The Next-Gen Chevy Equinox Gets Spotted In A Boxier Design

Spy Shots On The Upcoming Equinox

The upcoming Chevrolet Equinox was recently captured in spy shots outside General Motors’ Milford Proving Grounds in Michigan. Chevrolet keeps hiding the 2025 model in a camouflage get-up, making its design and shape unclear.

What has been gathered from the spy shots is that the 2025 Equinox appears boxier than the present model, possibly bringing on styling elements from the Traverse SUV that’s also in the midst of a revamp. The new look also has a more upright front end and a squared-off rear.

The slotted grille can be seen through the mesh casing of the front, which also shields the headlights. The daytime running lights hint at the car’s face, but that’s the extent of the similarities. The combustion-powered Equinox appears more prepared for off-roading than the current model and mightier than its electrified version.

Spy photographers still haven’t been able to get a good glimpse of an interior, which should also get a reworked design with a more significant focus on screens and tech features, as the company released the Equinox EV with a dual-screen setup on the dashboard.

While there isn’t much information regarding the powertrain setup for the next generation of the Equinox, the current model uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 175 horsepower with 203 lb-ft of torque. This is the only engine available across the lineup, and it’s plausible that it could also be used for the upcoming model with some minor upgrades. The company could add a hybrid configuration to make it even more effective.

Chevrolet will sell the reworked SUV and the latest Equinox EV (set to go on sale in the fall of this year). This electric Equinox will involve different styling elements and offer up to 300 miles of range. The front-wheel-drive (FWD) version has an estimated output of 210 horsepower, while the all-wheel-drive (AWD) dual-motor setup musters 290 horses. The base-level 1LT will have a starting price of around $30,000 (plus destination fee).

The new Chevrolet Equinox should introduce itself later, likely going on sale in early 2024 for the 2025 model year. As with other automakers, Chevrolet is phasing from gas-powered vehicles to only producing electric models. Namely, the Equinox EV, Blazer EV, and Silverado EV will go on sale by the end of this year, getting in on the action with the Bolt EV and Bolt EUV.

EVs like the Chevy Bolt EV have done exceptionally well, but the automaker is looking toward new EVs like the Silverado EV and Colorado EV. Although these are still in production, the automaker wants to compete with others like Ford and Tesla. Despite this focus, Chevrolet has still shown its combustion engine lineup attention. As such, we’ll look at the Chevrolet Suburban and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Chevrolet Suburban Performance

The Suburban also offers a comfortable drive thanks to its independent rear suspension and magnetic ride control.

The 2023 Suburban offers up to 8,300 pounds of towing capacity for towing. With features like magnetic ride control, an air ride adaptive suspension, and an advanced trailering system, owners will have no trouble towing and hauling. As for fuel economy, the family-sized SUV sees 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway when equipped with a diesel engine. Inside the 2023 Suburban

Inside the 2023 Suburban, owners will note an interior cabin that combines comfort with convenience. Depending on the trim, the large SUV will feature upscale materials with high-end upholstery. 5 Reasons To Consider The 2023 Chevy Colorado

The 2023 Chevy Colorado recently arrived with a brand-new refresh. The mid-size pickup truck received new styling updates and some performance upgrades. Chevrolet also provided third-generation Colorado with an array of customization options. Lately, Chevrolet has been focused on electric vehicles like the Chevy Bolt. The automaker has also expanded its EV lineup with new EVs like the Silverado and Corvette E-Ray. While these new EVs are all exciting, it’s nice to see the automaker continuing to update its combustion engine lineup. Given its new refresh, we’ll list five reasons consumers should consider the 2023 Chevy Colorado, which starts at an MSRP of $29,200 (plus destination fee).

1) Powerful Engine

The first reason to consider the 2023 Chevy Colorado is its performance. The third-generation Colorado comes equipped with a turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder engine that delivers 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. This 2.7L is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. Those wanting even more power can opt for the rugged ZR2 trim. This powerful trim equips the Colorado with a more powerful version of the 2.7L, which delivers 310 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque.

