The 2020 Kia Sportage ranks third in the compact SUV class, primarily because of its handsome cabin, intuitive tech features, and gentle ride. It’s a well-rounded vehicle with lots of appeals. It comes with 2020 Standard Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, an 8-inch touch screen, driver condition monitor and forward collision warning with pedestrian detection. The 2020 Kia Sportage balances comfort and sportiness nicely. The base engine it comes with produces sufficient power for highway driving, and the turbocharged option ups its potency. The 181-horsepower 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine comes standard in the Kia Sportage. On the SX Turbo trim it has a 240-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine. A six-speed automatic transmission comes standard.
The base engine is plenty powerful for everyday driving. The turbocharged engine feels more energetic. The six-speed automatic makes smooth shifts. It runs up to 23 mpg in the city and 30 mpg on the highway with the base engine. As for the turbo engine, it gets up to 20/28 mpg.
Transmission and Towing
The Sportage gives a sweet balance between comfort and sportiness. Front-wheel drive comes standard; all-wheel drive is available. The Sportage's responsive steering and balanced handling help it feel composed on winding roads. The ride is comfortable too, with the suspension quickly soaking up road flaws.
Kia says the Sportage continues with a “Euro-focused” design, but some changes happened for 2020. In the front, this means a new grille, bumper, air intake, and skid plate. The alloy wheels are also new, and it comes available in 17-, 18- and 19-inch sizes.

The Sportage has 30.7 feet of cargo space, and it's pretty good.
Kia seats up to five passengers. It has cloth seats which come standard and synthetic or genuine leather upholstery which is available. Available are heated and ventilated front seats, it also has a heated steering wheel and power-adjustable front seats. There is plenty of space, and outward visibility is excellent.
The standard features in the Sportage include Apple Carplay, Android Auto, Bluetooth, a USB port, a six-speaker sound system, and an 8-inch touch screen. Available is a navigation system, and it comes along with wireless phone charging, a second USB port, satellite radio, a Harman Kardon eight-speaker sound system. The infotainment system is easy to use, there are lots of physical controls, and the touch screen responds quickly to inputs.

The entry-level LX trim has lane keep assist, a driver attention monitor; lane departure warning, there is a rearview camera, automatic high beams, and a pre-collision warning and braking system with pedestrian detection. There is rear cross traffic alert and blind spot monitoring available, as are the front and rear parking sensors and adaptive cruise control.
