Chevrolet recently began selling the new 2020 Silverado HD. Sales were jumpstarted thanks to a ton of mortifications and updates, including a new interior appearance and infotainment options. Customers will now be able to buy or lease a 2020 Silverado HD with the newly added SiriusXM 360. This is an available service, but any 2020 Silverado HD will have the capability to add this remarkable streaming radio service. This marks the first time ever the Silverado HD has offered SiriusXM 360L.

Differences Between XM and XM 360L

The difference with SirIusXM 360L is more channel content and the combination of serious is satellite as well as their streaming features that has been referred to by SiriusXM as “the best listening experience Sirius XM has ever offered.”. Rest assured, Chevrolet is happy to appease their customers with the latest technology, which the latest Silverado has an abundance of. Customers who opt for this radio feature will gain over 200 channels and the ability to stream live radio at a moment’s notice. Going further, content related to the owner’s previous selections and preferences will be suggested. Audiences can enjoy interviews, pre-recorded shows, play by play broadcast and live events with the single push of a button.

Chevy Offers High-Quality Audio Experience

Standard for the 2020 Silverado HD is the third and newest Chevrolet Infotainment System, with a 7-inch color touchscreen on WT and Custom trim levels, and an 8-inch color touchscreen on LT, LTZ, and High Country models. Standard for the Silverado HD owners is Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support. In Regular Cab pickups, a two-speaker system is supplied. Double Cab and Crew Cab models gain six speakers. A seven-speaker Bose premium sound system with a Richbass woofer is optional for the LTZ trim and standard for the premium High Country trim.

Improved Powertrain As Well

What else has Chevrolet operated for its heavy-duty Silverado? Under the hood of the 2020 Silverado HD includes an impressive Duramax turbodiesel V8 engine with a new 10-speed automatic gearbox, a new gasoline engine with direct injection. Chevrolet has said these upgrades will provide “significant increases in towing and payload capabilities”. Starting price for the 2020 Silverado HD is $34,100 MSRP (Plus destination fee). Spy Photos for the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban Are Out

There’s a prototype for the redesigned Chevrolet Suburban that has been spotted, which reveals a few clues about the upcoming SUV. General Motors is redesigning its full-size fleet around the T1 body-on-frame platform for SUVs and pickups as you’re reading this. The platform for the vehicle is an evolution of the current K2 design and it sheds some steel for aluminum to reduce the pounds. It might help the new Suburban shed about 300 pounds.

Last year, the T1 platform made its debut in the 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 and the Chevrolet Silverado 1500. The redesigned Suburban is expected to arrive at dealerships as a 2021 model in the second half of 2020.

A redesigned version of the smaller Tahoe should be out shortly. GM is also working on redesigning the related GMC Yukon and Cadillac Escalade. The vehicles are all built at the same plant in Arlington, Texas.

This Suburban prototype has a lot of camouflage gear, but as for the design of the vehicle’s face, especially the headlight treatment, it looks to have been borrowed from the latest Silverado model. Viewers can also see the angle of the C-pillar through the camouflage gear, as well as the graphic of the taillights, can also be seen.

Although the engineers tried to hide the rear axle, they weren’t very successful as it can be seen that there is an independent rear suspension instead of this generation’s solid rear. This could be in direct response to Ford’s latest Expedition, and it should significantly improve the vehicle’s comfort levels. The other big news is the broader range of powertrains that are expected for the new Suburban and there’s a good chance that a new 2.7-liter turbocharged inline-4 with cylinder deactivation fitted can be seen— that’s correct, a 4-cylinder Suburban.

There is an advanced powertrain, which makes 310 horsepower and 348 pound-feet of torque, that has already been announced for the Silverado. The 5.3-liter V-8 is available, possibly with the more advanced Dynamic Fuel Management cylinder deactivation technology which can vary the engine’s firing between one and all eight cylinders. At the top of the range could be the 6.2-liter V-8 with 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque currently available in Suburban RST trim.

