Chevrolet Reboots Sopranos Intro For Special Super Bowl Ad

One of the best parts of the Super Bowl (aside from the game and the halftime show) is the commercials. Every year, U.S companies rack their brains to present the best advertisement with the hopes of getting the most views and attention. From comedic takes to adorable presentations, companies vie to have the most memorable commercial. This year at Super Bowl LVI, Chevrolet went all out for their all-electric Chevrolet Silverado EV. With the hopes of playing toward some nostalgia, the automaker rebooted and updated the HBO show “The Sopranos.” The sixty-second ad featured character’s from the series including the main character Tony Soprano’s daughter, Meadow. We’ll dissect the ad further and see how Chevy landed on this, but it’s safe to say they definitely made an impression.

Chevy Shows Off Silverado EV During Super Bowl Ad

For Super Bowl LVI, Chevrolet decided to play on some heartstrings and drum up some nostalgia. For their commercial, the automaker rebooted and updated the introduction for the HBO show, “The Sopranos.” The sixty-second ad was called ‘New Generation’ and it featured mob boss Tony Soprano’s daughter and her brother (played by Jamie Lynn Siegler and Robert Iler respectively) along with the all-new Silverado EV. About the ad, vice president of Chevrolet marketing Steve Majoros said,

“It’s a different way of showcasing ‘The Sopranos’ and showcasing Chevrolet, and it felt like the nice thing to do. When you have a truck this important to our business, there’s really no other logical platform to do this,” said Majoros.

Chevrolet’s commercial aired during the first quarter of the Super Bowl game. It included many of the same shots as the original show’s introduction, but it replaced Tony Soprano with his daughter Meadow. Meadow is seen driving a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV. The original theme song “Woke Up This Morning” can be heard throughout the ad. Meadow’s brother A.J does a voiceover and says, “The first-ever, all-electric Chevy Silverado. A whole new truck for a whole new generation.”

Chevy’s Super Bowl ad was directed by the creator and director of “The Sopranos,” David Chase. The director of photography for the show Phil Abraham also helped. The ad played on the Silverado EV’s capabilities by starting out with a surprise blackout just before the game started. The ad then went on to state that with the pickup’s built-in 4G LTE, fans could still watch the game in the face of an actual power outage. This marked the first time Chevrolet aired an ad during the Super Bowl since 2015. With the new wave of EVs, it’s no wonder Chevy felt the time had come to showcase their most important truck.

The 2024 Chevy Silverado EV: Up Close and Personal

2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV

Last week, the YouTube channel, Redline Reviews went to this year’s 2022 Chicago Auto Show, specifically to cover the upcoming 2024 Chevrolet Silverado EV pickup. The reviewers appeared to be quite swayed by the truck, however, potential buyers will have to wait about a year before General Motors (GM) release it to dealerships.

GM revealed its revamped Silverado model as one of several future vehicles that will be a part of its electrified plans, with the hopes of dominating Tesla as the main electric car producer in the U.S. GM also aims to start deliveries of its latest EV truck in the spring of 2023, even though it’s only meant for the work truck. Additional trims will not be accessible until some time in 2023.

Loyalists of the brand should know that this isn’t GM’s first rodeo when it comes to electric trucks, as the car company started releasing its colossal GMC Hummer EV in December of last year. Apart from this, the Rivian R1T is the only electric pickup that is accessible in the North American market. Next up will be Ford’s F-150 Lightning pickup, with the automaker pushing to begin its deliveries in spring of this year.

The Silverado EV will be among a long list of electric vehicles, made for utility, that is part of GM’s new Ultimum architecture. As a matter of fact, the Silverado has the same underpinnings as the GMC Hummer EV, though it’s highly plausible that there will be a GMC Sierra at some point in the future.

In order to have some skin in the game and face off with F-150 Lightning and Tesla Cybertruck, it’s imperative that GM ensures that their latest Silverado is a pickup that provides the utmost range while maintaining its capability. In the same way, Redline Reviews discussed, the 2024 Silverado is astounding overall in its specs, particularly with its fully electric range of more than 400 miles and 664 horsepower.

The Silverado EV seems to follow in the footsteps of the F-150 Lighting in that it appears as a conventional pickup, but with a futuristic twist. Redline Reviewers say that it’s almost like a Chevy Bolt EV wedded to a truck. It’s quite conspicuous its similar design style than that of the brand’s Avalanche.

Unsurprisingly, this Chevy model will be generous in the room that it provides, highly accommodating, and possess great usefulness. The prototype shown in Redline’s video is derived from the high-bred RST trim, indicating that lesser trims may not be as flamboyant, but they’ll at least prove to be more cost effective.

The Silverado EV work truck (WT) will have a starting price nearing $40,000 (plus destination fee). This price is similar to that of the F-150 Lighting and Cybertruck. At the same time, an RST First Edition Silverado that is fully loaded will go around 100,000 (plus destination fee). Of course, after the initial production and release of the WT, the company will provide a full lineup of Silverado’s with starting prices raining from $50,000 to over $80,000 (plus destination fee).

