Caravaggio Boosts Chevy Vehicles Inside and Out

The Chevy brand is looking to improve their vehicles across the board from their legendary pickups to their high-speed sport cars. Spy shots have shown the upcoming 2020 Chevrolet heavy-duty trucks will carry LED headlights as well as diesel and gas powertrain options. As far as their sports cars, they have attracted attention for pushing the envelope working towards becoming faster than ever before. Most recently, the Chevrolet Camaro SS is being produced with over 800 horsepower and the latest 2019 Yenko/SC Corvette Stage II is built with 1,000 horsepower! That’s wicked speed and some progress to be proud of.

However, businesses and fans alike are clamoring for more. Inspired by Chevy and looking to improve are different companies that take Chevrolet vehicles and tune them even further to make custom Chevrolet vehicles. Lately, those companies like Caravaggio Corvettes are working on improving the interior cabin and cabin space. According to Caravaggio Corvettes, their specialization of building customer Corvettes and Corvette parts has led to a custom C7 generation Corvette Z06 with added European luxury flare to both the interior and exterior design.

Unique Caravaggio Upgrades

Caravaggio Corvettes custom vehicles include a vast increase in rich custom leather inserts. In the first two Z06 Corvettes that Caravaggio Corvettes touched up, they added carbon fiber across the dash, steering wheel and door panels. They even placed carbon fiber in the very seats drivers and passengers will occupy. Custom painted brake calipers and headlights give the custom Z06 an entirely fresh look. For drivers that don’t want to spend the money on the highest stake luxury vehicles, making a custom Corvette with the help of a company like Caravaggio is an attractive option.

Caravaggio Corvettes have also enjoyed beefing up the performance as well. They increased the Z06’s horsepower by 80 from 650 horsepower to 730 horsepower as well as the same jump for the torque – from 650 lb-ft of torque up to 730 lb-ft of torque. So, what would the price be for some of these custom upgrades? The cost of the additional carbon fiber upgrades is $19,500. Specialized wheels and tires with the engine output work cost $20,000. Combine those prices on top of owning a Z06, currently with a starting MSRP of $79,495 (plus destination fee), it can become pretty pricey. Keep in mind, the look and feel of the upgraded Corvettes are definitely noticeable. This is not only impressive but shows the admiration for the Chevy brand and how some people can’t wait to get their hands on the next generation of Chevy vehicles.

Many are not alone in that regard, but for those who haven’t experienced a Chevy vehicle yet, there’s no risk in coming in for a test drive. Miami Lakes Automall wants to show off their large collection of the latest Chevrolet vehicles. Wondering what it would be like to drive a 2019 Chevy Corvette?

Chevy Introduces New Special Edition Packages

Chevrolet, a brand that has listened to the feedback from consumers, is announcing some additions to their vehicle stock. Chevy will increase the availability of the 6.2-Liter V8 engine within its full-size SUV lineup with the debut of the 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe and Chevrolet Suburban Premier Plus special editions. The 6.2-Liter V8 first arrived in the Chevy full-size SUV lineup on the 2018 Tahoe RST 6.2-Liter Performance Package. Chevy has always been about building vehicles their customers will want. These packages show us those changes are evident in the latest All Premier Plus edition Chevy full-size SUVs. Chevy also announced that customers can get their hands on the RST Premier models with the optional 6.2-Liter Performance Package. These vehicles include Magnetic Ride Control with performance calibration and a Hydra-Matic 10-speed automatic transmission.

“Our customers have shown strong demand for both Tahoe and Suburban with the 6.2-Liter V8 option. Thirty-six percent of all Chevy full-size SUV special edition models are now sold with this engine. Premier Plus gives both Suburban and Tahoe customers another option to decide from with additional premium touches.” -Sandor Piszar, director of Chevrolet Trucks Marketing & Advertising.

More on the Chevy Special Editions

The 2019 Chevy Tahoe and 2019 Chevy Suburban Premier Plus editions feature a fabulously rich interior with ventilated black and mahogany-colored leather-appointed front seats (that also include heating features) in surrounding Jet Black trim. This luxurious two-tone interior and the 22-inch polished wheels debut with this new package in Chevy’s full-size SUV lineup. The Special Edition trims carry gold Chevrolet  “bowtie” logos, chrome nameplate badging, a heads-up display, an 8-inch diagonal cluster, cross rails, chrome power steps, exhaust tips and a Chevrolet-branded cargo organizer. Connectivity is provided by a standard 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, and the Premier Plus package includes a 12-month data plan.