2019 Chevrolet Suburban Interior:

The 2019 Suburban’s has an upscale interior that grabs anyone’s attention from the moment they step inside; it has an artful shape, high-end materials, and excellent fit-and-finish seem more appropriate for a luxury sedan than a full-size SUV. The third row on the vehicle has enough foot- and legroom for adults and kids. The high cargo floor provides enough space for the flat-fold 3rd-row seats and under the floor is a handy hidden storage area, so space doesn’t feel wasted.

2019 Chevrolet Suburban Exterior:

The exterior for the Suburban doesn’t share anything when it comes to the components or the design with its Silverado pickup-truck counterpart. The exterior designer for Chevy had a lot of space at their disposal, and they used it well as this SUV is big enough, and it has a presence that is decidedly commanding. The broad front face of the vehicle owns the traffic lane, and it has long, flowing lines which emphasize the Suburban’s considerable length instead of hiding it.

Dimensionally, the 2019 Suburban is about the same size as all those versions of years past. But when talking about full-size SUVs, an inch here or there doesn’t make much of a difference. It’s all about what the buyer is looking for.

2019 Chevrolet Suburban Options:

The Suburban has an extensive available-equipment list. Among its choices is if buyers order the LS trim level with the front bench seat which is Suburban’s most prominent trim and it can haul up to nine people. Any of the trims available can be equipped with the Driver Alert Package which adds low-speed forward automatic braking, IntelliBeam automatic high beams, lane-keep assist, driver-alert seat, and power-adjustable pedals.

For the LT version, we like the exceptionally comprehensive Luxury Package that adds many of the Premier’s luxury touches. There is an Entertainment and Destinations Package that bundles navigation with the Premier’s luxury touches. There is also a Blu-ray rear-seat entertainment system, and a power sunroof.

Make the Switch From Mustang to Camaro and Save Money

Camaro Miami Lakes Automall

Mustang? Over the Chevrolet Camaro? Chevrolet is betting drivers of the Ford Mustang will prefer driving the latest Camaro, the 2020 Chevrolet Camaro. General Motors (GM) believes that so much they have a new deal in place to get new Camaro owners. Mustang owners, this is the prime opportunity to experience the sleek-looking new Camaro. Currently, through September 3rd, 2019, owners of a Ford Mustang, can get an extra $2,500 off when purchasing a Chevrolet Camaro. All buyers are also eligible for $500 in customer cash. What else can customers expect with the upcoming 2020 Camaro? Let’s get into the new details.

Reasons For the Sale

Chevrolet has already sold more than 25,000 units of the 2019 Camaro through two quarters of 2019, which is a 3% drop from this same time last year. Thus, this was a smart incentive by Chevy to add more sales and steer buyers away from the competition. This incentive program works for any owner of any Mustang to gain a massive opportunity. Chevrolet is fairing better than Ford whose numbers show a 9.2 percent reduction from last year. One reason this may be the case? The products are not as spectacular; with the Camaro being the exception.

Changes to the Camaro

The 2020 Chevrolet Camaro will have a new look for the SS trim and differs from those who did not like the refresh of the 2019 model. The largest difference can be found in the grille with a nice body-color crossbar and the bowtie decal is higher in the upper section. While the 2019 Camaro had a contrasting black piece in the center and the logo in the middle. This was a welcomed difference for Chevy fans that have closely paid attention to the Camaro. They will also notice the 2020 Camaro will cost less for the base trim at $34,995 MSRP (plus destination fee) for the LT1. The LT1 comes with the 3.6-Liter V6 that now has the upgraded 10-speed automatic transmission. Owners can choose from a coupe or convertible and new color options including Rally Green as well as new wheel designs.

“Customers spoke, and we listened. The overwhelmingly positive reaction to the Shock’s stylized design helped prompt its transition from concept to production,” said Steve Majoros, Director of Chevrolet Passenger Car and Crossover Marketing.