2023 Chevy Blazer to Feature New Styling

Chevrolet will be updating the 2023 Chevy Blazer for the new model year. The midsize crossover SUV will receive new exterior styling as well as an interior makeover. Chevrolet, like many other automakers, has been focusing on electric vehicles. The automaker recently announced its first EV, the Chevrolet Silverado EV. Although not much is known about the electric pickup, it’s a good sign of Chevy’s progress in adopting the new EV trend. This doesn’t mean that Chevy will ignore the rest of its lineup, however. As we see with the 2023 Blazer, Chevrolet will continue to provide consumers with the latest updates and technology features. Last year, the 2022 Blazer was given a Recommended rating by the non-profit organization Consumer Reports. For the 2023 Blazer, we expect the same amount of attention to detail so we’ll dive in and see what consumers can expect.

2023 Chevy Blazer Receives New Styling

The 2023 Chevrolet Blazer will be receiving a new exterior and interior update. The midsize crossover SUV has done well since its reintroduction in 2019. As a fifth-generation vehicle, the 2023 Blazer offers the latest in technology and safety features. Chevrolet has said that it will be electrifying the midsize crossover later in 2023, but for now, the automaker will be improving it with a facelift. There will also be improvements to the interior cabin.

Looking at the new 2023 Chevy Blazer, consumers will first note the new LED running lights. These have been slimmed down and now flow into a new grille design that is linked to the main headlight unit. In the back, the taillights also see new LED light signatures. New 18-inch, 20-inch, and 21-inch wheel designs will be available with a new series of paint colors including Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiat Red Tintcoat.

Inside the 2023 Blazer, owners will note a new 10-inch center screen. This will come with wireless charging capabilities. There’s also a new material available for the RS trim, the Nightshift Blue. This imbues the interior cabin with a soft dark blue hue. As for the engine, the 2023 Blazer offers either a turbocharged 2.0L inline-four engine or a 3.6L V6 engine. Both engines pair with a nine-speed automatic transmission and the crossover SUV can come with either front-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2023 Chevy Blazer will be available in the summer of 2022. Pricing has not yet been released, but it’s likely that the crossover SUV will fall between the current Blazer’s price of $34,595 and $45,195 (plus destination fee).

The 2022 Chevy Tahoe’s Greatest Hits

The 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe is a force to be reckoned with. This full-size SUV can easily haul families and all of their cargo supplies without fear of being cramped. It blends in well with the other aristocrats at high-end restaurants.

New features include a standard 12-inch digital driver information display, Buckle to Drive technology, Reverse Automatic Braking and Enhanced Trailer View available on the two upper trims, optional Sports Performance Package on the RST, and the Off-Road Performance package offered on the Z71.

Interior

As one may be able to guess from the exterior, the Tahoe’s cabin is indeed spacious, with plenty of room within its three rows and unbeatable comfort. There is plenty of room offered on the second-row seats, especially with its ability to slide and recline during long road trips. There are even optional dual 12.6-inch infotainment screens.

The independent rear suspension is a major plus for this SUV, as this is useful in expanding cargo space. Luggage space amounts to 25.5 cubic feet, only to expand to 72.6 cubic feet when seats from the third row. Second-row seats can also make a split, increasing the cargo room to an incredible 122.9 cubic feet of space. Clearly, this model is no one-trick pony.

Standard Features

The base-level LS trim invites standard features like 8-inch alloy wheels, LED exterior lighting, rain-sensing wipers, heated side mirrors, side steps, keyless entry/ignition, remote start, 3-zone automatic climate control, cloth upholstery, two 120-volt outlets, programmable Teen Driver key, and power-adjustable front seats.

Safety features are plentiful with standard forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assistance/lane-departure warning, rear seat reminder, front/rear parking sensors, automatic high beams, and even the new Buckle to Drive.

Passengers can enjoy comforts like wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto smartphone integration, Wi-Fi, six USB ports, satellite radio, and Bluetooth.

While all of these features are great, it’s still recommended to at least upgrade to the LT, as this will welcome the new-for-2022 12-inch digital driver information display, memory settings for the driver’s seat, heated front seats, self-dimming rearview mirror, universal garage door opener, hands-free liftgate operation, and wireless charging. This trim also has the Bose 9-speaker audio system and navigation.

V8 Engine and Performance

The 2022 Tahoe offers three powertrains: 5.3-liter V8 (standard), 6.2-liter V8, and the 3.0-liter turbocharged diesel. High Country’s 6.2-liter has the best capability regarding speed and strength, delivering an output of 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. It’s also optional on the RST, Z71, and Premier models.

The 10-speed automatic transmission takes advantage of this power by making quick yet inconspicuous shifts. These components manage to provide a stunning performance without feeling too busy.

Another impressive feature is the SUV’s towing capability. Again with the 6.2-L, the four-wheel-drive (4WD) model can haul up to 8,100 lbs, and when rightfully geared, it can max out at 8,400 lbs.

Miami Lakes Chevy

When it comes to the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe, the world is truly your oyster. There are also plenty of factory options that can be had such as the Driver Alert Package (LT, RST, and Z71), new Off-Road Performance package (Z71), and new Reverse Automaking Braking (Premier and High Country).