Chevy has implemented new features for 2019, including a 10-speed automatic transmission to provide smaller steps between each ratio to maximize engine power under acceleration. A broad 7.39 overall gear ratio spread and lower numerical top gear ratio, the transmission also decreases engine revolutions at highway speeds and this conserses gas as less work equals less energy consumed. Included is the Magnetic Ride Control,an active suspension that tracks the road to account for every ding along the way every millisecond, triggering damping changes in the electronically controlled shock absorbers in as few as 10-15 milliseconds. As a result, the suspension presents improved body-motion control during cornering and a more pleasant ride while cruising.

The available 6.2-Liter V8 was built to be strong and modern, hitting 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. The engine delivers three state-of-the-art technologies. These technologies include direct injection, Active Fuel Management, and continuously variable valve timing — making the most of torque, power and efficiency across a wide range of operating conditions. Chevy has thought of everything to make the ride even better with their vehicles. The result? Kelley Blue Book lists the Chevy Tahoe as one of these 5-Year      Cost to Own Award winners. That means owners will be happy with their experience driving one.

2019 Chevy Premier Plus Pricing

The 2019 Chevrolet Tahoe Premier Plus, boasting a Best-in-class V8 highway fuel economy, starts at $74,100  MSRP (plus destination fee), while the 2019 Chevrolet Suburban Premier Plus will start at $76,900 MSRP (plus destination fee). The 2019 Tahoe and Suburban Premier Plus are set to start production in August 2018. For those who want to get their hands on the latest Chevy vehicles, there’s one place to make that happen.

Drive the “Most American Car” With These Two Chevy Vehicles

The Chevrolet Corvette was rated the “Most American” car in a recent university study. This is fitting as the Corvette has long been heralded as “America’s Sports Car”. The survey was developed by the Kogod Made in America Auto Index and reported by the National Corvette Museum in a news release.

“With a top score of 83.5 points, Corvette earned bragging rights by racking up the points within seven criteria including profit margin; labor; research and development; inventory, capital and other expenses; engine; transmission; and body, chassis and electrical components,” the museum noted in reporting research by the Center for Automotive Research to determine “total domestic content.”

How the Research Was Conducted

The beginning of the survey began as far back as 2013. Frank DuBois, an associate professor of the International Business Kogod school at American University in Washington, D.C. set out to find which vehicle was the most highly regarded American vehicle. While DuBois had his mind made up that no vehicle had ever been truly American made since dating back to the original Ford Model T, “You could argue that some of those parts were mined or manufactured out of the country,” according to DuBois. Following the top spot of the Chevrolet Corvette, finishing first out of 544 vehicles, was the Chevrolet Volt. For those that had any question about which brand is the most American, just look at this report. The report came up with a numerical value attached to various components to determine which vehicle would end up being labeled “Most American”.

Criteria to Determine Outcome

Profit margin is the first measurement used in the report, and points are earned based on the location of the automaker’s headquarters. A vehicle would receive 6 points if the automaker was based out ot the United States. If not, they would receive no points. Labor was a secondary requirement and if an automaker had their products made elsewhere, they wouldn’t receive any points; if they did they would gain 6 points. Research & development for the vehicle could earn an additional 6 points if both were done in the United States. If they were developed, but not assembled or vice versa in the U.S., they would only receive 3 points instead of 6 points. Inventory, capital and other expenses amounted to 11 points if the vehicle was assembled in the United States.

The largest proponent of the research was based off where the engine was produced. If the engine was produced in the United States, the vehicle would gain 14 points and zero points if the automaker didn’t make the vehicle in the United States. The transmission amounts to 7 points and follows the same rules as the engine. Finally, the body, chassis and electrical components made up fifty percent of the total vehicle score. The AALA percentage was divided into two to derive the total score. After all was said and done, Chevy took home both top two spots.

More on the Winner and Runner-up

While the 2019 Chevrolet Corvette is beloved for all the speed and high-performance ability, the Chevy Volt has enjoyed earning the love of customers for having unmatched fuel efficiency. For those looking for a compact car that is as American as they come and provides 43 city and 42 highway MPG, look no further than the 2018 Chevy Volt. A plug-in hybrid vehicle that offers up to 53 electric emission-free miles and a total of 420 miles with a full charge and full tank of gas. A 2018 IIHS Top Safety pick award winner, the 2018 Chevy Volt is ideal for many.

