5 Sensational Features of The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe

Thursday, November 11th, 2021

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that SUVs and crossovers have all but taken over the car market, and each year this interest in these types of vehicles grows even more, with the Chevrolet Tahoe serving as one of the main leads in its segment. This full-sized SUV is back for the 2022 model year, and it’s introducing a more powerful engine and a slew of new and exciting features. Here are 5 Sensational Features of The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe!

Expanded 6.2-Liter V8 Engine

The base engine on the upcoming Tahoe is a 5.3-liter V8, which has an incredible output of 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque. Then for daredevils, Chevrolet also provides its Tahoe buyers with the option of a larger 6.2-liter V8 that produces a magnificent 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque. Even still, the car still manages to get a combined average of 21 mpg.

Transparent Trailer View

Due to the length and weight distribution of a trailer, towing these campers can prove to be quite difficult for driving, and even more so with the blocked view. In the same way as its kinsman, the GMC Sierra, the new Tahoe implements a translucent trailer view system, which ensures that the driver can see through the trailer by the use of attachable cameras. This is together with the 13 available camera views surrounding the vehicles, making dead angles virtually impossible when driving.

Seamless Infotainment System With Google services

The Chevrolet company is very adept in providing advanced in-cabin features, particularly when it comes to infotainment. This is even more expected in its luxury vehicles like the Tahoe. For this model year, this concept is taken even further with its effective stand-alone technology that necessitates very little connection with your phone due to the built-in Google functionality. Some examples include Google Assistant, Google Maps, and Google Play.

Android users will also appreciate the Android Auto systems, which enables one to download his or her apps into the infotainment system, making them accessible through the 10.2-inch touchscreen. This helps to alleviate the distraction of messing with your phone while zooming on the freeway.

Magnetic Ride Control (MRC)

The Magnetic Ride Control (MRC) is an incredibly innovative technology of the automaker. This system adapts the shock-absorbing resistance of the Tahoe to the road condition in real-time. This is contrary to regular mechanical components used in traditional suspension and shock absorbers, the MRC uses monotube dampers full of magnetorheological fluid.

The density of the fluid either increases or decreases according to what is required in the reaction to the wheel forces while driving on various terrains and handled by a set of sensors and an electronic control unit. The MRC is tremendously swift and precise, making driving in any condition stress-free.

8,400-Pound Towing Capacity

The 2022 Tahoe’s 6.2-liter V8 engine isn’t just fast, it’s also quite mighty, with its towing ability amounting to a maximum of 8,400 lbs. A capacity like this, taking long camping trips all summer long will become like second nature.

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Dare To Indulge You Just A Bit More

Tuesday, October 5th, 2021

The Chevrolet company is preparing to revamp their Tahoe and Suburban SUVs for their 2022 model, but don’t worry, they aren’t throwing out the baby with the bath water. Instead, the automaker is simply making their formula more agreeable to a larger crowd, and they’re doing this by making their 6.2-L V8 engine more available. While this motor was previously reserved as the standard engine on the top-ranking High Country trim, and not even an option on the others, it’s now being unlocked on the RST, Z71, and Premier levels. Now more buyers will get to enjoy a thrilling ride with the powertrains output of 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque.

Last month (September 10th), we discussed that this engine might require additional options, with the exclusion of the Premier. The Premier model with the V8 motor has a standalone option. At the same time, RST buyers will need to get the Sport Performance Package, while buyers of the Z71 will have to get either the Z71 Off-Road Package or mixture of packages such as Off-Road Performance, Off-Road Capability, Max Trailering, and Luxury.

On the Z71 trim, the new electronic limited-slip differential is included in the Off-Road Performance Package, which results in better responsiveness from the rear wheels while driving when the roads are slippery. Those who opt for this package also means that they’ll get the Max Trailering and Luxury Packages too.

