of the automaker. This system adapts the shock-absorbing resistance of the Tahoe to the road condition in real-time. This is contrary to regular mechanical components used in traditional suspension and shock absorbers, the MRC uses monotube dampers full of magnetorheological fluid.

The density of the fluid either increases or decreases according to what is required in the reaction to the wheel forces while driving on various terrains and handled by a set of sensors and an electronic control unit. The MRC is tremendously swift and precise, making driving in any condition stress-free.

8,400-Pound Towing Capacity

The 2022 Tahoe’s 6.2-liter V8 engine isn’t just fast, it’s also quite mighty, with its towing ability amounting to a maximum of 8,400 lbs. A capacity like this, taking long camping trips all summer long will become like second nature.

This will produce 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It will provide consumers with a more fuel-efficient and torque-rich engine. All three engines will be paired with General Motors’ hydra-matic 10-speed automatic transmission.

In addition to the off-road performance package, consumers will need to select the off-road capability package.
