Are you ready for your own 2019 Chevrolet Silverado? An icon of the automaker, this pickup truck has made a name for itself over the last 100 years. The Chevrolet Silverado even got a special Centennial Edition in 2017, commemorating 100 years of Chevy pickup trucks. 100 years, and the good news still keeps pouring in. For one thing, Chevrolet has introduced a special edition for the 2019 model year that literally give us goosebumps – the 2019 Chevy Silverado Trail Boss Z71 turned into the Chevrolet Hennessey Goliath. Now, with the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado heading to dealerships, consumers can finally build their own.

Building Your 2019 Chevrolet Silverado

Although shipped out, the 2019 Chevy Silverado is currently being delivered in low quantity (as of November 8, 2018). Dealership lots will receive more as orders are placed, but for now, enjoy the thought of building one. Known as the “all-new” Silverado, being in its fourth generation for 2019, the configurator (bit.ly/2DtM9y1) has been designed to show off some of the new features and available options, like modern technology or an off-road package.

Although the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado has a starting MSRP of $28,300 (plus destination fee), the first build to pop up in the configurator is for $49,795 (plus destination fee). This will give consumers an idea of the differences something as simple as the cab size, drivetrain, or engine can make, before even a trim is chosen. The default setup is a double cab with a standard bed, four-wheel drive, and the 5.3-liter EvoTec V8 engine with Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM). Changing either of these will show the consumer the new net price in the top right in real-time.

Chevrolet is joining in on the crossover utility vehicle (CUV) fun with the revamped 2019 Chevy Blazer. Traditionally designed as an off-road vehicle starting back in the 1960s, subsequently downsized in the 1990s as the S-10 model and effectively discontinued in 2005, it’s no small feat that the Blazer was overdue for a comeback. Diehards will decry its reincarnation as a crossover vehicle, departing from its off-roading roots, however, the new Chevy Blazer is a car made for this era. Inspired by the design lines of the also newly refreshed Camaro, the Blazer is a crossover that wants to hit the ground running against other vehicles of its class – exploiting its precise balance of power and modern looks.

Ditching its old body-on-frame construction platform, the new Blazer opts for a unibody construction platform – more suitable for its reincarnation as a road-friendly crossover. Slated to bridge the gap between Chevy’s current lineup of Equinox and Traverse vehicles, the 2019 Blazer will give the public an exciting option between performance and stylish looks.

The Blazer will be powered by a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine clocking in with 193 horsepower, or in the case of the RS version, it will be powered by an optional 3.6-liter V6 engine able to generate 305 horsepower. Both engines will feature a standard nine-speed automatic transmission; front-wheel drive is offered as the standard drivetrain unless you’re interested in the ultra modern twin-clutch all-wheel-drive system, that is also available.

Each 2019 Chevy Silverado will have bigger and better truck beds. These beds are made of steel to make sure that each bed can hold as much weight as possible and be as durable. In fact, this new bed can hold one and a half times the amount of strength of its predecessor, making it that much more awesome. The bed is also strategically designed as two pieces.

The reason for this is because of the conservation of space – Having the bed made of two pieces saves weight and makes for a 23 percent increase of space for the bed. With that being said, there is an added amount of almost seven inches of floor width space. For convenience, there is a button on every key fob of the vehicle to open and close the tailgate, and another great and easy option is to press a button to do the same for opening the tailgate of the bed from within the cabin of the vehicle.

Power does for the Initial Quality Study, Strategic Vision surveys drivers with new cars about their experience with their new vehicle. Mid-Size Alternative Powertrain (APT) Car: 2016 Chevy Volt

For the 2016 model year, Chevy introduced an all-new redesigned model of the Chevy Volt. The new model’s exterior, interior and motor had all been upgraded and its new features helped it win several awards.

The Chevy Volt is a plug-in electric hybrid vehicle, so it is powered by a battery, gas or a combination of both.