The availability of other two engine options in the lineup don’t change, specifically the 5.3-liter V8 with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft, and the 3.0-liter diesel with 277 hp and 460 lb-ft.

Inhouse, beginning with the LT model and up, the gauge cluster expands to a fully digital 12-3 inch display with four preset configurations. Google Automotive has been implemented into the vehicle systems for better integration of particular apps and services. This involves voice commands, which means without plugging in his or her phone, passengers can use Google Assistnt’s voice control to make changes, such as with the stereo volume, the radio stations, or the climate control. The 10.2-inch infotainment touchscreen is brought over, but it will show up to 13 different camera angles when matched with a trailer that it’s compatible with, and a suitable Trailering package. If connected, these images include a a rear trailer view, picture-in-picture side view, and the scene inside a trailer

As part of the brand’s Safety Assist Suite, all trims are geared with Front and Rear Park Assist and Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning. It also comes with five surplus driver assist technologies, and even Buckle to Drive. There are five new designs available on particular trims, while each Tahoe and Suburban have three new colors for buyers to select from: Auburn Metallic, Dark Ash Metallic, and Evergreen Gray Metallic.

It’s worth noting that ordering some of these options might be contingent on the current happenings regarding the chip shortage, possibly having you faced with either lessening some items off your shopping list or just being patient. The 2022 Tahoe and Suburban will begin their production at General Motors Arlington, Texas facility in October, with pricing being announced at a later date.

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban Set The Standard For Full-Size SUVs

Friday, September 10th, 2021

New Features For 2022

As with many automakers, the Chevrolet company performed a few nips and tucks on their new vehicles, particularly the upcoming Tahoe SUV and its extended Suburban sibling. Improvements that have been made the inside (all but base LS model) include a new 12-inch digital gauge display fenced in by a conventional analog tacho- and speedometer. These trims also receive a standard navigation system from the 10.2-inch central infotainment touchscreen. Additional standard features include Lane-Keeping Assist and parking sensors. At the same time, Reverse Automatic Braking is included in the high-ranking trims’ Enhanced Display and Alert package. Lastly, the 6.2-liter V8 option stretches to the ZR1, RST and Premier models, but with the exclusion of the Premier, you’ll need to select one or more packages.

Size Increase and Cargo Capacity

Last year, parent company, General Motors gave their full-size SUVs a complete revamp after nearly thirty years. These enhancements included a highly-anticipated switch to the independent rear suspension, which in turn allowed for extra interior space and cargo capacity. The 2022 Tahoe increased its overall length by 6.7 inches, along with 4.9 inches of its wheelbase. Meanwhile, the Suburban added 1.3 inches to its length and an incredible 4.1 inches to its wheelbase.

The Tahoe’s interior gains 3 inches of legroom in the second row, and a surplus of 10.1 inches in the third row partly due to the lower floor. The Surban also increases its space by a bit over 2 inches of legroom in each row.

Cargo space also made great improvements. In the Tahoe SUV, cargo measurements have increased by 10.2 cubic feet (specifically 25.5 cubes), while the Suburban increased its space by 2.2 cubic feet (overall 41.5 cubes).

Performance and Towing Specifications

There are three different engine types to pick for the 2022 Tahoe and Suburban. The entry-level motor is a naturally aspirated 5.3-liter V8, which has an output of 355 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. It’s matched with a 10-speed automatic transmission and has an available rear-wheel-drive (RWD) or four-wheel-drive (4WD).

Optional on the Z71, RST, Premier and High Country models is another naturally aspirated V8, but a 6.2-liter. It musters up 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. As with the 5.3-liter, it includes the same type of automatic and drive systems.

Additionally, the automaker is offering a unique diesel 3.0-liter inline-six engine, which is only one like in its class. It has an output of 277 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque, and also shares the 10-speed automatic.

Towing capacities range from 7,500 and 8,000 lbs subject to body style, engine, and drivetrain. The tow package also increases capacity with each model, but only by a small margin.