2) Off-Road Capability

Another reason to consider the 2023 Colorado is its off-road capability. As mentioned, the mid-size pickup features an off-road trim called the ZR2. This trim rides on 33-inch tires and features a 3-inch lifted suspension with a wide chassis. It offers exclusive Multimatic DSSV dampers and aluminum skid plates for underbody protection. The off-road trim utilizes the powerful 2.7L engine and features drive modes like Baja, Off-Road, and Terrain.

3) Towing Capability

The third reason is the Colorado’s towing capabilities. Equipped with the 2.7L engine, the mid-size pickup truck sees a maximum towing capacity of 7,700 pounds. This is enhanced with features like the Advanced Trailering Package, which equips the Colorado with hill start assist, trailer sway control, and trailer theft alerts. Overall, the mid-size pickup truck offers a concise trailering system that allows owners to tow and haul easily.

4) New Infotainment System

The Chevy Colorado’s updated infotainment system is another reason to consider it. Chevrolet redesigned the mid-size pickup truck’s center console to fit around its new 11.3-inch diagonal touchscreen. This display offers owners customizable menu options and allows them to utilize several driver-assist features. The system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Google built-in services.

5) Driver-Assist Features

Finally, consumers should consider the 2023 Chevy Colorado because of its driver-assist features. The mid-size truck offers an off-road performance display showing owners real-time statistics like tire pressure or GPS navigation data. There are also features for towing, like hitch guidance and hitch view. Owners also have access to 10 different camera views to help them when hauling cargo. For safety, the Colorado features Chevy Safety Assist, which includes departure warnings, lane assist, and pre-collision alerts. There’s also adaptive cruise control.

A Look At The Newly Refreshed 2023 Chevy Colorado

The 2023 Chevrolet Colorado is soon set to arrive with a new refresh. This refresh will bring new styling updates and increased performance to the mid-size pickup. As of late, Chevrolet has been working on its EV lineup. With new electric vehicles like the Silverado EV and Corvette E-Ray on the way, it’s nice to see Chevrolet showing its combustion engine lineup attention. In addition to new styling, the 2023 Colorado will offer consumers a vast array of customization. Owners will be able to choose from over 200 accessories. We’ll take a closer look at the 2023 Chevy Colorado and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Chevy Colorado Sees New Refresh

The newly refreshed 2023 Chevy Colorado is here. The mid-size pickup arrives with new styling as well as increased performance. Chevrolet has provided the new Colorado with a complete overhaul that gives the truck a bold new look and refines the interior cabin. For performance, the 2023 Colorado sees a turbocharged 2.7L four-cylinder engine that delivers 237 horsepower and 259 lb-ft of torque. This pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD Has Become Technologically Sound

The Chevy Silverado is known for its durable design and remarkable off-road performance that is hard to find from any other brand. However, this full-size truck is not known for its in-car technologies…until now.

GM Authority reports that the 2024 Silverado HD truck will now involve Wireless Phone Projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, serving as a standard across all trim levels. This technology will be applied to both 2500 HD and 3500 HD series trucks.

One should know that the latest Silverado HD Work Truck (WT) and Custom models are geared with the brand’s Infotainment 3 system with a seven-inch touchscreen.

At the same time, the LT, LTZ, and highest-ranking High Country Silverados are fixed with the company’s Infotainment 3 Premium system with Google included. These particular HDs come standard with a 13.4-inch touchscreen.

Creating standard wireless phone projection for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto throughout every trim level of the latest Chevy Silverado HD is a considerable change from the 2023 model. On this year’s HD, the accessibility of the wireless phone projection was based on the following trim levels:

  • Work Truck (WT): not available
  • Custom: not available
  • LT: only available as part of the Convenience Package II or the Advanced Trailing Package (ZL6)
  • LTZ: standard feature
  • High Country: standard feature

General Motors is making other improvements to the 2024 Silverado HD, specifically by either lessening or doing away with some features and producing others that were either optional or unavailable on some trims, making them standard.