Drive Chevy With Us

Of course, if speed is what drives the final choice, there’s hardly a sports car that can match the up to 755 horsepower found in the hand-assembled 6.2-Liter LT5 supercharged Corvette engine. For a chance to get a good look at either American made vehicle, there’s a place where both vehicles are available right now.

If you’ve been looking for a vehicle that has the power and high-performance you’ve always wanted, look no further than the “Most American” brand new 2019 Chevrolet Corvette. We have them in stock and are waiting for you to see for yourself. We also carry the latest 2018 Chevrolet Volt, which provides all the reliability of Chevy with high-end fuel efficiency.

2019 Chevy Silverado: More Advanced Than Ever

2019-Chevy-Ssilverado-1500-Miami-Lakes

The latest Silverado from Chevrolet is an improved and better developed light-duty pickup truck. Through upgrading their truck bed, parts, new frame and overall interior,  Chevy knew they had to name their truck bed to differentiate itself from other companies. Simply put, the new Chevy “Durabed” truck bed is way more advanced than what is offered with the competition. The 2019 Silverado increased its bed size by at least 10 cubic feet from the previous model and can boast having a Best-in-class cargo volume, box length and box depth.

Chevy Presents the Durabed

The Durabed is made from a high-strength steel and handles pressure unlike any other truck bed Chevrolet has produced. Consider this: the new 2019 Silverado is so tough it can withstand 72518.9 pounds of pressure-per-square-inch. That 2019 Silverado rating is over double the previous Silverado rating from the 2018 Chevrolet Silverado truck. This increased durability means customers will have a vehicle that handles heavy use without dents hurting the Durabed exterior. With stronger materials, it’s a better product and overall satisfaction for owners – just what Chevy intended.

“The bed is the heart and soul of any pickup, so we made several improvements to the bed of the all-new Silverado to give our customers an even better hauling experience,” said Tim Herrick, executive chief engineer, Full-Size Trucks, General Motors.

Into the Resigned and Stronger Silverado

Updated technology shines through with General Motors exclusive 3 x 7-inch configurable color head-up display, 8-inch configurable driver information center and rear camera mirror. The upgrades extend to the powertrain as well with more choices than ever before. All engines are paired with the choice of three available transmissions, including six-, eight- and 10-speed automatic transmissions. The upcoming 3.0-Liter diesel engine is coming soon, and the Crew Cab Silverado models have increased payload up to 14 percent more. The 4.3-Liter V6 provides a maximum towing capacity of 8,000 pounds, the 5.3-Liter V8 with the Max Towing Package provides a maximum towing capacity of 11,600 pounds and the 6.2-Liter with four-wheel drive, with the Maximum Towing Package, provides owners an impressive maximum towing capacity of 12,200 pounds, an over 500 pound increase from the previous model.

Exceeding Expectations

Powerful and strong, many would expect the 2019 Silverado to not offer improved fuel economy – they would be wrong. The 5.3-Liter V8 eight-speed automatic and 6.2-Liter V8 with 10-speed automatic transmission both offer more than a 5 percent improvement in city fuel economy, now reaching 17 city MPG. The highway miles per gallon has improved as well, reaching 23 mpg for the 2019 Silverado. Models with the four-wheel drive and 6.2-Liter V8 can get a fuel economy of 16 city and 20 highway MPG; impressive. The upcoming 2.7-Liter Turbo and Duramax 3.0-Liter Turbo-Diesel engine gas mileage has not been released yet.

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado begins at $29,795 MSRP (plus destination fee) for the base model Work Truck. The most expensive, superior 2019 Silverado High Country has $54,495 MSRP. We have nearly the entire lineup of new 2019 Silverado trucks at Miami Lakes Automall.

Strongest and Fastest Pickups on the Market

2018-Ram-3500-Hauling-Exterior

Every pickup truck is measured by a few categories. One of the most important features any pickup truck should aspire to have is overpowering strength. With high-level strength comes high-powered engines with increased tow ratings among the beasts on the market; there’s more than one choice and we have our favorites. The 2018 Ram 3500 Laramie pickup is a massive option, the Ford Super Duty F-350 holds its own, but the 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 High Country is the clear cut winner for strength and speed and is superior to its competition.