Available Features

Basic gear that you’ll find in the beloved Chevrolet SUVs are the 5.3-liter V8, engine and transmission coolers, and a limited-slip differential. External features involve 18-inch alloy wheels, heated side mirrors, running boards, rear parking sensors, LED headlights and remote start. Internal gadgets encompass three-zone climate control, eight-way power driver seat and six-way power passenger seat, the 10-inch infotainment screen, 4.2-inch screen in the instrument cluster, a six-speaker sound system, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, driver assist features.

On higher trims, like the Z71, drivers get to revel in the charming and exclusive front fascia and bumper, which provides the car with a more aggressive appearance. It also includes hill-descent control, 20-inch wheels, all-terrain tires and a skid plate. Then, the luxurious High Country comes with the 6.2-liter V8, magnetic and air suspension, 22-inch wheels, 360-degree cameras, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring and lane keep assist, rear camera mirror, leather heated and cooled front seats, heated steering wheel, heated second-row seats, power-folding rear seats, a large instrument panel screen and head-up display, 10-speaker Bose sound system, and wireless phone charging.

On top of this, there are optional towing assist on both SUVs, which have cameras that have up to nine different views for maneuvering and monitoring one’s trailer. They are standard with a trailer guidance feature along with a rear-view camera. There’s even an app on the infotainment system that allows users to store information about their trailer and perform various checks as they hook up the motor home.

Safety and Driver Assist Features

At last, the Chevy Tahoe and Suburban advocate for safety as they provide owners with an array of technologies, such as the standard automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist, front and rear parking sensors, automatic high-beam headlights, and a rear-seat reminder. Optional technologies (standard on higher trims) include reverse automatic emergency braking, blind-spot warning, rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.

General Motors Says That Their Super Cruise System Will Upgrade With Lane Changes and More

Tuesday, August 3rd, 2021

Powering Up The Super Cruise System

General Motors (GM) prized possession, the Super Cruise system, is one of the most innovative driver-assist technologies currently on the market, and for 2022, it’s getting even more advanced and more accessible to other vehicles, such as the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra half-ton pickup trucks.

One of the main upgrades of the Super Cruise system is hands-free automatic lane changing, which will give the car the ability to access when it’s safe to pass a car driving in front of you and change lanes when permissible without any action needed from the driver.

Other advancements include hands-free towing, which is helpful for those moving trailers, and improvements in navigation.

This Super system was first brought to the automotive scene in 2017 in GM’s Cadillac CT6 sedan. It was during this introduction that we saw how the car was capable of guiding drivers to and fro over 200,000 miles of various highways across the States, all on its own. By utilizing both the GPS and on-board cameras, it compares the placement of the vehicle to its location in a lidar scan of the globe. Once the car understands its location, and it’s safe to take over operations, the Cruiser will literally take the wheel, as well as control the acceleration.

However, this doesn’t mean that the driver should then slack off, as they are required to pay attention in the same way as they were when they were piloting. In fact, the system involves technology that can sense whether or not the driver’s eyes are on the road. Should their eyes roam elsewhere, the system will start with various warnings before completely deactivating. If this is not the case, in most cases, there will be no need to take over.

The automaker says that this driver assistance feature will be found on a wealth of different vehicles such as the upcoming GMC Hummer electric pickup, the GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado pickups, the Cadillac Escalade and XT6 SUVs, and the Cadillac CT4 and CT5 sedans. Additionally, buyers of the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt will get to enjoy an older version of Super Cruise, which of course, will not include the lane change features. However, buyers of the 2021 Escalade models will get the new features in a future over-the-air update.

GM still needs to watch its back, as its fierce competitor, Ford, has plans to launch its own driving system, the hands-free BlueCruise, which is coming later this year in 2021 F-150 pickups, as well as the electric Mustang Mach-E car.

