2022 Kia Ev6 Performance

* Electric Power * The Kia EV6 will be available in two sizes – a 58.0 kWh and 77.4 kWh battery to power the electric motor. Also available with rear-wheel drive (RWD) or all-wheel drive (AWD), the total power output also changes with each. When powered by the 58.0 kWh and a 160kw rear motor on RWD, the EV6 yields 167 horsepower. With RWD, a 160kw rear motor, and the 77.4 kWh battery yields 225 horsepower. If getting the 77.4 kWh battery, consumers can also choose AWD and get either a set of two motors (70kW front motor and a 160kW rear motor) that yields 320 horsepower, or a 160kW front motor and a 270kW rear motor that yields 576 horsepower. This is the setup for the GT trim, able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in under 3.5 seconds.

* Charging * The EV6 comes with the world’s first patented multi-charging system supporting 400v and 800v DC charging, able to charge in a wide range, from 50kW to 350kW. With the 11kW on-board charger (OBC), consumers can use Level 2 recharging from 10-to-100 percent in 7 hours. For those looking to get a lot of juice quickly, the 800v DC fast charging from a 350-kW charger would add up to 200 miles in less than 20 minutes. In a rush? 70 miles in 5 minutes.

2022 Kia Ev6 Style

Exterior Features We’ve gotten looks at the EV6 inside and out, but there are still so many details to be ironed out. A new “Digital Tiger” grille dons the front fascia with slanted headlights, possibly LED and automatic as standard or available features. Keeping it sporty, a high rear deck serves as a spoiler for the crossover. For now, more information is being waited on, but we know the wheel sizes are 19, 20, or 21-inches.

Interior Features Inside, we’re getting a very spacious cabin, with 27.7 cubic-feet behind the 60/40 split-folding second row, and 53.5 cubic-feet with the second row folded down. Seating options also vary; made of recycled plastic, the EV6 uses 100% vegan leather for the upholstery on several trims, offers slim front seats, 100% LED lighting, and a hands-free smart power tailgate. A panoramic dual integrated 12-inch TFT center cluster and infotainment screen stretches across the entire dashboard, and an available Augmented Reality (AR) Head-Up Display (HUD) system can project speed and Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) alerts, vehicle information, lane guidance, and turn-by-turn navigation instructions.

2022 Kia Ev6 Technology

Entertainment Many standards of the industry appear in the 2022 Kia EV6, such as Bluetooth functionality, wireless smartphone charging, and a Premium Audio system. For the EV6, the latter is an available 14-speaker sound system with a titanium dome from Meridian. Then there is UVO Link, getting more advanced every year. The UVO Link connected service offers Kia Pay, an in-car commerce experience; available Add-On customer convenience Map and Infotainment Over-The-Air (OTA) capability; an available Wi-Fi Hotspot; Stolen Vehicle Recovery; Connected Routing for using real-time maps and predicted traffic info based on historical information and AI to learn the preferred routes of users; smartwatch accessibility; connected Weather; enhanced voice assist; smart Speaker Integration with Amazon-Alexa and Google-Assistant enabled smart speaker; 911 Connect and Roadside Assistance; On-demand Find My Car with Surround View Monitor; Last Mile Navigation for navigation to every last step; and integrates the owner’s personal calendar and shows calendar events in the navigation system. It’s a lot. Safety is also a huge plus.