Chevrolet’s new Electic Vehicle Is Called the Menlo and the Official Images Just Dropped

The official images of the Chevrolet Menlo EV, which is believed to be the Chinese version of the Bolt EUV, have been released by General Motors. The new Menlo is an electric car expected to become the replacement for the Bolt EV. GM had outlined its “All-Electric Path to Zero Emissions,” in October of 2017. The strategy included 20 new all-electric vehicles to be released by 2023.

According to a report by electrek.co, Chevrolet had promised to launch two new electric cars in the 18 months following the announcement. These two vehicles were to be based on the Chevy Bolt EV. But there has not been a single new EV release in the States, yet.

GM has previously disagreed with the electrek.co report and has claimed that they have released those vehicles already, in the China market. The two vehicles in question are the Baojun E200 and the Buick Velite 6 EV, which are only available in China and are joint-ventures with Chinese partners.

What we do know is that GM has been working on a utility version of the Bolt EV. This could be exactly what GM had in mind with its 2017 report. They did file for a ‘Bolt EUV’ trademark at the beginning of 2019.

The images were released by SAIC-GM joint venture as part of a presentation in China; SAIC-GM is going to build the vehicle. It is reported that it will have an electric motor with a 174 hp output, a 150 km/h top speed, but the range is not yet known. The Chevrolet Menlo EV’s dimensions are 4,665mm by 1,813mm and 1,513mm with a 2,660mm wheelbase, which is expected to launch later this year.

Electrek’s Take

The idea is that SAIC-GM is going to produce a version of the electric car with its own electric powertrain. Likely the same as the one in the Buick Velite 6. GM will create another version for the North American market with the same powertrain as the Bolt EV.

The Chinese car blog, CarNewsChina, has posted leaked images on its Facebook page, and even though none of the photos are exceptionally high-resolution, viewers can tell that the Menlo borrows something from several of the vehicles in GM’s lineup. You can see there is something from Bolt, as well as Volt and there’s even something from Blazer. The Menlo would likely do well in the United States.

Based on the original plans announced two years ago, that would make sense. That was before GM tried to convince the public of the Buick Velite 6 EV. The Baojun E200 was one of two Bolt EV-based EVs that they were planning on launching.

It might be an exciting form factor which will likely compete with the Kia Niro EV and the Hyundai Kona EV. What would make it better is if GM also updates the Bolt EV powertrain since it has become outdated since it’s launch in 2016. The faster DC fast-charging capability might be the most needed upgrade yet.

The car’s official debut will be this September at the Chengdu Auto Show, and more details are expected on the technical aspects of the car then. C8 Miami Lakes Automall

The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Officially Debuts

C8 Miami Lakes Automall

In a class by itself, the all-new Chevrolet Corvette C8 will become entirely synonymous with “High-speed adrenaline” for all owners. Do not take this sports car lightly. It’s one of our favorite vehicles to arrive in 2019. The all-new generation Chevrolet Corvette simply looks like a beautiful spaceship that landed on Earth! It’s stunning and we want our readers to consider the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 as the new champion of sports cars on the road today. Other sports cars may wish they could come as close, but they were not made in the same way the Corvette C8 was. Sleek, fast, optimal, and with the first mid-engine Chevrolet has ever added to their Corvette. Let’s explore all the C8 has to offer customers.

Step Into the C8

The all-new 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 was built for the modern professional with a fitted connected charging port, an ultra-responsive touchscreen, and more high-tech goodies. Included in the 2LT and 3LT are improved safety features ranging from Side Blind Zone Alert Mirrors, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Upgraded HD Rear Vision Camera, and an Updated Front Curb View Camera as all cameras capture video in HD. Park Assist will display the distance to the object near the Corvette. GM has truly gone all out to reward Corvette owners will top-notch safety and high-tech features.

