Chevrolet to Offer ‘Build Your Own Engine Program’ for 2023 Corvette Z06

2023-corvette-z06

Chevrolet will be bringing back its ‘Build Your Own Engine’ program for the 2023 Corvette Z06. The automaker will allow consumers to have more control of their engine and how it is assembled. Consumers can also make use of the online configuration tool to customize their Corvette how they want. Chevrolet has been steadily making small adjustments and improvements to the all-new 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 to ensure the sports car offers the highest performance yet. With a max speed of 195 mph, consumers will have one of the most powerful Corvettes yet. This program will allow consumers to cooperate with Chevy technicians as they build their Corvette Z06 engine. Chevy has offered the program before, but we’ll take a look at what consumers can expect.

Chevy to Bring Back Corvette Z06 Engine Program

Chevrolet recently announced that it will be bringing back its ‘Build Your Own Engine’ program for the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06. The program will be available in the second quarter of 2023. Consumers will be able to work directly with Chevy technicians as they assemble the engine for their Corvette Z06. This cooperation will ensure that consumers get the most out of their Corvette. Chevy will only offer the program for Corvettes using the LT6 powertrain which means the Z06. About the program, Chevrolet plant director Kai Spande said,

“This is a real challenge for us because this is such a new engine and it’s much more complex than what we’ve ever done in the past,” said Kai Spande. “We’ve done some things that I think will be very much appreciated by those that build their engine,” Spande continued.

Chevrolet has offered the Build Your Own Engine program in the past. Previously, consumers would work directly alongside assembly-line workers as they assembled the engine. This time, however, Chevy will be designating a specific area of the Bowling Green Kentucky factory in which participants will cooperate. This allows consumers to help professionals assemble their engines without having to go down to the assembly line. Chevrolet had initially offered the Build Your Own Engine program for $5,000. Given the new accommodations, however, the price may see an increase. Still, the opportunity to have direct control over your 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 engine is a great chance to ensure you get exactly what you want out of it.

The 2024 Chevy Equinox EV Provides A Satisfying Round Off To GM’s Portfolio

2024 Equinox EV

It’s safe to say that 2022 has been an electrifying year for Chevrolet, General Motors (GM) subsidiary. After parading around a slew of electric vehicles such as the Silverado EV and Blazer EV this year, the rollouts continue with the all-new 2024 Equinox EV; an affordable SUV made to provide an easy and seamless transition to an electric vehicle.

“We are at a turning point where EVs will be the mainstream choice for the next generation of customers, and Equinox EV will lead this charge for us,” said Mary Barra, Chair and CEO of General Motors. “With the flexibility of GM’s Ultium Platform, we are bringing to market vehicles at nearly every price point and for every purpose.”

The base Equinox EV 1LT, with a starting price of about $30,000 (plus destination fee), brings this Chevy model into the compact SUV segment and is expected to be the most inexpensive EV in this category. It should conclude the most important segments of the company’s EV portfolio: full-size trucks, midsize SUVs, and compact SUVs. It will also have an estimated 300 miles of range on a full charge.

Chevrolet is now positioned to offer a wide array of EVs,” said Scott Bell, vice president of Chevrolet. “We know truck and SUV customers better than anyone, and we’ve channeled that insight and experience into our new EVs.”

On top of the Ultium-derived propulsion technologies, interior features consist of a large infotainment screen w/ an available 17.7-inch-diagonal system, a suite of standard and available driver assistance technologies, and available Super Cruise hands-free driver assistance technology for compatible roads.

“The Equinox EV is an EV for everyone,” said Bell. “It’s an affordable game-changer, offering an uncompromising experience, with more features that won’t change your daily routine — except that you will no longer have to stop at the gas station.”

Super Cruise Technology

GM’s hands-free, semi-autonomous Super Cruise driving assistant made its first introduction in the now-retired Cadillac CT6 luxury sedan and has slowly made its way to particular models in the automaker’s portfolio, such as the Cadillac Escalade, Chevy Silverado, Chevy Bolt EUV and GMC Sierra. Many of GM’s next-gen electrics also involve the Super Cruise technology, including the all-new 2024 Equinox.

