2020 Chevy Silverado
Chevrolet is calling the 2020 Silverado the strongest, most advanced Silverado ever. The 2020 Silverado will deliver a truck that’s lighter, bigger and stronger than its previous generations. The truck engine choices include and available 6.2L V8 that delivers best-in-class V8 power and towing. There is also an available Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel which offers a better fuel economy than any other pickup- 23 MPG in the city and 33 on the highway. Chevrolet is known for building a truck on the legacy of being the most dependable and long-lasting full-size pickups on the road.

The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado is available with a handful of powertrains. It has a standard 285-horsepower V6 engine, which is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission. The combination is suitable for everyday driving and light work duty.
Options include a 310-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder, a 277-horsepower inline six-cylinder turbodiesel, and a 5.3-liter and 6.2-liter V8s that deliver 355 and 420 horsepower. The larger V8 can produce 435 horses, with the newly optional Performance package. For 2020, throughout the Silverado lineup, Chevy expanded the availability of its 10-speed automatic transmission.
Riding and Handling
Sizing is everything, and how you feel driving a big truck says a lot, yet, through the 2020 Silverado is a large truck, it doesn’t feel like one. When it comes to driving around corners, and steering feedback from the road, it delivers. It’s good, just like the ride quality. Cabin insulation is good and a lot of the outside road and wind noises are isolated from the cabin.
For 2020, the Chevy Silverado is introducing the Verticle Trailering Mirrors. As for the wheels, it comes with 17-inch bright silver-painted aluminum wheels which are now on the 1WT Work Truck. There are LPO metallic wheels that can be ordered; it comes with 4-steel 22-inch wheels from the factory. The 22-inch LPO wheels are available on Custom, LT, RST, LTZ and High Country models.
On the Silverado standard Regular Cab configuration, the vehicle seats three passengers. On the Crew Cab and Double Cab, there is seating for six passengers. The Crew Cab has a huge amount of rear legroom. The front seats are supportive, and the cabin feels roomy all around.
There are three-bed lengths available on the Silverado. There are 5 feet, 10 inches; 6 feet, 7 inches; and 8 feet, 2 inches and it has the most cargo volume in the full-size pickup class. There are a dozen standard cargo tie-down that enhance the utility. As an option, there are nine more removable tie-downs, in-bed lighting, and a power tailgate.
All Silverado’s come standard with the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system. The successor to the MyLink interface. There is a 7-inch touchscreen on the lower trims, and the higher trims come with an 8-inch touchscreen. With the large buttons and simple menu structure, this entertainment system is user-friendly.
Navigation is also user-friendly, and the commands are processed very quickly. It also comes with smartphone integration; with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. If the driver or passenger wants to control the temperature or the audio levels, there are plenty of large physical buttons and knobs to get the job done.
Safety Features and Warranty
The 2020 Chevy Silverado comes with anti-lock brakes, stability control, front-impact airbags, and side-impact airbags. There are also overhead airbags, and a security system, as well.
Chevrolet covers the Silverado with a three-year/36,000-mile basic warranty and a five-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