“This car is very fast and aerodynamics play a big role in keeping this car stable at all speeds. It is easy to see the influence of aircraft design in the body shape. The body ridges help direct the airflow around the body and into the cooling inlets. Cooling and downforce help keep this vehicle stable,” said Kirk Bennion, part of the C8 Design Team

Create the 2020 Corvette C8 From the Ground Up

Perhaps the most customizable Corvette, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 will allow more flexibility than before. Owners will have their pick at nearly anything important. For example, an improvement over previous-generation Corvette models, the C8 Stingray trim affords three seating options instead of two. Custom color options now go up for the tones, materials and seatbelt colors. In total, there are two different tones, three materials and six seatbelt colors the owner can decide over. Want LED lighting? That is an option as well. The former “Automobile of the Year” winner by Automobile Magazine and named to back to back Car and Driver “10Best list” in 2018 and 2019, drivers can expect only the best in top-notch materials from Chevrolet.

Carbon Fiber Anyone?

For those who prefer carbon fiber accessories, they can do that. Just want carbon fiber on the front splitter or roof? Maybe both of those and the side skirts, grille and side mirrors? The entire vehicle allows for the choice to be made by the owner. What does this mean? The chances are higher that each Corvette C8 Stingray will look different than any other.  To keep customers even happier than all these available options is the low entry price to own a 2020 Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray; the starting price is $60,000 MSRP (plus destination fee). We recommend previous owners of the Corvette to consider trading in and upgrading to the latest Corvette. This kind of speed and horsepower may take getting used to for new owners, but that will be the fun part. Trust us. We can expect the C8 to come to dealerships nationwide by the end of summer 2019.

Chevy Camaro May Be Discontinued After 2023

2018 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE

GM has not confirmed or denied the Camaro’s imminent expiration. Is Chevrolet thinking about killing the Camaro, again? Muscle Cars and Trucks suggests that might happen after 2023 when the current sixth-generation ‘Maro is slated to end its production.

The report states from “multiple sources” at General Motors said the next-generation Camaro program has no apparent future beyond 2023 as it’s suspended. The same sources are also saying that the nameplate will likely get shelved as well, which means no more Camaro in the pony car’s history for the second time. Motor1.com contacted GM to see what truth is behind the claim, and they received this official statement from them:

“While we will not engage in speculation, we will remind you of our recently announced updates coming to the Camaro lineup this fall. An all-new LT1 model will provide customers V8 power with the design and affordability of our LT trim. The award-winning SS model will feature a new front fascia from the Camaro Shock concept. All of our updates are customer-driven to improve the car, and it’s driving experience.”

That’s not a denial by any means, but it’s neither a final nail in Camaro’s coffin. If going strictly off sales, the future looks grim indeed; deliveries on the sixth-generation Camaro have fallen since its introduction in 2016, with just under 51,000 being sold in 2018. It’s the lowest sales year since Camaro’s revival in 2009, and sales through the first three months of 2019 are only slightly better.

To Chevrolet’s credit, the 2020 facelift brings a more traditional look to the front of the car back. There is no guarantee if sales will increase or decrease on the Camaro rebound for the 2020 model year and if it will sell with its fresh face. Muscle Cars and Trucks points out as well that the Camaro’s chassis is shared with the now-defunct CTS and Cadillac ATS.

That does not mean that the next generation of Camaro couldn’t be transitioned to another platform, but the report does highlight that various members from the Camaro team have stated that GM has spent time on other projects. Put it all together, and there is an excellent case supporting the cancellation claim. GM, for sure, will be watching Camaro – and Mustang – sales very carefully over the next 12 months.

Camaro Performance:

Camaro Engine is Never Short on Power. The base engine for the Camaro is a 275-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, but there’s an upgrade to a 335-horsepower V6, a 455-horsepower V8, or a 650-horsepower supercharged V8 that buyers can purchase. Every engine available provides enough power for driving around town or on the highway and an eager acceleration, but the high-performance V8s deliver track-worthy muscle.