The Equinox EV will offer the Super Cruise as an option in the 2LT trim and above. This means those opting for the base 1LT will not get access to the Super Cruise system. Overall, 1LT, 2LT, and 3LT trim levels, together with the sport-themed 2RS and 3RS, are among the trims offered for this new SUV.

The Super Cruise technology necessitates an active plan or trial, which begins at $25 per month as a standalone. The subscription for the Super Cruise can also be tacked onto specific OnStar plans for an extra $15 per month. This technology, also called an SAE Level 2 semi-autonomous system, permits hands-free driving on over 200,000 miles of North American and Canadian highways deemed compatible. This technology can also enable auto-lane changes and is harmonious with a trailer on certain GM vehicles.

The exact details and ordering for the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV will be available closer to the beginning of production, which is set to take place at the General Motors Ramos Arizpe plant in Mexico. When the time comes to make your purchase of their latest EV iteration, be sure to do it at Miami Lakes Automall. We sell a wide variety of vehicles from the brand that range in several different shapes and sizes.

Chevrolet Reveals All-New Lineup at the 2022 NAIAS

Chevrolet recently unveiled its upcoming lineup at the 2022 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS). The NAIAS was postponed the previous two years, but thankfully it was able to be held this year in Detroit, Michigan. There, many automakers got the chance to showcase their new vehicles and what’s to come. For Chevrolet, the automaker got to show off several all-new vehicles, including the 2023 Chevy Colorado, 2023 Chevy Blazer, and 2024 Chevy Equinox EV. The automaker highlighted several trims, including the Silverado ZR2 and Chevy Tahoe RST. With so much to see, we’ll dive in and look at all of Chevrolet’s latest vehicles.

2023 Chevy Colorado

One of the first all-new vehicles revealed at the 2022 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) was the 2023 Chevy Colorado. The 2023 Colorado will be the third generation of the mid-size pickup. It will feature a bolder look along with a more robust performance. The 2023 Colorado will come equipped with a turbocharged 2.7L engine. It will also have a wider stance, more modern styling, and a redesigned interior cabin. Consumers can also expect more selectable driver modes and an 11.3-inch touchscreen. A new Trail Boss and ZR2 Desert Boss trim will also be available.

2023 Chevy Silverado/ Chevy 2024 Silverado EV

The 2023 Chevy Silverado was revealed to have an all-new ZR2 trim. The heavy-duty pickup will receive increases in its performance and capability. Chevrolet also hinted at the all-new 2024 Chevy Silverado EV, slated to feature 400 miles of range. The all-electric pickup truck will be offered with a WT and RST trim. The WT trim will come equipped with a dual motor setup capable of 510 horsepower and 625lb-ft of torque. The RST trim will come equipped with a stronger dual motor setup that grants it 664 horsepower and 780lb-ft of torque.

2023 Chevrolet Tahoe RST

The next big reveal was a new RST trim for the 2023 Chevy Tahoe. This performance edition trim will equip the full-size SUV with a 6.2L V8 engine. The V8 engine will produce 433 horsepower and 467lb-ft torque, more than enough to provide high performance and capability. With this engine, the Tahoe will be able to hit a 0-60 mph time of 6 seconds. The new RST trim will also lower the ride height of the 2023 Chevy Tahoe and add a unique torch-red style.

2024 Chevy Blazer EV & 2024 Chevy Equinox EV

One of the most significant reveals was Chevrolet’s EV lineup. The aforementioned Silverado EV, the all-new Blazer EV, and the Equinox EV were included. These electric vehicles will utilize General Motors’ Ultium platform, which helps enable the highest level of performance and design. The 2024 Chevy Blazer and Chevy Equinox are two electric EVs with much to offer.