In a test conducted to Pickuptrucks.com, a 4,9000 pound Big Tex dump trailer was filled with 8,100 pounds was connected to each pickup and driven through the hills and turns on an Arizona highway. The Ram 3500 Laramie faced off against the 2018 Silverado 3500 High Country and 2018 Ford Super Duty F-350 Lariat. Let’s look at the results, shall we?

Up the Hills We Go

The challenge for these three pickups started with the Davis Dam Hill Climb. The 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 hit a speed of 74 mph and finished the path in two minutes and three seconds. Not far behind was the Ford Super Duty F-350 that finished a second later; 13 seconds behind the Silverado was the 2018 Ram 3500. This run was exactly 2.23 miles at 7 percent grade.

Keep in mind, 7% grade is the slope of the road. Percent means per one-hundred so 7% grade is 7 per one-hundred. If the road is climbing then this means for every 100 units you travel horizontally you increase your altitude by 7 units. They tested a second run to see how fast the 40-to-60 mph climb would take from 4th gear start. Chevy won there as well, hitting 18.23 seconds, Ford Super Duty F-350 finished in 18.31 seconds and lastly the Ram 3500 hit a time of 18.76 seconds. The total weight of what each truck pulled was 13,000 pounds.

The 2018 Ford Super-Duty F-350 hit a top speed of 72 mph and the 2018 Ram 3500 hit a top speed of 68 mph. The Ford pickup felt slower to the editors even though it finished not far behind the Chevy Silverado. The editors noted that the Ford had trouble with bumps that would set the truck into an aggressive fore-aft motion, running less smooth than the Chevy or Ram pickup. While the Chevy and Ford finished faster, the Ram pickup did not struggle to climb and felt “the most commercial-truck feek” according to the editors that completed the testing.

Descending Hill Run

The 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500 easily dropped speed from 65 mph to 45 mph without struggle and could comfortably handle the rigors of hauling the heavy cargo without exhausting the brakes. Just as impressive was the Ram 3500 that broke with a deep, big-rig sound and held its own when shifting and braking on the run. Towing is such an important part of owning a pickup truck. When considering your choices, there’s more than one option.

Miami Lakes Automall Has Your Truck Needs Covered

We want you to find the right pickup truck you need. There’s more selection at Miami Lakes Automall, you can find a range of options, including the 2018 Ram 3500 and 2018 Chevy Silverado 3500. Best Bed of Any Pickup: 2019 Chevy Silverado

2019-Chevrolet-Silverado-Miami-Lakes-Automall

The light-duty pickup segment has been entrenched in a fierce battle for supremacy. Knowing the need for innovation is likely the key to success, Chevrolet has produced the new 2019 Chevy Silverado with several goals in mind. The first goal was to have the best-in-class cargo volume, and that goal was achieved. Chevy didn’t just stop there. With the the new Silverado, owners will also have best-in-class box depth and box length at floor. This innovation is helping the Silverado have its very own niche to gain customers. Let’s examine why Chevy has now named their truck bed as “Durabed”.

Customers will also appreciate the segment-leading 12 fixed tie-downs and exclusive power up/down tailgate. Chevy has gone above and beyond with making the strides towards improving the practical uses most truck drivers use often. With the importance of a truck bed, it’s no wonder why customers seek to have a large and durable truck bed.

“The bed is the heart and soul of any pickup, so we made several improvements to the bed of the all-new Silverado to give our customers an even better hauling experience,” said Tim Herrick, executive chief engineer, Full-Size Trucks, General Motors.

Improvements In the Chevy Silverado

Compared to the 2018 Chevy Silverado, there’s 10 more cubic-feet for the short box model than the 2019 Ford F-Series. The short box model provides 63 cubic-feet. For a standbox box, there’s also 10 more cubic-feet than the 2019 Ford F-Series at 72 cubic-feet. And for the long box, a bigger difference of 14 cubic-feet with a jump to 89 cubic-feet is provided over the 77 cubic-feet of the Ford F-Series. Cargo Box depth at 22 inches is deeper than the 2019 Ford F-Series and 2019 Ram 1500. Cargo Box length at floor measures up at 70 inches for the short box, which is 3 inches more than both the Ford F-Series and Ram 1500. The standard box is at 79 inches, 3 inches longer than the 2019 Ram 1500.