Camaro Gas Mileage: Paying a Premium Despite Decent Ratings. With its V6 engine, the Camaro gets 19 mpg in the city and 29 mpg on the highway. The turbo-four driver receives the best ratings in the lineup, earning 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway.

While those are solid ratings for the class, they don’t translate to fuel savings because the four-cylinder engine requires premium gasoline. You’ll save about $150 per year on gas by getting the Camaro’s V6 over the turbo-four. Despite the latter’s superior mpg ratings.

Camaro Ride and Handling: Dynamic and Comfortable

The rear-wheel-drive Camaro has the handling chops to let you take full advantage of its powerful engines. It’s incredibly agile, and it also rides smoothly. The sharp steering and sturdy brakes are perfect for winding roads.

If there are any signs of life, there’s no reason to believe the automaker couldn’t push forward with a new plan. If, however, sales continue to underwhelm, there might be another way. We might well see Chevrolet’s warhorse put out to pasture yet again.

You can search the inventory of Chevy Camaro’s at Miami Lakes Automall.  Make sure to stop by for a test drive and see if this model and make is the car for you.

2020 C8 Miami Lakes Automall

What To Know About the Mid-Engine 2020 Chevrolet Corvette

2020 C8 Miami Lakes Automall

The summer is starting to cool off, but more heat will be turned up when the all-new new mid-engine Corvette arrives. This Corvette is the first mid-engined supercar Chevy has ever made. While some customers have grown a fondness towards hearing the sound of the engine coming from the hood, Chevrolet had other ideas for their 8th-generation Corvette. Chevrolet knows that some buyers won’t like how they are changing where the engine goes, but there’s no turning back now. Chevrolet has already made up their mind that its evolutionary design will win over new buyers. One fantastic reason why this might be certain? This all-new Corvette will be the fastest one ever made.

Chevrolet Is Winning Over New and Previous Customers Alike

Changes have already been made to direct the upcoming 2020 Chevrolet Corvette away from traditional aspects, and designs like having chrome wheels. Chrome wheels have been a long-running favorite amongst the conventional Corvette fans, but Chevrolet had to revamp their brand. With a new decade approaching and sales that weren’t as glorious as they once were, Chevrolet is making moves. Consider the positives that will come with this bold take on reinventing their prized Corvette sports car. For those Chevy fans that prefer the front-engined Corvette, keep in mind, Chevrolet has lowered the cost of the previous-generation, the C7 Corvette. That might win back some support for those who want to experience the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette. Or perhaps the C8’s 6.2-Liter V8 known as the LT2 is the reason. 495 horsepower with 570 lb-ft of torque is impressive and 40 more horsepower than the previous generation C7 Corvette. However, for those who want the previous-generation Corvette are in luck.

How the Supplier Pricing Discount Works On a C7 Purchase

We’ve learned Chevrolet is extending “Supplier Pricing For Everyone” for the Corvette C7 through September 2nd, 2019. This pricing is reserved for huge discounts on the Corvette in the amount up to $9,404 price cut. There aren’t any hopes to jump through to gain this clearance price. The only way to have more of a savings is by choosing the highest-tier Corvette in the Corvette Z06 that starts at $95,020 MSRP (plus destination fee) and allows for savings of over $9,700. However, customers can expect a fantastic discount on the C7 Corvette, no matter which trim they opt for.

Things To Remember About Discount Deal

Keep in mind, this unique offer is only allowed for customers who are purchasing their C7, not leasing.  The only other requirement to achieve these $9,000+ saving is to have owned any Chevrolet Corvette before. This is considered a loyalty discount meant to keep those with a Corvette, in a more modern Corvette. Without a previous Corvette, this deal loses $3,000 in savings for first-time Corvette owners. However, saving $6,000 or more on any vehicle is always a welcomed deal. For those who want to get the ball rolling on a new Corvette, we know the place to drive them home.

