iSeeCars Study Finds 2022 Chevy Tahoe Likely to Reach 200,000 Miles

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe was recently categorized as one of the top vehicles to reach at least 200,000 miles in its lifetime. This analysis comes from the automotive research site iSeeCars. The online site focuses on data analysis to determine the various qualities of different vehicles. In order to discover whether the Chevy Tahoe could go beyond 200,000 miles, iSeeCars analyzed sales and registration data as well as the percentages of vehicles that surpassed the mile threshold. Several other Chevy models made the top list as well. This is good news for General Motors (GM) which has been in the spotlight recently for its all-electric 2023 Chevy Silverado. Like many automakers, GM has been focusing on electrifying its lineup. Despite the focus on EVs, we’re glad to see GM still prioritizing its gasoline models.

Chevy Tahoe Can Reach 200,000 Miles

According to a recent top 15 list by iSeeCars, the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is more than capable of reaching 200,000 miles within its lifetime. This analysis comes from the automotive research site iSeeCars which utilized sale and registration data to determine the capability of the Chevy Tahoe. The online site also utilized the percentage of units from specific models that had surpassed this mile threshold. About the Tahoe, iSeeCars analyst Karl Brauer said,

“All manufactured by General Motors, the Chevrolet Suburban, GMC Yukon, GMC Yukon XL, and Chevrolet Tahoe share a platform and many common parts, confirming why these popular family vehicles are all likely to last 200,000 miles,” Brauer said.

According to iSeeCars’ top 15 list, the 2022 Chevy Tahoe placed seventh. This means that of all the Chevy Tahoes currently registered in the US, 4.4 percent of them have 200,000 or more miles. As a family-size SUV, this reliability is a great asset for the Tahoe. Other GM vehicles also made the list. These included the Chevy Suburban in 3rd place with 6.6 percent and the GMC Yukon XL in 4th with 5.2 percent.

The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe starts at an MSRP of $50,200 (plus destination fee). The full-size family SUV was revamped for the 2022 model year, so it features improved handling, a more spacious interior, and GM’s advanced safety features.

The Chevy Trax And Buick Are Saying Good-Bye In 2022

Chevy Trax And Buick Are Being Discontinued

Those who closely follow General Motors (GM), shouldn’t be too shocked that its subsidiaries, Chevrolet and Buick are getting rid of their Trax and Encore SUVs. These crossover models are set to discontinue by the end of the current 2022 model year, as stated in a report from GM Authority. Taking their place will be the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX, which are already on sale.

The Trax and Encore SUVs became accessible in 2015 and 2013 to go on sale for those particular model years, successively. Since then, GM has provided minute changes to keep them looking fresh and interesting. About a couple of years ago, there was already talk that these models would get the boot from their respective lineups when the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX came onto the scene, but GM decided against it, the reason being that sales were still going strong.

For all that, the Chevy Trailblazer and Buick Encore GX are more upmarket by far, which means that they could soon become more pricey as soon as optional packages come into play. Despite this, sales have experienced a steep decline since these successors arrived. Simply put, there is no reason to keep the Trax and Encore anymore. The compacts are manufactured in South Korea and production will officially retire in August.

While GM always had the intention to discontinue these models, they had to be strategic with the actual timing. This signal came when the sales of the Trailblazer and Encore GX become stronger than they’ve ever been. In 2021, sales for the Trax went down by 60 percent while Encore deliveries experienced a dip by 52 percent. A few years back, GM had to choose between heavily updating the crossovers or getting rid of them entirely.

There are some that agree that the latter decision made the most sense, particularly because the Trailblazer and Encore GX both possess longer wheelbases, allowing for greater rear-seat space and cargo capacity overall. This is also despite only being a few inches longer. Their cabins also have a more deluxe ambiance owing to their improved styling and higher quality for their build materials.

Funny enough, a spokesperson for GM hasn’t even officially confirmed the discontinuation of the models just yet. However, the car blog, Car Buzz has reached out to the two subsidiaries and is currently waiting on a response. What we know to be certain is that Chevrolet will proceed with selling five crossovers, while Buick will have four.

2022 Chevrolet Blazer vs 2022 Chevrolet Traverse, Which is Best for You?

The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer is a mid-size SUV that offers consumers versatility and ample cabin space. With a sporty look, the 2022 Blazer offers those wanting good handling and performance an affordable vehicle that still retains elements of an SUV. In direct comparison to the 2022 Blazer is the 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The 2022 Traverse is also a mid-size SUV, but it makes up where the Blazer lacks. The Traverse offers more space for passengers and cargo. It also features more advanced safety features. Both SUVs have a similar price point, so we’ll explore the pros and cons of both to determine which is best suited for certain needs.