These improvements are part of the Silverado’s refresh for the mid-cycle. The latest HD gets a reworked front fascia with new headlights for a more intensive, high-end look. Inhouse, the Silverado has an entirely restructured cockpit for LT, LTZ, and High Country models, implementing a new 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a center stack with the aforementioned 13.4-inch touchscreen.

The 2024 Silverado HD will have lower 12-volt outlet availability. The front auxiliary power outlet will still serve as a standard feature on WT and Custom models but not on LT, LTZ, and High Country trims. Meanwhile, the rear auxiliary 12-volt outlet is eliminated from all trims.

The revamped Silverado HD tacks on a plethora of standards and options. Automatic Emergency Braking is now featured as a standard on every model. The automaker will make Adaptive Cruise Control a standalone option or included as part of the numerous optional packages contingent on the trim.

At last, the Z71 Off-Road Package can be had on the Custom model for the first time, as it was previously only accessible on the WT, LT, LTZ, and High Country.

Orders opened up for the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD last month, with the MSRP starting price at $45,295 (plus destination fee) for the 2-wheel-drive 2500 HD WT and extends to $75,995 (plus destination fee) MSRP for a 4-wheel-drive 3500 HD High Country with a crew cab, long bed, and dual rear wheel (DRW) set-up.

The Chevy Bolt Wins Edmunds Over With Its Practical Charm

The Chevrolet Bolt EV was recently selected as Edmunds Top Rated Electric Car for 2023. You read that right. This small, electric bow-tied hatchback was deemed too “impossible to ignore,” by the car review website that it simply couldn’t go unnoticed. Edmunds said that utility, handy features, a healthy range rating, and a fantastically low price of entry” made it the obvious choice for their Top Rated Electric Car for 2023.

While the Bolt EV isn’t the most prestigious car out there, nor is it made to weave in and out through the freeway, it doesn’t need to be because that’s not what makes it unique. Instead, the Bolt combines all your basic needs with driving, utility, and style, ultimately providing an economical package deal.

Starting off, one of the best qualities of the Bolt EV is its affordability. With an MSRP of $27,495 (plus destination fee) for the base level, this car is one of the most accessible cars to buy for the current model year, especially one that is electric. For the price of just one base Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo, you can likely purchase several Bolts. It even outranks the Tesla Model 3 by $20,000. This car is a complete package deal, proving to have remarkable value on the inside out.

The 2023 Bolt has an EPA-estimated range of 259 miles, a number which Edmunds whipped by 19 miles in their real-world range test. This car has more range than other rivals, with much larger batteries than its 66-kWh unit. One might also be stunned by how efficient the hatch is. The American review site said that 54 out of 62 cars ran through the same loop, and the Bolt required less energy. They also mentioned that the car would be more suitable for longer trips than similarly priced competitors such as the Mini Cooper SE and Mazda MX-30.

Moving on to its usefulness—the newest Bolt is an incredibly functional hatch. It’s clear that it means business when providing a family of four with function and space. There are plenty of practical compartments and useful areas in the vehicle while leveraging its tiny body for tight parking spaces. On top of this, the electric powertrain brings the magic to small cars usually powered by regular unfined gas engines. This clean 65 kWh lithium-ion battery results in a smooth and well-mannered ride, one that isn’t common to find in this class.

Blending its effectiveness, high range rating, and accessibility, buyers get an EV that’s nearly guaranteed to bring them more life than any gas guzzler has even been able to do. The ownership of the 2023 Bolt is one that very few buyers will regret, if any, Particularly those working with very tight budgets. The latest Bolt won Edmunds’s s Top Rated Electric Car award without being flashy or a showoff on the highway but simply arresting the basics.