Not only is the bed larger and longer than the competition, the 2019 Silverado is also the strongest bed made by Chevrolet. The Silverado has high-strength steel in the Durabed and announced the material is stronger than the previous Silverado beds with a rating of 500 megapascals, the unit of measurement for resistance a material has to concentrated impacts. The new Durabed is tough, so tough it’s previous rating for the Chevy Silverado was only 340 megapascals. This means the new Durabed is tough, so tough that it can withstand 72518.9 pounds of pressure-per-square-inch. That’s double its previous rating. This increase in the strength of how much pressure it can withstand over an area and the 2019 Silverado Durabed is capable of withstanding bumps without denting.

2019 Chevrolet Yenko Corvette Has a Whopping 1,000 Horsepower

Miami-Lakes-Automall-Yenko-Corvette

The 2019 Chevrolet Yenko Corvette has been announced to begin production again. After a long awaited return, Corvette fans can breathe a sigh of relief. The Yenko Corvette is a rarity in the sports car realm with an insane and uniquely high horsepower rating of 1,000 horsepower and 835 lb-ft of torque. Yes, that is correct. ONE THOUSAND HORSEPOWER. Let’s get into the history of this special Corvette and what to expect when the latest rendition arrives in stores for customers. Currently, the base model 2019 Chevy Corvette starts at $55,495 MSRP (Plus Destination Fee).

The Yenko Corvette

Billet aluminum door sill plates are included with the special Yenko package that includes a Yenko 1000HT Supercharged inscription and the specific vehicle build number, which is ranged from one to 25. That’s right, only 25 units of the Yenko Corvette will be sold – 25 for each Stage I and Stage II version. The exact vehicle build number sold is also listed on both of the two key fobs given to the owner (Two key fobs are better than one). The Yenko Corvette is available in any Chevy body paint color and can be purchased as a coupe or convertible. Even cooler than that is the fact that the Yenko Corvette is a two-level engine. What does that mean?

Remarkable Engine and Packages

The 2019 Chevrolet Corvette Grand Sport has a base engine of 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque in a 6.2-Liter LT1 V8 engine. With the optional Z07 Package ($7,995) which brings performance add ons like a Magnetic Selective Ride Control, four-wheel carbon-ceramic Brembo brakes and Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup 2 Summer tires. The real treat comes from the additional performance added with the Speciality Vehicle Engineering (SVE). There are a two options for the Corvette that customers can choose: the 835 horsepower Stage I or 1,000 horsepower Stage II version of the LT1 small block V8 engine. The extra horsepower provided is from the SVE boosts displacement from the standard 6.2-Liter Supercharged V8.

What makes this Corvette truly stand out is the available Stage II package, that pushes this Corvette to an unprecedented 1,000 horsepower. Both the coupe and convertible can be equipped with either the standard seven-speed manual or optional eight-speed automatic transmission. The Stage II 1,000 horsepower package for the 2019 Corvette Grand Sport with the Z07 Package and manual transmission pushes the cost up to $69,000 on top of the base model price. With the Stage II Package for the Corvette Grand Sport with automatic transmission adding $78,000 to the cost of the base model price, due to the extensive requirements needed to store the automatic gearbox. Not just any vehicle can handle this kind of horsepower and torque levels, but the makers at Chevy have found a way to create this one-of-a-kind Corvette.

With the increased horsepower, the engine jumps to a 6.8-Liter Supercharged V8 engine with an aluminum block, upgraded higher flow exhaust system, forged 4340 steel crankshaft and H-beam rods, forged aluminum pistons, a 10-rib dedicated belt drive system, and to make everything work seamlessly, the SVE includes a 2.9-Liter supercharger that gives the total horsepower of 1,000 with it’s ridiculously impressive 875 lb-ft of torque.

Let Them Know It’s a Yenko

Yenko is plastered all over the Corvette to let bystanders know the difference from imposters. Drivers will have a Yenko front fender graphic, rear fascia badges, Yenko logo steering wheel applique, Yenko logo seat trim and more stripe graphics throughout the interior and exterior showing off the Yenko name. This rare vehicle is available to order from select Chevy dealerships that work with Specialty Vehicle Engineering. Once the vehicle is ordered from the SVE facility in Toms River, New Jersey, a month of work will go into shifting the Corvette Grand Sport into either version of the Yenko/SC Corvette Grand Sport monster.
