On the road today, drivers have made a choice when it comes to heavy-duty pickups. Their choice is the Chevrolet Silverado, which has finished among the top spots yet again so far in 2019. The upcoming 2021 Chevrolet Silverado special editions will help to ensure Chevrolet is still among the top choices for buyers. According to Chevrolet, the Silverado will have four Silverado Special Edition pickups. We’re already looking ahead to the upcoming Chevy pickups and what they will offer customers early in the next decade.

2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 Redline

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Redline is one pickup Chevy first introduced to the world at the 2019 SEMA Show held in November at Las Vegas, Nevada. The Silverado 1500 Redline carries the signature red stripe, matching red striping on the exterior mirrors, and red recovery hooks. The 20-inch black wheels look bold around the red six-piston Brembo brakes. The Chevy pickup adds a suspension lowering kit, illuminated Chevrolet brand bowtie across the grill. The red-themed appearance continues inside the vehicle with red-trimmed floor mats. Chevy adds a Chevrolet Performance Exhaust Upgrade and 50 State Legal Cold Air Intake that provides a horsepower increase of 12, to pump out even more strength for owners to embrace.

2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD Carhartt Edition

Chevy has kept its word to turn a popular concept vehicle from the previous Silverado generation and will offer customers a chance to own a real special pickup. The details, including what is expected inside and the price have not been announced. When speaking about this particular entry, Chevrolet Silverado Marketing Director, High Milne, had this to say about the upcoming special edition.

“Over a year later we were getting emails about the original Silverado Carhartt concept truck… being late in the lifecycle there wasn’t time for a Carhartt trim, but this was as quick as we could get it in: year two of a brand new truck. No production cap on Carhartt Silverado HD, it’s not priced, but if you look what’s in it. It’s not going to be incrementally a big number,” said Milne.

2021 Chevrolet Silverado Midnight Editon

The 2021 Silverado will have a familiar face with the Midnight Edition. For years, the popular special edition has earned a place among the special edition line-up. The latest Midnight Editon was introduced at the 2019 State Fair of Texas in September 2019. This half-ton pickup will also carry over to the heavy-duty segment as a special edition as well. There will be one more special edition added to the upcoming 2021 pickup.

The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD Z71 Sport Edition

The Chevrolet Z71 Sport HD package adds a blacked-out design, badging, bumpers, grille and a skid plate that adds to the off-road appeal. Customers will also gain the off-road tires wrapped on black wheels. The Silverado HD Z71 is based off the Trail Boss trim. When speaking about this special edition, Milne had this to say.

“Z71 Sport HD is just for 2500 Silverado, gas or diesel, said” Milne, who also explained that the graphics package will be available via the Chevrolet Accessories catalog. Milne also states that the Silverado HD Z71 Sport borrows design cues from the Silverado 1500 Trail Boss, but the team stopped short in calling it that,” said High Milne -Chevrolet Silverado Marketing Director.

Chevrolet has come full circle with their Chevy Trailblazer. After being off the market for an extended period of time, last made in 2002, the Trailblazer name returned with the 2019 Chevrolet Trailblazer. The mid-size crossover is now a compact crossover and looks even more luxurious than its previous entry. The 2019 Chevrolet Trailblazer included a powerful 2.0-Liter turbocharged 4 cylinder engine that was optional on both the 2LT and 3LT trims, but the stakes have been raised for this upcoming model year. The Chevrolet SUV made its debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November 2019. Let’s share all the details we’ve learned about this new Trailblazer.

Inside the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer

Drivers will enjoy more space inside the Trailblazer than the similar Chevy Trax. This 2021 Trailblazer has 54 cubic feet with its 60.40 split second-row seats folded down, which is six more feet than offered than the larger Trax. Chevrolet has added a new “Activ” trim to go with the RS trim level that offers a new appearance. The RS trim is flashier and the sportier trim with its differing grille pattern and black bow-tie emblem. The Activ has a larger grille opening and a different look on the 17-inch wheels. The Activ trim adds Hankook Sport Terrain tires as well. Both trims provided standard two-tone roof appearance. All trims will include stand lane-keeping assist, forward-collision warning and automated emergency braking. Adaptive cruise control and blind-spot monitoring are among the available safety features added to the 2021 Trailblazer.

The Best Perks About the Upcoming Chevy Trailblazer

Owners will be pleased with many aspects of the new 2021 TrailTrailblazer. Chevy has detailed certain aspects that might make owners quite happy. Chevy revealed two turbocharged three-cylinder engines will be available. A base 1.2-Liter engine that adds 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque are available, a 1.3-Liter engine that hits 155 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque is also available. CVT (Continuously variable transmission) technology is only available for front-wheel-drive models. The 1.3-Liter models offer an optional all-wheel-drive system that is connected to a nine-speed automatic transmission. Perhaps the most attractive feature aside from the sleek look is the price. The base trim will be sold under $20,000 MSRP. (That is quite a discount from the previous Trailblazer pricing!) The debut of the 2021 Chevrolet TrailTrailblazer is expected to come in spring 2020.