There is even a Luxury package with a 360-degree camera system and rear pedestrian alert, plus self-dimming side mirrors, power-adjustable steering column, heated steering wheel, and heated outboard second-row seats (three higher trims).

You can enjoy all of these features by making your purchase of the latest Tahoe SUV at Miami Lakes Automall. We sell a wide range of vehicles from the brand ranging in various shapes and sizes. Those who are interested in this vehicle can simply view our online new car inventory for assistance.

Chevrolet to Offer Affordable Electric Mystery Car

Chevrolet is planning to offer consumers a more affordable electric vehicle. While the automaker currently offers the Chevy Bolt EV at a starting MSRP of $31,500 (plus destination fee), Chevrolet wants to provide more options for consumers. This comes during a time when many automakers are working to shift their lineups toward EVs in the wake of an ongoing global climate crisis. Chevrolet has teased an all-electric Silverado which is set to compete with Ford’s F-150 Lightning and Tesla’s Cybertruck. The automaker isn’t stopping there, however. According to Chevrolet, they’ll be working on electric versions of SUVs and sports cars. We’ll try to see exactly what Chevy has in store, but this is certainly an exciting time for EV fans.

Chevrolet to Offer More EVs

Chevrolet will be expanding its EV lineup. According to the automaker, the goal is to sell hundreds of thousands of EVs annually in the United States by 2025. This may seem a difficult task given the current supply chain issue, but once these resolve Chevy will have a full go signal. Chevy has been teasing the Chevrolet Silverado EV for some time now. Although it seems a fierce competitor, General Motors (GM) is already teasing several new mystery EVs. We’re not sure what these mystery EVs will be, but based on the pictures, they look to be an SUV and a sports car. During a recent earnings call, GM CEO Mary Barra said,

“Affordable EVs aren’t part of the market that start-ups aren’t targeting, but they are key to driving mass adoption of EVs, which is a national and a global priority,” said Barra. “That’s why we plan to follow the Equinox with an even more affordable EV.”

GM’s CEO understands that EVs are the future. She also understands that there are some setbacks that may cause consumers to be hesitant. Despite this wariness, GM and Chevrolet will be investing in a new Ultium platform. This will serve as the new base for new electric vehicles like the Silverado EV. Future iterations of the Chevy Bolt will also make their way to this new platform. One of the more important details that Barra stated was the fact that the automakers were working on more affordable EVs. The Chevy Bolt is reasonably priced but we’ll have to see what the Equinox EV starts at. If GM and Chevy are dead set on affordable EVs, this may be the perfect opportunity for those wanting to test the waters with an EV of their own.

The 2023 Chevy Blazer: Refreshed With Better Tech

2023 Chevy Blazer

The Chevrolet Blazer crossover has been gussied up for 2023. This up-to-the-minute SUV brings on some minute alterations that make a considerable difference. New changes include touched-up exterior styling, a new infotainment screen, updated wheel designs, and added goodies for the newest model year. These developments make more improvements on a nearly perfect product.

Externally, the funky and fresh Blazer gets the special treatment with a new front fascia and grille. The LED headlights have been tweaked and made over. There are new daytime running lamps that make use of the same lighting technology, and the taillights are a fresh feature too.

Chevy even offers a new list of available wheel sizes: 18-, 20-, and 21-inches. Potential buyers also have a new selection of paint colors, such as Fountain Blue, Sterling Gray Metallic, Copper Bronze Metallic, and Radiant Red Tintcoat.

From the inside, drivers and passengers are treated like kings, as the cabin has a new touchscreen infotainment display that measures out to an expansive 10 inches. This display serves as a standard on each and every model, it’s also considered to be an impressive upgrade from 2021’s 8-inch screen. New 2023 Blazer also gets a standard wireless charging pad for mobile devices, while RS’s also get a new interior hue dubbed Nightshift Blue.

Blazer shoppers have four trim levels to choose from: 2LT, 3LT, RS, and Premier. An all-wheel-drive (AWD) system can be had on LT’s and Premier models, though a more developed twin-clutch AWD system is offered on RS models. Chevy also puts your safety first by expanding adaptive cruise control on lesser trims. There are also a great number of standard driver-assist features such as lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, and forward collision alert.

Regarding what’s beneath the hood, there aren’t too many details. Two engines are offered, with the base being a 228-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo-four, while the 3.6-liter V6 speeds up to 308 horsepower. The V6 is reserved for the RS model but is available for 3LTs and Premieres. Both engines are paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission.

Since its recent inception, the Blazer crossover has been regarded as a fashion staple in the automotive industry, voguing it out with rivals like the Ford Edge and Nissan Murano. It’s also quite versatile, with the 2023 model serving 30.5 cubic feet of cargo space behind the back seats and 64.2 cubic feet with the 2nd-row seats folded.

At the current moment, we do not know the exact pricing for this vehicle. If all goes well, meaning that Chevy doesn’t face production delays or more hiccups from the ongoing semiconductor shortage, the 2023 Blazer should be heading to dealerships this summer.