2022 Chevy Blazer

The 2022 Chevrolet Blazer arrives with a sporty, muscular look that is backed by its choice of engine, either a turbocharged four-cylinder 2.0L or a 3.6L V6. For those wanting more in terms of performance, the Blazer can meet those needs with its powerful 308 horsepower V6 engine. The mid-size SUV is also paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission that can be utilized with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2022 Blazer has great handling on the road, but it does taper off when off-road so this SUV is best for cities.

Inside the 2022 Blazer, consumers will note a straightforward interior with an 8-inch touchscreen. In terms of space, the Blazer does pale in comparison to the 2022 Traverse. The Blazer gets 64.2 cubic feet of cargo space when all the seats are folded, but despite this, it can be a bit tight in the back for adults. For safety, the 2022 Chevy Blazer gets automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warnings, and forward-collision alerts.

2022 Chevy Traverse

The 2022 Chevrolet Traverse sits at a similar price point as the 2022 Blazer, but it offers more in terms of SUV capability. While still considered mid-size, the Traverse has enough room for 7 or 8 passengers. It also has 100 cubic feet of storage space. The Traverse offers second-row captain chairs or a second-row bench. The captain chairs reduce passenger space but they offer more comfort. The mid-size SUV also features a modern infotainment system compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

In terms of performance, the 2022 Traverse comes equipped with a 3.6L V6  capable of 300 horsepower. The mid-size SUV features front-wheel drive, but owners can opt for all-wheel drive for a fee. Equipped with a towing package, the Traverse can also pull up to 5,000 pounds.

Verdict

Both the 2022 Chevy Blazer and Chevy Traverse offer versatility and comfortability. As mid-size SUVs, they offer a great price point for those needing something with more room for passengers and cargo. Where these SUVs diverge, however, is with their performance and function.

At an MSRP of $33,400 (plus destination fee), the 2022 Chevy Blazer offers a more engaging driving experience with its choice of engines. It also has good handling and proves effective in the city. At an MSRP of $33,700 (plus destination fee), the 2022 Chevy Traverse offers more in terms of passenger and cargo space. It also has more safety features and when equipped with a towing package, it proves useful for towing. For those prioritizing a larger family, the Traverse is the optimal choice.

The 2023 Chevy Blazer Gets An Upgrade With Its Powertrain and Performance

2023 Chevy Blazer

Towards the beginning of this year, Chevrolet revealed that they would release their mid-size Blazer in 2023, in an electrified form. However, before this SUV dumps the gasoline pump, the automaker is still giving its standard Blazer a revamp for next year, involving the enhancement of its styling on the outer body and augmenting the interior with a larger touchscreen.

While the visual details for the upcoming Blazer are nearly inconspicuous, the interior shakes things up with its high-mounted LED running lights, which are sleeker and bleed into a new grille design. This grille design is now mated to the central headlight unit through a C-formed trim piece.

Going to the back, you’ll see that the taillights receive new LED light signatures. There are also new available wheel designs: 18-, 20-, and 21-inch. Along with these new kicks are a slew of paint colors, which encompass Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat.

Inhouse, all upcoming Blazers will receive a 10.0-inch infotainment screen, which is an upgrade of 2 inches. It’s also getting wireless charging capability. The RS model will also get a Nightshift Blue interior. The mid-sizer will continue to have its offering of a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four, with an output of 228 horsepower, or a 3.6-liter V-6 producing 308 hp. Both powertrains will still be mated to a 9-speed automatic transmission, with front-wheel-drive (FWD) or all-wheel-drive (AWD) offerings.

SS Performance Variant

Recently, the division of General Motors announced that on top of its electrified version for the Blazer, it will be releasing a performance-centered SS trim. A teaser video that was released last week, (March 9), showed the SUV following a bundle of other announcements regarding electrics, encompassing the GMC Hummer EV and Chevy Silverado EV pickup trucks, which all use the brand’s Ultium battery technology.

A short time ago, Chevrolet showed us the first images of its Equinox EV, an electric SUV joining the company’s other compact crossover in their electrified form. Strutting a unique design, the newest Equinox will go on sale by the fall of next year. It was also at this time that the automaker mentioned its EV version of the Blazer, bringing along with it a performance SS model.

It’s worth noting that the teaser video doesn’t reveal too much. It opens up showing a charger being disconnected from a port behind the front left wheel. The second shot shows the charging port while also revealing black plastic cladding around the wheel well and what seems to be a sharply sloped hood. One can also get a quick glimpse of the Ss badge at the button of one of the wheel’s six spokes.