The half-ton pickup landscape has a lot to offer customers looking for a solid choice. Among the vehicles are great choices, but we’re certain many drivers would prefer the new 2020 Chevrolet Silverado. In fact, the Chevy brand can’t seem to build their collection of Silverado trucks fast enough to meet demand. The report regarding Chevy handling their production side came from GM Authority, which commented on how successful the Silverado is selling towards the end of 2019. The evidence can be found in the 40 percent increase in the Silverado HD sales from this year compared to 2018.

“Our customers love these new models. We can’t build the new ones fast enough. The response has been positive. They show up and they disappear,” said Silverado Marketing Manager Hugh Milne.

Chevy Sees Success For More Than Just the Silverado 1500

The Chevrolet brand has kept the previous model, the 2019 Silverado, on lots. While those older models are still being pushed, their new 2020 Silverado models are selling like wildfire alongside the older models. Chevrolet is also proud to push its heavy-duty Silverado lineup.

Drivers can find the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 beginning at $35,695 MSRP (Plus destination fee) and the base model Silverado 3500 starts at $36,895 MSRP (Plus destination fee).

The Silverado 2500 offers drivers with outstanding strength, holding a maximum towing capacity of 18,500-pounds that can get nearly any job done with. For business owners that are truly looking to add some intense power can opt for the Silverado 3500 that supplies 35,500 pounds of a maximum towing capacity. Owners of these pickups will note how easy its become to use a hitch with the slew of cameras and direct angles that show how to park, reverse and connect the truck to a hitch easily.

The 2020 Silverado Is Ready For Customers

Whether a driver wants to opt for a refined driving experience or wants to be able to produce real results for their field, they can rely on the latest Silveardo line-up. The latest Chevrolet Silverado packages have arrived as well. In regards to the production of the Silverado pickups going forward, Barry Engle, the GM President of the Americas since April 1st, 2019 had this to offer customers.

“Given our limited availability, we deliberately launched with a really high mix in trims. But as we get broader availability and get the full portfolio out there, we’ll be just fine,” -Engle, GM President of Americas.

The Revamp for the 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe and Suburban Will Debut Before the End of the Year

If buyers are waiting for the next-generation of Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban, they won’t have to wait for much longer. GM Authority has reported that both SUVs will get a revamp soon and we’ll be able to get a preview as soon as December 10th of 2019.

Chevrolet has been quiet about them launching their most significant vehicles. There are spy shots all over the internet, and several speculations have been born because of the high-riding models that are seen. However, there are reports which show there is an imminent reveal which is going around, and the teaser is keeping buyers and enthusiasts on the edge of our seats.

The Suburban and Tahoe will be riding on an independent rear suspension setup. The platform for the Tahoe and Suburban is expected to ride on the GM T1 ladder-frame platform. It is known to be prominently on the Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra. Chevy is situating itself on the same ground as its rivals. It’s most noticeable with the Ford Expedition vehicle.

As for the exterior design, both vehicles will have new lighting configurations and a new fascia. But the most prominent new design is the inclusion of the front air curtains which will be better for fuel-efficiency. As the 2021 specs aren’t available yet and assuming there are no powertrain changes coming, let’s take a look at the 2020 Chevy Tahoe and Suburban offer.

There are two performance options for the 2020 Tahoe. Standard on the Tahoe is the 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 engine, which comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. The combination of the engine and the transmission on the Tahoe provides lots of power and quick acceleration.

Available is the 420-horsepower 6.2-liter V8, which helps deliver speedy acceleration. With this engine, there is a 10-speed automatic transmission.

The Tahoe has a V8 engine base that gives the vehicle 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. Average figures for a large SUV. The Tahoe gets 14 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway with the 6.2-liter V8 engine.

When the 2020 Tahoe is properly equipped it tows up to 8,600 pounds. Standard on the vehicle is the trailering equipment which includes the trailer sway control, a 2-inch receiver and a trailering hitch platform. As a piece of optional equipment, there is a two-speed transfer case, an integrated trailer brake controller, an air-leveling suspension, and a higher rear axle ratio.

The 2020 Suburban comes with a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine which makes 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. That combination alone capably moves this large SUV with ease.

The same optional 6.2-liter V8 engine for the Tahoe is available for the Suburban. It produces 420 horsepower and the 460 pound-feet of torque. It comes with a modern 10-speed automatic transmission.

The trims with the 6.2-liter powertrain have a quicker acceleration but it comes with a premium of more than $20,000 above the MSRP of the 5.3-liter Suburban. The base engine and the standard rear-wheel drive, return an EPA-estimate of 15 mpg in the city and 22 mpg on the highway. The four-wheel-drive trims get 14 mpg in the city and deliver 21 mpg on the highway.

The estimate for the 6.2-liter V8 engine is not that different. The rear-wheel-drive trims get 14/23 mpg on the city/highway. The four-wheel-drive gets 14/20 mpg on the city/highway.

As for the towing, when it’s properly equipped, the Suburban can tow up to 8,300 pounds. Drivers looking for a towing machine with great interior cargo space consider the Suburban an appealing alternative to a full-size pickup truck.