The Blazer will offer consumers 320 miles of range and come with a 0-60 mph time of 4 seconds. The electric SUV will also offer the option between forward-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and rear-wheel drive. As for the Chevy Equinox EV, it will start at an MSRP of $30,000 (plus destination fee) and will offer 300 miles of range. Both EVs will feature Chevy Safety Assist and Chevy Super Cruise. They will also come standard with a free EV charger installation.

5 The Reasons Why The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Is A Sports Car Enthusiast’s Dream

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is arguably the most exhilarating sports car since its first inception. Lovers of this muscle car and car enthusiasts in the same vein will have several reasons to brag about the latest Vette model. Here are 5 The Reasons Why The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Is A Sports Car Enthusiast’s Dream.

Sensational and Powerful Styling

With every iteration, the Vette car has evolved its style, with the Chevy C8 proving to be no exception. Typically, supercar fans only care about the design and performance of the vehicle, and there’s certainly no dismissing the aesthetically pleasing and awestruck the Z06 truly is.

The performance of the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 is just as memorizing. The most aerodynamic model to come off of the Chevrolet production line. Its exceptionally arresting alloy wheels, rear lights, and particularly the rear spoiler are by far spotlight features of the outer body. Simultaneously, the vehicle’s angular curves make it an event in and of itself.

The Sharpest Handling

The newly standard Corvette is an extraordinary mechanical being, but the Z06 cranks it up several notches with awe-inspiring styling and handling that will exceed your expectations. This incredible machine has a track-centered suspension configuration and a chassis that finally measures up to its monstrous sibling.

With the help of its Z07 package, the mid-engine C8 Z06 flaunts nearly 30 percent higher ride frequencies. Likely one of the best features in this highly supported Corvette model is the participation of a helper spring in the latest C8 Z06, which enables the coil spring to go for a full rebound while doing away with any wheel travel leading up to it.

The Energetic Naturally-Aspirated V8 Engine

Seeing how gas-powered staples are slowly making their way towards retirement and any new performance-centered vehicle arriving at dealerships involves some sort of electrification or turbocharged engines, General Motors made the decision to make its Z06 car the flag carrier of unrestricted V8 power by decking it out with the most ferocious naturally-aspirated V8 ever produced.

The C8 Z06 Unparalleled Acceleration

The almighty Chevy Corvette Z06 brings out the most powerful output of 670 horsepower with 460 lb-ft of torque. The naturally-aspirated 5.5-liter V8 powertrain harmonizes with sophisticated tech to produce exceptional power, all of which pushes the Corvette from 0 to 60 mph in only 2.6 seconds.

This fantastic acceleration time puts this iconic vehicle into the circle of today’s best supercars, such as the Ferrari F8 Tributo, the Huracan Evo, and the Audi R8. In fact, the Z06 actually topples these vehicles in the 0-60 department, as their figures amount to  2.9s, 2.9s, and 3.1s respectively.

More Affordable And Reliable Than Most Supercars

The Chevy Corvette has also been seen as an inexpensive American super god, and that’s one of the best USPs (unique selling proposition) the vehicle has always had over its rein.

For a sports car, at $106,395, (plus destination fee), the Corvette is considered to be one of the most affordable vehicles in its segment, and this is also considering how well it outranks European rivals in its performance.

2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 Will Have Top Speed of 195 Mph

The top speed for the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 has been revealed. According to Chevrolet’s chief engineer Josh Holder, the sports car will have a top speed of 195 mph. While this is not over 200 mph like a previous rumor indicated, this is still an impressive speed. The 2023 Corvette Z06 has been teased for some time now, but order banks have opened up. The high-performance luxury sports car is expected to arrive with a more powerful engine as well as a new look. Those interested in the 2023 Corvette Z06 can browse an online option list to create their perfect sports car. We’ll take a look at the new 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 Top Speed Confirmed

The 2023 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 has had its top speed confirmed. According to Chevrolet’s chief engineer Josh Holder, the luxury sports car will have a top speed of 195 mph. This is thanks to the sports car’s new engine which is a 5.5L V8 engine. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the 2023 Corvette Z06 offers 670 horsepower and 460lb-ft of torque. Chevrolet has upgraded this engine to provide high performance. It boasts a flat-plane crank design with a 5.56 drive ratio for increased acceleration. The 5.5L also allows drivers to hit a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds.