GM Plans New Overhaul For Chevy Express Van

General Motors (GM) has big plans for the Chevy Express van. The full-size van has been around for some time, replacing the Chevy van in 1996. Since then, GM has made some changes and improvements but never anything significant. Despite this, the Chevy Express has continued to serve as a reliable and capable van. Now the time has come for the Chevy Express to see an all-new makeover. The full-size van will receive a new redesign and changes under the hood. It will still have a combustion engine, however. This may be surprising as Chevy has been leaning into electric vehicles lately with its all-new Chevy Silverado EV and Colorado EV. While the decision to remain with a combustion engine may seem counterintuitive, Chevy ensures that it keeps the qualities that make the Chevy Express a reliable van.

Chevy Express Will See New Changes

General Motors (GM) will make changes to the Chevy Express. The full-size van will receive a new redesign as well as some new changes underneath the hood. Having remained relatively unchanged since 1996, GM feels it is time that its passenger van receives some improvements to help it stay relevant among the competition. For one, the Chevy Express will ride on a revised platform called GMT 620. Details remain under wraps, but with a new platform, it’s expected that the van will see further upgrades to its powertrain. Production of the new Chevy Express is likely to occur at the GM Wentzville plant in Missouri.

Additional changes to the Chevy Express will affect the overall design of the full-size van. Again, details have yet to be released, so we’re stuck with the expectation that we will see a brand-new Express sometime in the future. Currently, the Chevy Express provides seating for up to 15 people and offers plenty of room for equipment. The van features a full-frame design and offers several configuration options. Owners can opt for cargo, passenger, or cutaway styles. Each offers distinctive features that are tailored to the needs of the owner.

For its engine options, the Chevy Express offers either a 4.3L V6 engine or a 6.6L V8 engine. The 4.3L delivers 276 horsepower and 298 lb-ft of torque, while the 6.6L delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. The full-size van also offers up to 4,280 pounds of payload capacity. For safety, the Express features side blind zone alerts, lane departure warnings, forward collision alerts, and a rear vision camera. The 2023 Chevy Express starts at an MSRP of $38,100 (plus destination fee). While we do not know much about the new Express, GM will likely add additional features to assist drivers. For now, we will be staying tuned for more information.

The 2024 E-Ray Makes A Dramatic Entrance On The Corvette’s 70th Birthday

2024 E-Ray Debut

On the 70th anniversary of the Chevy Corvette, first introduced at Motorama in New York City, the automaker returned to show off its metamorphosed fully-electric version. Spinning off the Stingray moniker, the 2024 E-Ray is an all-wheel-drive (AWD) monster with a dynamic 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8.

“In 1953, the enthusiastic reaction to the Chevrolet Corvette concept kicked off seven decades of passion, performance and American ingenuity,” said Mark Reuss, General Motors president. “E-Ray, as the first electrified, all-wheel-drive Corvette, takes it a step further and expands the promise of what Corvette can deliver.”

This new Vette, which comes in either a removable roof coupe or hardtop convertible, uses its electric power to augment the driving experience with a fierce straight-line performance, all-weather protection, and race-car-like capabilities that succeed thanks to eAWD.

The E-Ray is the only sports vehicle that matches two separate propulsion systems to provide a naturally aspirated V-8 power with swift responsiveness powered by eAWD.

“Corvette has been a halo for Chevrolet since 1953,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “E-Ray’s unprecedented blend of confidence, luxury performance, sophistication, and style provides a new reason for more people to experience the Corvette.”

The Stingray E-Ray is the fastest production Vette in history, scoring a 2.5-second 0-60 mph time before zooming through the quarter-mile in 10.5 seconds.

“Corvettes must provide an exhilarating driving experience on backroads and tracks, and E-Ray nails it,” said Tadge Juechter, chief executive engineer, Corvette. “The electrification technology enhances the feeling of control in all conditions, adding an unexpected degree of composure.”

The 6.2L LT2 Small Block V-8 is responsible for the high-intensity drive, producing 495 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque. It works with an electric motor that channels an extra 160 horsepower and 125 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels using a 1.9 kWh battery pack. Ultimately, this amplified Corvette produces a combined 655 horsepower from the electric motor and V-8 engine.