Another rival is the Autopilot system from Tesla. They also have a new beta version of its Full Self Driving features which even back automatic lane changes on the highway. On the flip side, the company says that the driver still has to keep his or her hands on the steering wheel to confirm their attentiveness…which completely defeats the purpose of the system.

While both Super Cruise and Autopilot aren’t necessarily newcomers on the market, they were not featured in any pickup trucks, which are the most popular vehicles in the States. In conjunction with Super Cruise and BlueCruise, these technologies will be brought to a new market of truck buyers in more ways than one.

Ultimately, the hatchback came in second place in the electric vehicle segment, as the Toyota Prius earned 45 percent of the rest of the share, specifically with a 175 percent increase in sales volume. Yet and still, the Chevrolet subcompact outsold the remaining segment, which involved the Hyundai Ioniq, the fresh-off-the-block Volkswagen ID.4,, the Honda Clarity, and its biggest rival, the Nissan Leaf.

It’s also worth knowing that these specific reports from the blog site, GM Authority, encompass both hybrid and plug-in hybrid variants, such as the case with the Honda Clarity. These big and bad automakers’ new energy vehicle segment has seen a significant expansion with over 264 percent to 54,796 units in Q2 2021, which means that the Bolt EV outperformed considerably in its segment.

The 2022 Chevy Silverado ZR2 May Get Off-Roading Features

Tuesday, July 13th, 2021

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is a mean and aggressive pickup that earns its props for its off-road capabilities. The midsize pickup’s spool valve shocks are serious executors of their job, while the underside is geared up to be able to tackle more difficult situations and increase function. The high-quality Colorado model is just what the doctor ordered on a nice off-roading day, and the optional turbodiesel engine isn’t too shabby either. Now it appears that the automaker wants to implement this work of genius on its full-size 2022 Silverado, which would move a step above the Trail Boss trim in the lineup.

It’s questionable whether this upcoming Silverado ZR2 will increase in its strength, but decrease in its speed, or perhaps get the best of both worlds. For the moment, we’ll have to wait until the automaker releases the engine specs, especially because it’s certain that it will have particular features that will be unlike many pick-ups on the market, if not all of them.

One thing that should be expected is that the shock absorbers of the Colorado’s Multimatic-acquired Dynamic Suspensions Spool Valve play a key role, as they make way for highly accurate damping control, better cooling, and increased travel. In the Colorado, there is an extra spool valve that is only involved during very large suspension movements. Altogether, the dampers perform better over a vast range of conditions rather than a conventional shock, and that’s whether it’s on or off-road.

Elements that make the Colorado ZR2 stand out are the elevated lift, augmented armor, rock sliders, and re-shaped bumpers to boost angles for approach and departure. There is also a toughened fully-boxed frame, along with its standard front and rear locking differentials. It’s certain that the Silverado ZR2 will have a better lift in contrast to the Trail Boss, brawnier skid plates, and similar number treatment as its miniature family member. The extra frame support may or may not be needed. Judging from Chevrolet’s teaser video, it seems that Silverado ZR2 will keep its rear leaf spring setup, like the Colorado, opposed to employing the arrangement of the F-150 Raptor and Ram TRX.

As for the engine components of the Silverado ZR2, more than likely the regular L87 6.2-liter V-8 that produces a healthy 420 hp and 460 lb-ft will be used, and will still be a worthy competitor against the Ram Rebel’s 5.7-liter.

One should know that the Colorado ZR2 also offers a Duramax turbo diesel option, and if the automaker wants, it can also offer the Silverado ZR2 with that powertrain’s larger sibling: the highly effective Duramax I-6 turbodiesel. Though it only produces 277 horsepower it makes up for it with 460 lb-ft of torque, and also has excellent fuel economy figures.