An Overview of the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette

The 8th Generation of the Iconic Corvette has arrived. After waiting for, what seemed like an eternity, the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette has made its debut. As the spy shots have predicted, the eighth generation of America’s iconic sports car is a revolutionary vehicle, which shreds many of the ideas of what a Corvette should be.

There is also the fact that the C8 Corvette Stingray has a mid-engine design. Corvette fans refer to the different periods of the car by the generation number of the vehicle. Hence, why the new version is the C8 Corvette, while the current model is the C7.

Over the 66-year history, the seven older age group of the ‘Vette have been front-engine designs, with a mile-long hood which covers the potent engines. Chevy has stated the front-engine layout had extended its peak of performance with the C7 Corvette. For the first time, the engine has been moved behind the seats in the 2020 Corvette.

The Stingray coupe is one of the first new Corvettes to launch. Many believe that it will be followed by higher-performance variants and a convertible. It’s the first corvette that will also be built with right-hand drive, so the rest of the world can experience America’s affordable supercar.

The Corvette gets a new shape with the original Corvette design having a shape inspired by the aeronautical advancements. In keeping with the tradition, the plan for the 2020 Chevrolet Corvette is encouraged by the F-35 Lightning II fighter jets and F-22 Raptor. The lines are curvy and crisp, with a dramatic profile.

The design elements that show the C8 is a descendant of the C7 Corvette, as well as the body’s proportions, are drastically different. Gone is the Corvette’s signature long hood. An aggressively sculpted short hood has replaced it, and the cabin has been moved ahead by 16.5 inches.

The sides of the new Corvette C8 are dominated by massive air intakes that look like they could have come from a Ferrari LaFerrari or Ford GT. Those air intakes are needed to feed the V8 that’s located behind the cabin, forward of the rear wheels. That V8 is visible below a large rear window that displays the powerplant like a fierce zoo animal.

There is only one engine for now, but it’s potent. Chevrolet made a splash at the recent Corvette C8 introduction when they announced the base Stingray model’s engine. It will come with a 6.2-liter small-block LT2 V8 engine that produces 495 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque when it’s equipped with the optional performance exhaust.

That’s 40 horsepower more than the LT1 V8 in the current C7 Corvette Stingray, and the most ever provided in a base Corvette. It is the only non-turbo- or supercharged V8 in the class. According to Chevy, a C8 Stingray equipped with the Z51 package will launch from zero to 60 mph in less than three seconds.

Of course, you won’t find traditional door handles to break up the Corvette’s lines. They’re hidden at the front edge of the air intake since the engine is on display through the rear window, Chevy designed every visible part with an appearance in mind. They refer to the engine as a “jewel in the center” of the car.

It has an updated infotainment system. The 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray will include the company’s most advanced infotainment system, supported by an all-new electrical system that permits higher-resolution touch screens and lightning-fast data transmission. An 8-inch infotainment touch screen comes standard.

Chevy says the new wiring architecture will support over-the-air updates and has been designed with cybersecurity in mind. The new system can be outfitted with an advanced Performance Data Recorder (PDR). It monitors vehicle data and matches it with video from a forward-facing camera.

When it’s not used as an analysis tool, the camera acts like a traditional dashcam, triggered each time the car starts or when it’s put in valet mode. To help avoid damaging the Corvette’s massive wheels, buyers can add a curb-view camera.

Every Corvette available features a 12-inch customizable panel display and other new advanced features to the model. A wireless phone charger is available. Buyers with smartphones that can perform Bluetooth pairing can put their phone near an available near-field communication spot on the dash.

The C8 Corvette’s voice recognition system, according to Chevrolet, will learn as you go. The available navigation system features improved real-time traffic updates, though they’re redundant if you use Waze with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. There’s also an available full-color head-up display project driving information into the driver’s line of sight.

You can search the inventory of Chevrolet Corvette’s at Miami Lakes Automall.  Make sure to stop by for a test drive and see if this model and make is the car for you.