The 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06 will come available with a Z07 performance package. This package will increase the aerodynamics of the sports car by equipping it with spring and anti-roll bar rates. The Z07 package will also add a huge rear wing spoiler. This will add about 734 pounds of downforce thus increasing the Corvette’s overall performance.

Inside the 2023 Corvette Z06, owners can expect a fighter jet-inspired cockpit that gives drivers a heightened feeling of control. With customizable seats and a raced-designed steering wheel, owners will have full access to an array of driver assist features. This includes a performance data recorder, or PDR, that allows drivers to capture their acceleration speed, braking, and gear choices. For entertainment, the high-performance sports car offers a 12-inch touchscreen system with Chevrolet 3 Infotainment. The system is also compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Order banks have already opened for the 2023 Chevy Corvette Z06. The sports car will start at an MSRP of $105,000 (plus destination fee).

What Plans Does Chevrolet Have for the 2023 Chevy Montana?

The 2023 Chevy Montana is almost finished. The unibody compact pickup will soon make its debut though as of now, Chevrolet only has plans to sell it in Brazil. Chevrolet has not commented on whether the 2023 Montana will make its way to the states, but given the recent popularity of compact pickups, the automaker may make the decision to offer it. As of late, Chevrolet has been focused on its EVs like the Chevy Silverado EV and Chevy Colorado EV. Despite the focus on electric vehicles, this has not stopped Chevy from updating its combustion engine lineup. Vehicles like the 2023 Chevy Montana continue to be improved so we’ll take a look at the compact pickup truck and see what consumers can expect.

Will The 2023 Chevy Montana Make It To The U.S?

The 2023 Chevy Montana has almost finished production. The compact pickup truck is slated to be released in Brazil. Currently, there are no plans for Chevrolet to sell the 2023 Montana in the United States, but this could change. Given the popularity of compact pickup trucks like the Ford Maverick, Chevrolet may spend the resources to offer the Chevy Montana in the states. This would require building a new factory in the U.S however due to the Chicken Tax law. This law limits the importation of pickups and cargo vans into the US so it may pose a big hurdle for Chevy.

The 2023 Chevy Montana was recently teased by GM Brazil. The subsidiary showed off the Montana’s interior which features an analog instrument panel and an infotainment display with an 8-inch touchscreen. As for the engine, the compact pickup comes with 8 choices. This includes turbocharged options. The 2023 Montana’s base engine is a turbocharged three-cylinder that’s capable of 130 horsepower. The pickup will also come paired with an automatic transmission.

If the states do see the 2023 Chevy Montana, it’s likely that Chevrolet will make some adjustments and upgrades to the pickup. This includes increased performance as well as the option for a manual transmission. Since Chevrolet has not made any comment about the Montana coming to the U.S, this remains a far-off hope. Still, unlikelier things have happened so there may be some luck that U.S consumers see the 2023 Chevy Montana in the future.

The 2023 Chevrolet Montana Is Coming To America…We Hope?

2023 Chevy Montana

The 2023 Chevrolet Montana will debut as the first unibody compact pickup truck very soon. Currently, the all-new Montana truck will be sold in Brazil and share platform space, along with a powertrain with the Tracker compact SUV. For the time being, not the Tracker nor the Montana have been announced for the North American market.

That said, given the popularity of small pickups in the last few years, we imagine that there is still a good chance that General Motors (GM) will bring the Montana to the States, as Ford brought the Ranger back for the 2019 model year after it has already been sold globally for several years. By the time it reached the U.S., Ford had outfitted the Ranger truck with safety features for the North American market, but it was still comparable in design and performance to the Ranger sold worldwide.