We should know more about what Chevrolet has in store for its truck enthusiasts by this fall but in the meantime…Miami Lakes Automall is selling vehicles in various shapes and sizes from the automaker such as the Silverado and the Colorado trucks. Those who are interested in any of our vehicles can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

2022 Chevy Traverse Loses Is L Trim But Gains So Much More

Wednesday, June 16th, 2021

Three Chevrolet vehicles are losing their entry-level L trims for the 2022 model year, and they are the Traverse, Blazer, and Malibu. It has also been revealed that the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse won’t even have the L trim as an available option, which now makes the LS trim the new base model.

The current 2021 Traverse SUV offers almost all of the same standard features for the L and LS models. The main distinction between the two is that the LS trim has a lot more available options for buyers to choose from. For example, one can bring on either 18-inch or 20-inch gloss wheels, specifically black-painted aluminum wheels, along with a black finish grille and black badging on the exterior. Inward, the Traverse LS also has available cargo nets, floor liners, and packages that you wouldn’t find on the previous base models. It is expected that the LS trim should continue to have all of these aforesaid conveniences available for the upcoming model year.

One con, however, of the 2022 Traverse L’s retirement is that more than likely, the mid-size crossover will now have a higher starting price. The 2021 Traverse L is currently priced at $30,995, (plus destination fee), while the 2021 LS is priced at $34,395, (plus destination fee). It has not yet been confirmed by the automaker whether the starting price of the LS trim will stay the same for the following model year.

The 2022 Chevy Traverse will also get a slightly refashioned design for the exterior, which will encompass modified headlamps and taillamps, a revamped front fascia, and developed grille options. Additionally, buyers will be able to select between Cherry Red Tintcoat, Northsky Blue Metallic, and Silver Sage Metallic for the three new paint colors. This makes up for the fact that Cajun Red Tintcoat, Satin Steel Metallic, and Graphite Metallic will no longer be a part of the color palette.

The Chevrolet Safety Assist package is filled with driver-assistance technologies, which will be standard on all 2022 Traverse models. Our favorite safety features include automatic emergency braking, lane-keeping assist w/ lane-departure warning, and blind-spot monitoring.

The standard automatic emergency system will intuitively apply the brakes if the system senses an impending collision and the driver doesn’t react. Lane-keeping assist (also standard) warns drivers if their vehicle is drifting too much in the other lane and also has the means to keep the SUV centered. Moreover, the optional blind-spot monitoring warns the driver if there are other vehicles on the side.

Lastly, drivers will be able to connect his or her phone to the infotainment system thanks to wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay capabilities. A couple more exciting comforts include the brand’s subscription-based OnStar-connected services with 4G LTE and in-vehicle Wi-Fi, which both come standard.

When the time comes to purchase the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse SUV, be sure to do it at Miami Lakes Automall. We carry an extensive range of vehicles from the brand in a variety of different styles and prices. Those who are interested in any of our models can simply view our online new car inventory and chat with a representative for further assistance.

North American Auto Sales Skyrocket For SUVs and EVs

Wednesday, June 9th, 2021

How Sales In The Automotive World Are Increasing

Thursday, (July 1), North American car makers reported a dramatic increase in quarterly sales on an intense demand for SUVs and signaled the growing trend reaching into 2022, as more consumers swing to private conveyance and the lineup for new electric vehicles for launch.

Social effects from the coronavirus pandemic brought on factors like low interest rates, government stimulus checks, and more fondness for personal transportation, which in turn increased the demand for cars, this is still true in the midst of rising prices following the restricted inventories from the worldwide chip shortage.

Increased vehicle prices have raised profitability for automakers, who have also heightened their investments in the production of electric vehicles.

The General Motors company said that its Chevrolet Bolt EV displayed record deliveries for the second quarter, totaling Chevrolet sales up to 31%, while its sales for its premium Buick SUVs sky-rocketed 86%.

“We expect continued high demand in the second half of this year and into 2022,” Elaine Buckberg, GM’s chief economist, said.

Last June, the top North American automaker elevated its budget for electric vehicles to $35 billion through 2025.