Upscale Design

The appearance of the E-Ray keeps its sporty and performance-centered style from the previous Corvettes. The car also maintains its wide-body Z06 proportions, with fitting wide wheels that allow for better torque delivery. The alloy wheels even have an excellent twisted five-spoke star design that solely belongs to the E-Ray.

“There’s never been a Corvette like E-Ray, and its sophisticated design reflects that,” said Phil Zak, executive design director, Global Chevrolet. “It starts with the body color trim, which draws your full attention to the exotic proportions of the E-Ray. The interiors allow customers to reflect their individual personalities with their choice of color executions that provide a refined or dynamic sport look and feel.”

Standout design features include:

  • Four aluminum wheel finishes
  • Fourteen exterior color choices, like the new 2024 Riptide Blue, Seawolf Gray, and Cacti
  • A special body-length stripe package in Electric Blue
  • Standard carbon flash badging
  • Optional black exhaust tips and bright badging
  • Optional carbon fiber ground effects
  • Available carbon fiber wheels in carbon flash, visible carbon fiber finish, or visible carbon fiber with a red stripe

The all-electric Vette also brings in a new Artemis Dipped interior, with harmonious deep green tones on almost every surface. This will be the only color available on the new E-Rays. There are several options for shoppers when customizing their new ride, such as two carbon fiber trim packages, three seat choices, seven interior colors, and much more.

On top of this, new Charge+ and Stop/Start buttons are featured on the console, along with advancements to the infotainment system and instrument cluster centered at allowing a more cohesive appearance.

And Later…

The 2024 Corvette E-Ray is set to go on sale this year (2023) with a starting MSRP of $104,2954 (plus destination fee) for the 1LZ coupe and $111,2954 (plus destination fee) for the 1LZ convertible model. Production is ready to go at GM’s Bowling Green Assembly facility in Kentucky from North American and globally sourced parts.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD Will Soon Open For Reservations

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD will soon become available to order. The heavy-duty pickup truck recently received an all-new refresh that updated its exterior styling. Chevrolet also updated the Silverado HD’s cabin with new technology and powertrain upgrades. As of late, the automaker has been focusing on updating its entire lineup. New EVs, like the Silverado EV and Colorado EV, have also been a focus. While electric pickup trucks have been at the forefront, combustion engine trucks still serve a purpose. We’ll look at the newly refreshed 2024 Chevy Silverado HD and see what consumers can expect.

What To Expect From The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD

The 2024 Chevy Silverado HD will soon become available to the public. Order banks are set to open in the middle of January. General Motors will start accepting reservation orders for the heavy-duty pickup truck on January 19th. The Silverado HD will come with new updates as well as new styling. Chevrolet made sure to give the heavy-duty truck a new facelift that helped it stay relevant among its competition. The truck will see a new grille and new C-shaped LED lighting signatures. It will also see new wheel options. The Silverado HD will see a new dashboard design and more prominent display screens inside the cabin. Technology will also be improved to help drivers when towing or hauling cargo.

As for the powertrain, the 2024 Chevy Silverado HD will arrive with its standard 6.6L V8 engine, which delivers 401 horsepower and 464 lb-ft of torque. This V8 engine will pair with a 10-speed automatic transmission instead of a 6-speed. Additionally, the Silverado HD’s Duramax diesel 6.6L V8 will see a power boost, 470 horsepower compared to 445 and 975 lb-ft of torque compared to 910. The diesel engine will also make use of the new 10-speed automatic transmission. According to Chevrolet, the increase in power is thanks to updates made to the truck’s control architecture and combustion system. These updates provide the Silverado HD with better efficiency.

One more addition to the 2024 Silverado HD is an all-new ZR2 trim. This will be the first time the Silverado HD receives the off-road trim. It will be released later in the year and equip the heavy-duty pickup truck with revised bumpers, 35-inch tires, and front and rear locking differentials. The ZR2 trim will also feature a host of off-road features that will help drivers tackle challenging terrain. Those interested in the newly refreshed 2024 Silverado HD can start placing their orders now. Those interested in the all-new ZR2 trim will have to wait until the middle of 2023.