The 2022 model year also introduced two new compact trucks: the Ford Maverick and the Hyundai Santa Cruz. These small trucks ride on the same platforms as compact SUVs. Regarding the Maverick, it journeys on the Ford Bronco Sport, while the Santa Cruz travels with the Hyundai Tucson. Since their debut, both the Maverick and Santa Cruz have seen strong sales, so it’s not far-fetched to think that GM would like to take advantage of this market demand by releasing the Montana truck in North America.

Various teaser videos have been revealed flaunting the Montana’s interior video for GM’s Brazil subsidiary. These designs appear to have a bit more of a utilitarian design paralleled with the Tracker. The cabin lodges two of the 10.25-inch digital screens in the Tracker. These stretch across the dashboard with a fully-digital instrument and an infotainment system. Meanwhile, the Montana’s setup is more minimalistic, with the pickup involving an analog instrument panel and an infotainment display close to 8 inches.

The Montana truck will have eight powertrains, including various turbocharged options. The base engine is a turbocharged 3-cylinder that musters up 130 horsepower. With such as small output, it’s not too plausible that this engine would make it to the States, but many U.S. truck enthusiasts will likely want the option to have a manual transmission.

So far, there isn’t much known about the Chevy Montana, but we can guess that it won’t be sold in North America before GM sells the Montana on our shores. It will need to establish a factory here to manufacture the pick up, as this will avoid the Chicken Tax of the 1960s (the limitation of importation of pickups and cargo vans into the U.S.).

GM still has not mentioned the 2023 Montana arriving in the States; however, it’s still possible that the company will eventually. On the flip side, with the combination of the capital investments to construct a new factory or modify one to meet North American standards, it may be at least several years before we see it come to fruition.

Chevrolet Scores Above Average In J.D Power 2022 Index Study

In a recent J.D Power Index Study, Chevrolet managed to rank above average compared to its competitors. Operating as an American consumer research company, J.D Power conducts annual surveys to gauge customer satisfaction and buyer behavior. This recent 2022 study focused on vehicle technology and whether customers were satisfied with their brand’s technologies. As of late, Chevrolet has been focused on updating its combustion engine lineup and expanding its all-electric lineup. With new EVs like the 2024 Chevy Silverado EV and the 2026 Chevy Colorado EV, Chevy is hoping to offer consumers the latest in technology and driver-assist features. We’ll take a look at the new J.D Power technology index study and see how well Chevy fared overall.

Chevy Ranks Above Average in J.D Power Technology Index Study

Chevrolet recently scored above average in the 2022 J.D Power Index Study. As a leading research company, J.D Power specializes in consumer research and data analytics. The organization recently conducted one of its annual surveys to gauge consumer satisfaction surrounding vehicle technologies. Many automakers including Chevrolet have been improving their vehicles with advanced technologies and driver-assist features. The point of the recent survey was to better understand how automakers implement new technologies into their vehicles as well as how reliable they remain over time. Chevrolet managed to earn a score of 471 which was better than the average brand score of 469.

J.D Power surveyed close to 84,000 owners for its study. The criteria for participants were those who owned a 2022 model year vehicle for at least 90 days. The organization asked these owners questions about any problems they encountered with any advanced technologies. J.D Power then took this data and assigned scores for each automotive brand. Using ‘PP100’ scores, which stands for problems per owner for every 100 vehicles, J.D power awarded each brand an innovation ranking based on a 1,000-point scale.

Overall, Chevrolet’s above-average score of 471 was due to the automaker’s advanced technologies and driver-assist features. Included in most Chevy vehicles is the Chevy Safety Assist suite which offers owners a host of safety features. These include forward collision alerts, HD surround vision, and adaptive cruise control to name a few. That owners were thoroughly impressed with the technologies available speaks to the brand and its future growth. As Chevy works to offer consumers more EVs, these vehicles will come equipped with advanced technologies and features that make drivers’ lives easier.