“EV adoption is increasing and reaching an inflection point,” GM Chief Financial Officer Paul Jacobson told reporters on a conference call. “We want to be ready to be able to produce the capacity that we need to meet demand over time.”

It’s also worth noting that that the company is advancing its offer by financially backing a standard installation of a home charging unit:

“To continue building customer interest in electric vehicles and demand for the all-electric 2022 Bolt EUV and redesigned Bolt EV, Chevrolet will cover standard installation of Level 2 charging outlets through a collaboration with Qmerit for most qualified and eligible purchase and lease customers.”

Japan’s Toyota Motor Corporations said that its electric vehicles made up almost a quarter of their sales volume between June of 2021, which is an increase of 13% from last year.

Toyota’s overall sales for North American increased by about 73% to 688,813 vehicles in the second quarter.

“There need to be more models beyond Tesla … next year, the (Ford) F-150 Lightning should help move the needle upward,” said Morningstar analyst David Whiston.

By the second half of 2021, A great number of electrics will make their grand introduction, this also includes Chevrolet Bolt EUV, Hyundai’s Ioniq 5, and Kia’s EV6 models. These debuts will aid in lifting the overall share of EVs in North America from just 2% of all currently registered vehicles.

The Ford company, which sales figures make up over 10,000 units of their Mustang Mach-E SUV in the first five months of 2021, will release the electric version of its top-selling F-150 pickup truck by next year. The automaker’s North American auto sales increased 9.6% to 475,327 units in the second quarter, due to strong demand for their SUVs and electric vehicles.

Individually, figures from analytics firm, Wards Intelligence showed that the rate of North American light-vehicle sales decreased in June to 1.3 million units from 1.6 million in May.

Miami Lakes Chevrolet

With so many options on the market for SUVs and EVs, it can be hard to choose which one shows the most promise. However, one should know that the 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV has an incredible EPA range of 259 miles. It’s also quite energetic and swift in its driving behavior but still manages to excel in handling.

When the time comes to purchase the Bolt EV hatchback, be sure to do it at Miami Lakes Automall. We carry a wide range of Chevrolet vehicles in a variety of different shapes and sizes. 2022 Chevy Bolt EUV And Bolt EV Are Arriving Ahead Of Schedule To Dealerships

Friday, May 21st, 2021

It’s official! The new 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EUV crossover, along with the revamped 2022 Chevrolet Bolt EV hatchback have entered production at General Motors Lake Orion Assembly plant, and are already ahead of schedule in making their way towards dealership lots.

This week, the automaker posted a photo of the upcoming Bolt in the midst of its last inspection on the assembly line, which prompted the caption, “The future is all-electric. The new 2022 Bolt EUV and redesigned Bolt EV have left the factory and are shipping to a Chevrolet dealership near you.”

This revelation comes as quite a surprise, since many automakers experienced delays on rollouts and arrivals due to the microchip shortage, and issues with supply chains. In spite of this, the arrival of the two EV models are coming a month earlier than GM initially said, towards the end of May.

The latest and greatest Bolt EUV and EV made their initial introduction back in February, with the automaker saying at the time that these electrics would start production this summer. The starting price for the hatchback is at $31,995, (plus destination fee). In concert, the EUV has a starting price at $33,995, (plus destination fee). By comparison, the 2021 model year for the Bolt EV, was priced from $37,890, (plus destination fee).

Both of these models get their power from a 288-cell lithium-ion battery pack with a rating of 65 kWh, which delivers power to a front-mounted electric motor that has a maximum power output of 200 horsepower with 266 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the Bolt EUV has an EPA rating of 259 miles from a full charge, while the family-friendly EUV has an estimated range of 247 miles.

The upcoming Bolt EV and EUV are the GM’s most inexpensive electric vehicles at this time and have been viewed as an integral part of its overall objective for each driver to eventually ride in an electric vehicle.