Chevrolet says that the Blazer will be its first EV to receive a performance SS badge when it’s introduced later this year. While the company didn’t explicitly mention this, it’s presumed that that EV version will be offered in a way that’s centered on comfort. The Blazer SS is set to go on sale in the Spring of next year, and it’s also expected that it will include the Ultium batteries.

The exact pricing will be revealed as we get closer to the on-sale date, but it likely won’t change too much from the current Blazer’s price ranging from $34,595, (plus destination fee) to $45,195, (plus destination fee).

Over the years, Chevrolet has provided the Corvette with the best of the best in terms of style and performance. The luxury sports car features a stylish interior and comes equipped with the latest in technology and driver-assist features like Magnetic Selective Ride Control. 2022 Chevy Corvette Has Best Resale Value, Says KBB

The 2022 Chevy Corvette was recently the recipient of Kelley Blue Book’s Best Resale Value Award. This award is determined by KBB’s statistical models which estimate how much of the original value a vehicle will retain over five years. According to KBB, much of a vehicle’s resale value is based on supply and demand. Some vehicles like the 2022 Corvette, however, retain a high percentage of their original value as they are often not discounted from their original MSRP.

Vehicles included in KBB’s Best Resale Value list are projected to retain about 56 percent of their original value in comparison to the average 43 percent for 2022 model year vehicles. The 2022 Chevrolet Corvette currently starts at an MSRP of $62,195 (plus destination fee) so, based on KBB’s model, the luxury sports car is well worth its price, especially given its capability and features.

For the 2022 model year, the Chevy Corvette comes equipped with a naturally aspirated 6.2L V8 engine that’s capable of 495 horsepower and 470lb-ft of torque. Owners making use of the dual-clutch automatic transmission combined with the Corvette’s new Magnetic Selective Ride Control feature will find that they can maintain control even at the highest of speeds. KBB Says That The 2022 Chevy Equinox Is Comfortable and Under $30,000

2022 Chevy Equinox

The 2022 Chevrolet Equinox SUV is getting high praise from the automotive editors at Kelley’s Blue Book (KBB). The Irvine, California-based vehicle valuation and automotive research company, recently put in the latest Equinox on its list of Most Comfortable Vehicles Available To Buy For Under $30,000.

The company that’s owned by the Cox Automotive subsidiary of Cox Enterprises published its list of most comfortable vehicles and deconstructed particular vehicles that they deem are the most spacious, tranquil, and ride the smoothest on the current market. The latest Equinox SUV ranked on this list, right ahead of the highly praised 2022 Honda Accord and incredible roomy 2022 Suburu Outback.

Editors at KBB gave high remarks over the design of the seats in the 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, combined with its extensive cabin space and its excellent range of available in-car conveniences. Some of these comforts include standard keyless entry, push-button start, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, four USB ports, the Teen Driver system, General Motors’ OnStar telematics system and subscription-based 4G LTE connectivity with Wi-Fi.

More safety-oriented features consist of forward-collision warning with automatic emergency braking, lane-departure warning, and lane-keeping assist.

Higher trims offer things like a power driver’s seat, surround-view camera, leather interior, and a power liftgate. The Premier trim gets a new automatic parking assist, while the RS model receives darkened exterior aesthetics and unique interior accents.

“A compact crossover with a comfortable interior, the Chevrolet Equinox offers a good range of standard and available features,” KBB says of the hot-selling Chevy. “Seating is plush and supportive with standard cloth surfaces that become leather on higher trims. Adding visual appeal is the RS trim with red contrast stitching. There’s ample room for five adults with good headroom and legroom for rear passengers. Available options include a power driver’s seat, heated seats, and a premium audio system.”

It wasn’t much of a surprise that the vast majority of these models happened to be crossovers, as vehicles in this segment are known for having a softer suspension and longer travel capability than regular passenger models. These types of vehicles are more equipped to handle potholes and grooves in the road, which is ideal for daily driving or long road trips.

These vehicles are also quite roomy and often consist of a great selection of standard active safety features. Having said that, there were some sedans that crawled their way into the bottom of the list, including the previously mentioned 2022 Honda Accord, as well as the 2022 Toyota Camry, 2022 Hyundai Sonata, and the 2022 Nissan Altima.

The high-ranking vehicle on KBB’s list was the 2022 Honda CR-V. Following this were the 2022 Toyota RAV4 and 2022 Subaru Forester.