Chevrolet Introduces Remarkable Electric E-10 Pickup Concept

E-10 Miami Lakes Automall

Chevrolet has introduced a retro-looking pickup that invokes images of decades past, yet is something out of the future with its zero-emissions drive. The E-10 is a low-riding truck that gives off the appearance of a totally clean hot rod look. The truck is sleek and quite a sight to see. Chevy has really introduced something cool and a concept that has already received fanfare for its innovation and tight design. Bolt EV tech has been added to this new concept by Chevy and made its debut at the 2019 SEMA show in Las Vegas on November 5th, 2019.

Origins of the E-10 Concept

The E-10 concept is named from the crate engine it’s origins began out of. The “eCrate” powertrain is actually two electric motors with dual 400-volt battery and a traditional automatic transmission joined to it. The electric motors can be found in other Chevy products, but just not a dual-engine setup. The engineers A fitted tonneau cover covers the truck bed. This eCrate is new and it is not known if this will become something Chevrolet adds into their production vehicles going forward. This E-10 concept is no pushover for horsepower. The remarkable vehicle has a grand total of 450 horsepower and has a quick burst that allows drivers to reach 60 mph in about 5 seconds. The E-10 carries a quarter-mile time of a solid 13 seconds and is allowing audiences to re-imagine what it could be like to drive an electric pickup.

Battery Miami Lakes Automall

Best Highlight From This All-New Chevrolet Pickup Concept

The vehicle is already able to provide drivers with zero emissions, so no gasoline is needed. Chevrolet made sure to include two battery packs as a way to allow for simultaneous charging and a larger driving range to enjoy the vehicle wherever the owner wants to go. The E-10 provides three speakers that project a track and touring version of the LS7-powered V8 sound found in the Camaro. The Emulator in the concept can adjust the sound in the vehicle to the transmission’s gears to bring back that famous, old school hot rod sound. Hearing an electric vehicle purr loudly might seem odd, but the aesthetic really helps make the entire process of this electric concept complete. After all, if a vehicle is going to look as sweet as this one does, resembling the hot rod background, surely any driver would want to make it known on the road.

The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 Duramax Diesel

The 2020 Silverado is taking a page from the 1990s. Back then, you were able to get a Silverado 1500 with a V-8 diesel. But since then, Chevy has stopped offering a diesel half-ton truck, and the Silverado 1500 has had an all-gasoline engine since; until now.

The Silverado 1500 for 2020, takes the vehicle in 7 seconds from 0-60 mph- at least the Silverado RST Duramax. It has an outstanding performance, and it completed a quarter-mile at 90.7 mph in 15.4 seconds. Talk about fast!

The numbers are close to what the Ford F-150 diesel 4×2 delivers. The F-150 goes from 0 to 60 mph in 7.1 seconds. The F-150 ran the quarter-mile in 15.6 seconds at 88.9 mph.

The 1500 Duramax 2WD can tow up to 7,600 pounds. If you think about it those numbers aren’t bad, and it feels even better when you’re driving it. The vehicle has lots of torque and the diesel engine is buttery smooth.

When it comes to pulling the trailer, it pulls effortlessly and the 10-speed automatic transmission shifts swiftly. The Silverado doesn’t struggle when pulling all that weight and going uphill it performs flawlessly. Talk about effortless.

On the 1500 Duramax, Chevy is offering its invisible trailer technology for those who do a lot of towing. It uses the camera that is installed on the back of the trailer which works with one the rear cameras that’s on the trucks’ rear and creates an image on the infotainment screen; which allows for the view of the rear (without the trailer) to be seen. When the trailer is so big that it blocks your rear visibility, this is a nice feature indeed.

The updates on the vehicle are noticeable. Diesel engines are known for being obnoxiously louder than their gas counterparts, but that’s not the case with the Duramax. The engineers of the vehicle made sure that the engine was quiet and they made improvements to the trucks NVH (noise, vibration, and harshness) to have a smoother ride.

Although there aren’t many updates on the interior, the updates made are nice additions considering the lack of a new interior. New on the vehicle is an 8.0-inch touchscreen which is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a new HD rear camera that projects a better image when the driver is backing up to a trailer.

As with all Silverados, there are new additions to the bed. There is the standard CornerStep which is built into the bumper which gives the Silverado an advantage over its competitors and there’s also a three fixed tie-down on each corner. The bed also adds more volume to the truck; the designers added 3.5 inches on each size which accommodates larger objects.

The Silverado Duramax RST 2WD starts at $28,300 (plus destination fee). The LT starts at ($38,000 plus destination fee), the LTZ starts at $43,000 plus destination fee), and on the High Country starts at $53,000 (plus destination fee). The 3.0-liter Duramax is available on each trim for an additional $9,395 upcharge. Many people are happy that Chevy is offering a diesel engine in the Silverado 1500 and the engine’s performance and capability is an added bonus as it makes it stand out from the crowd.

You can search the inventory of Chevy Silverado’s at Miami Lakes Automall.  Make sure to stop by for a test drive and see if the Chevy Silverado is the truck for you.