“We want to put everyone in an EV and the new Bolt EUV and redesigned Bolt EV are crucial to doing so,” GM President Mark Reuss commented during the time of the vehicles’ introduction. “Together, they enable mainstream customers to be part of our vision of zero crashes, zero emissions and zero congestion.”

Although it was recently reported that the Bolt EUV, in particular, wouldn’t break the 250-mile mark, as expected, it still offers more than enough driving range to work with. On top of this, it makes up for it with extra space in the rear seating area, as well as additional comfort features. It even has an available sunroof and GM’s Super Cruise hands-free driver-assist system.

What We Know So Far About The 2022 Chevy Blazer

Monday, May 17th, 2021

In 2018, Chevrolet released its Blazer SUV, once again bringing to life its famous nameplate. It was considered quite unexpected, seeing as the name “Blazer” was previously associated with more adventurous vehicles, like the Trailblazer. Nevertheless, the automaker took the smart move by fitting in with the times, as the rise of family-friendly crossovers is undeniable.

For its upcoming model, the company is offering some minor changes here and there. Here’s everything that you need to know about the 2022 Chevrolet Blazer.

It’s Keeping Its Three Engine Options

Chevrolet’s main intent of launching its crossover line-up was to introduce a sense of comfort and easiness to the drivers and their passengers as much as possible, therefore, one shouldn’t expect a complete revamp of powertrain options each model and every model year.

In this case, there is hardly a change at all. The standard 2.5-liter 4-cylinder has 193 horsepower and lb-ft of torque, and will only be available with front-wheel-drive (FWD). The next engine is the optional 2.0-liter turbocharger, it produces an excellent 237 horsepower with 258 lb-ft of torque. It’s also quite fuel-efficient and will have an available all-wheel-drive (AWD) system.

The third and final option that has the most pep in its step is the 3.6-liter V6 engine, pushing out 308 horsepower with 270 lb-ft of torque. All three motors are joined with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Maintains Its Lovable Crossover Body

Contrary to its venturesome roots, the crossover is made for the city streets. The early design of this Chevrolet vehicle is derived from the automaker’s iconic muscle car, the Camaro. The Blazer has a style that is incredibly modern and sleek, which is helped by features like the sharp lines, slender headlights, sloped roofline, and larger two-layered grille.

The 2022 model will keep the same unibody frame, as well as the wheelbase of 113 inches and the length of 192 inches. Then, the 64.3 cubic feet of cargo space should satisfy basic needs. There’s also a generous amount of space in both the front and back row. Interior elements like the trim pieces and circular air vents will follow-on the newest model.

Already Born With Plenty Of Features

Chevrolet has already packed on the safety and comfort features in its models. The 2022 Blazer will continue to sport standard nifties like an 8-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto compatibility, AM/FM radio dual-zone climate control a six-speaker stereo, Bluetooth audio streaming, in-car wireless internet hardware, four USB ports, plus cruise control, keyless entry, 18” wheels, and all-season tires.

Optional features will also carry over, such as wireless smartphone charging rear park assist, rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, front pedestrian braking, lane keep assist, lane change alert with blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, lane departure warning, a rear camera mirror, a surround-view parking camera system, forward collision alert, high-speed automatic emergency braking, and adaptive cruise control.

Moreover, since it was recently announced that the upcoming Blazer will lose its entry-level L and 1LT, this may allow certain features that were previously exclusive to trims in a higher tier to become standard.

Today’s Automotive Trend May Change The Cost

For the past few years, automakers have been slowly making the transition to electric vehicles. With upcoming EVs like the Ford Mustang Mach-E, Tesla Model X and Y, and Hyundai Kona Electric, it’s quite plausible that Chevy may want to follow suit with its 2022 Blazer.

Though there is no official announcement in this regard nor the starting price, it’s estimated that the cost will range from $29,000, (plus destination fee) to $45,000, (plus destination fee). The mid-size vehicle is also set to go on sale close to November 2021.
